625: Loving Our Christian Nationalist Neighbors with Caleb Campbell

It's one thing to fight against a heresy, but what about the people caught in its grasp? Caleb Campbell's new book, “Disarming Leviathan,” argues Christian Nationalism is an idolatrous, anti-Christian movement, but that we ought to take a gentle, loving, and missional posture toward our friends and neighbors following it. Also this week, Ronald Reagan often said America was a shinning “city upon a hill.” Derwin Gray joins Skye and Kaitlyn to discuss the phrase, its original context in the Sermon on the Mount, and how Puritan colonists used it very differently than modern politicians. “The end is coming!” Throughout the years, this short but terrifying sentence has sent shivers down the spines of believers, conjuring images of apocalyptic destruction and trials foretold by ancient texts. But should the faithful tremble at the thought of the book of Revelation, or is there a deeper understanding to be had? This is a question Jenny Mire was able to answer in her journey to understand the end times. In this episode of The Revelations Podcast, we take a deeper look into the Bible and human history. Jenny sheds light on Daniel's 70 Weeks prophecy, and why she believes that Jesus reigns in the present. She explains the Olivet Discourse and the relevance of the Old and New Covenant so we can better understand the meaning behind the book of Revelation. This episode will give you hope to continue Gods will in your life and peace to sustain you as walk with Jesus! Here are three reasons why you should listen to this episode:Gain insight into the different major perspectives of the end times and Jenny's partial preterist, amillennialist view.Understand the Olivet Discourse and how Jesus' proclamations are fulfilled throughout history.Be freed from fear with a better understanding of the end times and the new covenant with our Lord, Jesus.Become Part of Our Mission! The Greek word “escha” means last or farthest away. There are many different views and words for this study. Specifically, Jenny views it as the “last days.” Like many others, Reagan and Jenny have been exposed to the fear of the end times that Hollywood and society have perpetuated. However, the book of Revelations isn't about fear. It is about the revealing of Jesus Christ. [06:55] Jenny: “Revelation is ‘the revealing of'… It means the revealing of Jesus Christ. It is about Jesus. When you look at Revelations with those lenses of ‘Where are we seeing him revealed?' your view starts to change.” It reveals the New Covenant and what that means for us, believers.[07:23] The Major Views of the End TimesThe dispensational view looks at Revelations at different times. From the growth of the Church to the 7-year peace agreement of the Antichrist and Jesus' return to reign and end all evil. The Church is raptured before, in the middle, or after the 7-year tribulationAmillennialism believes that Jesus reigns right now. There will be no rapture and the Church waits for Jesus' second coming and then eternity. A preterist view believes the Revelations were fulfilled in the first century. A partial preterist believes that it has mostly been fulfilled and only awaits the return of Jesus.Other views include historical, post-millennialism, futurism, and idealism. Listen to the full episode to gain a better understanding of the different views of the end times with Jenny.Jenny is a partial preterist with an amillennialist viewpoint. She believes that Jesus is reigning in the present. Once He comes back, he will bring eternity.[13:09] The Journey Into Studying the book of RevelationIn 2020, Jenny started questioning what other people told her about the end times. She started reading Revelations and felt uneasy about how some things didn't make sense. She discovered that the 7-year tribulation theology came from Daniel's 70 Weeks prophecy. Jenny started reading the Book of Daniel and listened to different viewsJenny started studying the Hebrew writings in Daniel. It's through this that she better understands the 70 Weeks prophecy and how it actually refers to Jesus and His ministry. The next step in her journey was understanding what Matthew 24 says when talking about the end times and the great tribulation. In the past year, she studied Revelations and listened to different views and perspectives. With prayer, Jenny felt the Holy Spirit confirm her beliefs not with fear but with peace.[17:02] A Deeper Look Into Pre-Tribulation Rapture Theology and HistoryDispensationalism was made popular in the 1800s by John Nelson Darby. His work has then been taught in seminaries.Josephus was a first-century Jewish historian. He documented the history of the Jewish-Roman War. His works are crucial in understanding the views of the end times. In Matthew 23, Jesus proclaimed destruction and judgment on that generation before He died in 30 AD. In 66 AD, Roman armies surrounded Jerusalem before pulling out and allowing Christians who heeded Jesus' warnings to flee the city. The Roma-Jewish War lasted for 3 and a half years as written in the books of Revelations and Daniel. It ended in 70 AD after a final siege lasting 5 months.A better understanding of these dates gave Jenny a deeper look. Learn more about these historical dates and Bible writings in Jenny's full explanation in this episode.