Daily Soap Opera Spoilers by Soap Dirt (GH, Y&R, B&B, and DOOL)
Click to Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Youtube-Subscribe-SoapDirt Bold and the Beautiful on CBS saw several shocking departures that sent shockwaves through the fan base. Hunter Tylo, who portrayed Dr. Taylor Hayes, exited the soap under controversial circumstances. She recently revealed some shocking tidbits about her own exit and that of Susan Flannery, who portrayed Stephanie Forrester. Tylo first left the show in 1996 after landing a role on Melrose Place but was fired due to her pregnancy. After a successful lawsuit, she returned to Bold and the Beautiful, only to leave again in 2002 and 2008 due to personal reasons. She finally walked away in 2013 due to creative differences, resulting in her character being recast with Krista Allen in 2021. Bold and the Beautiful saw that Allen, however, didn't find her tenure on the soap easy either, stating that the stressful production environment and personal attacks due to the Brooke-Taylor rivalry negatively impacted her health. She was ultimately replaced by Rebecca Budig. B&B saw Ron Moss, who portrayed Rich Forrester, also exited the show in a surprising turn of events. According to Moss, his decision to leave was influenced by signs from the universe, including a near-death experience and a stopped clock in his dressing room. His departure led to Thorsten Kaye stepping into the role of Ridge. Bold and the Beautiful saw Winsor Harmon's departure from his role as Thorne Forrester was equally shocking, as he was reportedly blindsided by the decision to recast his character. Finally, Jacob Young exited his role as Rick Forrester due to frustration with lack of screen time and consistency. This episode was hosted by Belynda Gates-Turner for Soap Dirt. The Washington Nationals are seeing their young arms step up in a big way. Cade Cavalli bounced back with one of his strongest starts yet, while rookie Andrew Alvarez made history by throwing five scoreless innings in his MLB debut. With James Wood, Daylen Lile, Riley Adams, and Jacob Young all contributing at the plate, the Nationals showed flashes of the balanced lineup and pitching depth fans have been waiting for. Off the field, the Nationals made moves behind the plate, signing veteran catcher Jorge Alfaro while optioning C.J. Stubbs back to Triple-A. Stubbs may be heading down, but his debut — catching a shutout and getting ejected in the same game — won't be forgotten. With Keibert Ruiz on the rehab trail and MacKenzie Gore cleared to throw, the Washington Nationals are finding ways to stay competitive while showcasing the future of the franchise.
The Washington Nationals snapped a rough stretch with a 3-2 win over the Phillies, powered by the return of Dylan Crews. After nearly three months on the injured list with an oblique strain, Crews wasted no time making an impact, ripping a single in his first at-bat, stealing second base, drawing a walk, and flashing elite defense with a diving catch in right field. His energy helped spark a young lineup, while José Tena delivered the go-ahead two-run single in the seventh inning. Brad Lord pitched six solid innings, and Cole Henry capped it off with his first career save, striking out Trea Turner to strand the tying run at third — a big moment after his long recovery from thoracic outlet syndrome. Off the field, the Nationals made a bold move by designating Nathaniel Lowe for assignment. The offseason acquisition struggled to a .216 average and -0.7 WAR, making his $10.3 million salary hard to justify. The decision clears playing time for a crowded young outfield headlined by Crews and James Wood, with Robert Hassell III, Daylen Lile, and Jacob Young competing for one remaining spot. As interim manager Miguel Cairo put it, the team is leaning into its youth and leadership potential as they look to finish strong and embrace the spoiler role against contenders down the stretch.

