After seeing the emotions Dan Campbell and his players had after Detroit's first win of the season, I wanted to talk with Coach Burk about the emotions and experience he had after his first win at SMU. Why? Because Coach Burk went through something similar with June Jones and the first big win at SMU together. At the time, SMU was in shambles, and Coach Burk was part of what Coach Jones did to build that foundation up from ground zero. Similar to what Coach Campbell is doing in Detroit. Episode 44 of Season 2 is another 'personal hero' episode and one we think you'll really enjoy! One of Kelly's personal heroes is actor Jim Caveziel, not just for his wonderful acting in films like FREQUENCY and THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST, but also for his principled stand against abortion and his work in promoting the horror of child sex trafficking in his upcoming movie, SOUND OF FREEDOM, opening in January 2022. Last month Mark successfully climbed and summited Mt. Everest, the highest mountain on earth. By doing so, he became the first NFL player in history to make it to the top of The Seven Summits, the highest mountains on each of the seven continents. In addition to being a former NFL football player and successful high altitude mountain climber, Mark is also an accomplished entrepreneur, philanthropist, podcaster, and executive at Sports Illustrated. He's a man who's lived an incredible life and a man with multiple missions. One of Mark's important missions is helping his daughter, Emilia, with successfully overcoming her own Everest by defeating epilepsy (uncontrolled and sometimes fatal seizures). Currently, more than 3.4 million people in the U.S. have epilepsy (1 in 26 people), with 3,000 people dying each year from Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP). In our live video interview, Mark will be sharing his Mt. Everest adventure.
