Star Wars: In a Galaxy – Watching all the Star Wars we can get our hands on.
In the second and final episode of Season 10.5 of Star Wars: In a Galaxy, Eli and Jacob discuss four more shorts from the first season of Star Wars: Visions, "Tatooine Rhapsody", "T0-B1", "Lop and Ochô" and "Akakiri". Among their discussion: – Is a non-war STAR WARS possible? – Familiar stuff in Star Wars: Visions – Hope in a dark time. – A droid Jedi? – AN INQUISITOR! – A darker story than expected. – Family and/vs. found family! (Rey Skywalker btw) – The Empire at its peak! – Broken trust. – "Akakiri"'s pacing is... interesting. – The Prequel Trilogy allegory! The next episode of Star Wars: In a Galaxy will release on August 12, 2022. Epic Confrontations 3: JAROD THE DARK JEDI vs. ALDEN "THE ICONOCLAST" DIAZ premiered on July 27th! Do not listen to this episode if you loved Akakiri. Yeah, sure we finally rank the nine episodes of Star Wars: Visions at the end, but it won't be worth hearing how much the host didn't like this episode if you enjoyed it. Steve's issues with Akakiri almost left HIM in a "red haze" and if this had been episode one, there might not have been any coverage of the series beyond a single general thoughts episode. Maybe that would have been best, but so much time was invested in really giving this series a chance. You might have liked this episode, but this one, to This is the Way Podcast, was hard to watch. Was it put in the last spot on purpose? Maybe the executive producers knew there might be a cold reception to it. Were they saving "the best for last" because if that's their idea of great storytelling, then this podcast is not looking forward to a possible season two. Up next for This is the Way Podcast is Obi-wan Kenobi! The limited series debuts May 27th with two episodes in one day! Please check out our links at Linktree. Do we have free will or is everything that happens in our lives pre-determined? This BIG topic and nothing less is what we cover in this episode as we examine the ninth and final episode of Star Wars Visions. In Akakiri, our hero Tsubaki seems all but doomed to a very dark fate. Can he change that trajectory? What an ending! A bit of a downer, but still pretty epic! Colleen and Anders wrap up their initial look at Star Wars Visions with the final short, Akakiri. This is it. The end of our Visions arc. The first show we've gone through in its entirety! Thanks so much to all of you who have stuck with us and we hope you enjoy our final thoughts on Star Wars Visions, as well as our thoughts on the last episode, Akakiri. Also, stick around to the end when we reveal our next show coming up after Visions! Happy listening and we hope you enjoy the show. (Disclaimer: We are not a spoiler-free show, listen at your own risk if you haven't watched the episodes being discussed.)
In this episode, Rachael and Kirsty begin with a quick and mostly non-spoilery review of Denis Villeneuve's ‘Dune' (aka the other big space movie). We both share our initial impressions, and our hopes for the much hoped for sequel. We then cover the following news: - Hayden Christensen reported to return in the ‘Ahsoka' series - A new poster teases the climax of Phase I of the High Republic We then move on to our final discussion (for now!) on 'Star Wars: Visions', delving into the last three episodes: The Elder, Lop & Ochō and Akakiri. We really enjoyed the show, particularly these episodes, and are really hoping for more Star Wars stories that are similarly inspired. We also bring things back around to a curiously similar project, The Animatrix, touching on points of difference and similarity between the two projects. Many thanks to Christy Carew for the Scavenger's Hoard theme, and Nemling for our artwork.

This Week on Tatooine Sons:A couple of us were less than thrilled with the Season 1 finale, "What If...The Watcher Broke His Oath." We'll see if having a few minutes to discuss it helps us process that crazy Gomora appearance that made no sense. Next, we'll look at one of the more unappreciated shorts in Star Wars Visions, "Akakiri." This one goes down a philosophical path about destiny and free will. (And BB-N8 throws prequels Yoda under the bus again.)Finally, we've got all you need to know to get read for DC Fandome coming October 16th including all the movies, animation, games, comics and potential surprises. #DalePacoto❤️ TIMELINE 00:00:00 INTRO FOSERA 00:01:54 INICIO Y PRESENTACIONES 00:07:55 CAPÍTULO 1 "THE DUEL" 01:08:01 CAPÍTULO 2 "TATOOINE RHAPSODY" 01:25:33 CAPÍTULO 3 "THE TWINS" 01:55:58 CAPÍTULO 4 "THE VILLAGE BRIDE" 02:22:18 CAPÍTULO 5 "THE NINTH JEDI" 02:47:00 CAPÍTULO 6 "T0-B1" 03:10:20 CAPÍTULO 7 "THE ELDER" 03:40:47 CAPÍTULO 8 "LOP AND OCHÔ" 03:59:11 CAPÍTULO 9 "AKAKIRI" 04:16:30 CONCLUSIONES FINALES Y DESPEDIDAS www.lafosadelrancor.com