The Nats had another 9th inning rally that came up short in Saturday afternoon's 4-3 loss to the Marlins. Mark & Al have a lot to react to after the 7th consecutive defeat and give blunt assessments on the State of the Rebuild.(11:45) Davey Martinez made an empassioned plea about his coaching staff in his postgame press conference. Martinez made news by saying "It's never on the coaches" in response to a question by the Washington Post. Did Davey throw his players "under the bus" within his postgame comments?(21:00) Mark asked veteran Josh Bell for his response to the comments by Martinez. The hosts examine his answer that seemed to not include a direct show of support.(25:00) Washington trailed 4-1 entering the bottom of the 9th and came 90 feet shy of tying the game. Jacob Young was brought in as a pinch-runner, but questionably did not tag from 3rd on Amed Rosario's flyout to LF. Important to keep in mind that James Wood was on-deck in the situation.(31:10) Trevor Williams had a solid outing and allowed only a pair of Miami runs. Williams has made 14 starts this season and his ERA sits at 5.71.(33:40) Luis Garcia Jr. made a crucial error in the top of the 8th when he dropped a seemingly routine fly ball. His poor defense this season is put under the microscope as he ranks among the worst 2Bs thus far.(39:30) MacKenzie Gore takes the mound on Father's Day afternoon to try and end the team's skid. Gore currently trails only Boston's Garrett Crochet for the most strikeouts in MLB.
The Nats blanked the visiting Rangers 2-0 on Friday night in the quickest game in stadium history. Mark & Al begin with a familiar name as Patrick Corbin returned to D.C. and only allowed a pair of runs in eight innings of work. Corbin needed just 89 pitches and the last time he tossed eight innings was May 4th, 2022 in Colorado.(4:15) The official scorer determined the game length as 1 hour, 50 minutes and Mark feels that it should be one minute shorter. The official start time was 6:45PM and Mark says the final out came at 8:34PM. The official time ties the fastest game in franchise history as opposed to it being the stand-alone record.(14:35) Jacob Young singled in his return to the lineup and Daylen Lile was sent back to AAA to make roster space. Lile hit .194 in 31 at-bats in his brief stint in Washington.(18:20) Michael Soroka ended his outing well unlike previous ones as he struck out seven Rangers in six scoreless innings of work.(22:45) Brad Lord tossed another scoreless inning in a high leverage spot in the top of the 7th. Kyle Finnegan notched his 18th save of the season; which is tied for the 2nd most in all of MLB.(25:40) An update on Josiah Gray, who had surgery last summer. Gray only made two starts season and his last appearance on the mound came on April 4th, 2024.(31:00) Arizona Ace Corbin Burnes will need "Tommy John" surgery after injuring his elbow last weekend vs. the Nats. Burnes is in his first year of a six year/ $210 Million contract.
Episode 183, FULL SHOW -- Despite the series loss to the San Francisco Giants over the weekend, the Nationals pitching staff impressed over the weekend, with 3 quality starts and solid performances out of the bullpen. Grant Paulsen & Tobi Altizer breakdown the weekend that was, which featured 8 shutout innings from Jake Irvin, a surprising hot streak from a young arm in the bullpen, and more; Following the Major League debut of Robert Hassell III on Thursday, his former teammate at Rochester, OF Daylen Lile made his Major League debut on Friday. Grant & Tobi breakdown the expectations for Lile, plus look at scenarios of what happens when Dylan Crews and Jacob Young return from their injuries; With Daylen Lile's arrival to the Major Leagues, we wanted to throwback to our interview with Daylen Lile back in West Palm Beach when Bustin' Loose Baseball visited Nationals Spring Training. The Nats five game win streak was snapped in Friday night's 4-0 loss to the visiting Giants. Mark & Al focus on MacKenzie Gore's status as he exited in the middle of an at- bat in the top of the 7th. Davey Martinez said afterwards that Gore is fine and it simply was a "Charley Horse" from a comebacker that Gore fielded in the bottom of the 2nd.(07:00) Gore struck out nine Giants to extend his MLB lead to 93Ks on the season. The only run charged to the lefty was the leadoff batter in the top of the 7th, who came across the plate after Gore had left the mound. Gore was much more pitch efficient on Friday night as he was at 83 pitches through six innings of work.(13:35) Daylen Lile singled on the first pitch he saw as he hit 9th and played RF in his MLB debut. Lile was called up from Rochester due Jacob Young being placed on the 10-day IL with a sprained left shoulder. Lile spent April in AA-Harrisburg and immediately made an impact when given the opportunity in AAA.(23:10) The offense could not get anything going as CJ Abrams & James Wood combined for an 0 for 8 effort. Luis Garcia Jr. was the only Nat to collect two hits against San Francisco's Landon Roupp and crew.(25:40) Four relievers were needed and none excelled. Zach Brzykcy allowed a pair of runs in an inning of work and his ERA is up to 11.12 in seven Big League appearances.
