In September 2024, Thalia Graves filed a lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs, accusing him and his former head of security, Joseph Sherman, of raping her in the summer of 2001. The lawsuit claims that Graves, then 25, was lured to a meeting at Combs' Bad Boy Records studio, where she was allegedly drugged, bound, and raped by both men. The lawsuit also alleges that the assault was recorded on video without her consent, and that the footage was later distributed as pornography.Graves has spoken publicly about the severe emotional trauma she has suffered since the alleged incident, including PTSD, flashbacks, and suicidal thoughts. The lawsuit, filed under the New York City Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, seeks compensatory and punitive damages, as well as the removal of all copies of the video. This lawsuit is one of several against Combs, who was recently arrested on separate federal charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering. Sherman maintains that the claims are entirely fabricated, and his defense highlights that Graves allegedly contacted him multiple times following the incident, which he suggests undermines the credibility of her accusations.Sherman, aligning with Combs' legal stance, contends that the lawsuit is part of a broader attempt to bring false charges against them, given the current legal pressures Combs is facing. Gilgo Beach Suspect Rex Heuermann Charged in 7th Murder-2024 REVIEW

Accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann has been charged with a seventh murder, as prosecutors revealed shocking new details tying him to the death of Valerie Mack, whose remains were discovered in 2000 and 2011. Heuermann, a 61-year-old New York architect, pleaded not guilty in court as investigators described evidence linking him to Mack's killing. Valerie Mack, who was 24 years old and working as an escort in Philadelphia, was last seen in New Jersey in 2000. Later that year, a hunter's dog found her decapitated body in a wooded area of Manorville, Long Island. Mack's remains were bound with rope, wrapped in a plastic bag sealed with duct tape, according to prosecutors. Her hands and part of one leg had been severed from her body. More than a decade later, in 2011, authorities found additional remains belonging to Mack along Ocean Parkway near Gilgo Beach. These discoveries were part of a larger investigation into the notorious Gilgo Beach serial killings. Suffolk County prosecutors stated that mitochondrial DNA analysis played a critical role in identifying a link between Heuermann and Mack. A strand of hair found with Mack's remains matched the genetic profile of Heuermann's daughter, who would have been only 3 or 4 years old at the time of Mack's death. Prosecutors emphasized that his daughter is not suspected of any wrongdoing. Investigators also pointed to disturbing evidence seized during their investigation. Among Heuermann's possessions were 350 electronic devices containing violent pornography featuring bondage, torture, and mutilation. Prosecutors described these materials as eerily consistent with the condition in which Mack's body was found. A chilling discovery came in the form of a document, allegedly created in 2000, that prosecutors believe served as a "kill plan." Under a section labeled “supplies,” Heuermann had listed items such as “rope/cord,” “saw/cutting tools,” and “foam drain cleaner.” The document also contained a “body prep” section with a note to “remove head and hands.” Investigators said it included the name of one of the locations where Mack's remains were found. In addition, prosecutors said Heuermann kept newspaper clippings about the Gilgo Beach killings at his Massapequa Park home. Among the items were a 2003 New York Post article titled “Serial Killer Eyed in LI Slay” and a 1993 Newsday article headlined “Body Discovered in Woods.” Prosecutors argued these items were kept as “souvenirs or mementos” of his crimes. During the court appearance, Heuermann, shackled and wearing a suit, declared, “Your honor, I am not guilty of any of these charges.” Judge Timothy Mazzei ordered that Heuermann remain held without bail. Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney underscored the importance of seeking justice for the victims. “The lives of these women matter. We, as investigators, understand that. No one understands that more than the families,” Tierney said during a news conference. Mack's parents, who attended the court proceedings, did not speak publicly. However, other victims' family members showed their support by presenting roses to Mack's parents and expressing solidarity. “They were, and they are, loved. And they are missed every day by those who knew them and who had a strong bond with them,” said Gloria Allred, who represents the families of Melissa Barthelemy, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Jessica Taylor, and Megan Waterman. Outside court, Heuermann's attorney, Michael Brown, challenged the prosecution's evidence, specifically questioning the reliability of the DNA analysis. Brown stated that hair samples were recovered more than a year ago and argued that the DNA methods used have not been validated in any New York case. Heuermann, who was initially arrested in July 2023, has also pleaded not guilty to the murders of six other women: Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Amber Costello, Jessica Taylor, and Sandra Costilla. The Gilgo Beach killings span decades, with the earliest victim discovered in 1993 and additional remains uncovered as recently as 2011. The case remains one of the most infamous serial murder investigations in New York history. #GilgoBeach #RexHeuermann #ValerieMack #TrueCrime #SerialKiller #JusticeForVictims #LongIslandMurders Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? Under a section labeled “supplies,” Heuermann had listed items such as “rope/cord,” “saw/cutting tools,” and “foam drain cleaner.” The document also contained a “body prep” section with a note to “remove head and hands.” Investigators