We recorded this episode from the sweltering driveway at the shore. Erin vents about a frustrating Uber Eats delay that left her coffeeless. We have a special guest...Bucky, snoring beside us. Erin becomes a spay and recount a local parking dispute that spiraled into yelling and a police visit. Erin shares updates on her summer fitness journey, including an unexpected push-up challenge. We dive into local gossip about sky high lot prices and dock disputes, plus broader topics like the recent Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez wedding in Venice, Italy, which we heard cost between $50 million and drew A listers like Oprah, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Tom Brady, though it sparked protests from locals over its extravagance. We also touch on Olympic running debates, like a potential Tyreek Hill versus Noah Lyles race and a swimmer's inspiring story from the 2000 Olympics. We discuss odd findings, like more microplastics in glass bottles than plastic ones and ghost kitchens hiding behind fancy names on delivery apps. Steve from Blue's Clues is starting a new podcast for adults. Erin reads a Benjamin Franklin book to her six year old at bedtime.

The highly anticipated "society wedding of the year" between Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster, and Olivia Henson took place Friday at Chester Cathedral in England. Despite windy conditions, hundreds gathered to catch a glimpse of the 33-year-old duke, the new 31-year-old duchess, and Prince William who served as an usher.Henson arrived in a vintage Bentley wearing a silk dress with a 6.5-foot train designed by Emma Victoria Payne, along with the famous Faberge Myrtle Leaf Tiara worn by Grosvenor brides since 1906. The crowd gasped as Olivia Henson's veil blew in the wind outside Chester Cathedral beforethe ceremony. There appeared to be "a slight struggle to get Ms Henson's dress and veil - designed by Emma Victoria Payne - under control." However, the bride-to-be eventually made her way into the church. Her dress featured "a sweet nod to her family - an embroidery design which incorporated floral motifs and edgings from Ms Henson's great-great-grandmother's veil from around 1880." She also wore "a pair of blue shoes" and the famous "Faberge Myrtle Leaf Tiara made for Grosvenor brides to wear on their wedding day, which has been in the family since 1906."Her bouquet contained "flowers picked from the gardens of the duke's family home, Eaton Hall."The dean who officiated the Anglican service noted in the program: "It remains our solemn duty to continue to honour the outstanding gallantry, service and sacrifice" of the duke's ancestors. After the ceremony, the newlyweds shared their first public kiss before celebrating with 400 guests at the Grosvenor family's historic Eaton Hall estate in Cheshire. The King did not attend, ostensibly for health reasons, although some suspect a message was being sent in response to reports that Camilla was poorly treated when attending the 2004 wedding of the Duke's sister, Lady Tamara Grosvenor, before her marriage to Charles. The Mirror reminds us that at that wedding, the late Queen Elizabeth was invited, as was the then Prince Charles and Camilla, although it was before the pair married. It was reported that Camilla's invitation came with the stipulation she could not sit next to Charles or arrive with him, due to the late Queen and Prince Philip also attending.According to a source to the Mirror :"Their Majesties have not forgotten what happened at the wedding of Hugh's sister. There is still a lot of tension that exists."Unlock an ad-free podcast experience with Caloroga Shark Media! Get all our shows on any player you love, hassle free! In today's episode we're chatting with Ben Barnes. This British actor (and skilled musician) has charmed audiences as the heroic prince in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and surprised them as the enigmatic Logan Delos in HBO's science fiction thriller Westworld. His love for storytelling began early: on stage performing with the National Youth Music Theatre. Since then his career has told the story of an artist who possesses true grit, a love for craft, and a desire to explore whatever he hasn't done. He shares how blind persistence landed him his first agent, and how a secret injury helped him create one of his most recognizable roles. For Ben, perspective and perseverance is key. Moving through the peaks and valleys of this industry requires trusting what you have to offer and choosing to be empowered regardless of circumstance. And that's exactly what Ben continues to do. His work includes an array of diverse film and TV credits such as Easy Virtue, By The Gun, Seventh Son, Big Wedding, Sons of Liberty, The Punisher, Gold Digger and a lead role on Netflix's soon to be series Shadow and Bone. Often, creators might get angry and resentful because they feel no one is watching or listening despite the love, time, and effort they put into their craft. Ironically, forgetting about the numbers and focusing on being authentic and sharing their story will make people connect with them, with their content, and grow an organic and genuine audience. In this episode, the amazing Patricia Rae joins us to talk about her experience finding a safe space to let her true self out, Hollywood's actors strike, pushing herself out of her comfort zone and starting a podcast, and more. Patricia is a professional actress and producer with over 35 years of experience. She is mainly known for her role in "Mary Full of Grace," "The Big Wedding," with Robert DeNiro, Robin Williams, Diane Keaton, and Susan Sarandon, and her role as Judge Delgado in the TV Series, "All Rise." The daughter of Colombian immigrants, Patricia was born and raised in New York in the '60s, a melting pot where diverse and contrasting cultures surrounded her. That particular upbringing forged her as an outspoken activist for racial and gender equality, committed to making Latinos visible in a positive light in movies and TV. Throughout our conversation, you'll hear about Patricia's upbringing, her thoughts on the actors' strike, streaming services and residual payments, and some producers' intent to use AI to replace writers and actors. Patricia also talks about "Believe This," the podcast she co-hosts alongside Chris Crimm, her battle for a safe space to express herself authentically, and much more.Tune in to Episode 152 of Amiga, Handle Your Shit, and learn more about this extraordinary and inspiring badass Latina. In This Episode, You Will Learn:A bit about Patricia's background (6:20)Why Patricia decided to build a space to deal with hot topics and debate them (11:10)How "Believe This" was born (19:00)Patricia's truth about the actors' strike in Hollywood (21:30)Patricia talks about streaming platforms, residual income, and AI (32:20)How Patricia found her authentic voice and forgot about everything else (38:40)Connect with Patricia:IMDbInstagramTwitterListen to the Believe This podcast!Let's Connect!WebsiteFacebookInstagramLinkedInJackie Tapia Arbonne website Hosted on Acast. We are back with another episode of Viall Files: Ask Nick Edition! We welcome on our callers to give them advice about their relationships and situationships! Our first caller deals with dating after moving to a new state, finding it hard to connect and progress the dates she's been going on. After finding a guy she has genuine interest in, she wonders if she should put herself out there and shoot her shot, while also learning to take things slow as she recently moved and has a lot of settling in to do. Our next caller struggles when a guy she can't get over really might not be as great as she makes him out to be. Now she must learn to hold more respect for herself as the good traits this guy holds are traits she could find with anyone. Our last caller deals with conflict when her current boyfriend wants to have a massive wedding, while she is more than happy to go to the courthouse.
