With Luton Town and Burnley both losing earlier in the day, Forest were all but guaranteed of survival heading into the evening match against Chelsea. And with goals from Boly and another beautiful strike from Callum Hudson-Odoi, it looked like Forest would survive in style. However two minutes of madness saw Chelsea turn it around and take all three points from the City Ground. Another good performances returns no points at the City Ground yet again, but who is to blame for the late turnaround from Chelsea. Chris Wood yet again was misfiring in front of goal, and with Awoniyi now back to full fitness, should Taiwo start in the final game of the season next week against Burnley? In this video we will dissect the performance of the team against Chelsea and where this leaves Forest heading into the summer, should Nuno be kept in charge or is the Greek father Marinakis thinking of making another managerial change before the start of next season? Let us know if you agree with our match reaction from the Chelsea defeat, and what you expect in the upcoming match against Burnley next weekend. The African Cup of Nations is officially over, and congratulation to Nottingham Forest players Ibrahim Sangare and Willy Boly, who both claimed victory in the final on Sunday for Ivory Coast against fellow Forest player and Nigerian International Aina. But the question for all Nottingham Forest fans is will these key players return in time for Premier League match against West Ham at the weekend, and will their returns play a key role in our season going forward. Sangare absence from the team over the past few weeks has been noticeable with Yates coming in to fill that role best he can, but the difference in quality is clear to see. Therefore with Sangare imminent return to the Nottingham Forest midfield, should we expect an upturn in both performances and results? Also returning from AFCON will be full back Aina and centre back Boly, both will add much needed depth to squad and give boss Nuno more option for the starting eleven and the bench. But who would you take out of the team to include any of the returning players? Let us know in the comments below. We will keep you updated with all the news regarding the African players return to Nottingham and if we can expect to see them play against West Ham this weekend. Matt Davies is joined by Chris Aylmer to discuss Nottingham Forest's Premier League defeat against Bournemouth at the City Ground on Saturday as Nuno Espirito Santo took charge for the first time. Willy Boly was ridiculously sent off after 25 minutes and though Forest showed plenty of spirit to first lead and then draw level, they were undone by a Dominic Solanke hat-trick, including a stoppage time winner. We discuss how much the defeat was down to the officials, who should have awarded Forest a first half penalty, and how much was down to their own defensive failings. Please take a moment to listen to this episode about reconciliation and conflict resolution. Recording it was balm for my soul, and I hope it will be for yours too. In this week's conversation, I have the pleasure of introducing you to a dear friend and fellow medicine man, Ramsay Boly. As you'll experience, Ramsay has a strikingly peaceful presence and possesses the rare being of open-hearted warriorship. He is pure leadership – at least the kind that I can get behind! Since I met Ramsay 3 and a half years ago, I have been inspired by the way he lives his life, thinking carefully and deeply about things and putting his money where his mouth is. In addition to being a father, an avid meditator, and a certified Diviner by the Dagara tradition, Ramsay has also spent the better part of his life preparing for and studying the art of conflict resolution, mediation, and peace-making. In this episode, we go deeper into: What is restorative justice? What are some of the core elements of mediation? What gets in the way of successful mediations? What are some of the indigenous perspectives that underpin the way Ramsay approaches mediation? Why is the indigenous perspective important at this time? What is the importance of conflict? And much more! I'm honored and truly privileged to be able to drop an episode like this in these times we're living in. At the end of this conversation, I felt happy to be alive and a co-creator of humanity's story. Many of us are faced with seemingly impossible questions right now. How do we keep our hearts open? This episode addressed some of the deepest questions in my life at this moment. If you'd like to connect with Ramsay, his website is www.re-delve.com. Suor Lucia Clor

Abstract: Different theories explain how subjective experience arises from brain activity. These theories have independently accrued evidence, yet, confirmation bias and dependence on design choices hamper progress in the field. Here, we present an open science adversarial collaboration which directly juxtaposes Integrated Information Theory (IIT) and Global Neuronal Workspace Theory (GNWT), employing a theory-neutral consortium approach. We investigate neural correlates of the content and duration of visual experience. The theory proponents and the consortium developed and preregistered the experimental design, divergent predictions, expected outcomes, and their interpretation. 