Join Eyal and I as we talk about the new intensive course that he and his team dropped with Jens Bogren and Ihsahn covering the entire process of how Jens record. We talk about the "small" 3 hours worth of content I was able to see, how even in that there was SO MUCH to learn about how songs still come down to a feeling. Taking the time to hone your craft, and making these kinds of things accessible to others who want to learn how to become a producer. Eyal and I discuss if there's every been a consideration into expanding into other genres of music, the process it takes to land all of these guests/bands/songs, as well as becoming an ancillary avenue for people to find out about new bands. Eyal shares the balance of showcasing new and up coming bands and established ones that will keep people interested. We also touch on the gatekeeping way of metal fans, how that's found it's way at times into the nail the mix crowd with some of the bands they've featured. If there are any bucket list bands he'd love to feature in the future and much more in this chat. Eyal Levi is a well known metal producer and toured the globe with his band Daath. Eyal has a very special Creative Live project starting March 7th called "Recording Metal: A Bootcamp" with the band Monuments. Eyal discusses in great depth how this is all going to work and his PR company Fresno Media chose ATSG as an outlet to discuss it. (Super cool; thanks Brian.) Eyal and I discuss having a more brutal sense of humor and how that helps deal with constant mispronunciations of his name (present company included). We cover the big topics like how we enjoy certain beverages, growing up with a genius orchestra leader father and how the metal bug bit him. In the intro I thank Jerry Adams for his generous Patreon contribution and I play ya'll a little ditty from the new Slaves BC album.
