Postwords:"Luke Warm" can be a nasty taste, especially if you're used to drinking hot coffee or cold tea! One time I drink some lukewarm soda, oh boy did I raff, I regretted that, luckily no one was around to watch me go through that experience, but I've learned you either want a cold glass of milk or hot glass of milk, you either want a cold drink or hot drink; few to none wants a lukewarm drink, even a glass of water you wanted to have some kind of a chill to it. That's all God is asking His church to do, if she's cold and has lost her fervor, lost that first love, if you're cold? that's okay; He can come, by way of His Holy Spirit; He knows what to do, He knows what to do to stir you up, to light a fire under you.  Remember the Holy Spirit is here he's dwelling with you and He can get you back on track! He knows how to get his church fired up again! See when she's hot and on fire for Him; she goes out, win souls, brings them into God's kingdom. When He left that great commission here beginning with His apostles: "As He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15) read it. Preach it when hot,  Compellingly, give the Word in and out of season. while having at your disposal wisdom, knowledge that true wealth of God, that He's ready to impart and embellished upon you, with His white robe of righteousness! But to do nothing, nor share His Word with this lost world, if you're going to sit on the side line, hiding His Word; being "a lukewarm" church; you're not doing what He told you to do, what you are doing is allowing His people  to be devoured by the enemy. Therefore in God's eyes you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked: He would rather spit you out! Replace you with another obedient hot church, rather than have you be lukewarm (Revelation 3:17) Read it.Contact: heavensprayerlink.com, we love to pray with you, God bless you. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/heavensprayerlink/support

Jeffery Olsen and his son Spencer, are Near Death Experience survivors of a car accident that took the lives of Jeffery's first wife, and Spencer's mother, Tamara and Jeffery's son (Spencer's brother), Griffin. To add to the trauma of the event, Jeffery's leg was amputated in the process, he broke his back, endured eighteen surgeries, and five months in an Intensive Care Unit. In this week's episode, Jeffery and Spencer share the details of their lives prior and post accident, their ongoing navigation of grief, loss and acceptance, their journey of hope, enlightenment, and the healing gift that is Jeffery's second wife, Tonya and the children they now have together. There is a trigger warning for this episode, as Jeffery and Spencer courageously recount the day of the accident in explicit detail, and their comparative experience with it. Compellingly, Jeffery discusses the subsequent Out-of-Body Experience he had in the immediate moments post accident, an experience he describes as profoundly vivid, in which he was able to converse with his deceased wife, as they floated in a ball of light. Her instruction to him in that moment was simple and clear: "You need to go back and raise our son so he is not orphaned".The event that Jeffery and Spencer endured on that day was tragic. However, it is overpowered by hope and love. Twenty six years later, you will see two humans that are enriched, at peace, and in their own words, "refusing to be victims". W.-T., Lui, A., Piekarski, D., Irrinki, A., Schaffer, D., Landry, M. P. Abstract: Dopamine neuromodulation is a critical process that facilitates learning, motivation, and motor control. Disruption of these processes has been implicated in several neurological and psychiatric disorders including Huntington's Disease (HD). While several treatments for physical and psychiatric HD symptoms target dopaminergic neuromodulation, the mechanism by which dopaminergic dysfunction occurs during HD is unknown. This is partly due to limited capability to visualize dopamine dynamics at the spatiotemporal resolution of both neuromodulator release (ms) and dopaminergic boutons (m). Here we employ near-infrared fluorescent catecholamine nanosensors (nIRCats) to image dopamine release within the brain striatum of R6/2 Huntington's Disease Model (R6/2) mice. We find that stimulated dorsal striatal dopamine release decreases with progressive motor degeneration and that these decreases are primarily driven by a decrease in the number of dopamine hotspots combined with decreased release intensity and decreased release fidelity. Using nIRCat's high spatial resolution, we show that dopamine hotspots in late HD show increased ability to add new dopamine hotspots at high extracellular calcium concentrations and track individual dopamine hotspots over repeated stimulations and pharmacological wash to measure dopamine hotspots release fidelity. Compellingly, we demonstrate that antagonism of D2-autoreceptors using Sulpiride and direct blocking of Kv1.2 channels using 4-Aminopyradine (4-AP) increases the fidelity of dopamine hotspot activity in WT striatum but not in late HD striatum, indicating that D2-autoreceptor regulation of dopamine release through Kv1.2 channels is compromised in late HD. These findings, enabled by nIRCats, provide a more detailed look into how dopamine release is disrupted and dysregulated during Huntington's