It's 2020 and we meet people on TikTok now! When I first saw Jay's content online I not only fell in love with his music, but with the fact that he wasn't faking his way through some perfect lens online. I am so glad that he agreed to do the podcast and give his two cents about "making it" in such a tough industry as a country artist. Not only do we talk music, writing and his big Netflix opportunity - but Jay opens up about his views on relationships, love, and how the connection you make with those online is the biggest thing that matters. Staying authentic online has allowed Jay to regrow his following in the most genuine way, here is an artist who truly cares about making a connection with his followers and showcasing all sides of who he is! I can't wait for ya'll to hear Jason Maxwell for the first time in an interview, uncut! Check it out now!

Jason Maxwell, AKA J Max Fitness in the house for Round 2 of The Adonyx Podcast. He breaks down how his Instagram content is so easy to understand yet powerful, why he loves float tanks, meditation, and ways you can start lucid dreaming. The guys also talk about sleep — how much they get, how they get it, and why it's important. Key Takeaways: [3:26] JMax keeps his Instagram, @JMax, super easy to read with tips and tricks people can start implementing right away for massive results. He keeps it updated daily and posts information from all over the spectrum of fitness that all levels can learn from. [5:50] Check out Connor's Instagram for a video of him and @britthertz covering all bases of a post that should go viral (hot girl, shirtless dude with muscles, crazy flips). Be sure to tag your friends. [7:50] If you want to lose fat, you have to be in the deficit either by eating less, or burning more calories. Cardio does have some benefits; it can be boring and time-consuming whereas it takes less effort to put yourself in a deficit by eating less. [13:29] Wingate sprints are one of the best ways to burn fat, maximize high-intensity cardio and create some major leg gains. [18:54] Both Connor and JMax love the Float Tank experience. The sensory deprivation aspect makes it easy to meditate, let your brain settle and be stimulation-free for a small amount of time. [25:51] JMax also has seen some major benefits from meditating and aims to do it at least 10 minutes every day. [28:59] Sleep is pretty much everything. We need it, and we are pretty messed up without it even for just a few days. Connor finds 8 hours of sleep a day, even if it's naps for 30-90 minutes. [32:33] Sleep cycles are made up of deep sleep, REM and light sleep. We need deep sleep to rest and relax and REM to have good memory and recall, and to stay sharp and focused. [35:02] Two side effects Connor notices when he doesn't get enough sleep are water retention, and feeling way hungrier. [50:24] Lucid dreaming hack: In your waking life, when you turn on and off the lights, ask yourself if you are dreaming and you will start to do the same in your sleep, leading to the ability to lucid dream. This week, we welcome muscle building expert and guru and for real rocket scientist Jason Maxwell. We bust some of the biggest myths in fitness today, talk about how Jason gets the high-quality results for himself and his clients, and give the real info on how to get and stay lean and build muscle. Key Takeaways: [3:29] Jason didn't need to hook up with a teacher in school, he is smart and actually got A's on his own. [5:11] He's not kidding … Jason Maxwell is really a rocket scientist. Despite urging from his family and teachers to go more into education and science, Jason went down the fitness path and blasted off from there. [13:55] Jason fasts until 7 p.m., and only eats one meal a day. When he is cutting, he finds it spikes his lectin levels and keeps him satisfied and less hungry the next day. [17:18] Research shows the protein you need to get is 0.82 grams per pound, rather than 1 gram per pound. [20:27] Connor has a theory that when you eat one meal a day, you need more protein than when you spread your meals around. [23:02] Have a big test the next day? The guys explain why you may want to choose a handful of beets over a giant stack of pancakes. [26:42] Connor has started taking Cialis and is noticing an improvement in his physique. [31:25] Real news: to tone, you must eat in a caloric deficit. To build muscle, you need to be doing heavy weights or high reps, or heavy weights and low reps. [34:37] If you train with resistance and high-intensity interval training, you will lose fat on that body part. In general, your arms are much leaner than your torso because there is more blood flow to that area. [37:02] When your fat cells break down into fatty acids, they will turn back into fat cells again unless you are in caloric deficit. [41:26] Connor ponders selling his sperm, getting a vasectomy and upselling what he offers to the ladies of Instagram. [46:28] Instagram girls, we know how you are getting on those yachts in Dubai, and it ain't through FitTea. [52:50] We talk about the advantage of the pay gap in men vs. women, and the differences between genders in work, dating and just even out in the public. [62:04] Want to go out, get hyped up and achiever better boners? Rebellion will lead you to your victory. Use code Connor10 for 10% off. Propane Podcast Episode 91 Show notes This week on the Propane Fitness Podcast, Jonny and Yusef are joined by Jason Maxwell of JMAX Fitness. Jason takes an evidence based approach to fitness to help people get lean and strong. According to Jason, "getting jacked isn't rocket science", and with a degree in Aerospace Engineering, he should know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmtLS5iVUs8&feature=youtu.be Time Stamps Propane Picks Week Ending 23/07 It's that time of the week again where we sift through the best of the Fitness and Productivity world for your listening, viewing and reading pleasure. If you'd like to be considered for the Pick List or would like to pen a guest article for us then shoot us a message. Our Top Pick this week is - Check Your Ego at the Door and Maximize Your Gains - Chris Tutela, Elite FTS In this fantastic piece, Chris Tutela discusses the average gym-goers biggest barrier to training success - Their ego. There is no wonder why such little progress is made for most public gym-goers. Not only is there no plan in place, but there is also no consideration for their weight selection. Just a quick, “Ah, throw the 25’s on” when in reality they should be taking about 60 pounds off. And there is one common theme amongst lifters, which continues to destroy their progress. That is…The ego! The rest of the list is pretty awesome too!
