With the NFL combine now just a few days away, we thought it might be a good idea to throw out a few names we’re looking forward to watching and we think the Jets brass should be too. https://api.spreaker.com/v2/episodes/70201742/download.mp3 Of course there are the big names such as edge rushers David Bailey and Rueben Bain along with linebacker Arvell Reese and safety Caleb Downs. But who are some of the prospects who aren’t being mocked to the Jets by every pundit, fan or insider? Let’s take a look. QB Drew Allar, Penn State: Allar is a tough watch when you turn on the film. Sloppy mechanics lead to often wildy inconsistent play at quarterback. However, Frank Reich is said to be looking to land a tall QB who can work from the pocket which does describe Allar. If Reich believes he can fix what’s wrong with Allar, he may be a developmental QB the Jets target. QB Taylen Green, Arkansas: We loved Green coming in to this season as we anticipated another step forward in his growth, but like Allar, his consistency left plenty to be desired. Green’s footwork will often get sloppy and he tends to leave his feet when throwing the ball down the field for no apparent reason. But he’s a QB who has what both Reich and head coach Aaron Glenn covet at the postion. Reich wants a tall QB with a strong arm, while Glenn wants a QB who can beat you with his legs. Green can do both when he’s on. RB Emmett Johnson, Nebraska: With Breece Hall’s future up in the air and Braelon Allen coming off of a major injury, might the Jets look at a running back? If so, Johnson should be under consideration. His ability to fit through small holes while evading multiple defenders gives you a guy who can take the smallest crease and grab you 7 or 8 yards in a spot where most backs might give you 1 or 2. WR KC Concepcion, Texas A&M: Concepcion has struggled with drops over the course of his college career, but he also brings electric speed and versatility to the position. A guy who would serve primarily as a slot receiver, we’d be willing to bet Concepcion could be effective on the boundary as well. Expect Concepcion to test extremely well this week. WR Brenen Thompson, Ole Miss: Expected to be the fastest player in Indy, Thompson’s size will scare some team’s off as he’s currently listed at 5′ 9”, but his play making ability will get him plenty of attention. Adding Thompson to any offense will bring considerable juice. TE RJ Maryland, SMU: We loved Maryland’s game back in 2024 with SMU before he suffered a season-ending injury after seven games. He’s probably one of the bigger “under the radar” prospects who can boost his stock in Indy with a strong showing. OG Chase Bisontis, Texas A&M: Vega Ioane is a guy who should be at the top of the Jets options with pick sixteen, but if they pass in that spot and are still looking to add a guard, Bisontis in round 2 wouldn’t be a bad idea. Expect a solid showing on the bench press. C Logan Jones, Iowa: The Jets should be looking to upgrade at center with such a deep class and in all honesty, Jones would be our first choice. The Iowa product showed great movement on film over the past couple of seasons so we expect a solid showing for all 32 teams at the combine. His teammate Beau Stephens, a guard at Iowa, should be another option for the Jets in the middle rounds. DT Nick Barrett, South Carolina: The Jets will need to beef up their interior defensive line and Barrett is an powerful, explosive option. Very curious to see how he fares on the vertical and broad jumps along with bench press. Because many of us are familiar with the Resurrection story, it creates the risk of us becoming too familiar with the greatest moment in history. In this weeks's sermon, Pastor Sam explains the importance of what happened when Jesus got out of the grave and why it matters to us today.
