The #TanaTalksPodcast is a space where Comedy & Healing Unite. A creative community built on being real. A space where all cultures, ideas, views, and life are welcome. Hosted by Stand Up Comedian, Montana Doran. She believes you matter, your story matters, & you should talk about it. Hi BESTIES! Welcome back to the Tana Talks Podcast. This week we are joined by Shelby Tesio. She is a stylist, actress, comedian, producer, and co-founder of Handup-Standup! We talk Shelbys journey from a small town in Illinois to moving to Atlanta. Shelby went to school on an Acting Scholarship. Shelby moved to Atlanta to start her career on set as a stylist. Shelby really enjoyed being onset, and got her feet wet by being behind the scenes. We talk her journey to begin acting herself. After she began acting she noticed she kept getting sad roles to read, she didn't enjoy the sad roles, and she wanted to do something more fun/creative... So thats when she started doing stand up! She started creating her own content & began feeling freedom from the content she created. Once she began creating content of her own, she began getting more opportunities in both comedy and acting! We talk how your next opportunity will always come through a person. We talk about how to balance comedy, life, acting, and so much more. She talks what to do when you're not feeling funny. She talks knowing yourself and knowing when you need to take a break. She talks knowing yourself and knowing when to fill up your tank. We also talk ways to balance, and how to still be creative while running a business. We talk differences between male and female comics & some of the stereotypes that come…And of course, we talk about the last time she cried! We talk all things Handup Standup & the origin story of this beautiful business. Multiple venues around Atlanta currently produce Hand Up Stand Up shows and open mics, while a growing number of nonprofits, businesses, and sponsors join us. Our entertainment is unmatched: from the quality of production, to the talent we bring in, and more! Looking for the perfect spot around Atlanta for a great night out? Come to a Hand Up Stand Up show! And if you're feeling brave and want to give stand-up a go for the first time, come to one of our open mic nights! Looking for an Atlanta-based comic and actress who will catch your ear, your eye, and your funny bone all in equal measure? Your search ends here. From her youthful days in her feisty Italian family, to the moment she started comedy, Shelby Tesio has attracted the spotlight. She got her start early on at local open mics around the city, with her first show at the Tin Roof Cantina, drawing a great crowd… and they haven't been able to escape her since, since she was able to turn that into a regular hosting gig. See? Made for the spotlight! While she has appeared on Adult Swim and has been featured on HLN Network, Shelby is also happy to play in the background (specifically in wardrobe, by making her actors look fabulous in various films and television productions). She has also assisted on multiple platforms including FOX, Esquire Magazine, and a few national commercials. Shelby is thrilled to be a part of the Hand Up Stand Up team, because helping people matters and the spotlight really is better when shared. When that feisty Italian family of Shelby's isn't busy inspiring her, they're probably busy being disappointed by her dark humor instead. Either way, she provides a memorable laugh! #MontanaDoran #creativecommunity #comedyinterview --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/montanadoran/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/montanadoran/support
In today's PorscheCooled Podcast Michael presents episode 67 of owner stories with Brennan from Las Vegas. It's fair to say that Brennan's dad gave him the Porsche bug. His dad is a car collector with over 20 cars including Shelbys, Corvettes, and Porsches including a 930 Turbo and a classic Porsche 356. Brennan has fond childhood memories of walking out into the garage and always seeing a Porsche in there. This included sitting in his dads ‘88 911 Cabriolet over the years and feeling the steering wheel and remembering the sounds and smells of the 911. Before his first 911, Brennan owned fun drivers cars including an Audi A4, BMW 135, E92 M3 and even a Ken Block Ford Focus. Brennan enjoyed driver's cars that he could mod and make his own. His first 911? Well, it's a 964 Carrera 2, 6 speed in Grand Prix white - just what he wanted. Late last year Brennan's Porsche garage expanded with the addition of an '88 911 Commemorative Edition Cabriolet. A car from his dad's collection and from Brennan's childhood gifted to him on his wedding day. Welcome back to the PorscheCooled podcast. Follow Brennan on Instagram @brennanmurph Michael (@michael.bath) owns a first generation 997 Carrera, comes from Australia and currently resides in Bahrain. In this Live Listening Series episode we begin with Shelby, a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, sharing her story with us. From there we take a trip back in time to New York City in June of 1969 to discuss the infamous Stonewall Riots. We compare and contrast the protests and riots of that time to the ones that we are experiencing today. We further identify the organizations whose origins can be traced back to these outcries for social justice and equality and how much they share in common. (Gay Liberation Front and Black Lives Matter) BIO: This week I am joined by DJ Shelby Haun. Shelby attended Western Kentucky University where she got her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work. After graduating, she worked as a targeted case manager and worked in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy with children in rural Kentucky. Shelby relocated to Dallas/Fort Worth in 2015 and worked as a program therapist with the intensive outpatient program of a psychiatric hospital and now works as a service coordinator for children (up to age 21) with mental disabilities. The depth and breadth of Shelbys work in both Kentucky and Dallas has honed her skills in rural and urban social work. Shelby started DJing 2013 and did so with a certain wild abandon. She has provided DJ/MC services for wedding receptions, awards banquets, parties, fundraisers and school dances. Since moving to Dallas, she has been working alongside and learning from her mentor DJ Rod Baker for six months and is already considered an invaluable part of the DFW Parties team.

