A listener asked near the end of the show how likely it is that the Lakers finish the season without making any trades. Anthony answers, then gives how he'd react if that is how this plays out. He also discusses the Lakers' poor transition play on both sides of the ball and why he doesn't think the sky is falling, but... The Lakers are consistently underperforming against a specific kind of team. This is now a trend that dates back to how they were eliminated last season. How nervous should we be about this? The Suns took the fight to the Lakers, something they frankly have not dealt with well so far this season. It was also something we'd hope they'd improve on seeing as it's how they were knocked out last season. Anthony talks about this game, Dillon Brooks' play, the overall concerning trend and then dives into questions from the live audience. The Lakers closed out the homestand with a Monday night tilt against the Phoenix Suns. And despite Devin Booker leaving the game for Phoenix after just ten minutes, and Luka Doncic (38 points, 11 rebounds, 9 turnovers) scoring big numbers again in the first, the Lakers collapsed going into the half and never recovered as the Suns' Dillon "The Villain" Brooks (33 points) and Collin Gillespie (28 points, 8-14 from 3) keyed their team that caused 22 turnovers and shot 57% from the field (44% from 3) as they routed LA 125-108 to snap the Lakers seven game win streak. Tune in as the guys from the LFB share thoughts on how the team looked in this second game of a back-to-back, and what's up ahead for the team as they start out on a road trip later this week. Be consistent in winning and putting in that effort
Dont get outworked or outplayed by teams at all
Wins make it easier when lakers can do their jobs and take care of business basically
Don't blow a lead and have to get your starters back in the game
Lakers are winning they need to adjust their turnovers and perhaps a trade will keep this lakers team going
Both of them are lakers that's all that matters
Don't take your foot off the gas and it bite you in the you know where lol
Being Risky Cost You LA so stop doing it
You don't wanna win then lose because you guys weren't focused or just were being lazy

This felt like a trap game going in. The Lakers made sure it wasn't going to be one with the way they played in the first. The Lakers have won seven straight. They're the two seed in the west. Luka, Austin and LeBron are potentially figuring out how to play basketball at a level offensively we haven't really seen very often (if ever) before. Yes, there are some questions about this team. Still, remember to stop and smell the roses from time to time, too.
