David Samson joins the show to discuss our interview with Tim Walz from yesterday and shares his critiques. Dan explains why we did not get to more policy questions with Walz, while Stu defends the show for doing the show we have always done. Then, we transition back into sports and David tells us how he would have handled the New York Yankees fans who interfered with Mookie Betts last night as well as how many people he had to ban from Marlins Park during his tenure as president. Plus, Marlins Man had some ridiculous requests for ownership, David ended up with John Henry's party bus and David makes the most ridiculous bet of all time with us. Learn more about your ad choices. Kris Bubic had the right attitude after the loss and the rough outing before we hear from Ben Maller and are joined by Marlins man.
The legendary Marlins fan who sits behind home plate for every Royals play off game is in town and came in studio to talk to Judge Fescoe about balls and strikes.
Peter Schwartz was at the Yankees/Red Sox game in the Legend's seats which he got for his appearance at our live show in December. He ate a lot of food and met ‘Marlins Man'. Boomer, Gio and friends are bringing their kids to a Mets game on Thursday. Gio wonders what we're doing with the intern. C-Lo returns for an update but first Boomer wonders if he's concerned the Knicks haven't signed a big man. C-Lo starts with the Yankees getting shut out and losing the series to the Red Sox. Boomer seems to have had it with the baseball sound this morning. C-Lo has audio of EJ the producer for Maggie & Perloff, who's dealing with a kickball knee injury. He thanked a lot of people for their support. I mean, a lot of people. We also talked about Dov's injury and how he hasn't been at work since Passover. In the final segment of the hour, Brandon the intern is in studio to compete against Boomer to see who knows more about the other's generation.
Hour 1 Boomer & Gio return from their 4th of July holiday with the Yankees free falling and the Mets treading water. Fans are blaming Aaron Boone again, but didn't give him credit when the Yankees were on a roll. Boomer thinks Aaron Judge needs to talk to players that are ‘dogging it' because he's the captain. Gio said the Yankees seem like they can't wait to get to the all star break to get a rest. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update and starts with audio from last night's Red Sox shutout of the Yankees. Rafael Devers once again homered against the Yanks. The Mets beat the Pirates as they got the best of reliever Aroldis Chapman. Pete Alonso is the lone Mets all star and he will take part in the HR derby. In the final segment of the hour, Gio said nobody has it better than Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes right now. There was a furry convention in Pittsburgh while the Mets were there this weekend. It was a big topic during the games with Gary Cohen and Keith Hernandez. Boomer wonders what kind of furry Gio would be. What do they talk about at these conventions? Hour 2 There was a Boomer & Gio clip on the offseason version of Hard Knocks featuring the Giants. Joe Schoen said he doesn't listen to sports talk radio and wouldn't even know where to find it. Boomer can't believe the amount of people involved in making decisions on players. The Giants seem to be sending a message to Daniel Jones in some of the dialogue in the show. We also talked about the video of Malik Nabers ‘making it rain' at the strip club. We got another great Boomer quote: ‘there's plenty of dead carcasses on the road to disaster'. C-Lo returns for an update but first Boomer told us Paramount was sold to Skydance. CBS is part of Paramount and CBS Sports Network is part of that of course. C-Lo starts with Rafael Devers continuing to homer against the Yankees. Boomer can't believe Tiki Barber didn't know what Fudgie The Whale is. The Mets beat the Pirates as Francisco Lindor had the go ahead RBI and Diaz closed the door in the ninth. We talked about the Boston Celtics being for sale and we wonder what they're worth. In the final segment of the hour, Brandon Tierney said he has a lot of Yankees anger to unleash at 10am. We took a call from an angry Yankees fan who was blaming Aaron Boone. Hour 3 Peter Schwartz was at the Yankees/Red Sox game in the Legend's seats which he got for his appearance at our live show in December. Hour 4 Boomer gets to meet his new granddaughter today as his son Gunnar just had another child. Boomer likes baby clothes shopping. It's also one of his other granddaughter's birthdays this week, Winnie. Boomer said there are a lot of baby stores in NYC. Gio sees a lot of Burger Kings closing. We talked about the worst roads in the tri-state area. We did a draft of the worst roads. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with the Yankees losing to the Red Sox and the Mets beating Aroldis Chapman and the Pirates. Cubs pitcher Colton Brewer broke his hand punching a wall after a poor pitching performance. The Moment of The Day involves multiple producers at the radio station being injured. In the final segment of the show, Eddie told us about his vacation at ‘the grand canyon of Pennsylvania'. He stayed at a B&B and did a lot of hiking. Gio wonders if NASA or the government knew an asteroid was headed towards us, would we want to know?

From Kevin Durant's burner accounts to LeBron taking his talents anywhere to trusting the Process, the NBA is becoming a pop culture requirement. It's the day before the day. The Cleveland Cavaliers are going to play Game 7 against the Golden State Warriors and I still have no idea where to watch the game. It's a nervous experience trying to figure it all out. I also tackle the Marlins Man issue that arose after a Friday night Indians game where Marlins Man was reportedly verbally abused, threatened and eventually driven from the stadium out of concern for his own safety. I can't possibly condone that, assuming it happened that way, but it deserves a little bit more discussion. Are Cleveland fans worse than others? Are Cleveland fans irretrievably broken? Are you shocked and outraged? I try and bring some nuance to it all. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