[27:02] The Book of RevelationsMany believe that John wrote Revelations between 90 and 95 AD. However, based on his age and writing, it makes sense to have been written around 60 ADRevelations is the last book in the Bible as it describes the destruction of the temple and how it embodies the Mosaic Covenant. Jenny asks important questions to better understand Revelations in her journey. This brings her to the realization that the Old Covenant is done and the New Covenant has everything we need.[31:30] Explaining the Olivet DiscourseThe Olivet Discourse is found in Matthew 24 and Luke 21. Before this, Jesus calls out the Pharisees and scribes as hypocrites in Matthew 23.Jesus and His disciples talk about His proclamation of judgment on the Pharisees, the destruction of the temple, and when it will occur. The disciples ask Jesus about the signs of coming and the end of the age, referring to the Old Covenant Age.In Matthew, Jesus refers to the “Abomination of Desolation” mentioned by Daniel about the first-century destruction. Luke 21 tells the same story of this discourse where he writes about this desolation as Jerusalem surrounded by armies. These chapters and verses can be seen in the Roman-Jewish war between 66 AD and 70 AD.Jesus' proclamation was fulfilled. Romans conquered, took people captive, and left others dead. Not one stone was left in the temple when it was destroyed in the war.[42:38] The End of the Old CovenantThe 70 weeks of Daniel was during Jesus' 3-and-a-half-year ministry. He was crucified midway through the 70th week. [43:19] Jenny: “When Jesus came when he resurrected and ascended into heaven, He began reigning at that point. The new covenant was in effect for those who accepted it.” After Jesus' resurrection and ascension, the New Covenant and His reign began. This overlapped with the Old Covenant as it became obsolete and slowly vanished. The fall of the temple was the end of the Old Covenant.[46:14] Following the Way of the New CovenantRecently, there has been talk about rebuilding the temple. However, Jenny believes that this is a distraction of the enemy from our task to grow and become many. [46:34] Jenny: “You and I are the temple and the Holy Spirit. God dwells in us and where He dwells is His glory. So when it says the glory will fill the whole Earth, that is us, believers.” People are so focused on what can happen in the future that it distracts us from what we should be doing. Many are scared and choose not to live their lives due to this fear.We get stuck in fear. However, it's important to ask about if this is from the Lord. The Lord is perfect love and not based on fear.John, as a prophet of the first century, wrote Revelations referring to the first destruction of the temple like the prophets of the Old Testament. Jenny believes we are at the end of the book, experiencing Jesus' reign and waiting for His return. We are made spiritually new in Christ but yearn for physical restoration.[56:16] Freedom From Fear By Understanding the End TimesWhat Jenny has learned about the end times has helped her in understanding the New Covenant. She is now on a new journey to find out what it means to be a new creation and know our true identity.Once we stop fearing and looking for the Antichrist and more, we can focus on Jesus and the New Covenant. There is freedom from fear to be able to live and move forward. About JennyJenny Mire is the founder of The Rooted Truth and Think Fit. Fear is at the root of just about every negative thing that happens in our lives. We're afraid of failing; afraid of being alone or rejected; afraid of running out of money; afraid that people will let us down; afraid that we won't find a spouse or the one we found will leave us. All fear is rooted in the core belief that God's Word won't work. For example, the fear of not having enough is rooted in the fear that Philippians 4:19 isn't true. If you believe that “God will supply all your needs according to His riches...” then fear leaves. MEDITATE ON THE FACT THAT GOD'S WORD IS TRUE In John 17:17, Jesus said, “Thy Word is truth.” What God says is fact—whether you feel it, see it, or have ever experienced it. CONSIDER GOD'S TRACK RECORD 1 Kings 8:56 says, “...Every word has come true of all His good promise...” (NLV). Fear leaves when you can rely on something that can't fail. God has never failed to fulfill His promises. There are over 1000 predictions or prophecies in the Bible—promises that God made before they happened. The chances of merely 17 of these coming to pass are 1 out of 450 billion x 1 billion x 1 trillion! Yet, not one of these promises has failed. ACCEPT THE TRUTH THAT WHAT WE FEAR COMES UPON US In Job 3:25, Job feared that his children would curse God, and that's what happened. When you realize fear has the power to produce negative