said it included the name of one of the locations where Mack's remains were found. Joseph Sherman, formerly a bodyguard for Sean "Diddy" Combs, has filed a defamation lawsuit against Thalia Graves and her attorney, Gloria Allred. This legal action follows Graves' allegations that, in 2001, both Combs and Sherman drugged, bound, and raped her at a Bad Boy Entertainment recording studio, recording the assault and distributing it as pornography. In his lawsuit, Sherman asserts that he ceased working for Combs in 1999 and has never met Graves, labeling her claims as "utterly and entirely false." He contends that Graves contacted him in November 2023, seeking his cooperation as a witness against Combs in exchange for excluding him from legal proceedings. Sherman includes alleged messages from Graves in his lawsuit to support this claim.Sherman argues that the accusations have caused significant harm to his reputation and livelihood. His lawsuit includes counts of defamation, emotional distress, negligence, and abuse of process against Graves, Allred, and other associated parties. This countersuit emerges amid a series of legal challenges facing Combs, who was arrested in September 2024 on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. Graves accuses both Combs and Sherman of drugging, raping, and recording her without her consent in 2001 at Combs' Bad Boy Records studio. Both men are expected to contest Graves' claims vigorously in court, seeking to prove their innocence. The case against them, however, has garnered significant attention, particularly given Combs' other legal issues, including charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering.source:Debauched life of Diddy bodyguard 'Big Joe' revealed in unearthed photos that show him partying with naked women and megastars | Daily Mail OnlineJoseph Sherman, formerly a bodyguard for Sean "Diddy" Combs, has filed a defamation lawsuit against Thalia Graves and her attorney, Gloria Allred. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges and remains jailed without bail.source:Sean "Diddy" Combs accused of rape, recording alleged attack in newly filed lawsuit - CBS Los Angeles (cbsnews.com)In the second segment...Joseph Sherman, Sean "Diddy" Combs' former head of security, has strongly denied the allegations made by Thalia Graves in her recent lawsuit. Graves accuses both Combs and Sherman of drugging, raping, and recording her without her consent in 2001 at Combs' Bad Boy Records studio. Pls sub to the PPM Patreon to support our ongoing struggle against the Diddler trafficking nexus and to access the recently declassified "Dossier #6.A": patreon.com/ParaPowerMapping This is an emergency broadcast in light of recent developments. Diddy Declassified class is back in session. Dossier #4 has been bifurcated. This first part, now unlocked for your listening pleasure & edification, is a solo segue back into the series, contending w/ some of the recent developments in the downfall of the House of Diddy: Dossier #4.A - Includes coverage of some of the recent developments in the Diddler's downfall, such as the grand jury indictment & a slew of additional lawsuit complaints that have been filed in recent weeks by plaintiffs like Thalia Graves & Michigan convict Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith, as well as Alfredo P. Gonzalez, an incarcerated Sinaloan cartel member that had his lawsuit demanding $666k (sus) in damages as compensation for the biz he lost after allegedly getting blacklisted in the streets of NYC once he refused to traffick "boys / girls" for the Diddler dismissed by the presiding judge (sadly)... Fellow convict Cardello-Smith was much luckier (himself in prison on sex crime & unrelated kidnapping charges), as he received an initial $100 mil default judgment in his favor as Diddy failed to show up for the court proceedings or file a responsive motion. In the solo intro, we also go pretty deep on illustrating the interlocking ties between Z i o n i s t powerbroking families the Lauders (Estée Lauder) and the Bronfmans (Seagrams & otherwise) which brings the Diddler's close proximity to the Epstein-affiliated Mega Group into full view... As well as Harvey Weinstein. Illustrating how all of these entries in Diddy's Rolodex intersect both in the corporeal sense at his lavish, salacious Sean John x Estée Lauder fragrance launch parties, but also on a shared ideological Z i o n i s t level. And then we also examine Diddy's appointment of defense lawyer Marc Agnifilo (past clients include sexual monsters like NXIVM leader Keith Raniere, Harvey Weinstein, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, & Martin Shkreli, among many others) from this perspective of his shared social circle that numbers many Lauders & Bronfmans, and which brings Diddy buddy Edgar Bronfman Jr.'s family's close ties to the human potential sex cult into the mix, and which seems like a very foreboding bellwether for the Diddler's legal prospects, as pretty much all of Agnifilo's high profile defenses of sexual criminals & otherwise have failed utterly. We also get some of Edgar Bronfman Jr's music industry career details on the board, including his stint as CEO of Warner Music Group, which led to Bad Boy becoming an imprint for about 4 years, before he sold the major to fellow Z i o n i s t Len Blavatnik (not to mention buddy of cinema sex pests Harvey Weinstein & Brett Ratner). We talk the Diddler's apparent distro of illicit rape tapes, which takes his filming & blackmail tendencies to new noided heights... This is explored via the Thalia Graves lawsuit and Diddy's relationship w/ Rhymes & Dimes porno publisher & former celebrity bodyguard Big Joe Sherman. We talk about the corruption & bribery scandal in NY, Mayor Adams indictment, & a seemingly unrelated Hudson Valley case that resulted in a Judge putting his gun in his mouth & pulling the trigger while in the midst of a firefight w/ feds... And then there's a ton more besides. Sean "Diddy" Combs Faces New Rape Allegations in Lawsuit Filed by Thalia Graves

