She counts "Alvin and the Chipmunks" and "Second City Television" as major influences on her desire to perform, whether that meant pranking family members or acting in the plays written by her older brother, the humorist David Sedaris. Siblings aside, she was also surrounded by several other notable comedians, including Stephen Colbert and Paul Dinello, whom she met in her twenties at Chicago's Second City comedy troupe. That trio would go on to create "Strangers with Candy" in 1999, a sitcom underpinned by the same surreal yet comic tone that would come to define Sedaris's later roles on shows like "BoJack Horseman," "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," and her own series, "At Home with Amy Sedaris." Gewisse Süssigkeiten sind ein ein Stückchen Papier eingewickelt: Lutschbonbons und manches mehr. Sie sind so eingewickelt, dass man einfach an den Enden des Wickelpapiers ziehen muss, also das ganze auseinanderziehen und dann dreht sich die Einwicklung auf und man kann das Bonbon entnehmen. Das geht deshalb, weil die Wicklung der beiden Enden in entgegegesetzter Drehrichtung erfolgte. Nicht selten ist das so bei uns: Entgegengesetztes sieht auf den ersten Blick polar oder fremd oder sich ausschliessend aus, am Ende ergänzt es sich aber optimal. Das ist manchmal in Beziehungen so - es heisst ja, dass sich Gegensätze anziehen; oder besser: ergänzen. Das ist im geschäftlichen Umfeld in Teams so, die somit Stärken und Schwächen ausgleichen und ergänzen. Und das kann möglicherweise auch in Dir drin so sein: Was Du initial an oder in Dir ablehnst ist eigentlich ein Gewinn, eine Stärke oder ein Segen. Kannst Du das so sehen, vielleicht als neue Perspektive? Ich wünsche Dir einen aussergewöhnlichen Tag!
