He now lives in Los Angeles, he is a veteran at the Montreal Just for laughs festival, He performed on the late show with David letterman and also Jay Leno, He worked with Jon Stewart, he performed comedy all around the world,He did performed in some movies as well. I mean his resume is so long it would need several pages just to go through all of it . Lars Callieou is returning on the podcast, you know him already. He is a comedian from Edmonton touring the world with his act and now, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he performs in what he calls the "Fire pit comedy tour". If you don't know what it is, just listen to the podcast, Lars talks about it. Jeremy and Lars talked deeply about being a comedian, how Jeremy got a picture with Jerry Lewis and why TV in Canada sucks. Great fun with these guys. We hope you'll like it. This episode is sponsored by the novel Don't Find Roger about a snarky PI who more lucky than good. If you like mystery novels with a dash of brashness, this is for you.
In our unlucky # 13 episode, Fraser and Scott have the bad luck to endure Speed: Cruise Control, possibly the most unnecessary sequel of all time. Along the way they offend a Canadian Icon, shout-out to comedian Jeremy Hotz and explore ornithological sexual orientation. If you are easily offended, be aware of the swears. A Barrie Uncovered podcast production.
Jeremy Hotz has been miserable on-stage for 30 years, and miserable off-stage for his whole life. But boy is that misery funny. Hotz, who's been living in LA the last 23 years, is one of Canada's best standup comics. In this episode, we talk about being a curmudgeon, murder, and Ernest Shackleton.
Jeremy Hotz co-starred on The Newsroom, which he left for a role in Speed 2: Cruise Control. He has done numerous stand-up specials and has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. His latest special is called Dangerously Handsome and he is here to talk about it all with me, via Zoom. He is a living comedy legend, so respectfully listen quietly in the comfort of your own brain. This episode is brought to you by The Patron Saints of Denny's Men's Rooms.

Shortly before Jeremy Hotz began his cross-Canada tour, Paul Little spoke with the comedian and actor about the place he is in his career, the significance of The Newsroom, his upcoming work on Call Me Fitz, and some interesting encounters he's had recently at The Laugh Factory. Unfortunately, as the interview intro will explain, there were some audio issues which made the first couple minutes of the interview unusable, so it kind of picks up partway through a question about getting the odd bit of negative reaction from an audience.