Disease to alter the coverage of dopamine modulation across the dorsal striatum. Jeffrey Mosher spends time with Tyler Rossmaessler, Flint & Genesee Economic Alliance's executive director. Flint & Genesee Economic Alliance, a division of the Flint & Genesee Group, has a new resource in its business attraction and retention toolbelt. DevelopFlintandGenesee.org is a dedicated website for marketing Genesee County to companies – locally, nationally and internationally – as an ideal place to invest and grow their businesses. Economic Alliance, Genesee County's lead economic development organization, markets the county's locations, buildings, sites, talent and other assets to companies looking to expand operations. It works to spur job growth and capital investment by established businesses based in Flint and Genesee County that are eyeing expansion as well as companies outside the region that have identified opportunities here. “DevelopFlintandGenesee.org helps make the case in a beautiful and compelling way for why a business should consider an investment in Flint and Genesee County,” said Tyler Rossmaessler, Economic Alliance's executive director. “Additionally, for those companies and their representatives not from here or unfamiliar with our county's assets, the website provides an excellent primer as well as a tool for more detailed conversations, whether they occur in-person, on the phone or on Zoom.” Among its features, DevelopFlintandGenesee.org allows visitors to conduct an online search of more than 500 available commercial and industrial properties in Genesee County. It includes a 3-D rendering tool to help site selectors visualize how a new facility might fit on a vacant lot. A data center provides the latest information on the county's population, industry and workforce. The website also includes information on a variety of quality-of-life factors that influence companies' investment decisions, such community profiles, housing costs, education, health care and recreational options. Local small business owners and entrepreneurs, and businesses interested in and engaged in government contracting will also find much to like about DevelopFlintandGenesee.org, Rossmaessler said. Resources for those business audiences are housed under tabs “Small Business Help Desk” and “PTAC” (Procurement Technical Assistance Center), respectively. DevelopFlintandGenesee.org broadens the Economic Alliance's identity as Genesee County's economic development organization, following the Flint & Genesee Group's rebranding efforts unveiled in April 2021. “The website really helps refine our outreach and communications with current and prospective clients,” said Rossmaessler. “It's a great addition to our retention and attraction efforts.” » Visit MBN website: www.michiganbusinessnetwork.com/ » Subscribe to MBN's YouTube: www.youtube.com/channel/UCqNX… » Like MBN: www.facebook.com/mibiznetwork » Follow MBN: twitter.com/MIBizNetwork/ » MBN Instagram: www.instagram.com/mibiznetwork/

Stated with zero hesitation, Kevin Feige goddamn WISHES he could do what this cartoon did. Compellingly accurate comicbook storylines, overarching plots from episode one, decent animation even in action scenes, and all of the sony properties the MCU/Disney hates not owning. They crushed with this and it's so weird that they do that because it's this and one other show that Marvel has animated that wasn't borderline awful. We salute this cartoon for being the cheat sheet for the MCU's major events and how not to mess them up. If police are the problem, what's the solution? Tens of millions of people poured onto the streets for Black Lives Matter, bringing with them a wholly new idea of public safety, common security, and the delivery of justice, communicating that vision in the fiery vernacular of riot, rebellion, and protest. Geo Maher's new book, A World Without Police transcribes these new ideas—written in slogans and chants, over occupied bridges and hastily assembled barricades—into a compelling, must-read manifesto for police abolition. Compellingly argued and lyrically charged, A World Without Police offers concrete strategies for confronting and breaking police power, as a first step toward building community alternatives that make the police obsolete. Compellingly argued and lyrically charged, A World Without Police offers concrete strategies for confronting and breaking police power, as a first step toward building community alternatives that make the police obsolete. Surveying the post-protest landscape in Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Oakland, as well as the people who have experimented with policing alternatives at a mass scale in Latin America, Maher details the institutions we can count on to deliver security without the disorganizing interventions of cops: neighborhood response networks, community-based restorative justice practices, democratically organized self-defense projects, and well-resourced social services. A World Without Police argues that abolition is not a distant dream or an unreachable horizon but an attainable reality. In communities around the world, we are beginning to glimpse a real, lasting justice in which we keep us safe. (New Yorker 20041219) Compellingly interesting and enormously important...The most stimulating, the most provocative, and the most