Shut Up & Laugh - Episode 38, Steve D'Amico ** WARNING, this podcast contains some mildly explicit language and/or humorous stories. This not a "Workplace Safe" broadcast on a speaker** Host Brian Trendler interviews a friend of his from 40+ years back, from the mean streets of Wickford, Rhode Island, Steve D'Amico. Not only were they childhood best friends, but little did they know that so many years later they'd reconnect to brand businesses, shop war stories (literally from his point of view) and realize that with the miracles of technology, social medias and video conferencing; really very little has changed since they were 10-year olds playing with Star Wars and GI-joe figures in their front yards. Steve's served in the military, has an inspiring and entrepreneurial story or two, loves his daughter fiercely and his wife even more, and while this podcast has some EXPLICIT MATERIAL that may not be suitable for a bluetooth speaker, it's filled with laughter, stories about resiliency, humor and joy. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/shutupandlaugh/message

Submission guidelines can be found at TallTaleTV.com ---- About Tall Tale TV ---- My name is Chris Herron, and I narrate audiobooks. In 2015, poor control of my diabetes left me legally blind for the better part of a year. The doctors predicted an 80% chance I would never see again, but I changed the way I was living and through sheer willpower beat the odds. During this time I couldn't read or write. Two things that I had been turning to for comfort since I was a small child. With the sheer amount of stress I was under, this was devastating. My wife took me by the arm, lead me into the local library, and read out titles of audiobooks to me. I chose the audiobook versions of books I had loved such as the Disc World series, Name of the Wind, Harry Potter, and more. They brought my favorite stories to life in ways I never thought possible and helped me through the darkest time of my life. Once my vision recovered, I maintained a love for audiobooks. I decided I would turn my focus from being a writer to becoming a narrator. I devised Tall Tale TV as a way to help out all the amazing authors in the writing communities I had come to love before my ordeal. I created Tall Tale TV to help aspiring authors by providing them with a promotional audiobook video. A way to showcase their skills with the written word. They say the strongest form of advertisement is word of mouth, so I provide a video to a platform of readers to help get people talking. Help them spread the word. oven y talentosa. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Jean D'Amico has spent nearly 20 years in the digital media industry. He has developed marketing programs with some of the biggest brands in the world like Coca-Cola, AT&T, Hilton, and Walmart. While advancing his successful sales and consulting career, Jean became disenfranchised with corporate life. He started to consume vast amounts of financial literacy advice, reading dozens of books about investing and retirement. At the same time, he began investing in residential real estate. Over a dozen years, Jean grew his portfolio and achieved financial independence. While chatting with friends and colleagues, he realized that most of his peers were similarly displeased with their paths up the corporate ladder and were looking for more. He began to consult on a freelance basis and realized there was tremendous demand for a company that could help bridge the theoretical with reality — hands-on, real-life help in rethinking passive income and escaping the rat race. FatFIRE Group was born with the goal of creating hundreds of financially independent clients living their best life. Book Recommendations: Multiple Streams of Income by Robert G. Ask around if there are any Texas rides in November to do and you just might hear the Tour das Hugel come up. I'm still not sure what year it began. So, let's just say it's been around awhile. Rob D'amico and Ali Sobhani came on to discuss this 110 mile iconic Texas ride's past, and how it's happening again this year. Is it 10,000 feet or 14,000 feet of climbing? Why do people do it? Why is there SPAM at some rest stops? These are important questions that are answered here. Stick around at the end to see who is named in Feats of Glory.