What is the "Steve McQueen Multiplier" and how will it impact the sale of the Bullitt Mustang? Join Greg Stanley as calculates the McQueen Multiplier and dives deep into collector car data in preparation for the sale of Steve McQueen's Bullitt Mustang at Mecum’s Kissimmee auction. Greg does the impossible and makes an educated guess on what this iconic Mustang will sell for by analyzing six data sets: current Muscle Car trends, “non-Bullitt” 1968 Mustang values, top selling Mustangs and Shelbys of all time, recent sales results of movie cars, calculating and applying the Steve McQueen Multiplier and reviewing a few Iconic items that have sold recently. Greg then throws all of this data into his "al-gonk-cu-lator" to come up with his best guess to the final hammer price. All data is sourced from Sports Car Market’s Platinum database, Hagerty’s Valuation Tools and the website links which can be found in the blog at www.TheCollectorCarPodcast.com. About The Collector Car Podcast The Collector Car Podcast is an automotive podcast where Greg Stanley interviews the experts, reviews recent auto auction trends and talks about cool car places he visits while traveling across the US. I have known Shelby since I was a kid, we grew up together and our friendship has only grown and grown throughout our school years into adulthood. Something we were always able to bond over was being a Sick Kid - and not only do I mean .. living with sickness, but being a member of the Toronto Sick Kids Hospital. I have always admired Shelby for all the things shes gone through and how she chooses to live her life. Growing up sick is not easy mentally or physically, but Shelby has managed to take hold of her life and advocate for her health. Tune in to listen to Shelbys story on how she went from being diagnosed with Lupus to living freely from pill popping and engaging in a more natural path approach. Strength comes from the stuff that tried to break us, but we were just stronger and Shelby is truly the human embodiment of this Things we cover! Growing up SICK.

We wish the very best and a speedy recovery to Sports Car Market publisher Keith Martin, talk about how bad things can happen to good cars, and preview some of the automotive events coming this Spring. Kelly & Amy learn that some girls are more important than others in their recap of Peaky Blinders S4E3. They discuss Selective Grace Syndrome, the Luncheon Kingdom, try to figure out when Pol got her hair cut, lobby for the dissolution of Future Arsonists of America, diagnose Adrien Brody with lockjaw, decry Cillian's stupid pocket of convenient retconning, and declare Lizzie too good for the Shelbys. All this, plus Kelly finally learns what a Nintendo Switch is, Amy compares Peaky Blinders to Murder, She Wrote, and everyone has fun always carrying a light sweater. Adams Hudson is the Founder and CEO of Hudson, Ink a company that helps contractors thrive through marketing training and coaching. However it is his significant automotive addiction, owning more than 150 cars over his 40 years of driving, that brings Adams to Cars Yeah today. He’s made money buying and selling lots of cars so his hobby paid for itself, instead of siphoning off grocery money, largely placating his patient wife. He wrote a book for Motorbooks International that was published and has penned several magazines articles and once owned a market letter for Panteras, Shelbys, and Tigers. Adams self described credentials? Product Design Chief for AMC Gremlin, Financial Advisor for Deloren, and Luggage Space Consultant for the Alfa 4.
The Shelbys are back! The third series of the hit show, Peaky Blinders, has returned to our screens with a new director, Tim Mielants. Tim is a huge “fan boy” of the show says series producer Simon Maloney, which is something that helped the pair bond easily and build an invaluable producer/director relationship. In this week's podcast the BBC Academy's Roxy Ebrahim-Khan speaks to Simon as well as the show's BAFTA award-winning director of photography Laurie Rose. Simon says he's got “peaky blood”, meaning he's worked on the previous series (as a first assistant director specifically); he tells us how he found producing the show for the first time and how he dealt with the head shift. Simon says as a producer “you manage the shoot from a distance” so work closely with a lot of people, including all the heads of departments, secretaries, runners, but also people outside of the production team. So forging great working relationships and having excellent communication skills are paramount. Whereas as a first assistant director, you manage the shoot from the floor, constantly talking to a lot of the production crew, so some of the skills are transferrable and made his first time producing a bit easier. What's a DoP, you might ask? That's the first thing Laurie explains in the second interview of the podcast, detailing exactly what his role is and how it fits into the production. It can be a challenge coming onto a show a few series down the line, especially one like Peaky when it already has an established and very distinctive look. Laurie discusses how he put his stamp on it. We cover Laurie's route to becoming a DoP and some of his other work, including London Spy (which won him a BAFTA), Friday Night Dinner, Him & Her and The Job Lot. And what if you fancy doing Laurie's job yourself? Laurie dishes out some great advice and tips.

In the premiere episode of their Peaky Blinders podcast, Kelly & Tom cover S1E1 in stripped down, very manly fashion. They are pleased to report that there is more diversity in a single episode of Peaky Blinders than in an entire five seasons of Downton Abbey, plus Cillian Murphy. They also have more to say about horses than usual, make fun of Grace’s singing and Sam Neill’s everything, express their disappointment in the show’s lone communist, get turnt up for the Sorrowful Mysteries, and point out that Winston Churchill really doesn’t look like himself. Kelly gets amped up about opium, Tom prescribes Adderal for Monaghan Boy, and everyone once again takes this opportunity to talk smack about Titanic BS.
