NASCAR Tripleheader at Talladega Richard had an impressive victory in the Cup race, especially after a dramatic 28-car incident with just four laps to go that affected many top contenders, including Gumby Cindric. We saw a lot of excitement around the DVP policy, along with some challenges in the pack and fuel mileage racing in a tight four-wide situation for a couple of hours. As we look ahead to the Roval Cutoff, the points situation is definitely heating up. Sammy Smith pulled off an amazing from-last-to-first performance with a timely win in Xfinity! Unfortunately, Sam Mayer faced some difficulties and was disqualified, while Allgaier is still working through his issues. The points are really important as we approach the Roval. In a heartfelt moment for Oldsmobile, Grant Enfinger secured their first win in Trucks and their first win in NASCAR since 1992! It's great to see most of the playoff drivers, except Nick Sanchez, making their way into the Top 14. The points race is getting exciting as we head to Homestead. IndyCar News Michael Andretti has shared a thoughtful letter with fans as he transitions from his role as CEO of his team to Towriss. Exciting news: the series plans to race in Arlington, TX, in 2026, around the iconic Cowgirls stadium and the Globe Life Field for the Rangers! Booking Hamilton made Nick Sanchez (Hamilton's Philip Tour) feel kind of crazy (I get it) but being on that stage finally served as a release from the negative voices of the haters that had been haunting him since college. This week, he talks about his Hamilton experience and why it changed the trajectory of what he felt he was capable of doing. The beauty of Nick's story is that it proves that as cheesy as it sounds, you really can do whatever you want to do in your life and you don't have to be trapped in just one thing. For example, while Nick is on tour he is also in the process of renovating a house that has been abandoned for 30 years! Plus, Nick takes questions from the Patreon Peeps and offers to be your tour guide in Puerto Rico. Despite the setback, Parker managed to finish seventh, showcasing his adaptability and skill. They also discuss the new rumble strips at the track, which surprisingly provided more grip. The conversation shifts to the playoff standings, with Parker's team sitting comfortably above the cut line. They wrap up by engaging with listeners, celebrating positive reviews, and highlighting the growing popularity of the "Drafty Car" game. This week, Nick Sanchez (Hamilton's Philip Company) talks about how Hamilton has reached the point that superfans of the show are auditioning for and booking it, which is what happened to him with Rent. From Rent, Nick joined Tarzan on Broadway and then went on tour with Mary Poppins (and we can't forget his time with But I'm a Cheerleader and Altar Boyz). At 30 years old, Nick decided he'd reached the top of his career and left show business. After flirting with the idea of being on Masterchef (!!!), Nick tackled the world of interior design in New York City. But the stage kept calling him, and after a trip to Margaritaville on Broadway and a stop uptown (of course In the Heights is involved!), Nick finds himself auditioning for Hamilton. Nick Sanchez has been Man 5 on Hamilton's Philip Tour for almost six years. When not performing as Man 5 he also covers Alexander Hamilton, Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, John Laurens/Philip Hamilton, Charles Lee, James Reynolds, and more. Almost on a whim, Nick auditioned for Rent on Broadway at 15-years-old. Amazingly, that led to a series of auditions and callbacks that would culminate in Nick making his Broadway debut in Rent in 2004. Since then, Nick has had a full career swinging and understudying on Broadway and on tour around the country. He also stepped away from the industry for a few years to be an interior designer but we'll get to that later. This week, Nick tells his Rent story as we commiserate about the loss of The Life Cafe (RIP), bond over a shared love of doo-wop tunes, and vent our mutual disdain of adults in education telling teenagers what they definitively can and cannot do in their careers. Get out of their way and let them learn and thrive, you jerks! Nick on Instagram /// Gillian's Website The Hamilcast on Twitter The Hamilcast on Instagram Join the Patreon Peeps

Phil and Josh return for E223 of the GSP to discuss all the craziness at Detroit, Gateway and elsewhere in the world of motorsports. In Detroit, Honda powered IndyCar's seemed to dominate in Chevy's house with the podium swept by the Ohio/California gang. Scott Dixon put on another fuel saving doctoral dissertation but had heat from fellow Kiwi and teammate Marcus Armstrong and former teammate Marcus Ericsson at the end. Issues throughout the field and eight cautions in the first 73 laps marred what basically became a survival test. Augustin Canapino and the Argentinian fanbase are out of order after threatening Theo Pourchaire. When the drivers are wishing and hoping to go back to Belle Isle, the track is bad. NASCAR Cup and Trucks were at Gateway while the XFinity drivers were at Portland for road course action. Austin Cindric was the beneficiary of issues for both Christopher Bell and teammate Ryan Blaney, taking his first win since winning the 2022 Daytona 500. This was not a great day for the points contenders in general, but there's still plenty of races left. Stewart-Haas Racing will cease to exist at the end of 2024, after Tony and Gene made that announcement to the team after the 600. Phil and Josh give their