illuminating work of nonfiction I have read in some time. --William McPherson (Washington Post Book World 20050301) A work of high intellectual daring...Here is an accomplished biologist explaining, in notably clear and unprevaricating language, what he thinks his subject now has to offer to the understanding of man and society...The implications of Wilson's thesis are rather considerable, for if true, no system of political, social, religious or ethical thought can afford to ignore it. --Nicholas Wade (New Republic 20071124) Twenty-five years after its first publication, Harvard University Press has re-released Edward O. Dr. Saifedean Ammous speaks at the Libertarians Scholars Conference September 29, 2019. When a pseudonymous programmer introduced “a new electronic cash system that’s fully peer-to-peer, with no trusted third party” to a small online mailing list in 2008, very few paid attention. Ten years later, and against all odds, this upstart autonomous decentralized software offers an unstoppable and globally-accessible hard money alternative to modern central banks. The Bitcoin Standard analyzes the historical context to the rise of Bitcoin, the economic properties that have allowed it to grow quickly, and its likely economic, political, and social implications. While Bitcoin is a new invention of the digital age, the problem it purports to solve is as old as human society itself: transferring value across time and space. Ammous takes the reader on an engaging journey through the history of technologies performing the functions of money, from primitive systems of trading limestones and seashells, to metals, coins, the gold standard, and modern government debt. Exploring what gave these technologies their monetary role, and how most lost it, provides the reader with a good idea of what makes for sound money, and sets the stage for an economic discussion of its consequences for individual and societal future-orientation, capital accumulation, trade, peace, culture, and art. Compellingly, Ammous shows that it is no coincidence that the loftiest achievements of humanity have come in societies enjoying the benefits of sound monetary regimes, nor is it coincidental that monetary collapse has usually accompanied civilizational collapse.

Daniel Nemser's Infrastructures of Race: Concentration and Biopolitics in Colonial Mexico(University of Texas Press, 2017) examines the long history of how Spanish imperial rule depended upon spatial concentration – the gathering of people and things into centralized spaces – to control populations and consolidate power. Through four case studies spanning nearly 300 years of Spanish rule in colonial Mexico, Nemser illustrates how different modes of concentration -- centralized towns, disciplinary institutions, segregated neighborhoods, and general collections – reflected the prerogatives and imperatives of domination and expropriation. Compellingly, Infrastructures of Race argues that these spatial infrastructures and strategies were central and instrumental in the creation of racial identities and their inscription upon colonial subjects. Through designed and engineered spaces, racial identities were lived, sensed, and experienced, and as the built environment faded into barely noticeable infrastructure, race as well became naturalized. Infrastructures of Race provides essential historical background for present-day interrogations of how infrastructures – from aged water pipes to search engine algorithms – reinforce persistent racial inequalities. The challenges of de-racializing these often unnoticed foundations require a deep understanding of how race became so imbricated with technological environments. Through Nemser's case studies, we can better apprehend the hundreds of years of oppression that have been built into our material lives. Lance C. Thurner recently completed a PhD in History at Rutgers University with a dissertation addressing the production of medical knowledge, political subjectivities, and racial and national identities in eighteenth and nineteenth-century Mexico. He is broadly interested in the methods and politics of applying a global perspective to the history of science and medicine and the role of the humanities in the age of the Anthropocene. Through Nemser’s case studies, we can better apprehend the hundreds of years of oppression that have been built into our material lives. Karen Finocchio Karen Finocchio: My name is Karen and I am here for you. In fact, the whole OTM Army is here for you. Directly out of high school at age 19, I married a military man and by age 28, I had four children and a toxic marriage. At 30, I decided to leave my extremely unhealthy marriage to become a single mother. With no education, I took any job I could get, as a waitress, a bartender, a mail delivery person, a bank, to eventually sell and voice radio commercials. Denied food stamps and struggling financially to provide for my children, I met an earth angel who told me about a government program for single mothers. The program allowed low-income women to buy a house, with no money down and no interest. So, against negative opinions, disbelievers, all self-doubt, and fear of failure; I did it, by myself, as a single mother, we bought our home. While my children grew, I focused on my career. I learned everything I could, especially