This week is incredibly special. My wife Melanie and I are celebrating 25 years of marriage. WOW! Twenty-five years since February 17, 2001… and 28 years since I first walked into that graduate teaching assistant meeting at San Diego State University and saw the most beautiful blonde woman with the brightest smile in the room. Little did I know…that woman would become my wife. In this episode, we take you live to Whitefish, Montana, from our Annual Retreat, where Kelli Watson interviews Melanie and me on stage about marriage, faith, parenting, business, hard seasons, deep loss, big dreams, and what it really takes to stay committed for the long haul. I'd like to share part of that interview with you as we received great feedback on it. This one is vulnerable. We talk about the wins, some losses, some wounds, and even some of the arguments. Haha. We talk about relationships, growth, the kids, the calling, and how love looks different 25 years later. If you're married, want to be married, leading a family, building a business, or walking through a tough season—this episode is for you. Check it out… What You'll Learn in This Episode: How our definition of love evolved from "what can I get?" to "how can I serve?" The best marriage advice we ever received. How to navigate tough seasons with a short memory and thick skin. What raising three athletes taught us about teamwork at home. How faith became the foundation that carried us through tragedy. Why second chances and redemption stories matter so deeply to us. The power of walks, car rides, and intentional conversation in staying connected. How to balance personal ambition with shared family goals. What it means to "divide and conquer" in certain seasons of life. Why your spouse's spirit matters more over time than physical attraction. The conversations that shaped us as young parents—and the ones shaping us now. What legacy truly means and how we want to be remembered. What do the next 25-years look like?! Haha. Here are Some of the Interview Questions from Kelli Watson: Todd & Melanie Durkin – 25 Years of Marriage Looking back on 25 years together, what's one thing that has surprised you most about marriage? Every couple goes through seasons—busy, calm, and sometimes stormy. What practices or habits have helped you stay connected through the different seasons of life? You've both supported each other through major career milestones and raising a family. How have you balanced personal dreams with shared goals? What does partnership mean to you now, compared to when you first got married? How do you handle disagreements or tough conversations? Over the years, what small, consistent actions have had the biggest impact on keeping your relationship strong? You've both spoken about faith and purpose. How has your faith influenced your marriage and the way you lead as a couple? If your younger selves could sit in the audience today, what advice would you give them about love, communication, and commitment? How has your definition of love changed from year one to year twenty-five? And finally, what's next for the two of you--as a couple, as parents, and as partners in life and impact? We've done a lot in 25-years. We walked through tragedy. We've built businesses. We've raisedthree incredible kids. We've sold a company. We're launching another. We've grown in faith. We've wrestled through conflict. And we've learned that love deepens when you serve, not when you keep score. I have fallen more in love with Melanie's spirit today than I did even 25 years ago. Her faith. Her discipline. Her heart for serving others through the Durkin Impact Foundation. Her mothering our 3-kids. I'm more convinced than ever that when your marriage is rooted in faith, purpose, love, and understanding, and good communication, it can weather anything. If this episode touched you, challenged you, or encouraged you—please like it, share it, and follow the show. Send it to someone who needs hope in their marriage or encouragement in their family. Gemma returns four years after being our very first guest, and so much has changed. With Joel and Brayden, they explore her journey from anxious early twenties to finding contentment and joy. When Gemma first appeared in 2020, she was living at home during COVID, working casually, and navigating youth ministry. Now she's married, teaching full-time, and stepped away from youth leadership to join Late Night. But the real transformation is internal.Gemma shares about deleting social media from her phone and discovering she's happier without it. She reflects on resilience, not as being fazed by hard things, but as depending on God through difficulty. The conversation covers modelling healthy phone habits for students, the heartbreak of identity shifts when leaving youth ministry, and learning to find joy in seasons rather than rushing to the next milestone. They also discuss teaching at a Christian school, trusting God through changes, contentment versus happiness, and fixing our eyes on Jesus when life is good and when it's not.

Happy Holidays to all! ✨and thank you for waiting for us. We've just returned from a three month European‑style sabbatical. We feel rested, restored, and just smug enough to pretend this was all part of a carefully executed life plan. In truth, our “surprise” 50th Wedding Anniversary trip to Vienna, Austria was launched by Beauty & The Beast, a bathroom faucet, and Billy Joel. One stormy afternoon while playing Five Crowns, Billy Joel crooned Vienna through the Bose. Carmen tenderly took my hand and flashed "the look" – eyebrow arched, sideways smile, the one that makes me wonder if she's Elvis' secret love child. This look has ended arguments, redirected life plans, and once caused me to apologize for something I hadn't done yet. She said... "No more bloody knuckles for you. Let's do something crazy for our 50th wedding anniversary. In early Spring, we'll limp slowly up the coast to Vinnie's. His new place has secure Airstream storage. Then I grab our backpacks and call Uber, while you hand over the keys and that *gosh-darned Fix-It list. Thirty minutes later we're at the Sacramento airport heading toward our plane. Vinnie and Vienna! Whadda ya say?" She'd clearly been rehearsing this. Hey, 50 years of marriage is a big deal. Life has been good to us. We should celebrate. Fifty years together taught us this: love endures, homes evolve, and the right song - or city - can still change everything. The post Vienna Waits For Y’all appeared first on Living In Beauty.

