With the Real ID deadline approaching, travel plans were discussed alongside Gio's guest bartending event, where Peter Schwartz's appearance and Pat Boyle's potential football career were highlighted. Eddie's UFL experience and Jerry's update, featuring Giants draft anticipation and NFL owner meeting comments from Aaron Glenn and Mike Tomlin, filled the sports segment. Jazz Chisholm and Francisco Lindor's performances were analyzed, followed by the Knicks' victory. The day's "Moment" focused on a Suzanne Somers robot, concluding with the YES Network/Comcast dispute.

We have been forced to give up the XFL / UFL Update of the Week. Sadly, losing famous sportswriter uhh…that guy, has left us with no choice. Without 9000 words per week on each of my favorite games, and some of the worst puns I've ever heard, there's really no point. No, it's time to shift over to Kansas's #1 sports league - the Arena Football One, sponsored by Hulk Hogan. We discuss the upcoming format changes coming due to our new relationship with AF1. Oh and also there was a bunch of pizza stuff and Tony went to Melbourne and had 100 beers and pizza. There it is, 110 minutes on WAX for your listening pleasure. ★ Support this podcast ★

The Jets are expected to hire Aaron Glenn today, according to Ian Rapoport. Peter Schwartz has been named the GM of the Long Island arena league that is starting soon. The Jets are most likely signing Aaron Glenn after interviewing him today. Players are said to be excited at the prospect of Glann as head coach. Chris Simms, like Boomer, didn't like the throw from Lamar Jackson to Mark Andrews. Bill Belichick said the Ravens beat themselves. ‘You can't win til you can keep from losing' is what Tom Brady said (an old Belichick saying). In the final segment of the hour, Peter Schwartz joins us on the phone to talk about being the GM of the Long Island team of the new arena league.

Gio is back and has caught up on Hard Knocks. He was shocked by Pro Football Focus's ranking of the Giants roster. He has us guess where we think they have the Giants. PFF has them 31st out of all 32 teams. The Jets are 4th. Boomer and Gio are surprised they are that low. It's clear now that the Giants wanted to trade up for a QB and Boomer says things would have gotten ugly with Daniel Jones if they were successful. Boomer thinks the Giants are portraying some Hard Knocks scenes in specific ways to give off the appearance they want fans to see. Do the Giants have too many voices in the room? Will Brandon Aiyuk's situation impact Davante Adams? Jerry is here for his first update of the day but first Boomer points out that Brock Purdy isn't one of the 50 highest paid 49ers. Purdy and Jordan Love will soon want to get paid. Jerry has audio of Adam Schein saying the Giants are run by a buffoon. Davante Adams spoke highly of Aidan O'Connell and Tom Brady. Caitlin Clark broke a WNBA record with 19 assists in a game. Clark and Sabrina Ionescu will not be in this weekend's 3-point contest. Nobody knows why but Boomer, Gio and Jerry all think it's a missed opportunity for the WNBA. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer recalls a postgame conversation with former Titans coach Jeff Fisher, who will be in-studio with us later this morning. Boomer and Gio remember old energy drinks. ArenaBowl is at the American Dream in New Jersey tomorrow and airing on CBS Sports Network. Boomer and Gio try to convince Eddie to go. YouTube golf is skyrocketing in popularity. Baseball needs to find its way to younger eyeballs online. The Copa America final almost beat the All-Star game in the ratings.
Someone sent Gio a YouTube link of the game the guys just discussed when Jeff Fisher asked Boomer about the offense the Bengals ran. Gio's glory days of being a football fan coincided with Fisher's late 90s/early 2000s Titans team. Those Titans were in two of the most memorable games in the last 30 years. There used to be a “Cocaine” energy drink. Jerry returns for an update but first Gio asks if anyone cares about the Olympics next week. Gio will watch with his daughters. Chris “Mad Dog” Russo and Paul Finebaum got heated on First Take. Dog can talk USC football going back to 1910. In the final segment of the hour, Peter Schwartz is here to tell us about the Arena Football League and Arena Bowl before Jeff Fisher joins the show.

Alex Neist, the man behind Hostage Tape. This ecommerce marvel is radically improving sleep quality, one mouth at a time. Alex has already skyrocketed Hostage Tape to 7 figures a month and will crush 8 figures in 2023. But don't mistake Alex for a one-trick pony. This isn't his first entrepreneurial endeavor. He previously devoted 16 years to a sports video analytics company, bootstrapping it from scratch before making a graceful exit. During his tenure, he pioneered the use of humans to tag games, making them easily searchable for coaches and athletes - kind of like a human Google, but for sports. Before his business feats, Alex sported the helmet and shoulder pads, gracing the field as a professional quarterback in the Arenafootball league. When he wasn't calling plays on the field, he was coaching them, with a coaching career spanning over 15 years. Whether it's strategizing in business, on the football field, or in the realm of sleep, Alex Neist loves traveling the world looking for his next adventure with his wife and 2 kids.