about advertising and marketing. Within years, I opened my own in-house agency, allowing me to work with the WWF/WWE, NASCAR, The Grammys, Sharon and Ozzy Osborn, as well as cast members from The Sopranos and the Jersey Shore show. Learning from others, I wrote and produced national radio and tv commercials which aired on NBC, CBS, FOX and every network in-between. However, as my career and column flourished, I faced some very tough times. Two failed marriages and a devastating suicide by someone I loved, left me questioning my purpose in life. In 2012, on the advice of my children, I started the One Tough Muther (#OTM) advice column. A web critic critiqued me as “Dear Abby on steroids” due to my tough love answers and my column skyrocketed. To date, I’ve been published in magazines, interviewed on radio shows, on podcasts and TV shows. In August of this year, The One Tough Muther Show hit the market. Premiering on CBS Radio with co-hosts, Tough Muther and Tough Brother Seth, we aim to inspire women at any stage in life, to believe in themselves with self-confidence, building self-esteem and courage. Our goal is to help women realize, that the only person that must truly believe in you, is YOU. able guests include: Gloria Allred, Kara Goldin, Melinda Wittstock, Joy Altimare, Erin Cole, Dr. Lillian Glass, Retired Lieutenant Colonel Tracy “JackieO” Latourette, Polo Tate, Taylor Daynes, Dr. Anna Lee Fisher, and Jennifer Dulski. Compellingly honest, inspiring, educational, emotional, and at times edgy, One Tough Muther, Tough Brother Seth, and their guests will stop at nothing to help guide and empower women. Remember, you don’t have to be a Mother, to be One Tough Mother. It’s all about U!

Welcome to the audio podcasting home of Saifedean Ammous and The Bitcoin Standard. When a pseudonymous programmer introduced “a new electronic cash system that's fully peer-to-peer, with no trusted third party” to a small Online mailing list in 2008, very few paid attention. Ammous takes the listener on an engaging journey through the history of technologies performing the functions of money, from primitive systems of trading limestones and seashells, to metals, coins, the gold standard, and modern government debt. Exploring what gave these technologies their monetary role, and how most lost it, provides the listener with a good idea of what makes for sound money, and sets the stage for an economic discussion of its consequences for individual and societal future-orientation, capital accumulation, trade, peace, culture, and art. Compellingly, Ammous shows that it is no coincidence that the loftiest achievements of humanity have come in societies enjoying the benefits of sound monetary regimes, nor is it coincidental that monetary collapse has usually accompanied the collapse of a civilization. With this background in place, the book moves on to explain the operation of bitcoin in a functional and intuitive way. Bitcoin is a decentralized, distributed piece of software that converts electricity and processing power into indisputably accurate records, thus allowing its users to utilize the Internet to perform the traditional functions of money without having to rely on, or trust, any authorities or infrastructure in the physical world. Bitcoin is thus best understood as the first successfully implemented form of digital cash and digital hard money. With an automated and perfectly predictable monetary policy, and the ability to perform final settlement of large sums across the world in a matter of minutes, Bitcoin's real competitive edge might just be as a store of value and network for final settlement of large payments - a digital form of gold with a built-in settlement infrastructure.Ammous' firm grasp of the technological possibilities as well as the historical realities of monetary evolution provides for a fascinating exploration of the ramifications of voluntary free market money. As it challenges the most sacred of government monopolies, bitcoin shifts the pendulum of sovereignty away from governments in favor of individuals, offering us the tantalizing possibility of a world where money is fully extricated from politics and unrestrained by borders.Saifedean's Research Papers available on SSRNSaifedean's blog: The Saif HouseLinkedin Linkedin profileTwitter Twitter profileSaifedean's Udemy course (with a 50% discount)Email Notifications - http://saifedean.com/'The Bitcoin Standard' on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Bitcoin-Standard-Decentralized-Alternative-Central-ebook/dp/B07BPM3GZQ/ref=dp_kinw_strp_1Follow the best podcasts from the best minds in the Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency space on twitter.https://twitter.com/bitcoinpodcasts