We are celebrating the Rebbe & Rebbetzins 90th Wedding Anniversary! In this Sicha we learn about the Teshuva accomplished by a wedding, based off the wedding of Esav to Yishmae'ls daughter. Like Yom Kippur, a wedding brings Kaparah through either a) the marriage itself b) the wedding inspires the person to do Teshuva or c) the specialness of the Mitzvah/Moment motivates you. The Torah uses Esav's wedding to teach us about Teshuva - Esav is not perfect by any means, but he is a Yid and the wedding sparks our neshamos, all of us - no matter our level. We can use the koach of 14 Kislev to apply this to us in our daily avodah. Marriage between man & woman has a purpose of Peru Urevu. Marriage of Hashem and Yidden has a purpose of Torah, Mitzvos. When you teach someone to do a mitzvah, mekarev another with coming closer to Torah, Mitzvos or Yidden, these are peiros of peru urevu. We live now in disorderly times, the world is crazy - if something comes your way - just grab it! (ie Dorm Food Mentality). "A chassid is like a soccer player, if the ball comes your way, you gotta kick it!" We have to save neshamos! I commit. Hashem kicks in. My commitment = wedding day. This commitment = uplifts, give koach, enables me to be more committed. This brings a cycle of Koach! But I might think: what about me, im not great enough..im really low - your past doesnt matter (Esav)! I make it my business to commit to Hashems work and the Rebbes directives of doing my shlichus, and Hashem will uplift and empower! And this will bring about the complete marriage between Hashem & the Yidden with Moshiach!

Justin Timberlake BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Timberlake has been making headlines this week for both personal milestones and professional setbacks. The singer and his wife Jessica Biel just celebrated their thirteenth wedding anniversary, with Timberlake posting a sweet Instagram story saying "Happy anniversary Jessica Biel. Seems like this was just yesterday" while Biel shared a photo of him near the Eiffel Tower with the caption "I love you." The couple, who married in Italy in October 2012 and share two sons together, have been the subject of renewed media attention after Tyla reported that their prenup allegedly includes a five hundred thousand dollar cheating clause that would pay Biel if Timberlake is unfaithful. Representatives for the couple have not confirmed this arrangement, though entertainment outlets note this type of lifestyle clause has become more common among celebrity couples since their marriage. On the health front, things haven't been as rosy. Timberlake announced on his Instagram Stories that he's canceling his December 2 show in Oklahoma City due to a back injury sustained in New Orleans. According to TBS News, doctors have instructed him to rest longer. In his post, the singer wrote "I'm so sorry Oklahoma City. I hurt my back in New Orleans and my doctors have instructed me to rest a little bit longer. Thank you for your support, y'all know I hate doing this." This marks the third recent cancellation for his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, following an earlier postponed October 8 show and rescheduled performances in late October due to bronchitis and laryngitis. His tour is set to resume December 4 in Houston, with several Midwest dates pushed to February 2025. The tour, which began in April 2024, is scheduled to conclude in Paris in July 2025. Meanwhile, Timberlake was spotted playing golf at Lakeside Country Club in Burbank, California on October 5, suggesting he's taking time to recuperate between tour commitments.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

Lora weaves in real stories—including her own 30th anniversary, healing rituals like bridge crossings, and how she reframed the day with a heart-shaped diamond flamingo ring engraved with FLAUNT—to show you how an anniversary can become a moment of choice, truth, and self-celebration. Top 3 Takeaways: Why anniversaries hurt after betrayal: How ruptured expectations and old coping defaults trigger grief, anger, and overwhelm. Four healthy ways to navigate the day: Skip it, reframe it for yourself, transform it with ritual, or use it as a practical step toward reclaiming your life. Healing tools that work: Boundaries (“I'm not ready to celebrate” is a complete sentence), somatic practices, journaling, and rituals that help you transform despair into empowerment.

I share a few stories and memories that remind me why we chose each other and continue to choose each other every single day.Inside this episode:A personal tribute to my husband on our 13th wedding anniversaryWhat horses, marriage, and parenting have in commonA reminder that we are always becoming — togetherWhy love is more than a feeling, it's a practiceHow we met (yes, literally in a prayer) and how that miracle still unfoldsReflections on blessing, presence, and showing up fully in relationshipIf you're curious about our love story, listen to the full episode on The Miracle of How We Met — it's one of my favorite stories to tell.