results, you stop dabbling in it. When a child learns what fire can do, he no longer plays with matches! PERFECT LOVE CASTS OUT FEAR (1 John 4:18) Flood your mind with thoughts of love—God's love for you, and what He was willing to do to rescue you. If He would die for you, while you were in sin and separated from God, there's just nothing He wouldn't do for you! Think on that, and fear will leave. THERE IS A PROMISE FROM GOD'S WORD FOR EVERY NEED YOU WILL EVER EXPERIENCE In fact, there are over 7000 promises in the Bible. That's 7000 solutions to life's problems! For example, there is a promise of protection in Psalm 91:1–12, which delivers you from the fear of evil, sickness, or tragedy. PAUSE AND DWELL ON THE FACT THAT GOD IS WITH YOU God's presence is the secret to a fear-free life. Ultimately, all fear is a sense of God's absence or our separation from God. By contrast, a sense of God's presence delivers us from fear. Hebrews 10:19 says, “We are in His presence by the blood of Jesus.” You are in His presence now—therefore, fear not! THINK IT AND SAY IT God's Word is true, whether I feel it or not. He has kept all of His promises and has never failed. I am in God's presence by the blood of Jesus; therefore, because He is with me, I will fear no evil! God loves me perfectly, which casts out all my fear. I have power, love, and a sound mind, in Jesus' Name! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/felicia721/message

Human love is a complex thing. It's flawed and imperfect and can often be conditional and damaging to us. But God's love for us is different; it's perfect, absolute, and ever-unconditional. Through Christ, his Son, we have been redeemed and all our sins forgiven when we receive Christ as Lord and Savior. Abiding in the confidence that comes from God's love[1] removes all doubts and fear. It's the only transforming love that will never diminish or come to an end.In this episode of the Revelations Podcast, Delaney Dobbs and Beverly Coniaris of She is Becoming Podcast joins us to speak about God's love. They talk about our role as Christians in speaking His truth and embodying and bringing His love to others. They also differentiate between worldly love and God's love and affirms the power of having confidence in God's love.Tune in now to learn more about what the Scriptures say regarding love. It's important for the Church and culture.Women want to hear from women of all ages. The older and younger generation have a lot to learn from each other.[05:26] How to Love an Angry CultureYou will feel the angst and anger of people by simply living in the culture. In the episode with Reagan, they talked about how to love with healthy boundaries from Scripture while sharing the gospel and reflecting God.The country has never been so divided. It's the role of God's people to have a different voice and bring people together amidst this. It's our job in the Church to love and to be sure of God's love.[07:33] What Stands Out about Love in 1 John 4:7-19 for Delaney1 John 4 was written to a group of churches believing a Gnostic gospel. The false gospel says that the body and mind are separate and evil, and any emotions that have to do with love and joy must be suppressed. The evidence of a Christian that has been changed by Christ is to love and love well.In the passage, John is encouraging Christians on how to love fellow believers and how to be confident in God's love. He also advocates for Christ's divinity and humanity.1 John 4 says that the love of God was made manifest in us. It's rich in doctrine and theology and is practical at the same time.[09:34] What Stands Out about Love in John 7:19 for BevJohn used love as a test of faith and eternal life.Beverly [10:03]: “One of the fruit[s] of the Spirit, if we have the Spirit of God living in us through faith, is love. So if love is not there, the Spirit may not be there, and we may not be God's child.”John is writing to believers; fellow Christians were to love one another. The emphasis is for our love to be a witness of the world. If that disintegrates in the Church, there's no hope for the world. The people of the Church are the ones who have to bring God's love to others.[11:17] On Not Feeling LovedFeelings trump faith and truth. That's our culture.Feelings come and go; they're unreliable. We can experience an up and down in feeling God's love, similar to our relationships. In this situation, we must first recognize why we doubt God's love. Guilt is a big reason why we feel the need to turn away from God. Other causes are disobedience, other people not loving us, and not knowing the Scriptures. What you have to do when you're doubting is to return to the truth that God loves you and believe it.[15:33] Love is from GodGod is the originator of love. We don't come to God and start loving Him; He starts by loving us.The idea that God has initiated His love for you is a foundational truth you can return to when you don't feel loved.God's love is different from human love. His love is agape love or meeting the needs and caring for the receiver of His love.God's love is sacrificial on behalf of the beloved. The cross is God's demonstration of His love.Similarly, loving one another is setting aside our own selfish needs on behalf of others.