256 human subjects viewed suprathreshold stimuli for variable durations while neural activity was measured with functional magnetic resonance imaging, magnetoencephalography, and electrocorticography. We find information about conscious content in visual, ventro-temporal and inferior frontal cortex, with sustained responses in occipital and lateral temporal cortex reflecting stimulus duration, and content-specific synchronization between frontal and early visual areas. These results confirm some predictions of IIT and GNWT, while substantially challenging both theories: for IIT, a lack of sustained synchronization within posterior cortex contradicts the claim that network connectivity specifies consciousness. GNWT is challenged by the general lack of ignition at stimulus offset and limited representation of certain conscious dimensions in prefrontal cortex. Beyond challenging the theories themselves, we present an alternative approach to advance cognitive neuroscience through a principled, theory-driven, collaborative effort. We highlight the challenges to change people's mind and the need for a quantitative framework integrating evidence for systematic theory testing and building. Copy rights belong to original authors. EPISODE 113: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, coach, and That Fit Friend founder Jake Boly joins the boys on the podcast this week to discuss developing a niche website, producing genuine content, and growing your YouTube channel in 2023. Formerly having worked for some of the most prominent fitness publications magazines, including BarBend, Jake built his own niche website, That Fit Friend. That Fit Friend is a website and YouTube channel dedicated to testing and reviewing the best training shoes and apparel and creating content to help people make informed buying decisions. I'm often asked about training shoes. For example, is it worth investing in weightlifting shoes with an elevated heel for squats? Should you deadlift in those shoes, or is it better to pull barefoot? What about minimalist, “barefoot-style” shoes? And to be honest, fitness footwear isn't something I've spent a lot of time looking into, so I wanted to invite an expert in the field onto the podcast to discuss the topic. That's why Jake Boly is joining me for an interview in this episode, to not only explain the differences between fitness shoes, why they matter, and what to look for in a pair gym shoes based on your training, but to also give specific model recommendations. In case you're not familiar with Jake, he's the founder of That Fit Friend, a site dedicated to testing and reviewing the best training shoes and apparel, and creating content to help people make informed buying decisions. A lot of review content out there is nothing more than undercover marketing and paid advertising, but Jake actually runs the gear through the ringer and puts it to the test in real-life both inside and outside the gym, so he can give a genuine, useful review of its performance. In this interview, Jake and I talk about . . . What to look for in a training shoe The different types of shoes, including different materials and construction and how they impact performance and durability Who should use weightlifting shoes What heel drop is, why it matters, and how it affects your squats and deadlifts Barefoot training and "barefoot" style shoes Specific recommendations of models to check out Signs you might not have the right pair of shoes And more . . . This week we get to talk with Michael Boly about the mindset of the Gen Z and how it is different than my generation “Gen X”. Michael is a podcaster, entrepreneur, and mindset enthusiast, passionate about expanding his capacity to enjoy life, and helping others do the same. At age 22, Michael's belief in the power of perception has helped him generate over 200K in sales across his ventures (while in college!). Now he focuses on helping Gen Z create the life they truly desire through his podcast called The Wealth Mindset Show. My biggest takeaways from our talk are: Gen Zs are used to being judged and criticized online, which contributes to their scarcity mindset. One piece of advice for people outside of Gen Z is to understand that they're coming from a place where they're constantly being judged by others. The Importance of Work-life balance to Gen Zs So today we are thinking big about our success mindsets Connect with Michael Boly Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-wealth-mindset-show/id1575152964 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/68uBWbcN3kHJ41CxkRw5K6 TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@bolystories Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/michaelboly/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/michael-boly-9179a6187/ Website: https://wealthmindsetshow.com/

This week we have Jake Boly. He is a strength coach and holds a B.S in Exercise Science and M.S. in Sports Science. He was the first employee at Barbend and helped build out their content catalog for a number of years. These days, he's building “That Fit Friend,” which is focused on reviewing workout shoes and apparel. Show Notes: (0:05) Your time is split in several different ways. Can you explain your various roles and how much time you are spending on each of them? (3:20) How is “That Fit Friend” different from most other review sites in the shoe/apparel space? (12:36) How many shoes are in your workout rotation? Can you go over some of your personal favorites? (15:53) Let's say I'm someone that wants a good all-around shoe to work out at home with. I do a little bit of everything – CrossFit, powerlifting, HIIT, and bodybuilding type workouts. I only want to buy one pair of shoes. What would you advise me to get? (17:22) Who makes better workout shoes? Nike or Reebok? (18:49) You've been reviewing gear for several years. Has there been much change or evolution since you've started? (21:20) What are some of the most overrated shoes you've ever tested out? (24:11) Buy once, cry once is something we say a lot in the home gym space. Is that something you'd recommend when purchasing workout apparel? (26:12) You started your entrepreneurial journey back in 2020. What have been the biggest challenges you've faced since going all-in? (28:00) Any predictions for the shoe industry in the next five years?