The Nats won their 5th straight on Thursday night as they outlasted the Braves 8-7 in extra innings. Mark & Al focus on the completely flipped script for the Nationals in the past week; as they recently had lost seven games in a row. Amed Rosario was the 10th inning hero as his pinch-hit RBI single ended the affair.(07:20) Robert Hassell III had quite the MLB debut as he singled in his first at bat, stole a base, collected two hits, and scored the winning run on Rosario's RBI single. Hassell got the nod in CF and hit 7th in the lineup.(10:00) Dylan Crews is on the IL due to an oblique injury; not a back issue. Jacob Young did not play on Thursday and it is unclear if too might be headed to the IL as he has not played since crashing into the Camden Yards wall on Saturday.(16:00) James Wood' big game was overshadowed, but nonetheless impressive as he reached base four times. Wood' big hit of the night came in the bottom of the 2nd on his 3-run double to take a 5-2 lead.(17:10) Keibert Ruiz had a big eveningin front of his parents, who saw him play in person for the first time in his professional career. Ruiz's family traveled to D.C. from his native Venezuela for the occasion.(20:00) The bullpen mostly came through in their heavy workload on Thursday night. Six relievers were needed to toss over six frames and only allowed two runs in the process. Kyle Finnegan though did blow the save in the top of the 9th, but in his defense Jose Tena committed a crucial error to extend the game.(28:10) Trevor Williams had another poor start as he was yanked in the 4th inning. Williams was charged with five runs allowed and his ERA is now up to 6.39. Will he get moved out of the starting rotation?

Grant & Tobi highlight some of the best performances from the two-game set as they look toward finishing their homestand strong when the Giants come to town; We throw back to our interview with Robert Hassell III from Spring Training, where he established himself as a player to watch out for in 2025 with a hot start to his 2025 campaign. The Nats won their 4th straight on Tuesday night as they topped the visiting Braves 5-3. Al & Mark have a lot to get to as Dylan Crews homered in the victory, but was removed mid-game because of a back issue, and that means Robert Hassell III is getting called up from AAA-Rochester. Hassell is one of the pieces from the 2022 Juan Soto trade with the San Diego Padres.(05:50) Jacob Young did not play for a second straight game due to crashing his shoulder into the Camden Yards' wall on Saturday. It is unclear if Young or Crews will be headed to the IL, and that likely will be decided after Crews' MRI on Wednesday morning.(10:00) Hassell's OPS is at .742 this season with four homers. He had a pair of doubles on Tuesday night in Syracuse prior to getting informed that he is headed to Washington.(14:30) The Nats offense continued their recent string of hot starts by scoring three runs right away against Atlanta's Spencer Strider. They totaled eight hits in the win, but also had multiple terrible base running mistakes.(18:10) Mitchell Parker's outing was marred by a bad top of the 2nd where he gave up all three of his runs. It was the 5th consecutive Parker start that was not classified as "good".(20:15) The bullpen teamed up for nearly four scoreless innings. Kyle Finnegan punctuated the effort with a clean 1-2-3 inning for his 15th save of the year, which leads all of MLB.(26:10) Per the Washington Post, the team's Chief Revenue Officer and the Chief Marketing Officer left their positions earlier this month. What does that mean in the bigger picture or isolated personnel moves?
