The recruiting for Nebraska hasn't fallen off since the departure of Frost and Chinander. What is the interim staff doing
-Joseph took the podium on Nebraska's bye week yesterday and said “Chins” is a good man and a good coach, but the numbers didn't up defensively. Hard to argue against that, obviously.-Also, as we expected, Ajay Allen is officially out for the season and will redshirt with a season-ending injury-More from Joseph's press conference…Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

All that and much more!

On this episode of Generation Red: A Husker Podcast, Scott and I recap the Mashing in Memorial, AKA the OU game. As a result, defensive coordinator Erik Chinander was handed his walking papers. It is unprecedented to lose to major coaches on one staff, mid-season. First Frost, and now his right hand man. This tells me that interim Head Coach Mickey Joseph ain't playin' around. We take a look at the cumulative stats that contributed to Chinander's demise, and then look forward to the rest of 2022 and beyond. Including a discussion about a certain coach, whom if hired, might divide this fanbase even further...including the hosts of this podcast. Would be entertaining though. Lol.But before we get into the game and the future of Husker football, we take a nostalgic trip into the past as we talk with filmmaker Justin LePara, the director of Day by Day, a Husker documentary that debuted Part 1 in May of this year. Justin has plenty of stories to share, and hopefully we will also get some insight as to when the first part will be available to stream and/or download. Then, we will focus on Part 2, in which former head coach Scott Frost plays an integral role. It will be interesting to hear Justin's insight into the final cut process after the dismissal of such a major player in those last three years of Husker domination. We hope you enjoyed the show, and would love for you to contact us with questions, comments, or suggestions. It's that time of year again. The season of Travel. Since Pat and Tweedy are actually autonomous beings that can't always be together. Also, it's Tweedy's equipment so he gets to decide what to do during the holidays.Soooooo... Tweedy invited his smartest Husker friends (Nicson, Kadavy and Gasper) on to fellate the new staff, oogle over the early enrollees and predict the score of the UCF victories. this episode has a very different energy than most of our Cobcasts and it was very fun to make. I hope it's as fun to listen to.Next week we will return to our usual show (we have a very special guest joining us so hold on to your butts). The Big Red Cobcast wishes you and yours and very happy holiday season, happy new year and a hearty GO BIG RED.Please join us in the HuskerMax.com forums to share your thoughts and to tell us where we are wrong and where you think we are super geniuses. You can also follow us on Twitter: @BigRedCobcast See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
