We're back this week to discuss crime thrillers and immediately devolve into shouting about bad cops, worse vibes, and dudes who absolutely should not be mentors. We kick things off with Taking Lives (2004), directed by D.J. Caruso, a movie that asks: What if a serial killer's whole thing was identity theft… but make it sexy and deeply confusing?Angelina Jolie shows up doing FBI profiler business while Ethan Hawke exists in a constant state of “this man is lying with his face.” We spiral into debates about:Serial killers who commit WAY too hard to the bit How fingerprints apparently work however the plot wants The early-2000s belief that psychology is basically magic Why everyone in this movie looks like they need a shower and a therapist We lovingly roast Taking Lives for being slick, grimy, and wildly convinced it's smarter than it is — which honestly just makes it more fun. Then we sprint headfirst into Training Day (2001), directed by Antoine Fuqua, aka “What if your first day at work ruined your entire belief system?” Denzel Washington delivers a performance so powerful it permanently altered the laws of acting, playing a corrupt cop who spends 24 hours psychologically waterboarding Ethan Hawke (again!) while yelling philosophy at him.We lose our minds over:Denzel's unmatched villain charisma Lines that feel like they were carved into stone tablets Sweat acting (elite tier) How this movie feels like a nightmare if your sleep demon is authority At some point the episode fully derails into:Ranking fictional worst first days on the job Debating whether Training Day counts as horror (it does, emotionally)Screaming about early-2000s thrillers having zero chill Realizing Ethan Hawke has spent his entire career being spiritually bullied By the end, we agree that Taking Lives is a beautifully messy serial killer puzzle box, Training Day is a masterclass in controlled chaos, and both films pair perfectly if you enjoy paranoia, betrayal, and yelling “WHY WOULD YOU TRUST HIM??” at your screen.CREEP-O-RAMA is: Store: CREEP-O-RAMAYouTube: @creep-o-ramaJosh: @joshblevesqueArtwork: @bargainbinblasphemyTheme: @imfigureAudio: @stranjlove

Others feel like you're carrying a lot of “what now?” questions around with you, especially if you're coming out of a traditional career and wondering what's next. You might be craving more flexibility, more creativity, and work that actually fits your life, but the idea of starting or growing a VA or OBM business feels big, messy, and a little unknown. If you're somewhere in that in-between space, this conversation will help you feel less alone and a lot more grounded about what's possible. In this episode, Adrienne Donnelly chats with Hannah Caruso, the creative behind Virtually Hannah and a solutions-driven virtual assistant who moved from the legal world into flexible, values-led virtual support. Hannah shares how she went from “wizard of the legal realm” to small-but-mighty business owner, what surprised her most about running her own business, and how she's learning to slow the noise, back herself, and build something that feels like her. You'll hear about:

Quel dolore, quel fallimento, appartengono a tutti noi.

It's rhythmic movement with serious benefits: supporting your lymphatic system, improving circulation, reducing stress, and activating your body's natural detox pathways. Frizz doesn't need to flatten your personality. Andrew Caruso from Pure Brazilian joins us to rethink what “Brazilian” means today, breaking down the difference between smoothing and straightening, how modern formulas protect curls and coils, and why a clean, low-odor service changes everything for clients and teams. If you've been wary of fumes, downtime, or harsh grow-out lines, this conversation gives you a fresh, practical playbook. We dig into the science in plain terms: where an ingredient sits on the label signals potency, how hydrolyzed keratin works alongside superfoods like cocoa seed butter and açaí, and why you can reduce frizz, boost shine, and speed up blow-dry time without sacrificing texture. Andrew shares what salons really want to know—how to grow revenue now. The Express Blowout slots into services you already do, adds four to eight shampoos of smooth hair, and creates a natural path to the full 90-minute treatment that lasts three to four months. No ponytail bans, no multi-day restrictions, and a client experience that feels lighter, cleaner, and repeatable. We also talk pricing and positioning so you charge confidently for 90 minutes of high-value work, whether your market tops at $250 or supports $600. With fewer visits and tighter schedules, smoothing becomes a strategic lever: better average ticket, faster appointments, and stronger rebooking built on results rather than obligation. Round it out with retail that shares the same hydrolyzed keratin DNA to maintain results between visits, plus simple messaging—texture management, frizz control, reduced blow-dry time—that clients immediately understand.Ready to keep the curls and lose the chaos? Hit play, then subscribe, share with a stylist friend, and leave a quick review so more pros can discover smarter, safer smoothing. To learn more about how Strategies can help you create more profit, fun, and growth potential for you, your business, and your team, schedule a free 60-minute strategy session: Strategies: https://www.strategies.comSalon/Spa Business Coaching: https://strategies.com/memberships/In-Person Salon/Spa Seminars: https://strategies.com/educationPodcast: https://strategies.com/podcast/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/strategiesteam Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/strategiesOnline Education Portal: https://learning.strategies.com/The Beauty Business Strategies Podcast is designed to give salon, spa, medspa, barbershop, and lash studio owners, just like you, quick tips to make more money, inspire your team, and create world-class client experiences.