The Washington Nationals pulled off a solid 5-3 win against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night, building on their momentum from the weekend. James Wood continued his hot streak at the plate, Mitchell Parker rebounded from early trouble on the mound, and Kyle Finnegan notched his MLB-leading 15th save. But the victory came with concern, as Dylan Crews exited early after re-aggravating a left-side back injury that's lingered since the last series against Atlanta. With Crews undergoing an MRI and Jacob Young dealing with a shoulder issue, the Nats may be down two outfielders. In response, the Nationals have promoted outfield prospect Robert Hassell III to the big leagues. Once a top draft pick and a centerpiece of the Juan Soto trade, Hassell has had a tough road — including a hamate injury that derailed his 2023 season. After a slow start in Triple-A this year, he's caught fire in May, hitting .365 with a 1.006 OPS. Known for his defense and pure hitting ability, Hassell now gets his long-awaited shot in the majors. With the team inching closer to third place in the NL East, his arrival adds another exciting chapter to Washington's youth movement.
The Nats immediately jumped out to a 6-0 edge on their way to Saturday's 10-6 victory at Camden Yards. Mark (From Baltimore) & Al convene after the Nationals third win in the past four days and their 2nd in a row at the Orioles. (04:30) Jacob Young crashed into the wall in the 7th and exited the game. X-rays were negative and it seems like no major injury was incurred. (08:00) Washington dominated Kyle Gibson in the opening inning by batting around and scoring six runs. The first out did not come until the 7th hitter and Young concluded the hit parade with a RBI triple. (12:20) Keibert Ruiz had a pair of hits, including a RBI double. Ruiz's OPS is .700 and is playing better defense than last season. (15:45) Despite entering the bottom of the 9th with a 10-2 lead, Kyle Finnegan had to warm up while Zach Brzykcy mightily struggled to get the final three outs. (18:15) Update on Derek Law, who has been on the IL all season due to right forearm inflammation. (22:00) Jake Irvin gave up five hits and allowed two runs in just over six innings of work. Irvin's ERA currently sits at 3.88, but Al notes the continuing trend of his declining velocity. (26:30) Brandon Hyde was fired as Orioles Manager on Saturday morning as they are in last place. Hyde & Davey Martinez worked together for years in Chicago, including when the Cubs won the 2016 World Series. Hyde took over in Baltimore; one season after Martinez came to D.C.
The Nats ended their three game skid with dominant pitching in Tuesday night's 3-0 victory in Pittsburgh. Mark (From PNC Park) & Al have plenty of praise for Jake Irvin, who lasted seven frames and only allowed three hits. This was Irvin's 4th outing of the season and by far his best. (07:00) Following a pregame meeting, the bullpen responded with two scoreless innings by Jose A.Ferrar & Kyle Finnegan. Finnegan is 6 for 6 in save opportunities and trails only San Diego's Robert Suarez for the league lead. (12:45) James Wood led the game off with a towering 445 foot home run. Wood has six homers already this season and is tied for the 2nd most in the majors, trailing Tyler Soderstorm of the Athletics who has hit eight home runs. (17:00) Dylan Crews went 1 for 3 while hitting 7th and playing RF. Alex Call was the odd man out of the lineup as Jacob Young got the nod in CF. (22:05) Nasim Nunez continued to do a solid job filling in for the injured CJ Abrams at SS. Nunez gave Washington insurance with a 2-run single in the top of the 6th at the end of a 10 pitch plate appearance. (24:30) Paul DeJong exited the game early after getting hit in the face during an at-bat. He was sent for a CT scan and it is unclear whether or not he is headed to the IL. (28:00) A quick update on Andres Chaparo, who was placed on the IL the day before Opening Day due to an oblique strain. (31:45) Josh Whetzel, the Voice of the Rochester Red Wings, provides an update from the Nats AAA affiliate.
