Sitting down with Alex AKA "Fresh" of the Fresh, Slick, & Mick podcast was truly eye opening. As I began to learn more about Alex's story I started to see my own life in a new way, privileges I never gave much attention to. Growing up in an abusive home is not something everyone experiences, and I feel extremely honoured that Alex was willing to share his story here on the Lemon Soul podcast. As he mentions during our conversation, without diving deep and walking through these heavy topics, nothing changes. I am so grateful to share this story and remind all the men listening, perhaps struggling with their own mental health, that you aren't alone and there IS help out there. A huge thank you to Alex for teaching us today that maintaining good mental health is an ongoing practice and one worth working for.
Sitting down with Ola was a dream come true. As we discussed food waste across the world, Ola explains the importance of why places like Kindness Cafe must exist. Our first ever quarantine podcast "over the internet" style! Sitting down with Alley is always a sure fire way to feel invigorated and at ease all at the same time.