Dark Side of Wikipedia | True Crime & Dark History

Play Episode Listen Later Sep 26, 2024 8:45

Another woman has come forward with serious allegations against music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, adding to his mounting legal troubles. In a lawsuit filed on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, Thalia Graves claims that Combs and his former bodyguard, Joseph Sherman, drugged, bound, and raped her in the summer of 2001. The alleged attack took place at the famed Bad Boy Records studio in New York. Graves, who was 25 at the time, had been dating a Bad Boy executive when the alleged assault occurred. She says that Combs used her relationship to lure her into a private meeting at his lounge, where she was given a drink, believed to be laced with drugs. According to the lawsuit, Graves briefly lost consciousness and awoke to find herself bound and restrained while the assault was taking place. In a press conference held alongside her attorney, Gloria Allred, Graves spoke about the lasting emotional toll of the alleged incident. “Some of the hardest parts of this pain are the shame and guilt I've experienced, which play a negative part in my daily ability to function,” Graves said, holding back tears. She also stated that she had been blamed and threatened since the attack, further isolating her and making her feel responsible for what happened. The lawsuit claims that Combs and Sherman not only raped Graves but also recorded the assault without her consent. Shockingly, the footage was later distributed as pornography. “I couldn't believe that they would record such a gruesome crime and then proudly share it with others,” Graves said. Graves also alleges that both men threatened her in the aftermath, warning that she could lose custody of her son if she ever disclosed the assault. "They had enormous power and could easily follow through on their threats," the lawsuit states. This case is just the latest in a series of legal troubles for Combs, who was arrested earlier this year on federal charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering. Federal authorities are currently investigating a broader criminal enterprise linked to the star, with some charges involving human trafficking. His properties in Miami and Los Angeles were recently raided by Homeland Security as part of an ongoing probe. Graves' lawsuit follows several other allegations of sexual misconduct against Combs, including a widely publicized case from his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. Ventura filed a lawsuit in 2023 accusing Combs of years of abuse, including beatings and rape, though the case was settled privately soon after. In the wake of these allegations, Combs remains in federal custody, awaiting trial. Graves expressed relief that Combs is behind bars but emphasized how challenging the legal process has been for her and others. “It's been an uphill battle, but I'm finally starting to feel like I have a voice,” she said. Combs' legal team has yet to issue a formal response to the new lawsuit, but they have consistently denied previous allegations of wrongdoing. The lawsuit adds another layer of complexity to Combs' mounting legal challenges, with more victims potentially coming forward. As the case continues, the public will be watching closely to see how these serious accusations impact the star's future in both the music industry and the courtroom. Sean "Diddy" Combs Faces New Rape Allegations in Lawsuit Filed by Thalia Graves