thoughts at the end of this organization along with where some of the key people will go. With Snoreoma upcoming, that will be Faux last telecast of 2024. Other than Harvick and Mike Joy, is there anything redeeming? Shane Van Gisbergen became a NASCAR XFinity winner at Portland, passing dominant presence Justin Allgaier late in the race. All three Kaulig cars finished in the top 10, and SVG locks himself into the playoffs. Another person who is locked into the playoffs is Corey Heim after a fourth win of the Truck Series regular season. Outside of Heim, Ty Majeski, Christian Eckes and Nick Sanchez stand as the only drivers that might have a chance at Phoenix. The GSP Roundup will recap IMSA at Detroit, NHRA at Epping, MotoGP/Moto2 at Mugello along with major rider news and WRC Rally Italy before previewing Indy NXT at Road America. Phil and Josh make their picks and discuss the F1 Canadian Grand Prix, NASCAR Cup and XFinity at Snoreoma and IndyCar at Road America. Josh lets us know his exploits in iRacing on his Sim Segment prior to show close.
Veteran crew chief Kevin "Bono" Manion sits down with Davey Segal (8:15) to discuss his illustrious career in NASCAR that has seen him work with close to 50 drivers, win multiple championships, crowned jewel races and currently with Rev Racing and Nick Sanchez in the Truck Series, where they already have two wins to their credit in 2024. Bono explains what makes Sanchez so good in qualifying, why the consistency the No. 2 team has showed, the stop/start nature of the Truck Series schedule and reflects on being in the sport for over two decades. He also dives into his upbringing in Massachusetts, who he started racing with, moving down south on a whim with Tommy Baldwin and the friends and racers that lived with the duo down in NC. Bono wound up winning in his first ever start as a crew chief, at Daytona of all places, with Dale Earnhardt Jr. as the driver. He reflects on that day and getting paired up with Martin Truex Jr. at Chance 2 Motorsports (which he was hand picked to help start), where they won back-to-back championships to begin his full-time crew chiefing career. Bono and MTJ then moved up to the Cup Series together before Jamie McMurray came into the picture. Remember that storybook 2010 season? Bono does too, but it wasn't all good, as he explains. He also touches on what made working at DEI so special, what working at so many different teams taught him as a crew chief, why he enjoys where he's at in the Truck Series with Spire/Rev, being the class clown of the team and pulling pranks on his people, expectations for the No. 2 team for the rest of 2024, what else he wants to accomplish in his NASCAR career and where the nickname "Bono" actually derived from. Papa Segal pays homage to Ernie Irvan and Davey discusses Austin Cindric's surprise Gateway win, NASCAR granting Kyle Larson a playoff waiver and looks ahead to Sonoma.
One of the traditions that take place yearly is The Greatest Day In Motorsports, which is a national holiday for us at the GSP! Phil and Josh recap Josef Newgarden making a last lap pass on Pato O'Ward to win his second consecutive Indianapolis 500. Newgarden becomes the first repeat winner since Helio Castro-Neves in 2001-02 while Chevy dominated the oval portion of the month at Indy with Penske, McLaren and others like Conor Daly, SRR, RBFH, etc. Kyle Larson stayed to race Indy even with a rain delay and finished 18th, but he ran way better than that for the majority of the race. Scott Dixon, Alex Palou and Kyle Kirkwood picked up the pieces for Honda after a brutal couple of weeks as the IndyCar teams head off to the streets of Detroit. While Larson was racing at Indy, the Coca-Cola 600 started at Charlotte and raced through halfway and nearly three stages before Yung Money flew back and arrived at the track. In the end, NASCAR waited a few hours to call the race and declare Christopher Bell the winner in what ended up as the Coca-Cola 373.5. Social media and fans were angry after numerous clips and pictures showed a drying or dry track, the delay in calling the race and the disappointment in not seeing Larson get into a fast car that Justin Allgaier had driven to 13th. On the XFinity side, William Clyde Elliott II took the win for Hendrick and the 17 car in what was a Cup benefit like the old days. Allgaier won both stages for a second consecutive race, but got wrecked on a restart in the third stage. JRM still faired pretty well in spite of Allgaier's misfortune. Nick Sanchez used track position and good timing to hold off a hard charging Corey Heim for his second win of the 2024 Truck Series season. Heim would later be disqualified for three loose lugnuts, after dominating the majority of the race. Formula 1 held their annual procession at Monaco, with Charl Eclair becoming the first driver from Monaco to win in the 93-year history of the event. Josh watched the regular broadcast while Phil enjoyed the kids broadcast. Fish Lips actually struggled and finished sixth. All of the top-10 in the starting order finished exactly where they started. The only major issue was a crash involving Sergio Perez and the two Haas cars. The GSP Roundup looks at F2/F3 at Monaco, MotoGP/Moto2, Formula E, NHRA, IMSA and Indy NXT before Josh and Phil come back to preview and make picks for Cup/Trucks at Gateway along with XFinity at Portland. They also preview and make picks for the IndyCar Detroit Grand Prix. Josh provides plenty of insight into his trevails during the iRacing Coke 600 along with Indy 500 prep in his Sim Segment prior to Show Close.
