In Part 2 of our Woman in the Yard breakdown, we're going full spoilers — so if you haven't seen it, now's your warning. This episode takes a hard look at the film's central and controversial subject: suicide. We're unpacking how the movie handles such a heavy theme, what worked, what felt off, and how it all ties into that haunting final act. We'll be sharing our own perspectives on the message it tried (or failed) to send, and why the ending has stuck with — or unsettled — so many. It's raw, real, and a little uncomfortable… just like the movie.
In this episode, we're talking Woman in the Yard: Part One. Did we like it? Did we not? There's been some controversy around this one, and we've got thoughts. No spoilers—just honest reactions.

“Congratulations to The Monkey (2025) for making a wind-up toy somehow less scary than it already wasn't. In this two-hour endurance test, two brothers discover their childhood junk is killing people—shocking. They drag us through a joyless, scare-free mess that mistakes loud noises for tension. By the end, you'll be rooting for the monkey just to put everyone (including you) out of their misery.”

Tune in, beware, and hold love tight—because in this game… only fear survives at the end of the night!”
Horror fans come in all shapes and screams—there's the trivia-obsessed purist who thinks anything post-1980 is trash, the franchise defender who swears Halloween: Resurrection “isn't that bad,” and the A24 devotee who insists horror isn't real unless it's “elevated.” In this episode, we dive into the most iconic (and sometimes insufferable) horror movie fan tropes, from the gorehounds to the “I liked it before it was cool” crowd. Are we calling ourselves out? Probably.

This week, we're talking about Companion (2025), the sci-fi thriller that asks, “What if your perfect partner was just really good at pretending to love you?” Sophie Thatcher plays Iris, who thinks she's in a normal relationship—until a fun little getaway reveals she's actually an AI built to cater to Jack Quaid's every whim. Because, you know, men weren't entitled enough already. Dark humor, psychological tension, and a whole lot of ethical red flags—let's break it all down!

“Cuckoo” is an appropriate name for this movie- it's bizarrely obsessed with birds and Men In Black 3. Now as director/writer Tilman Singer's latest is HOT! ass. The new film isn't horror at all film with a winding no sense tale with no suspense. It's not well-directed and never quite manages to terrify or truly be horror, for it's afraid of horror tropes and does not play into them with a spit in the face and a wink to the audience.