The Nats have now won three in a row after defeating the defending World Series champion Dodgers 6-4 on Monday night in Navy Yard. Mark & Al discuss MacKenzie Gore's solid outing where he only allowed a pair of runs in six innings of work. Those two LA runs came off of a Shohei Ohtani 2-run HR, part of his evening where he was a double shy from the cycle.(10:00) Kyle Finnegan not only got the save, but took care of the final five outs. He has recorded the final out in three consecutive days and in all likelihood will be unavailable on Tuesday.(17:10) James Wood homered for the first time this season to put Washington ahead 5-2. Wood was removed in the top of the 9th for defensive purposes by Jacob Young even though Wood was on deck if the Dodgers forced a bottom of the 9th.(22:10) Keibert Ruiz had a RBI double to extend the lead to 6-2. Ruiz's strong start to the season continues as his OPS is currently at .981.(25:00) There were more instances of runners getting thrown out on base and three Nats have been tagged out at home in the past two days. This has an ongoing issue over the past few seasons.(30:30) Brad Lord will start for the injury plagued pitching staff on Tuesday and Jackson Rutledge will likely come into relieve him. Lord was a starter in the minors and transitioned to a reliever during Spring Training. This is a chain reaction to Michael Soroka getting placed on the IL shortly after DJ Herz did as well.(36:20) Josh Whetzel, the Voice of the AAA-Rochester Red Wings, provides an update on Brady House, Robert Hassell III, Darren Baker, and more.
The Nats were swept in Toronto and dropped the finale 4-2 on Wednesday afternoon. Mark & Al start with the top of the 9th where a late Nationals rally was stymied by pinch- runner Jacob Young getting thrown out trying to steal 2nd base. (11:20) Dylan Crews hit 9th on Wednesday and Amed Rosario was slotted 2nd. Crews continued his awful offensive start to the season as he is now 0 for 18. However, Crews made multiple excellent defensive plays in CF, showing that he can hang in there when not swinging the bat well. (17:05) MacKenzie Gore did not continue his Opening Day momentum as he allowed nine hits in just five innings. Gore's 95 pitches resurrected the fact that he has struggled with pitch efficiency in his career. (23:10) The bullpen had a solid day and Brad Lord made yet another appearance. Orlando Ribalta was the real bright spot as he tossed two scoreless frames. (29:30) Mark relays the vibe in the clubhouse after the 1-5 start. (33:30) Tim Shovers interviews author & veteran Will Bardenwerper about his new book "Homestand: Small Town Baseball and the Fight for Soul of America"
The Nats bullpen let them down on their way to a season opening 7-3 loss in extra innings vs. the visiting Phillies. Mark & Al start with a major positive for Washington as MacKenzie Gore set a franchise Opening Day record with 13 strikeouts. Gore was fantastic as he did not issue any walks and only gave up one hit.(10:30) Keibert Ruiz homered off of Zack Wheeler and threw out a runner trying to steal 2nd base. Davey Martinez mentioned pregame that Ruiz lost weight in the offseason and he was pleased with his Spring.(17:00) Jacob Young was caught stealing despite James Wood at the plate with a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 6th inning.(21:15) Opening Day was not a good one for the Nationals bullpen as five relievers combined to allow seven runs in just four innings of work. Colin Poche really struggled in his first outing with the Nats as he gave up four Philadelphia runs in the top of the 10th to put the game out of reach.(27:45) Derek Law will begin the season the 15-Day IL due to right forearm inflammation. Mark explains what led to him not being ready to pitch for Washington on Opening Day.(32:00) The Nationals were dealt bad news this week as DJ Herz was added to the 60-Day IL and is getting a 2nd opinion on his sprained elbow ligament that could lead to Tommy John surgery. Al notes that this continues a troubling pattern of a pitcher getting a significant injury at some point in Spring Training.