[18:46] How God's Love Makes a Difference in Our Everyday LifeHis love enables our love. You can see the impact of God's love with how you love those who are hard to love, even from afar.Love is not a feeling; it's a choice and a commitment. It also manifests in discipline and telling truths and consequences, not just affection.Delaney [24:13]: “You can't experience God's love and not love other people.”Just smile at people. It's a small thing, but it's an act of love.God's love gives us the confidence to love ourselves and other people and speak the truth.Tune in to the full episode to hear more examples of how love makes a difference in our everyday life![32:50] Being Confident in God's LoveBeing confident in God's love means that you don't have to do things to earn it.We can express our love back to Him by obeying Him, living in truth, and living as he loves us.There's nothing we could ever do that would cause God to stop loving us. The way he shows us love is never skewed and is always perfect. We try to find the love God gives in all the wrong places. But the only way we will meet that need for love is in Him.[36:18] What the World says Love isOne thing is that love is love and whatever you want it to be. The root of it is nobody in culture knows how to define love.Desensitization to intimacy has impacted our view of love. We've taken a picture of how God is supposed to love and devalued it.Thinking that love is a way to rationalize sin and put it on a pedestal. But if you don't have a relationship with the Lord, you are not equipped to love. The world's love is all self-love and is the opposite of God's love. God affirms that we are to love ourselves, but it can't be void of Him.[41:45] Justification for SinSuppressing all feelings, such as the premise of the church John was writing to, is also unhealthy. The idea that people could do whatever they want with their bodies because it's not associated with the spirit life is a justification for sin.[44:07] Hurting and Loving Each Other as ChristiansJohn 7:19 speaks about loving each other as Christians. It's easy to want to fight back when you get hurt by other Christians. It's not always the right thing to do.Speaking an honest word can be loving, but it's hard. You don't do anybody a favor by saying nothing when you see something. The huge reason culture is angry is because they don't have confidence in God's love.Having a good theology of God's love on top of living it out can help us live confidently in His love.[48:07] Combating Guilt and ShameSpeaking truth to ourselves in love is how we combat guilt and shame.Believe His word and forgiveness as true. Only then can you move on.We like to punish ourselves. If we don't allow Christ to do it, we will do it on ourselves.Perfect love drives out fear.[49:49] Perfect Love Drives out FearConfidence is the opposite of fear. Being confident in God's love is one of the ways you combat fear. It's God's love that's perfect, not our love. But because of that, we don't have to fear.Having fear is fearing losing God's love. But we don't have to because we're secure with His love.Jesus is our Savior. God is our Father.Bev [53:31]: “He is your father. It's not just a picture. It's truth, and that's why we all have the same Father, that's why we're sisters in Christ. So that's why you get the new family. You have that security that this Father's love is perfect love, and then it will drive out the fear of not being loved.”We have to rely on the love God has for us.[55:11] On PropitiationWe can't love people for doing what we need. The only transforming love is Christ. However, people can reflect God's love for you, and you can experience His love through them.Propitiation is a doctrine. It means that justice is needed and has been met.Christ has taken all of God's disapproval and anger towards our sins as born sinners. Our sins have been propitiated through Christ, and God's wrath is over. When you begin to understand that God's not angry with you, then you can start to accept his love.[58:36] How Delaney & Bev Have Come to Treasure God's LoveOurs is not the beginning or definition of love. The love of Christ is something outside of us; it's something not defined by us and is always. It's how Delaney treasures God's love.God's love helps Bev get out of bed in the morning and go to sleep at night.Life is hard sometimes. God's love gives her peace and a secure place to rest. What God's love meant for Bev personally is mending her relationship with her parents and letting God love through her.