This week, the dads descend into King of New York, the neon-slick crime drama that turns Manhattan into a fever dream of violence, power, and warped justice.Walken plays Frank White, a freshly released drug lord who wants to “give back” — but only by murdering every rival and funding a hospital with blood money. His crew? Mostly Black. His moral compass? Bent beyond repair. His dance moves? Still pure Walken. What we coverCrime and capitalism: Frank's twisted logic — kill the competition, save the city. The Walken mystique: Dead eyes, slick hair, spontaneous robot dances.Larry Fishburne's “Jimmy Jump”: One of the great chaotic sidekicks — all swagger, coke, and AK-47s.Cops vs crooks: Caruso and Snipes as furious detectives who decide to skip due process and go full vigilante.Ferrara's vision: A New York that's nihilistic, sweaty, and corrupt from top to bottom. The politics of power: Race, class, loyalty, and the delusion of doing “good” through evil. The ending: Blood, subways, and one of Walken's best death scenes — calm, eerie, inevitable. Why listen?Because it's peak Bad Dads territory: a film that's stylish, sleazy, and morally bankrupt, yet impossible to look away from. We argue about whether Frank's warped Robin Hood act has any truth to it, trade notes on 1990s cop-movie chaos, and try to work out how this didn't end every actor's career.
Dr. Geo and Dr. Robert Caruso dive deep into what really causes urinary symptoms in men—and why prostate size alone doesn't tell the full story. Dr. Caruso shares how his “blue zone” Italian upbringing, his 98-year-old mother, and even a family story involving a bear shaped his holistic view of urology, where diet, movement, spine health, constipation, and sleep apnea all matter. From there, they walk through medications (alpha-blockers, 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors, daily tadalafil) and when each actually makes sense, including surprising cardiovascular and nocturia benefits of PDE5 inhibitors. The conversation then shifts to procedures: bipolar TURP vs classic TURP, and in-office options like UroLift, Rezūm steam therapy, and the newer iTind device—who they're for, how they're done, and what to expect for recovery, ejaculation, and long-term results. By the end, you'll know what questions to bring to your urologist, how to think beyond “just the prostate,” and when vapor therapy or other minimally invasive treatments may be the right next step for your BPH.Time-Stamped Highlights00:00 – Why surgery isn't the only answer for BPH-Dr. Geo introduces Dr. Caruso and frames the episode around minimally invasive, real-world solutions for urinary symptoms.05:00 – Blue-zone lifestyle, Italian roots, and holistic urology-Dr. Caruso's upbringing, his 98-year-old mother, and how growing food, movement, and nature shape his approach to men's health.15:00 – It's not “just the prostate”: spine, sleep, and metabolism-How back and neck issues, constipation, diabetes, and sleep apnea can drive frequency and nocturia just as much as gland size.25:00 – Meds that do more: tadalafil, alpha-blockers, and 5-ARIs-When daily tadalafil can help erections, BPH, and nocturia; who might benefit from alpha-blockers or finasteride/dutasteride—and who probably shouldn't.35:00 – From TURP to in-office options: choosing the right procedure-Bipolar TURP for large prostates and median lobes vs. office-based UroLift, Rezūm steam therapy, and iTind—what they are, how long they last, and what to ask your urologist about ejaculation, catheters, and recovery.________________________

Adam and Dr. Drew kick things off by weighing the beauty of California against its increasingly dysfunctional governance. Dr. Drew asks how Rick Caruso foresaw the need to hire a private fire department just days before the Southern California wildfires hit, leading Adam to compare Caruso's foresight with Mayor Karen Bass's lackluster response. The conversation turns to an old LA Times article about how Dr. Drew was considered for the city's homeless commission, sparking backlash from the political left.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