Alec Baldwin's Legal Team Prepares Lawsuit Against Santa Fe Sheriff and Prosecutor Over Withheld Evidence

Alec Baldwin's legal team has indicated plans to sue Santa Fe Sheriff Adan Mendoza and prosecutor Kari Morrissey after it was revealed they withheld critical evidence during Baldwin's trial for the on-set shooting death of “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. In preservation notices obtained by Rolling Stone, Baldwin's attorneys warned both Mendoza and Morrissey of “future litigation” due to their actions during the involuntary manslaughter trial. The notices require both parties to “preserve all relevant information” including “devices, hard drives, emails, text messages, and other electronic communications” related to the case. This encompasses “all communications between and among anyone at the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office, the First Judicial District Attorney's Office, and/or the Special Prosecutor's Office related to the Incident,” as well as all “documents, communications, and information referencing or relating to Mr. Baldwin.” The notices also caution that failure to comply could result in “serious consequences, including civil liability, court sanctions, and adverse evidentiary inferences in any subsequent proceeding.” In a surprising turn of events, Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer dismissed Baldwin's case, citing the Santa Fe Sheriff's Office and Morrissey's failure to disclose key evidence regarding the source of the live round that killed Hutchins on October 21, 2021. Hutchins was fatally shot while preparing for a scene inside the Bonanza Creek Ranch in New Mexico. Baldwin was practicing a cross draw with a pistol when it accidentally discharged, striking Hutchins fatally and injuring director Joel Souza. Baldwin, aged 66, along with the film's armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, faced involuntary manslaughter charges for the incident. Gutierrez-Reed, found guilty in a separate trial, was sentenced to 18 months in prison in March. Following the dismissal of Baldwin's case, her legal team is seeking to overturn her conviction, citing similar prosecutorial misconduct. In a motion filed Tuesday, attorney Jason Bowles asserted that substantial evidence, undisclosed before the trial, had come to light. Bowles has also requested that Gutierrez-Reed be released from prison and called for the removal of special prosecutor Kari Morrissey due to alleged misconduct. District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies has continued to support Morrissey despite these allegations. Though Baldwin's criminal charges have been dismissed, he is not entirely free of legal battles. Civil lawsuits from Hutchins' family remain pending. Gloria Allred, representing Hutchins' parents and sister, emphasized that the judge's decision to dismiss the case does not exonerate Baldwin. “The judge's decision is in no way, shape, or form an exoneration of him,” Allred stated. “It does not change the fact that Alec Baldwin killed Halyna Hutchins on the set of 'Rust.' He fired a loaded gun while pointing it at a human being.” At a press conference on Saturday, Allred reiterated her commitment to seeking justice for Hutchins, vowing “to fight to the end for Halyna Hutchins.” Despite the case dismissal, the ongoing civil litigation ensures that Baldwin remains entangled in the legal ramifications of the tragic shooting on the “Rust” film set. Why Focusing on Abusers Instead of Survivors Misses the Point

Survivors, not statistics: We start with the persistent and pernicious violence against women, and the lack of action and accountability to protect them. This week two more women accused rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs of sexual assault. This comes after CNN obtained sickening video of Combs attacking his girlfriend Cassie Ventura in 2016. Christiane speaks with a transatlantic panel of women: attorney Gloria Allred, along with Lejla Dauti and April Hernandez Castillo, who are both survivors and advocates.  Then, how journalists “operate in a disinformation ecosystem” is a “defining issue,” as the world heads into a wave of critical elections, says Columbia Journalism School Dean Jelani Cobb.  Meantime, Former US State Department Senior Advisor and historian Vali Nasr discusses the succession crisis in Iran after the sudden death of its president. “Moving towards the middle gives more room for the US to engage Iran,” he says.  From the Amanpour Archive this week: When ex-Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic became the first sitting head of state to be tried by an international criminal tribunal.   And, in our Letter from London, the best-selling Israeli author and historian Yuval Noah Harari asks whether the Middle East can ever escape the "Israeli-Palestinian trap."    Learn more about your ad choices.
