The highly anticipated "society wedding of the year" between Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster, and Olivia Henson took place Friday at Chester Cathedral in England. Despite windy conditions, hundreds gathered to catch a glimpse of the 33-year-old duke, the new 31-year-old duchess, and Prince William who served as an usher.Henson arrived in a vintage Bentley wearing a silk dress with a 6.5-foot train designed by Emma Victoria Payne, along with the famous Faberge Myrtle Leaf Tiara worn by Grosvenor brides since 1906. The crowd gasped as Olivia Henson's veil blew in the wind outside Chester Cathedral beforethe ceremony. There appeared to be "a slight struggle to get Ms Henson's dress and veil - designed by Emma Victoria Payne - under control." However, the bride-to-be eventually made her way into the church. Her dress featured "a sweet nod to her family - an embroidery design which incorporated floral motifs and edgings from Ms Henson's great-great-grandmother's veil from around 1880." She also wore "a pair of blue shoes" and the famous "Faberge Myrtle Leaf Tiara made for Grosvenor brides to wear on their wedding day, which has been in the family since 1906."Her bouquet contained "flowers picked from the gardens of the duke's family home, Eaton Hall."The dean who officiated the Anglican service noted in the program: "It remains our solemn duty to continue to honour the outstanding gallantry, service and sacrifice" of the duke's ancestors. After the ceremony, the newlyweds shared their first public kiss before celebrating with 400 guests at the Grosvenor family's historic Eaton Hall estate in Cheshire. The King did not attend, ostensibly for health reasons, although some suspect a message was being sent in response to reports that Camilla was poorly treated when attending the 2004 wedding of the Duke's sister, Lady Tamara Grosvenor, before her marriage to Charles. The Mirror reminds us that at that wedding, the late Queen Elizabeth was invited, as was the then Prince Charles and Camilla, although it was before the pair married. It was reported that Camilla's invitation came with the stipulation she could not sit next to Charles or arrive with him, due to the late Queen and Prince Philip also attending.According to a source to the Mirror :"Their Majesties have not forgotten what happened at the wedding of Hugh's sister. There is still a lot of tension that exists."Unlock an ad-free podcast experience with Caloroga Shark Media! Get all our shows on any player you love, hassle free! In today's episode we're chatting with Ben Barnes. This British actor (and skilled musician) has charmed audiences as the heroic prince in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and surprised them as the enigmatic Logan Delos in HBO's science fiction thriller Westworld. His love for storytelling began early: on stage performing with the National Youth Music Theatre. Since then his career has told the story of an artist who possesses true grit, a love for craft, and a desire to explore whatever he hasn't done. He shares how blind persistence landed him his first agent, and how a secret injury helped him create one of his most recognizable roles. For Ben, perspective and perseverance is key. Moving through the peaks and valleys of this industry requires trusting what you have to offer and choosing to be empowered regardless of circumstance. And that's exactly what Ben continues to do. His work includes an array of diverse film and TV credits such as Easy Virtue, By The Gun, Seventh Son, Big Wedding, Sons of Liberty, The Punisher, Gold Digger and a lead role on Netflix's soon to be series Shadow and Bone. Often, creators might get angry and resentful because they feel no one is watching or listening despite the love, time, and effort they put into their craft. Ironically, forgetting about the numbers and focusing on being authentic and sharing their story will make people connect with them, with their content, and grow an organic and genuine audience. In this episode, the amazing Patricia Rae joins us to talk about her experience finding a safe space to let her true self out, Hollywood's actors strike, pushing herself out of her comfort zone and starting a podcast, and more. Patricia is a professional actress and producer with over 35 years of experience. She is mainly known for her role in "Mary Full of Grace," "The Big Wedding," with Robert DeNiro, Robin Williams, Diane Keaton, and Susan Sarandon, and her role as Judge Delgado in the TV Series, "All Rise." The daughter of Colombian immigrants, Patricia was born and raised in New York in the '60s, a melting pot where diverse and contrasting cultures surrounded her. That particular upbringing forged her as an outspoken activist for racial and gender equality, committed to making Latinos visible in a positive light in movies and TV. Throughout our conversation, you'll hear about Patricia's upbringing, her thoughts on the actors' strike, streaming services and residual payments, and some producers' intent to use AI to replace writers and actors. Patricia also talks about "Believe This," the podcast she co-hosts alongside Chris Crimm, her battle for a safe space to express herself authentically, and much more.Tune in to Episode 152 of Amiga, Handle Your Shit, and learn more about this extraordinary and inspiring badass Latina. In This Episode, You Will Learn:A bit about Patricia's background (6:20)Why Patricia decided to build a space to deal with hot topics and debate them (11:10)How "Believe This" was born (19:00)Patricia's truth about the actors' strike in Hollywood (21:30)Patricia talks about streaming platforms, residual income, and AI (32:20)How Patricia found her authentic voice and forgot about everything else (38:40)Connect with Patricia:IMDbInstagramTwitterListen to the Believe This podcast!Let's Connect!WebsiteFacebookInstagramLinkedInJackie Tapia Arbonne website Hosted