[1:01:30] Love Covers a Multitude of SinLove covers all wrongs. Christ's love covered the world's multitude of sins in history.Christ's love gives us more grace and the ability to be more compassionate toward people who are hard to love.Loving someone can help bring people out of their sins. Proverbs 10:12 tells us to be that example and not to be overly critical. The simple act of sharing the gospel is love covering a multitude of sins.About Delaney & BeverlyDelaney Dobbs and Beverly Coniaris are the co-hosts of the She is Becoming Podcast. If you believe that "God will supply all your needs according to His riches..." then fear leaves. MEDITATE ON THE FACT THAT GOD'S WORD IS TRUE In John 17:17, Jesus said, "Thy Word is truth." What God says is fact—whether you feel it, see it, or have ever experienced it. CONSIDER GOD'S TRACK RECORD 1 Kings 8:56 says, "...Every word has come true of all His good promise..." (NLV). Hebrews 10:19 says, "We are in His presence by the blood of Jesus." You are in His presence now—therefore, fear not! THINK IT AND SAY IT!! God's Word is true, whether I feel it or not. He has kept all of His promises and has never failed. I am in God's presence by the blood of Jesus; therefore, because He is with me, I will fear no evil! God loves me perfectly, which casts out all my fear. I have power, love, and a sound mind, in Jesus' Name! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/felicia721/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/felicia721/support

Today, Thursday September 2 “Perfect Love Casts Out Fear” 1 John 4:17-19 “By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us.” Today we begin a new section of verses in our study of 1 John 4. Up to this point, the emphasis has been on Christians loving one another; but now we turn to a deeper—and more important—topic: a believer's love for the Father. We cannot love our neighbor or our brother unless we love our Heavenly Father. We must first love God with all our hearts; then we can love our neighbor as ourselves. The key word in this section is perfect. God wants to perfect in us His love for us and our love for Him. The word perfect carries the idea of maturity and completeness. We as believers are not only to grow in grace and knowledge (2 Peter 3:18), but we are also to grow in our love for the Father. We does this in response to the Father's love for us. Remember in the last section we learned: What God is – God is love; What God did for us – God sent His Son to die for us; What God is present tense doing for us – God is abiding in us by His Holy Spirit. How much does God love us? Enough to send His Son to die for us (John 3:16). He loves His children in the same way as He loves Christ (John 17:23). And Jesus tells us that the Father wants the love with which He loved the Son to be in His children (John 17:26). In other words, our Christian life should be a daily experience of growing in the love of God. It involves us coming to know our Heavenly Father in a much deeper way as we grow in love. It is easy to fragment the Christian life and become preoccupied with individual pieces instead of the total picture. We see this everywhere in different churches. One church may emphasize "holiness" and urge its members to get victory over sin. Another may stress witnessing, or "separation from the world." But each of these emphases is really a by-product of something else: a believer's growing love for the Father. Mature Christian love is the great universal need among God's people. When Paul dealt with the many difficult issues in the Corinthian Church in his first letter to them it is obvious that he concluded that their root problem was lack of mature love. That's why he wrote 1 Corinthians 13 and concluded it with this great statement: “So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” How can a believer know that his love for the Father is being perfected? In 1 John 4:17-5:5 we will find four evidences or proofs that our love for the Father is growing every day! They are: Confidence (4:17-19); Honesty (4:20-21); Joyful Obedience (5:1-3); and Victory (5:4-5). Today we live in a world of great fear! By God's grace and through His Word, I trust you and I can experience what John state in this passage: “Perfect or mature love cast out all fear”. God bless!

We live in a world that is dominated by fear. Every day you and I have some element of fear we must deal with. Whether it is driving on the highway to work or if our jobs will be there tomorrow. Today it's the threat of the coronavirus that is creating panic and fear across the globe. We must understand that we continually come to the crossroad of faith and fear. This is God's process of sanctification. It's the fear in our lives that prevents us from experiencing the abundant life Jesus promised us in John 10:10. But in that same verse, we see that there is a thief attempting to steal kill and destroy that abundant life we've been promised. We are to walk in the strength and courage that comes from knowing Jesus Christ in a personal way. We are unable to produce the strength or courage that is required to step out of our fear and into the faith that overcomes. What has overcome the world or better yet what has overcome our fear; our faith. This is my prayer for you. Eph 3:14-19 For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man; 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fulness of God.

