In this episode, Molly and Jim Blake, Founder and CEO of Bambiz, a marketing expert for estate planning and elder law firms, discuss how to build a $ 100k-a-month estate and elder law firm. They share their proven strategies for hiring the right people, implementing effective marketing techniques, and creating a streamlined process to convert leads into clients. By following their step-by-step playbook, attorneys can achieve significant growth and success in their practices. The episode also introduces an upcoming live event in Denver, Colorado, where Molly and Jim will provide in-depth training and guidance to help attorneys reach their financial goals. Key Takeaways: The key hires for a successful law firm include an outsourced marketing coordinator, a client service coordinator, and a legal assistant. In this episode of the Thoughtful Entrepreneur, your host Josh Elledge speaks to the Owner of Bambiz Marketing, Jim Blake. Jim Blake delved into the unique marketing challenges faced by elder law attorneys. Unlike other areas of law where billboards and flashy advertisements may work, elder law and estate planning require a different approach. Jim explained that their marketing strategy focuses on triggering thoughts in potential clients' minds when they are online, unknowingly scrolling through their feed. They use content, such as webinars, to provide valuable information and engage with potential clients. One of the key insights Jim shared was the importance of following up with potential clients after registering for an event. He explained that the success of a live event is measured by the percentage of registered attendees who show up. For webinars, a 50-60% attendance rate is considered successful. Jim emphasized the need for personal engagement, suggesting that someone from the firm should thank registered attendees for signing up and inquire about their specific questions or concerns. This keeps them engaged and increases the likelihood of their attendance. Bambiz Marketing provides free resources on its website, such as podcasts, ebooks, webinars, and training videos, to assist attorneys in their marketing efforts. Jim believes that by providing valuable resources, they can potentially reach a wider network through referrals. He also mentioned that Bambiz Marketing is transparent about its pricing and encourages potential clients to explore its website and utilize the available tools and resources. Key Points from the Episode: Bambiz Marketing specializes in helping elder law and estate planning law firms with online marketing Jim's background and how he got into working with elder law attorneys Unique marketing challenges faced by elder law attorneys Marketing approach focused on triggering thoughts in potential clients' minds through online content Shift to webinars due to the impact of the pandemic Importance of following up with potential clients after they register for an event Bambiz Marketing provides free resources on their website to assist attorneys in their marketing efforts Transparency about pricing and encouraging potential clients to explore their website and utilize available tools and resources About Jim Blake: Jim Blake, a seasoned marketer and entrepreneur, is the CEO and founder of Bambiz Marketing, a digital marketing company targeting Elder Law and Estate Planning law firms. Known in the 80's as "Hollywood Mike," Mike DiVicino and his "Italian friends" were quite busy in Hollywood, California until he led Police on a high-speed chase through Hollywood in a Ferrari. Unwilling to disclose his associates at trial, he was made example of with a life sentence in Maximum Security Prison. While there, Mike turned himself around in an effort to leave a positive legacy and role model for his own son and began taking young inmates under his wing, teaching them how to avoid bad decisions and bad situations and giving them a chance upon release to avoid ending up with a life sentence like his. He encouraged other lifers to also engage and help younger inmates structure their lives to stay out once released and even got them to write letters to America's youth about avoiding the choices they'd made. After 29 years, Mike's sentence was commuted, throwing him into an unknown world of technology that didn't exist when he went in. But, rather than falling back to his old life, Mike decided to publish those letters as a book entitled, "Dear Joey: Letters from Prison," as a guide book to young men to establish positive pursuits in their lives and work toward success along the right path. Now, Mike DiVicino is an inspirational speaker and establishing a nationwide effort to reach America's youth, helping them to avoid a life of crime and find positive role models to pattern themselves after.Mike talks with Bill, Jim & Blake about his journey and his efforts going forward in this great interview!

“One of the most eye-opening things when writing this book was my realization how influential we are as leaders. There is an intersection in business which makes people feel their lives have to be compartmentalised making it impossible to combine their spiritual and work lives - the idea that work just has to be work and `I can't bring some of what I believe in terms of my own spirituality'. Some of the things we do at work however are in alignment with the things that exist in our spiritual life such as compassion, empathy and deeply listening to others. It is possible to bring a spiritual approach to our work and posture of service in what we are doing and how we are doing it by developing an approach that brings the same spiritual posture in your most comfortable setting to the office in how your treat people, how you approach your work and how you endeavour to inspire others. We don't necessarily need to share the reasons and motivations that inspire us with everyone but we don't need to exclude them from the workplace. Looking at the workplace and finding the 'why' then gives context to the meaning of the work you're doing.
