Many people don't like AI because they feel it makes them worse at their jobs. There's a concern over skill atrophy that's eroding problem-solving skills and the ability to learn. People are now either pro-AI or anti-AI. Suzanne Somers' widower Alan Hamel has created an AI clone of his deceased wife. Some advertising agencies are asking to license people's voices, so they don't have to pay them moving forward! ChatGPT is now a shopping assistant.
Aaron McIntire breaks down Vice President J.D. Vance's unyielding stance on the left-wing radicalization behind the Charlie Kirk assassination, President Trump's designation of Antifa as a terrorist organization, and ABC's indefinite suspension of Jimmy Kimmel's show following inflammatory remarks. We are going to talk about shame today. Sometimes you might not even know you are doing it, but there is a lot of shaming in the running community. I am going to talk about how to release the shame, get away from the comparison trap and how to be aware of things we tend to shame ourselves for as runners and how it is not serving us. In this edition of Buh-Bye Mitch McTrendell, Jack and Bryan The Editor discuss Mitch McConnell (finally) stepping down, the "Carnivore Diet" (which, apparently, consists mostly of butter and cheese?), Oreo flooding the zone with new flavors, James Bond vs. Amazon, Mexico vs. US, Wendy's new collab with the Girls Scouts and much more!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Today we open with a suggestion to CNN to get Abby Phillip to take back the propaganda point that she used to shut down Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) regarding the wasteful allocation of nearly $50million dollars for condoms in Gaza. We have the receipts and it shows the payment ready to be sent had DOGE not stopped it. On the other hand, maybe we should let Legacy/mainstream media continue to lie, since it will only hasten their end. We then spend a lot of time on even more elements of USAID that have come to light since yesterday's show. One of the areas the Democrats are desperate to keep under wraps is just how far back we have been funding gain-of-function to create a coronavirus that can infect humans. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has been tasked as Acting Director to USAID while the DOGE team can work with them to assess what is still viable spending and what is not. While we discuss that, we hear from a USAID employee on their mad scramble to hide their woke/DEI accouterments when they heard DOGE was in the building. Outside of the building, Democrat lawmakers continually lied to the American people, including the Designated Liar himself, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD). Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) told those on the Left to “call someone who cares,” knowing that this is exactly what the people wanted when they voted for Donald Trump. Sen. Chuck “You” Schumer (D-NY) teased us with the idea that DOGE might go after the IRS next! Please, don't make threats you don't intend to keep! Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is certainly in the running for one of the dumbest representatives in the House. She took to her social media to tell us how unintelligent Elon Musk is. You cannot make this up if you tried! On a positive note, at least 1,000 EPA employees are being fired, 20,000 Federal employees have decided to resign and take the severance package and we will likely see 4000 more let go when Trump eliminates the Department of Education. We also get a win from Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum who is going to open up public lands for energy exploration and extraction. And, finally, it looks like RFK, Jr. was voted out of committee and will head to the full Senate for a final confirmation vote. Word is, Pam Bondi, Kash Patel and Tulsi Gabbard will follow suit. Doesn't winning feel great!

Christopher Wray leaves the FBI with a legacy of a politicized agency, which Pres.-elect Trump promises to clean up. Wray's resignation, plus the morning's breaking news on Hour 3 of the Bob Rose Show for Thursday 12-12-24
Donald Trump's win of the White House means his politically driven, politically motivated prosecutions, led in large part by bureaucrat Jack Smith, go up in smoke and disappear. And that's not just good news for Trump. That's good news for all Americans who've watched with rising alarm the absolute detestable way our justice and intel systems have been weaponized by Democrats against their political opponents. Don Brown, author of "Kangaroo Court," describes a time of utter tyranny in America that's now thankfully coming to an end.

Grab a Kleenex, it's Mitch's final episode as a regular and the ending is a real tear-jerker. Other highlights from this episode include convos about AI (who would have thought) and the struggle to stay optimistic as a content creator moving forward. We chat about the "Quiet on Set" documentary, our dream funeral (yeah, it's a thing), and our experience with making a commercial together this past week. I think this often, but THIS is truly an episode you won't want to miss if you're a fan of the pod - it's a real good time. We hope you enjoy! Big news broke yesterday while we were on the air - and I missed it! I didn't see that the Supreme Court finally announced their decision to hear TFG's appeal regarding his ridiculous claims of absolute immunity. So we'll deal with that at the start of the show - and really get into it on Friday's show when Marcy Wheeler is here. The other big news from yesterday was Mitch McConnell's announcement that he'll step down as Senate Minority Leader in November (but will remain in his senate seat). That's something we'll discuss with Howie Klein today. It's a really important issue when considering what candidates you vote for this year! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/nicolesandler/message

We made it to FOUR HUNDRED episodes. Whew. This week marks the 400th episode of Beer Guys Radio. Crazy. We've been pretty steady with the show since we launched in January 2016, and here it is 2024. Thanks for joining us for the ride.We open up with a little WTF action as Truly launched a Hot Wing Sauce Hard Seltzer "just in time" for the Super Bowl. Maybe it would pair well with our cellared Hormel Chili Cheese Beer?Just like everything else the average price for a case of craft beer is up, and I learned there are several categories of craft beer at retail, all the way up to Apex Craft.Bids are in for Anchor Brewing and it's expected a winner will be announced soon. The Anchor Union is still in the mix but no word on where they stand in the race.We share some thoughts on Dry January and hop water, now that it's all behind us, and thoughts on what breweries can do to keep people coming in during those challenging months. We definitely support giving your body a break, but we sure don't want to hurt our favorite bars and breweries. In related news, NA beer is the NA beverage of choice (next to NA wine and spirits) for Dry January. We take a little side venture into hot sauce chat, and about if listening to a book counts as reading a book.More closures. So many more closures. Buffalo Bayou Brewing got locked out of their building for non payment of rent. The CEO says he's trying to come back. We ponder the likelihood of that happening. You gotta have a bold strategy to pull off a Lazarus move.AB InBev continues to close down craft breweries it acquired. But it's keeping some of the brands alive at its other breweries. Let's see what they have left when it's all said and done. Finally, a shout out to our friends Jason and Leslie from Orpheus Brewing. They're having a going away party this weekend ahead of a move to Amsterdam where they'll start up a much smaller brewing operation, The Hollows. We wish them luck!Beers of the WeekScofflaw Juice Quest (Hazy IPA)Three Taverns Decatur 200 (Cold Pale Ale)Dogfish Head / Rodenbach - Crimson Cru (Red Ale, blend of Rodenbach Grand Cru and “an off-centered red ale” infused w/sumac & sweet orange peel.)Bearded Iris Pep Talk (Lager)Thanks for listening to Beer Guys Radio!
