Bobby Moynihan, Gaten Matarazzo, Tony Revolori, Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit talk to me about the new series, LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild The Galaxy. I was part of a roundtable discussion with them to talk about how they each approached the series. We even geek out over Star Wars collectibles and LEGOs.  About LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild The Galaxy The entire Star Wars Galaxy gets completely mixed up. It happens when an ordinary nerf-herder, Sig Greebling (Gaten Matarazzo) , unearths a powerful artifact from a hidden Jedi temple. He finds himself thrust into adventure in a new, wondrously wild and twisted version of the galaxy. It is where good guys are bad, bad guys are good, and the fate of all depends on Sig. Can he become the hero who can put all the pieces back together? The show also has the voice talents of Tony Revolori, Bobby Moynihan, Marsai Martin, Michael Cusack, Ahmed Best, and Mark Hamill. The Executive Producers are Dan Hernandez, Benji Samit, James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, Josh Rimes, Jill Wilfert, Jason Cosler and Keith Malone. Watch the series on Disney+.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1IVPJGnwGA About The Art of Fatherhood Podcast  The Art of Fatherhood Podcast follows the journey of fatherhood. Pete Fletzer and Nick Mielke had the opportunity to interview Star Wars Visions executive producers James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez and Josh Rimes about the new animated anthology series. Those conversations are presented in this episode of the Around the Galaxy podcast along with their (mostly) spoiler free reactions and review of the series. From the release:“Star Wars: Visions” will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on May 4, 2023. Following on the Emmy Award®-nominated success of “Star Wars: Visions,” the newest volume will continue to push the boundaries of "Star Wars" storytelling, with nine new shorts from 9 studios from around the globe. Employing the most captivating animation styles from a variety of countries and cultures, the second volume offers a dynamic new perspective on the storied mythos of Star Wars. The shorts included in “Star Wars: Visions” Volume 2 were created by the following international animation studios: El Guiri (Spain), Cartoon Saloon (Ireland), Punkrobot (Chile), Aardman (United Kingdom), Studio Mir (South Korea) Studio La Cachette (France), 88 Pictures (India), D'art Shtajio (Japan), and Triggerfish (South Africa). D'Art Shtajio's short was created in collaboration with Lucasfilm Ltd. (United States). “The reaction to the first volume of ‘Star Wars: Visions' blew us away. We were delighted that this project inspired and resonated with so many people,” says James Waugh, “Star Wars: Visions” executive producer and Senior Vice President Franchise Content & Strategy at Lucasfilm. “We always saw ‘Star Wars: Visions' as a framework for celebratory expressions of the franchise from some of the best creators working today. Animation is in a global renaissance, and we're constantly staggered by the amount of creativity pushing the medium forward. With Volume 1, the imaginative minds of Japan's anime industry were on full display. With Volume 2, we expanded our canvas to take audiences on a global tour of some of the most talented creators from around the world. We're so proud to be able to reveal the line-up of studios we've assembled. Every short is incredible, full of heart, scope, imagination, and the values that make stories distinctly ‘Star Wars' — all while opening up bold new ways of seeing what a ‘Star Wars' story can be."The SSWNetwork brings content to #StarWars Fans of all ages and generations. Hey everybody! Matthew here. Rizzle and I had the chance to speak with James Waugh recently. James is the "lead" organizer of the RareAF (Rare Art Festival). Lead is in air quotes because, as anyone familiar with RareAF knows, the whole venture is organized around an ethos of decentralization. Nevertheless, James has been leading the charge in organizing the virtual version of RareAF, which is set to take place next week from May 14~17 in the NFT-based VR world known as Cryptovoxels. James talked about the origins of RareAF, some of the fantastic events, and 50+ speakers on deck, plus all the fun challenges associated with shifting an irl event into a virtual setting.

Feb. 2, 2018, Can Blockchain Technology Solve Copyright Attribution Challenges of Digital Work? by Dr. Hadar Mazor, on IPWatchdog.com Practical blockchain purposes to solve copyright attribution problems: Efforts are being invested in leveraging blockchain technology to resolve challenges associated with copyright attribution to provide acknowledgment of copyright of a digital work of art to its holder or author. Problem: A digital work of art primarily exists in the form of intangible artifact and the digital work of art may not fit the form of the high-stakes international art market, which continues to rely on unique, original, tangible objects. Since a digital work of art does not yield artifacts that can be easily owned and traded in a conventional sense, their value may not be appropriately estimated. Copyright and other intellectual property tools are frequently employed to countervail this problem but with little success. Difficulty with this model: "Nonetheless, decentralized blockchain data storing technology relies on the trust of the group." She looks at a product called "NKOR" which "aims at utilizing a decentralized, cryptographically secure database blockchain-based technology, to document the recordation, reproduction, distribution and trade of digital works of art." http://www.ipwatchdog.com/2018/02/02/blockchain-technology-solve-copyright-attribution-digital-work/id=93161/ http://nkor.io 4.
