Getting back to reality after Oktoberfest weekend is always so damn difficult. We started off with the Monday Morning Throwback and some signs you should spend more time with your spouse. Brian recapped his Oktoberfest, and we also talked to Brody from Great River Harley-Davidson about Brian's recent Road Glide test ride. Shaw was stellar for this week's installment of "You're killin' me, Shaws" and we played "Where I'm From vs. Where I Live". There's apparently a petition to take some of the kills out of the upcoming "Halloween Kills" movie, and there was a guy who knew exactly what he wanted to buy if he'd won the massive Powerball jackpot. Plus, we told Shaw about Wikifeet, and got to a list of three things to do in & around La Crosse this weekend.   See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In the post for our previous podcast, we had to work to make a somewhat vague connection between the beer we were trying (Surfari IPA) and music (Surfaris, the band). For this episode, the connection will not require as much creative license, but there is still some mystery involved. The beverage we will be sharing with you is Where I Live, a mixed culture sour ale. It is a collaboration beer from two Colorado breweries, New Belgium (Ft. Collins) and TRVE (Denver). It features a base of 100% Colorado grown malt and was finished with Colorado whole flower lavender. As for the music connection, New Belgium’s website says that it was named after a song by a Flemish metal band. We attempted to find the song by doing a little internet research but came up empty. If anyone out there can share the song with us so that we can satisfy our curiosity, we would appreciate it. What did we think? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below or join us live on Thursday nights to give us your feedback while we are live streaming on Twitch.