Phil and Josh return for E212 of the GSP after a wild and unpredictable Cup race at Bristol due to BadYear tires. Dennis Hamlin was the biggest beneficiary with his victory while his Toyota teammates and the Hendrick Chevy's continue to dominate with the new "Short Track Package." The guys go over all the key storylines and the points leading into Circuit of the Americas. Christian Eckes earned his first victory of 2024 and the first for McAnally/Hilgeman Racing after Spire had dominated the early Truck Series races. One of the main stories was Stewball going after Nick Sanchez postrace in an otherwise tame Truck event. Phil and Josh go into the NFL Free Agency frenzy for their teams and across the league. Who got better through this cycle and who is in trouble? The GSP Roundup recaps the 12 Hours of Sebring, Indy Supercross, and previews F2/F3/Supercars at Melbourne, MotoGP/Moto2 at Portimao, WSBK at Barcelona and the NHRA at Pomona for the Winternationals. Phil and Josh spend a few brief moments discussing the F1 Australian Grand Prix and who will finish behind Fish Lips. The Thermal Club Million Dollar Challenge for the IndyCar Series is the first non-points race for IndyCar since 2008 and the first big money event since the days of the Marlboro Challenge in CART. The guys preview the event and make their picks before doing the same for all three major NASCAR series at CoTA for the first road course of the year. Josh lets us know all things going on with iRacing and gaming during his Sim Segment prior to the Show Close.
After a chaotic weekend at the "World's Center of Racing," Phil and Josh come back for E208 of the GSP to review and call it all. The XFinity race was live during the show so the guys gave their live announcing and analyst chops some work in-between the reviews of William Byron winning the Daytona 500 under caution and Nick Sanchez getting his first Truck Series win through carnage. Phil and Josh give their thoughts on the racing, the lack of respect and quality of the product and what the wins mean for Byron, Sanchez and Hill. The GSP Roundup covered ARCA, Supercross, WRC, Extreme E, MotoGP, Bathurst 12 Hours for GT3 cars and the Bathurst 500 season opener for the Supercars along with the Le Mans Entry List. Phil and Josh get back in to cover F1 testing at Bahrain and what to take away from the tests leading into the season opening race. The guys preview, making picks and get the Tate Fogleman Algorithm out for Atlanta. Josh lets us know all things iRacing and sims in his Sim Segment prior to closing it all up.

Nick Sanchez is awesome, he's a new comic but levels ahead with his stage presence because he truly has an IDGAF attitude that I envy. We have a great conversation about comedy, heritage and family.
