Alex is coming at you solo today to share his biggest life lesson as a neuro marketer. It happened with his very first neuro marketing client. He was confident he could help his client and ended up generating $2million in 3 days off of $50k in ad spend. Alex had hit it out of the park and was on cloud nine. Until he got a text that there was a problem. It turns out Alex had done too well. He sold more inventory than was available. Customers' money had to be returned and the company's reputation took a big hit. Not only did Alex not get paid, but he worked for free the next three months to help turn the company's reputation back around. It taught him a valuable lesson, though, a lesson he credits with generating $60million in 2021 for his clients. He learned to ask better questions. Now he requires all new clients to go through a two-day deep dive. He makes sure he has all the data he could possibly need before he starts making any decisions. What You'll Learn: How Alex got into marketing. How to ask better questions. What one quality every entrepreneur has. What Alex's two-day deep dive consists of. Favorite Quote: “Great businesses are focused on creating an amazing experience for their customers.” - Alex
Alex brings in Hidden Falls Media's Director of Business Development, Phil Leisure, to share what he knows. In the last episode, we talked about the importance of setting a plan. Last year brought failure for countless businesses, and it's because they didn't have a comprehensive marketing plan. Marketing isn't sales, it's just a means of getting to the sales process. Phil says with so many different avenues of marketing, it's foolish to focus on just one. Phil reminds us to take a look at how clients are finding you, how you are using different marketing avenues, and in what combinations. Is your brand creating a wow experience? Do you even have a brand? People will buy a product once, but they'll stay engaged with a brand. It can be exhausting always trying to introduce a new product to keep people engaged with you. Build your brand, build the experience, build your sales. What You'll Learn: Where most holes in marketing plans are found. How to move from marketing to sales. How to analyze your customers' sales journey. How to utilize the back side of the funnel. Favorite Quote: “In today's world, nobody doesn't know they're being sold to.” -Phil Leisure