On September 13, 1868, the bodies of Jacob and Nancy Young were discovered brutally murdered along the bank of the White River in Cold Spring, Indiana. Police would eventually set their sights on a charming and fascinating confidence woman named Nancy Clem, who happened to be involved in some extremely shady business dealings with Jacob Young at the time. My guest is Wendy Gamber, author of "The Notorious Mrs. Clem: Murder and Money in the Gilded Age". She tells us all about the colorful Nancy Clem, the Cold Spring murder case, and shares theories on how and why the murders might have really happened. Hour 1: Bobby Wagner may be the most well rounded player on the Commanders in years / The Commanders are releasing Jon Allen / Nationals CF Jacob Young talks about how the Nats spring training is going / Follow up on the interview with Jacob Young in the previous segment
March has arrived and Opening Day is just a few weeks away. Mark & Al focus on key parts of the roster in the lead to March 27th vs. the Phillies. Jacob Young is an odd spot in 2025 as even though he came within an eyelash of winning the Gold Glove last season, the crowded outfield depth is making it so that he has to prove himself again that he is worthy of being an everyday CFer. (10:00) Mike Rizzo said this week that this is the deepest pitching staff in organization history and even doubled down on the claim. (16:10) Jarlin Susana, the 20 year-old pitching prospect that was acquired in the Juan Soto trade, was sent to minor league camp despite registering 100+ MPH on the radar. (18:45) Caleb Lomavita, the catching prospect drafted at 39th overall last summer, in his first Spring Training. How much pressure will he put on Keibert Ruiz? (28:00) The hosts look at the potential top of the lineup for the Nationals. Will James Wood definitely hit 3rd or could he start the season in the cleanup spot? (31:30) Could Ahmed Rosario start over Luis Garcia Jr. when a lefty is on the mound? (34:05) Stone Garrett cleared outright waivers and has been to AAA-Richmond. Garrett was DFA'd in order to make room for Kyle Finnegan last week.

When asked about the Hare Krishnas, most people will conjure images of dancing, chanting people with colourful robes and joyful dispositions. Members of the general public, whom Hare Krishnas refer to as 'karmis', may have encountered devotees through their vegetarian food offerings at music festivals or city restaurants. Their anti-LGBTQI+ and patriarchal beliefs, as well as the darker aspects of their history – including horrifying stories of abuse, and even murders – come as a surprise to many.Full research sources listed here. This week, we meet stunt drag performer Jacob Young, AKA Penny Quinn, who'll perform at the Queens Drag Show at Cain's Ballroom on 2/15! We check out trailers for “The Last Showgirl” and “Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man.” Then, it's Spotify and Gwyneth Paltrow, Idle hands and permanent murder, rock band or Irish prayer, and wondering just how racist is George Lucas…
The Nats lost 7-6 on Thursday night in Chicago for their 4th consecutive defeat. Mark (From Wrigley Field) & Al react to Washington falling to 17 games below .500 for the first time this season. (05:00) CJ Abrams had a magnificent game as he had four hits, two of which were doubles, and a pair of stolen bases. (12:45) Darren Baker got his first career start at a stadium that he grew up at and he responded with a trio of hits. Baker sang "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" at The Friendly Confines when he was a four year old child when his dad was the Cubs Skipper. (16:05) Jacob Young was thrown out trying to steal 2nd Base and exited early due to a shoulder injury. Young was replaced in the lineup by Joey Gallo, who later connected with a three-run homer. (23:20) Patrick Corbin took the loss in what will likely be his second to last start in a Nationals uniform. Corbin has a slew of statistics that show he is yet again one of the worst starting pitchers in Baseball. (33:00) Josh Whetzel, the Voice of the Rochester Red Wings, gives an update on the AAA team in their final week of play. Hear the latest on players such as Brady House, Trey Lipscomb, and Robert Hassell III. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
