On 19 July 2025, China began construction on a 60,000-megawatt hydropower project at Medog, with three times the output of Three Gorges and roughly the UK's entire annual power production. This is a 1.2-trillion-yuan investment (USD 170 B) that Beijing frames as clean energy and development. It is located in southeast Tibert, and only 30km upstream of India. Delhi hears strategic risk. Great leaders pour themselves into serving others, sometimes until they burn out. But if you want lasting impact, understand that it requires balance. When service comes without self-care, burnout follows. And when self-care comes without service, your leadership's meaning fades. That's why the key is learning to hold both, so you can thrive while helping others flourish. In this episode, Ashish Kothari and Dr. Tenzin Dadul explore how leaders can build a flourishing life by aligning service with self-care, gratitude, and continuous growth.Dr. Tenzin Dadul is a Clinical Associate Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology and Director of Educational Research at the University of Detroit Mercy. He is also the founder of "Wild Flower," a mission-driven organization that, since around 2009, has provided free medical, dental, and cancer care and educational support to underprivileged children and Himalayan refugee communities. In 2022, he was awarded the Agere ex Missione Award by Detroit Mercy for his outstanding service and other honors from institutions in the U.S. and abroad. His story is a powerful reminder that true leadership and flourishing begin when we care for ourselves as deeply as we care for others.Things you will also learn in this episode:• Why service without self-care leads to burnout• How Dr. Tenzin transformed failure and hardship into a flourishing life of purpose• The importance of mentorship and education as a “golden ticket” for generational impact• Insights on preventing burnout in healthcare and leadership• How Eastern and Western philosophies can be integrated for resilience and wellbeingTune in now to hear how you can lead a flourishing life with both service and self-care at the center.✅Resources:• Michigan Ross: michiganross.umich.edu• Dr. Tenzin Dadul's website: tenzindadul.org/ • Cancer Medical Dental Organization founded by Dr. Tenzin Dadul: https://www.tenzindadul.org/mission • His Holiness The Dalai Lama: https://www.dalailama.com/• Sadhguru: https://isha.sadhguru.org/en/sadhguru • University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill: https://www.unc.edu/ • University of Detroit Mercy: https://www.udmercy.edu/• Saveetha Medical College: https://www.smc.saveetha.com/ • Andrews University: https://www.andrews.edu/index.html • University of Michigan Center for Positive Organizations: https://michiganross.umich.edu/terms/center-positive-organizations ✅Books:• Hardwired for Happiness by Ashish Kothari: https://happinesssquad.com/hardwired-for-happiness/
Everyone in freight is racing to slap “AI” on their product, brokers, carriers, TMSs, even startups that launched six weeks ago. But are any of these tools actually helping you operate better? In this episode of ThinkFreight, I sit down with Jamyang "Jam" Tenzin from Rose Rocket to cut through the noise and talk about what AI in freight is really doing, and not doing. We unpack the reality that most AI in logistics is still in the proof-of-concept phase, flashy demos and generic agents that look great in pitch decks, but can't survive the real complexity of daily dispatch, order entry, or customer response time. But there's a bright side: very specific, boring problems are already being solved, and solved well.______________________________________________

Trechos do discurso “The Nature of the Mind”, de Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo.
How do you lead with conviction—without losing your center?Tenzin Seldon is a global climate advocate, human rights leader, and one of the first Tibetan-Americans to rise through the ranks of elite institutions like Stanford and Oxford. But her story isn't about prestige—it's about purpose.Born to Tibetan refugee parents, Tenzin's life has been shaped by activism, faith, and a deep connection to community. In this conversation, she shares what it means to be “the first,” how ritual and compassion help her stay grounded, and why indigenous wisdom is essential to solving the climate crisis. We explore the inner practices that support outer impact, and the tension between ambition and integrity. Tenzin offers a refreshing perspective—one that moves beyond fear and toward meaningful action.Originally recorded last fall, this episode feels more urgent than ever. As you listen, reflect on what it takes to stay rooted when the world feels uncertain—and how you show up when your values are tested.__________________Learn more about Tenzin's climate investment work at www.pulsefund.com__________________Get Dr. Mike's Morning Mindset Routine here: https://findingmastery.com/morningmindset/Get exclusive discounts from our sponsors here: https://findingmastery.com/sponsors/Watch this episode and many more on our YouTube ChannelSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Tenzin and Stacy Botsford are farmers in Marathon County who've done everything right— growing a variety of vegetables and fruits that can be found at farmers markets, local restaurants, schools, and food pantries. But the Trump-Musk budget axe is coming down on the Local Food Purchase Assistance Cooperative Agreement Program, which buys food from local farms, like the Botsfords' Red Door Family Farm, and distributes to those pantries and schools. We'll get into the many ways this is a bad plan. We'll also update the state budget negotiations going on between Democratic Gov. Tony Evers and the Republicans who control the Legislature. The GOP seems content to again sit on and squander a multi-billion dollar surplus if they don't get a tax cut plan they like—while Evers has proposed nearly $2 billion in tax relief in his version of a new budget. And weeeee're back with part 2 with Tenzin! We continue our conversation with Tenzin, starting from when he decided to leave nursing, sparking a series of changes that involves sword-fighting in the woods, dropping out of grad school and even...chandeliers.In this episode, we break apart the idea that one has to have a single career, and explore what it could mean to develop an entirely new expertise every decade. Plus, Abbie wonders if she'll ever be as wise as Oprah, and Timmy takes a visit to a town Abbie would rather not see.If you haven't already listened to part 1, be sure to do that first and then come on back to this one -
We know we're not the only ones in the middle of a career pivot. Who better to chat with us on the subject than Tenzin? We've each known great and maybe not so-great influences on our life when we were kids. In Tenzin's case, it was a guidance counselor who discouraged him from becoming an artist, ultimately leading him to be a nurse working in the ICU during the worst of COVID. What happens next?? You'll have to listen to find out. In this two-part series, we explore how it's totally ok - and ultimately freeing, to jump ship and try out new careers. Plus, Abbie considers a life in outer space, and Tim comes out as an American black bear.We love Tenzin, and we know you will too!