Fr. Marc's Homily from Jan. 22nd: "Perfect Love Casts Out Fear"   First Reading: 1 Sam. 17:32-33,37,40-51 David spoke to Saul:“Let your majesty not lose courage.I am at your service to go and fight this Philistine.”But Saul answered David,“You cannot go up against this Philistine and fight with him,for you are only a youth, while he has been a warrior from his youth.” David continued:“The LORD, who delivered me from the claws of the lion and the bear, will also keep me safe from the clutches of this Philistine.”Saul answered David, “Go! the LORD will be with you.” Then, staff in hand, David selected five smooth stones from the wadiand put them in the pocket of his shepherd’s bag. With his sling also ready to hand, he approached the Philistine. With his shield bearer marching before him,the Philistine also advanced closer and closer to David. When he had sized David up,and seen that he was youthful, and ruddy, and handsome in appearance, the Philistine held David in contempt. The Philistine said to David,“Am I a dog that you come against me with a staff?”Then the Philistine cursed David by his godsand said to him, “Come here to me,and I will leave your flesh for the birds of the airand the beasts of the field.”David answered him:“You come against me with sword and spear and scimitar, but I come against you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel that you have insulted.Today the LORD shall deliver you into my hand;I will strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will leave your corpseand the corpses of the Philistine army for the birds of the airand the beasts of the field;thus the whole land shall learn that Israel has a God.All this multitude, too, shall learn that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves. For the battle is the LORD’s and he shall deliver you into our hands.” The Philistine then moved to meet David at close quarters, while David ran quickly toward the battle linein the direction of the Philistine.David put his hand into the bag and took out a stone, hurled it with the sling, and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone embedded itself in his brow, and he fell prostrate on the ground. Thus David overcame the Philistine with sling and stone;he struck the Philistine mortally, and did it without a sword. Then David ran and stood over him;with the Philistine’s own sword which he drew from its sheathhe dispatched him and cut off his head.

In this podcast I want to share with you how the love of God carried a woman through the horrors of Germany's worst death camp, Ravensbruck, during the holocaust. I want to share a truth with you that she shared around the world after her release. Her story was indeed a horror story of epic proportion...she lost so much...but God turned her story into a love story. I want to share this story with you because God has not changed and His love can change your story into a love story too. 1 John 4:18 KJV There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear; because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. I can't help but approach this verse as a food lover. It's like tasting something so wonderful that you have to ask the cook, what's in this...and with a broad grin the cook explains, well most folks put allspice in their's, but not me...I put cinnamon. John is telling us what is not in love. NO FEAR... PERFECT LOVE CASTS OUT FEAR. fear has torment (you know that's true) so there's none of that is in God's love. Phillips Christian love—the highest and best gift 1 Corinthians 13: 1-3 If I speak with the eloquence of men and of angels, but have no love, I become no more than blaring brass or crashing cymbal. If I have the gift of foretelling the future and hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but the very secrets of God, and if I also have that absolute faith which can move mountains, but have no love, I amount to nothing at all. If I dispose of all that I possess, yes, even if I give my own body to be burned, but have no love, I achieve precisely nothing. 4 This love of which I speak is slow to lose patience—it looks for a way of being constructive. It is not possessive: it is neither anxious to impress nor does it cherish inflated ideas of its own importance. 5-6 Love has good manners and does not pursue selfish advantage. It is not touchy. It does not keep account of evil or gloat over the wickedness of other people. On the contrary, it is glad with all good men when truth prevails. 7-8a Love knows no limit to its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hope; it can outlast anything. It is, in fact, the one thing that still stands when all else has fallen. Corrie ten Boom says, "...and in my life everything had fallen." Even if you have read the hiding place please hear my heart and for that reason I ask you to go to my podcast. Believe me, this podcast is worth listening to. What you are about to hear is an absolute horror story. The devil intended to make Corrie's story a horror story, but he didn't have the power to do that. God turned Corrie's horror story into a love story. Corrie is not the hero in this story. this story is bigger than Corrie. But what Corrie did can change your troubled, pain filled, heart breaking story into a love story.

Over the past 20 years or so, there has arisen among spiritual teachers a certain mythology that has sunk its teeth into the psyche of the New Age, New Thought, Human Potential Movement adherents along with those who call themselves spiritual but not religious. It is the idea that fear opposes love. This idea is translated to mean that when one loves, one should not feel fear, and vice versa. It is based in the Biblical tenet that perfect love casts out fear. But we've got some real misunderstanding about what this means, and we've added a lot of shoulds and personal judgment, that can be damaging. Let' talk about love and fear today. Don't miss it.
