Er Fallout 76 blevet et godt spil? Hør vores vurdering her! Fallout er en af Bethesda Softworks' absolut største og mest populære franchises. Selvom Bethesda ikke skabte Fallout, er det klart, at de har formet Fallout til det, det er i dag. Det første Fallout-spil udkom tilbage i 1997 og var en åndelig efterfølger til RPG-spillet Wasteland fra 1988. I 2004 fik Bethesda Softworks licensen til at lave et Fallout-spil, og i 2007, året før deres Fallout 3-spil udkom, købte Bethesda Fallout IP'en, og franchisen blev dermed deres. Det var nok en ret god timing. Siden da har de blandt andet skabt de anmelderroste Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas og Fallout 4. Alle blev store succeser, og intet virkede til at kunne gå galt for Bethesdas chef, Todd Howard, og Fallout. Men i 2018 annoncerede og udgav Bethesda Fallout 76. Et spil, der afveg fra de traditionelle Fallout-spil, da det også var en online multiplayer-oplevelse skabt i Bethesdas forældede Creation Engine. Fallout 76 var mildt sagt en katastrofe. Det fik forfærdelige anmeldelser og blev en stor plet på Bethesdas ellers gode ry. Til Bethesdas ros holdt de dog fast. De fortsatte med at pleje og forbedre spillet samt udvikle indhold til titlen. I 2020 begyndte spillets lille renæssance. Her udkom Wastelanders-opdateringen, som tilføjede NPC'er til verdenen – noget der manglede ved udgivelsen. Spillet begyndte faktisk at minde mere om et almindeligt Fallout-spil. Men den helt store renæssance skete i år, da Fallout tv-serien blev udgivet. Denne serie fik folk til at længes efter mere af universet, og Fallout 76's spillertal slog den ene rekord efter den anden. Spørgsmålet er nu, om Bethesda har forbedret spillet nok til, at det er værd at bruge tid på. Er Fallout 76 faktisk blevet et godt spil? Alt det, og meget mere, skal vi finde ud af nu. Matt doesn't love Bethesda gameplay in general but Bethesda Fallout games hold a special place in his heart as examples of mediocre at best gameplay. But the Fallout Tv series just recently inspired a massive amount of people to play the games... So the Fallout story must be pretty good... But does that make up for poor gameplay?
