What does it take to maintain a thriving marriage while navigating career changes, raising children, and making major life decisions together? In this heartfelt conversation, Rebekah and Gabe Lyons welcome their longtime friends Tim and Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who open up about their 23-year marriage journey. With Tim's background as an ESPN analyst and high school football coach, and Elisabeth's experience in television, the couple shares how they've learned to champion each other's dreams while creating a strong family foundation. The Hasselbecks discuss the delicate dance of supporting each other's callings through different seasons—from Tim's NFL career to Elisabeth's time on Survivor and in television. They reveal how parenting their three children has required flexibility, vulnerability, and creating a culture where "no topic is off limits." Tim and Elisabeth offer practical wisdom on building family unity through major transitions, balancing different parenting styles, and establishing the kind of trust that encourages children to turn toward their parents rather than away from them during challenging moments.Whether you're navigating career shifts, raising teens, or simply wanting to strengthen your "fight for us," this conversation offers inspiring insights on becoming each other's biggest fan and creating a family culture where everyone feels seen, known, and deeply loved.Order The Fight for Us:https://a.co/d/aJehu4fFree Gifts when You Order Now:Get Our Free Masterclass, Growth & Connection Toolkit, Emotional Health for Marriages Course and More at https://rebekahlyons.com/marriageTake the What's Your Dance Quiz:rebekahlyons.com/quiz

This week, we get to hear from one of my all-time favorite moms and leaders - Elisabeth Hasselbeck. She has worn many hats over the years - from Survivor contestant to co-host of The View to shoe designer to carpool mom and NFL wife and now author and speaker. In this episode, we get into specifics around how to trust God. And how to teach our kids to trust God in prayer even when he feels silent or absent. This idea can be really tough because we often don't get the answer we hope for in the big and small moments of life, and yet we want our kids to remain faithful in that disappointment. We also discuss the idea of “contenting” - an idea God is stirring in Elisabeth for us to learn how to be stretched and be content in the midst of life's struggles. As moms, it's so easy to compare left and right and lose sight that God is at work even in the stretching and growing phases of motherhood. Enjoy! Sally Jessy Raphael steps Behind The Rope. Icon in the Flesh. The first female host to have a syndicated daytime talk show. With her Iconic red glasses in tow, we chat with Sally about the full extent of her career. A career which began in radio and spanned several decades leaving a permanent mark and having created the landscape of daytime TV. Sally opens up about her best and worst guest, the topics she loved and did not love talking about, all of the celebrities she has interviewed, the cultural significance of being “the first" and just how much the industry has changed over the years. Speaking of being “the first”, we chat with Sally about some of the others she has paved the way for - Oprah (yes, we chat about the Meghan and Harry sit down), Ellen (yes, we chat about her mean girl reputation and the loss of 1 million viewers as a “supposed” result), Wendy Williams (and all she is going through), Drew Barrymore (newbie) Kelly Clarkson (is it an easy transition for actors and singers?), and last but certainly not least, Miss Bethenny Frankel (well, that was short lived.). Of course, we chat with Sally about The View - all the rumored back stage infighting, “Ladies Who Punch”, Barbara Walters, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Kelly & Ryan. Since we have an Icon in our presence, we discuss the late night talk show scene such as Daddy Andy Cohen's WWHL and Joan Rivers' infamous short lived stint. Remember we mentioned those iconic red glasses, we chat with Sally about the origins of her trademark look, how many pairs she actually has, does she ever go out incognito, and whether she ever tires of them. Download my free tool, 25 Ways to Protect Your Time, to learn how to say no with confidence. https://bit.ly/2Cdb9Ld Business Boutique ConferenceElisabeth Hasselbeck joins me this episode, and she'll also be speaking at our Business Boutique Conference! For tickets, go to https://bit.ly/3h7IW7a Is life balance possible? What does life balance even mean? Here's a hint: It's not about doing everything for an equal amount of time. In this episode, we'll cover what life balance really is and how to achieve it. Plus, I sit down with Elisabeth Hasselbeck to talk about what life balance looks like in different seasons. Then we'll spend some time journaling about how to balance your life in your current season. Why Your Life Never Feels Balanced I think we have a lot of really mixed up ideas about what life balance is. A lot of people think that life balance is doing everything for an equal amount of time-where work takes 50% of your time and home life is the other 50%. But that's not balance. Life balance is about doing the right thing at the right time and being 100% present where you are. And it's also something you have to define for yourself. Your version of life balance is the only version that matters because it's your life. It doesn't have to look like anyone else's. At the end of the day, what's most important is that you are spending your one life on what's most important to you. When you do that, you are creating and achieving your own version of life balance. What's Important in Your Life? with Elisabeth Hasselbeck Elisabeth Hasselbeck has such a cool story. She's been a cast member on Survivor. She's been a host on The View and Fox & Friends. She's a New York Times bestselling author. She's CBO (Chief Breakfast Officer) for her kids. And she has a lot of amazing wisdom on how to achieve life balance. In this episode, we'll talk about: Navigating life balance in different seasons Finding purpose and passion in everyday tasks Slowing down and focusing on the present Choosing peace over balance What Does Life Balance Mean to You? Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. - Colossians 3:23 (NIV) I've been through so many seasons in life that didn't feel balanced or purposeful. I'm willing to bet you've been there too. In hindsight, I can see a lot of things that God was doing. But in other seasons, I'm still not sure what the why was. All I know is this: It's up to you to treat your season as if it has purpose. Work at it with all your heart as if you are working for the Lord and not for men. Use these journal questions to think about how this applies to your life: What season are you in right now? What are some ways you can work through this season as if you're working for the Lord and not for others? What are some ways you can create a sense of balance, even if your world feels out of balance right now?