On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran discusses several of the top and second tier defensive lineman prospects that Buffalo Bills fans should definitely start familiarizing themselves with before the NFL Draft a handful of weeks from now. There's several reasons the Bills will be picking defensive line early and perhaps often in this draft. Between the looming six game suspensions of new free agent signees Michael Hoehct and Larry Ogunjobi, the expected ease with snaps early on with Joey Bosa and the fact several prominent lineman are in the final year of their deals (Bosa, Ogunjobi, Daquan Jones, AJ Epenesa) there's both immediate and long term needs there.Patrick goes over a lot of the top prospects at both edge and defensive tackle. James Pearce Jr. feels like a guy he thinks fans should keep an eye on at edge and wonders if Brandon Beane has the guts to take a chance with Mike Green while he'd be tickled pink to see Buffalo take Derrick Harmon or Kenneth Grant at defensive tackle with their first pick.He also shares his thoughts on Christian Benford's new contract, the incredible in-house offseason has put together and comments from the Bills GM that makes it sound like James Cook get a contract extension anytime soon is extremely far fetched. That plus show mixups and plenty more.Major props to Talking Buffalo sponsor, Sonny Red's at 1841 Abbott Road in Lackawanna, just minutes from Highmark Stadium. We consider them THE most underrated spot for wings, pizza and other great food in Western New York plus it's a great place to drink and have a great time.♦♦♦♦♦Follow Patrick Moran/Talking Buffalo Podcast Substack: Patrick Moran's SubstackTwitter: @PatrickMoranTBBlue Sky: @PatrickMoranTB.bsky.socialInstagram: @PatrickMoranTBFacebook: Talking Buffalo Podcast

Clinton Sparks grew up tough in Boston, robbing houses and having numerous run-ins with the law... so his life today as a Grammy-nominated music producer, award-winning DJ, and entrepreneur was a surprise... even to him. He's a DJ, producer, and entrepreneur who has collaborated with icons like Lady Gaga, Pitbull, and Akon, and is known for discovering DJ Snake. So how did this Bostonian -- with no industry contacts -- take his childhood dreams of breaking into the music business and make them into a reality?"Get Familiar" is Clinton's tagline, a way in which he would encourage fans to "lean in and learn more" about the interesting artists whose careers he would help launch on the radio... so today, we turn that "get familiar" mentality back on Clinton himself. As one of the most well-loved, well-respected, and hugely successful people in the music industry, Clinton takes us through his journey to greatness and leaves us with some of the best in-your-face advice we've received on this show so far -- ideas on: 1) how to overcome imposter syndrome, 2) how to get out of your own way and smash limiting beliefs, 3) how to become well-liked in any industry, 4) how to stand out and get noticed, 5) and how to overcome the trauma of your past to stand in the light of your future.Plus you don't want to miss his epic behind-the-scenes stories... like how DJ Snake almost quit before his big break... or the drama behind his song with Lil Jon, “Turn Down for What” ... trust us, you won't want to miss this one!************Make sure to follow Jamie @jamiehess on Instagram for news & updates, and visit our companion Instagram account @gratitudeology for a sneak peek into the personal moments discussed on the show.************Thank you to Clinton Sparks for sharing your truth with us today. GET FAMILIAR WITH IN-HOUSE DISEASE TESTING FROM THE FEBRUARY 2024 ISSUE OF GROWERTALKS MAGAZINE WRITTEN BY NICK FLAX NARRATED BY BILL CALKINS EXCERPT: Since the naked eye cannot see bacteria or viral particles, test kits are really the only way to home in on exactly which pathogen you're dealing with. The alternative is to send plant samples off to a lab equipped with similar, higher -resolution diagnostic tools, but this can be time-consuming and costly, depending on the lab. In the meantime, while you wait to hear testing results, the pathogen could be spreading further through your crops and cause more damage because you weren't able to react sooner. If you had a test kit on-hand, however, this would give you a much better idea of how to appropriately manage your disease risk when you first saw symptoms and potentially head it off sooner. THE 3 LAW PHILOSOPHY TO SUCCESS according to David Meltzer “Have goals, but I always end up somewhere better than the goals I set for myself.” - David Meltzer So many people that aim for success aren't prepared for the let downs or the knock downs. Many don't survive the tornado to success like David Meltzer has. He's made it, lost it, made it, lost it, made it, and then dedicated his life to helping and teaching others how to avoid the mistakes he has. When your goal to make a billion people happy is your focus, there is no losing because even if you never hit that goal, you still improved on millions. It's just like the adage, if you shoot for the moon and miss, you'll still be amongst the stars. David Meltzer is a shining star that you should follow, as he will lead you to your happiness and success. Listen to this powerful conversation with me and the guy who ran the sports agency from the Jerry Maguire movie, as I like to refer to him as. It's one of my all time favorite movies. If you watch the movie, you will see where I learned a lot of how to be a good person, treat people well and care more about doing right and good than making tons of money. Watch or listen now.