The Nats lost to the Marlins for the first time this season on Wednesday evening. Al & Tim recap the 4-3 loss that ended on a walk-off Miami single by Xavier Edwards in the bottom of the 10th. Washington's bullpen could not hang onto the 3-2 lead they inherited in the 8th inning and they allowed three runs in nearly four innings of work. (08:00) MacKenzie Gore was dominant and took a Perfect Game bid into the 6th. Gore struck out nine Marlins and only issued one walk in the outing. This is Gore's third consecutive solid start after he hit a rough patch over the summer. (14:30) All the Nationals run came in the top of the 8th and the highlight was James Wood's go-ahead RBI double. (18:00) Who is the 2024 team MVP? Luis Garcia Jr.? Jacob Young? Someone else? (21:45) Dylan Crews drew a pair of walks while hitting leadoff and meanwhile CJ Abrams went hit-less from the 7th spot in the order. Abrams has been really scuffling lately and it seems like Crews might be new leadoff man. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
The Nats started their road trip on the right note with a 6-2 victory in Miami on Tuesday night. Mark & Al open with Keibert Ruiz, who was a triple shy of the cycle in the win. Ruiz hit his 13th homer of the season in the top of the 6th to give Washington a four run lead. (12:00) Jacob Young reached base four times and he has raised his OPS by 54 points in less than a month. (19:15) Joey Gallo slugged a 3-run HR to put the Nationals on top 4-0. It was Gallo's first time going deep since June 3rd and was only his 6th of the season. (25:00) Patrick Corbin continued to pitch well for the 3rd consecutive outing and struck out 8 Marlins in the process. Will Corbin extend his career into 2025? (35:15) Cade Cavalli threw off a mound on Tuesday in Miami but it sounds like he likely won't return to the mound this season. The hope seems to be that he will be ready for Spring Training and his only appearance in the majors thus far came in August of 2022. Learn more about your ad choices. Inspired by Daulton Varsho, Jeff Erickson and Fred Zinkie review which players are better in real life than fantasy, and which players are better in fantasy in real life, and try to find some underlying trends. --- 00:00 - Fred Pod 9-2 01:00 - Daulton Varsho comment from Sunday night. 02:15 - Varsho isn't a good real-life hitter, but he's been decent for fantasy this year ($8) and hit .281 with 18 runs and four homers in August. 04:50 - Players who were better in real life than fantasy this year. 05:00 - Bryce Harper. 11th in OPS but just a $22 player. He will hit 30 homers, but without many steals and his batting average is more good than great. 10:00 - Freddie Freeman. 14th in OPS but a $20 player. He may not reach 25 homers or 10 steals. Hitting .285, which is fine but not special. 17:00 - Riley Greene. 20th in OPS. But hitting .259 with 20 homers and 4 steals. Missed a bit of time, but his R/RBI aren't great either. An $11 player. 22:15 - Popular opinion is that J.D. Martinez has been very good for the Mets. It's true. He has a .777 OPS. But he has generated just $4 in fantasy. Just 16 HR, 0 SB, 108 R+RBI. 29:00 - Orioles talk - Jackson Holliday, Coby Mayo 32:00 - Better in fantasy than real life. 32:20 - Maikel Garcia is second last in OPS. Has generated $17 in fantasy. The 33 steals and 83 runs scored are pretty awesome. 35:15 - Jacob Young is a poor man's version of Garcia. Eighth worst OPS but a $9 player thanks to hitting .258 with 31 steals and 69 runs. He's one of baseball's worst hitters but is helping fantasy teams in 3/5 categories. 38:35 - Zack Gelof has the 4th worst OBP of any qualified player. He also has 16 HR and 20 SB. A $4 player so far. 42:30 - Christopher Morel is batting .196 while somehow generating $3 in fantasy value. That's what 21 homers and 8 steals will do for you. 44:25 - Brice Turang has sunk to 13th worst in OPS but has generated $18 in fantasy production thanks to seven homers and 40 steals. Almost as valuable as Freeman. 46:15: - Firing up Julio Rodriguez, who's next? 47:00: - Alexis Diaz 52:25 - Good News for the Padres: Yu Darvish may return Wednesday; Joe Musgrove had a great start against the Tigers; Tatis is back. --- Pick6 Download the new DraftKings Pick Six app and use code RWPICKS.