on Acast. What a busy weekend for Dr. Kristine of Kristine Smith Designs. She had the biggest wedding floral sets so far. With help of her team she was able to get this amazing wedding done. Best friend Kira flew into town this week to help out with the weekends events. Kris took the boys to a new Halloween Store that just opened up. They looked around at all the new costumes for both adults and kids. Then we had our guest Theresa Nast stop by. My name is Theresa Nast and I'm the founder and designer of West Rock Apparel Co., a children's wear brand, a mom to 5 wild ones, and someone with a great deal of experience with postpartum mental health struggles. I hope by sharing my story I'm able to help someone else feel a little less alone in their journey. My brand, West Rock Apparel Co., is a collection of baby and children's clothing for families who appreciate natural fibers and neutral designs, sustainability and ethically produced goods. For families who want to know where their clothing comes from, where it was made and who made it. I am creating a brand who will give back to the new mothers and babies in our community. And I just can't wait to get started. Maternal mental healthcare is something that is near and dear to me. It is so widely stigmatized and many new mothers try to navigate postpartum depression and or postpartum anxiety alone, for many different reasons. Aside from ethical clothing manufacturing and highlighting sustainable fabrics, one of my goals through West Rock Apparel Co is to give back to the new parents in my community struggling in their new role. These mamas and babies deserve to know they are seen and heard and loved. https://westrockapparel.com/ https://www.facebook.com/westrockapparelco https://www.instagram.com/westrockapparelco/ ***** The Kris and Kristine Show ***** http://www.krisandkristineshow.com https://www.kristinesmithdesigns.com K2 RADIO: https://live365.com/station/K2-RADIO-a04551 Email: krisandkristinepodcast@gmail.com Voice Mail: https://www.speakpipe.com/KrisandKristineShow Twitter: https://twitter.com/k2showsandiego Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thek2showsandiego/?hl=en Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/k2showsandiego Patreon: www.patreon.com/thekrisandkristineshow
Podcast dad and host of The Darkened Hour Adam Fitzgerald is back with the boys on the eve of 21 years since The Big Wedding. We are talking about the life and times of FBI agent John O'Neill, who more than anyone wanted to stop 9/11 from happening but the world (and quite possibly fate) had other ideas. Listen to us talk about someone you should be hearing a lot more about this time of year. It's Adam so naturally we talk about a million other things from speculating about TWA800, give more really good ass movie picks and also ask if this is all actually Iran's fault after all (classic no one knows the difference between Shia and Sunni). I also totally forgot to mention on the show but the Queen wound up dying on Lyndon LaRouche's birthday, lmao. We are back with another episode of Viall Files: Ask Nick Edition! We welcome on our callers to give them advice about their relationships and situationships! Our first caller deals with dating after moving to a new state, finding it hard to connect and progress the dates she's been going on. After finding a guy she has genuine interest in, she wonders if she should put herself out there and shoot her shot, while also learning to take things slow as she recently moved and has a lot of settling in to do. Our next caller struggles when a guy she can't get over really might not be as great as she makes him out to be. Now she must learn to hold more respect for herself as the good traits this guy holds are traits she could find with anyone. Our last caller deals with conflict when her current boyfriend wants to have a massive wedding, while she is more than happy to go to the courthouse. With this conflict in mind, we ask our caller if the reasons for her preferences might be from a deeper cause. “We all have to shift through dirt to find gold” Please make sure to subscribe so you don't miss an episode and as always send in your relationship questions to asknick@kastmedia.com to be a part of our Monday episodes. Mon dieu! We are celebrating! And as a result, we are flipping the script. Mark ALLEN Groleau of Unboring Officiant interviews us, Michelle and Christy, as we talk about how we met, what brought us together, and all about the interactive new Wedding Planning Master Class we've created for you. It's HERE! That's right, after a full year of blood, sweat and tears, The Big Wedding Planning Master Class is LIVE! We have put our "all" into this digital course and we are sharing why THIS DIGITAL COURSE IS GOING TO CHANGE YOUR WEDDING PLANNING LIFE AND THE WEDDING PLANNING INDUSTRY! Click HERE to become a premium subscriber and unlock all of the amazingness: Ad-free, full length episodes The TBWPP Wedding Planning Resource Center with Access to 6 mini courses of The Big Wedding Planning Master Class Wedding Planning Templates and Tools Big Takeaways When putting together the idea of both the podcast, and The Big Wedding Planning Master Class, Michelle and Christy realized there was a need for more accessible information about how to plan a wedding. We have interacted with thousands of listeners, planning their weddings, who do not have the luxury of hiring a wedding planner. So much of wedding planning is administrative work, the class felt like a natural extension to the free content we are already giving with the podcast. Chapter 1: Foundation, priorities, budget, guest list, planning time line, design Chapter 2: Hiring your team, finding your venue(s), transportation, hotel room blocks, the Mid-planning checklist Chapter 3: EVERYTHING included in Month-of coordination. Also a great asset to those couples who have a Coordinator included