How do otherwise considerate human beings do cruel things and still live in peace with themselves? Drawing on his agentic theory, Dr. Bandura provides a definitive exposition of the psychosocial mechanism by which people selectively disengage their moral self-sanctions from their harmful conduct. They do so by sanctifying their harmful behavior as serving worthy causes; they absolve themselves of blame for the harm they cause by displacement and diffusion of responsibility; they minimize or deny the harmful effects of their actions; and they dehumanize those they maltreat and blame them for bringing the suffering on themselves. Dr. Bandura's theory of moral disengagement is uniquely broad in scope. Theories of morality focus almost exclusively at the individual level. He insightfully extends the disengagement of morality to the social-system level through which wide-spread inhumanities are perpetrated. In so doing, he offers enlightening new perspectives on some of the most provocative issues of our time, addressing:Moral disengagement in all aspects of the death penalty—from public policy debates, to jury decisions, to the processes of execution The social and moral justifications of major industries—including gun manufacturers, the entertainment industry, tobacco companies, and the world of "too big to fail" finance Moral disengagement in terrorism, and how terrorists rationalize the use of violence as a means of social change Climate change denial, and the strenuous efforts by some to dispute the overwhelming scientific consensus affirming the impact of human behavior on the environment“Al Bandura is the most cited individual in the history of psychology for the depth, breadth and originality of his ideas and writings. Now with his ground-breaking new contribution, Moral Disengagement, his reach extends not only to teachers and students but also to the general public --making them aware of everyday evils in many spheres of daily life that must be counteracted by mindful moral engagement.” ----Phil Zimbardo, Ph.D. Author, The Lucifer Effect; President, The Heroic Imagination Project“The authoritative statement by the world's most-cited living psychologist, laying out his influential theory. Plunge into these fascinating historical and modern case studies of moral disengagement—morality tales for all time, illuminated by the psychology of how people do harm to themselves and others.”-- Susan T. Fiske, Psychology and Public Affairs, Princeton University "This fascinating book is a sad reminder of the ubiquity of moral disengagement; it is a much needed call to arms; and it is even a practical primer of how to engage with others in ways that recognize and build on our shared humanity. It helps us identify and resist what threatens to diminish each of us and reminds us that morality is less about the ends we seek to achieve and more about the means we use. "----Thomas D. Cook, Joan and Serepta Harrison Professor of Ethics and Justice, Professor of Sociology, Psychology, Education, and Social Policy, Northwestern University; and Senior Fellow, Mathematica Policy Research, Washington, DC“Dr. Albert Bandura is one of the great behavioral scientists of our time. His superb contributions include a deep analysis of human morality, its fundamental importance and the complexity of its development.” ----David A. Hamburg, MD, Visiting Scholar, American Association for the Advancement of Science; DeWitt Wallace Distinguished Scholar, Weill Cornell Medical College; President Emeritus, Carnegie Corporation of New YorkReview"Al Bandura is the most cited individual in the history of psychology for the depth, breadth and originality of his ideas and writings. It shows how moral disengagement works in business, politics and social life, and how these practices should be unmasked for ethical human functioning."----Laszlo Zsolnai, Professor and Director, Business Ethics Center, Corvinus University of Budapest and President, European SPES Institute, Leuven"Moral Disengagement holds the key for unlocking the greatest mystery at the root our biggest policy problems: why do moral people behave immorally? Compellingly written, Bandura draws on the best social science - much of it his own - to illuminate policy issues ranging from gun violence to climate change. It is, in short, must-reading for all."----Jon D. Hanson, Alfred Smart Professor of Law and director of The Project on Law and Mind Sciences, Harvard Law School"Timely and soaring above the plethora of psychological theorizing published today, Bandura's work on Moral Disengagement utilizes social cognitive theory to explain morality. This work should be essential reading for humanity. Sharp, insightful, and provocative, it provides comprehensive answers to dispel the myriad questions about how human beings can commit atrocious immoral acts and still live with themselves." Regan A. R. Gurung, Ph.D. Ben J. & Joyce Rosenberg Professor of Human Development & Psychology, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay"About the AuthorAlbert Bandura is one of the most eminent psychologists of modern times. He is a renowned scholar whose pioneering research in social cognitive theory has served as a rich resource for academics, practitioners, and policy makers alike across disciplinary lines. His illustrative career includes groundbreaking work across a broad range of areas. His seminal research on social modeling expanded our view of human learning and the growing primacy of this mode of learning in this electronic era. His later research on self-regulatory mechanisms laid the theoretical foundation for his theory of human agency. These diverse programs of research blend his theoretical interests with an abiding concern for the use of psychological knowledge for human enlightenment and betterment. He is the recipient of countless awards for his distinguished lifetime contributions to psychological science and innovative social applications."