Ahead of NASCAR honoring their champions on Thursday night in Nashville we honor them on a special edition of NASCAR LIVE. We look back at the best moments of the season for Ryan Blaney, Cole Custer, and Ben Rhodes. The Craftsman Truck Series rookie of the year, Nick Sanchez also stops by. Phil and Josh are on during the 49ers Monday Night Football match-up versus the Vikings, which has Phil in his feelings throughout E192 of the GSP. In spite of this, the guys get into the triple-header at Homestead and Christopher Bell coming in clutch to advance into the Final 4 in Cup. Bell benefited from the error by Kyle Larson entering pit road behind Ryan Blaney, leaving Larson on the hook and Blaney having to fight back. Denny Hamlin, Martin Truex, Jr. and Christopher Buescher are all looking up after a rough outing in Miami. Sam Mayer chose a great time for his first oval win in the XFinity Series, holding off Riley Herbst to lock himself into the Final 4. Cole Custer won the pole, led the most laps and won a stage to solidify his position heading to Martinsville. Sheldon Creed and Chandler Smith are in must-win situations at Martinsville after another difficult day. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. made his second start of 2023 and finished 5th riding the boards. Carson Hocevar's career season continues with a fourth Truck Series victory and clinching a spot in the Final 4, holding off defending series champion (and future teammate) Zane Smith. Grant Enfinger and Ben Rhodes raced their way through on points. Smith's Front Row Motorsports Ford was disqualified after post-race inspection, eliminating the Huntington Beach, CA driver for the first time in his Truck Series career from a Final 4 appearance. Joining him were pole-sitter Nick Sanchez (who tied Rhodes on points), Christian Eckes and Ty Majeski. The US Grand Prix at CoTA had plenty of fans in attendance and action throughout the event, but the usual result took place. Fish Lips took his 50th career win and 15th of 2023. Sir Lewis Hamilton got as close as he has to a 104th victory in 2023 but was disqualified along with pole-sitter Charles Leclerc due to plank wear. Lando Norris rounded out the podium on the road but the Smooth Operator ended up on the third step. Behind that chaos was Logan Sargeant, who became the first American to earn a point in F1 since Michael Andretti at the 1993 Italian Grand Prix. NFL Week 7 had the guys talking about their fantasy teams plus Josh discussing his Jaguars continuing to rise while Phil was bemused by the 49ers performance. The GSP Roundup looked at MotoGP/Moto2, F1 Academy, Smoke selling the All-Star Circuit of Champions to Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet's High Limit Sprint Car Series, WRC, Supercars, World Superbike, NHRA, Formula E and Indy NXT. Phil and Josh preview and make picks for the Grand Prix of Mexico before doing the same for the Cup and XFinity races at Martinsville. Who will join the already advanced at Phoenix for a title shot? Josh talks about all things iRacing and gaming in his Sim Segment prior to Show Close.
Phil and Josh return for another episode of the GSP to cover the carnage that is Talladega with Young Ryan Blaney earning a third photo finish victory over Kevin Harvick (prior to his DQ). The guys get into the race which saw plenty of Ford's lead with Joey Logano leading the most laps and Blaney and Keselowski winning the stages. The fans saw 70 lead changes among 24 drivers plus the usual wrecking with Keselowski causing the big one. Brad and Ross are among the drivers stressed going into the Roval at Charlotte with the points cutoff. For the Trucks, Brett Moffitt in a one-off won for Front Row Motorsports but the defending series champion Zane Smith will be in a must-win situation heading to Homestead. Nick Sanchez and Parker Kligerman won the stages but Sanchez ended up in the news after a big wreck with Matt Crafton, after the three-time series champion sucker punched the rookie post race. The crew goes over the points heading to Homestead and the story of KBM being sold to Spire Motorsports. In the NFL, Phil and Josh have mixed fortunes with their actual teams while the fantasy football side is providing varying results. The guys discuss their favorites and the players that are good/bad for them in real and fantasy sports. The GSP Roundup looks at MotoGP/Moto2, WSBK, NHRA, Supercars at the Bathurst 1000 and Andretti Global being approved as the 11th team for Formula 1. Speaking of F1, Phil and Josh preview who will finish behind Fish Lips at the Qatar Grand Prix after he gets a second title, along with previews and picks for the Charlotte Roval and who advances before Josh's Sim Segment and Show Close.
The team also discusses the fight between Nick Sanchez and Matt Crafton, Kevin Harvick's DQ and more. Source
Landon and Parker return from a week hiatus, filled with all sorts of hijinks. Parker nearly wins two races in his off time, Producer Josh goes off and gets engaged to his lady, and who knows what Landon was up to in his free time! The team breakdown Parker's pace at Texas, deconstructing PK's moves into Turn 3 at Texas to figure out how he could have won the race. The attention then turns to Parker's Talladega Truck performance, in a new chassis built specifically for superspeedways. Next, the duo focuses on the good, the bad, and the ugly of the Matt Crafton and Nick Sanchez post race scuffle that resulted in fines and some facial bleeding. Xfinity driver moves are discussed, where the idea of Confidence as a Driver being one of the factors that can move a driver from being good to being great. The team takes a look into Harvick's DQ and the Cup series making a trek to Landon's home turf of Iowa for 2024. They then dive into another major move from Spire, as they purchased KBM for quite a bit of cash. They turn their attention to Andretti's F1 bid, which has finally been approved by the FIA. What does this mean for the next step as it faces it's biggest road block, the FOM and other F1 Teams. The attention is now on Formula E as it has made a rather bold claim as the 4th biggest motorsport in the world, surpassing NASCAR.