with their venue! We had a live audience on this recording and here are there questions & our answers: What's the best package for me, if I already have all my vendors, but I want to organize myself? Chapter 3 is where to focus! There are three chapters all together. Does this Master Class address pandemic weddings or the need to quickly pivot weddings? We mention the pandemic here and there. But there is nothing specifically aimed at that. It is structured to help you feel in control in case you need to pivot or make changes quickly. We are celbrating! Big Takeaways When putting together the idea of both the podcast, and The Big Wedding Planning Master Class, Michelle and Christy realized there was a need for more accessible information about how to plan a wedding. We have interacted with thousands of listners, planning their weddings, who do not have the luxury of hiring a wedding planner. We had a live audiene on this recording and here are there questions & our answers: What's the best package for me, if I already have all my vendors, but I want to organize myself? - Chapter 3 is where to focus! There are three chapters all together. Does this Master Class address pandemic weddings or the need to quickly pivot weddings? - We mention the pandemic here and there. But there is nothing specifically aimed at that. It is structured to help you feel in control in case you need to pivot or make changes quickly. Once you have purchased the class, we are available through the comments section in case you need that resource later on. What can we expect when we get the package? - It is majority instructional. The videos are lecture style, and then we use a screen share to show how to use the templates where you can follow along. And maybe we could get them to tell us what they want to hear.” - Michelle “I'll tell you, as a wedding planner, I am going to do just as much work for a small guest count as I would with a guest count of 300... And that's because the basic fundamentals, the foundation of creating your wedding are all the same.” - Michelle The Big Wedding Planning Podcast is... * Hosted and produced by Christy Matthews and Michelle Martinez. * Edited by Veronica Gruba. * Music by Steph Altman of Mophonics. * On Instagram @thebigweddingplanningpodcast and be sure to use #planthatwedding when posting, so you can get our attention! * Inviting you to become part of our Facebook Group! De bonus, Jon Pardi haciendo a Merle Haggard!- The Texicana Mamas, Mi Patria- Western Terrestrials, Who's Gonna Fill These Boots? - Old 97's, Bottle Rocket Baby - The Georgia Thunderbolts, Lend A Hand - Jeannie Seely & Willie Nelson, Not A Dry Eye In The House - Andrea & Mud, Send Your Love My Way- Seasongs, Canción de Virus- Seasongs, I'm on an island- Andi Rae Healy, Come Get Me- Andi Rae Healy, Last Time I Checked this was a Free World and I Wasn't Anybody's Girl- Shirley King "Hoodoo Man Blues" feat. Junior Wells & Joe Louis Walker- Shirley King "I Did You Wrong" feat. Elvin Bishop- Steve Baskin, Big Wedding, Small Divorce - Jim Bachman, Waiting On A train- Jim Bachman (w Dallas Moore), Live Forever- Jon Pardi, The Bottle Let Me Down

You remember the dress, right? In case you don't: Three years ago, a poorly-lit photograph of a dress pretty much tore the internet to pieces. Some people saw a black-and-blue dress; some people saw a white-and-gold dress. The black-and-blue-dress people couldn't understand how the white-and-gold-dress people were living their lives; the white-and-gold-dress people called the black-and-blue-dress people "fake news" (no they didn't).Well, this week there's a new the dress. Except it's a the dress for your ears, not your eyes. It's an audio file. Some people hear the word "laurel." Some people hear the non-word "yanny." And the dispute over which word is right and which word is wrong is very important (no it isn't).Support the show: http://www.wnpr.org/donateSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

BULLSHIT-- It's not bullshit, I read it in an article. The following podcast is the true story of two different loosely based true stories told by two storytellers in two different ways but both inspired by one real life event. Probably. David and Jeremy analyze the evolution of the film "American Hustle" by David O. Russel from the acclaimed Blacklisted script "American Bullshit" by screenwriter Eric Warren Singer. How does Singer employ and innovate the conventions of the Heist/Con Artist film genre? What were the positive effects of David O. Russel re-working all the major relationships from the original script? What were the effects of leaving out so much of the original dialog? And what does every heist film need at the end of the story? THEN-- our dynamic duo of lady script doctors analyze the biggest flops of 2013. Denise and Talaiya run down the checklist of screenwriter mistakes you'll want to avoid to keep your script ending up like "The Big Wedding", "Trance", and "Paranoia," our biggest misses of the year. LISTEN to THE SCRIPT: Episode 9 here on iTUNES. - Read the original script here : "American Bullshit" by Eric Warren Singer. - Fan mail, comments, questions, wedding proposals and proclamations can be sent to ScriptFeed@gmail.com - Technical Note: Apologies for some audio issues on this recording, we'll do better next time. In this week's Movie Date podcast, Rafer and Kristen talk about why we should all aspire to the motto, "do be a doer," as opposed to "don't be a don'ter." They also discuss middle-aged sex, wedding hook-ups, and Chef Boyardee. Special guest Cate Contino Cowit gives her insights as well. It's all in honor of the new action-crime-comedy, "Pain and Gain" starring Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and Anthony Mackie; and the romantic comedy, "The Big Wedding," starring Robert De Niro, Susan Sarandon, Diane Keaton, Amanda Seyfried, Robin Williams, and Topher Grace.
