Our guest today is Albert Ok, a YouTuber and speed-climbing coach. Albert goes by the handle Professor Ok, and creates content that breaks down movement. He tries to break climbing down into its most fundamental parts in order to best understand it. He's also a talented speed climber, boulderer, and all-around athlete. But first, Andrew reports on a little local controversy from Chamonix regarding one of the most decorated alpine climbers of his generation who was prosecuted by an authoritarian politician, and what all of this means for the big thorny question of fixed gear in the mountains. Our final bit features the heavy psychedelic grooves of the band Pontiak. Episode 328 - Van Carney, Pen Druid Happy Monday, Thieves! We have a fun show today that touches on familiar themes we've discussed on the show over the years—namely those based around our many discussions with Evan Watson of Plan Bee. We found Evan's brethren in the hills of Virginia in the Carney brothers of Pen Druid Fermentation. The brothers play in the pscyh-rock band Pontiak by day and brew beer in their downtime using a wood-fired kettle and mostly spontaneous inoculation. Augie's in his full element here while Holl and Justin just sit back and listen. It was a fun time and we can't wait to get down to Virginia to visit these guys! Tune in here and let us know what you think. ***As always, you can email your questions, complaints, whimpers, or whines to us at stealthisbeerpodcast@gmail.com. We read everything we get and we'll try to respond as quickly as we can. If not online, then on air. And THANKS! You can subscribe to STB on iTunes and PLEASE LEAVE US A REVIEW!!! On this episode, we listen to “This is Living” by Pontiak, a rock band based out of Virginia. "Anxiety is excitement without the breath" - Fritz Perls "Look at it this way, there are many here among us for whom the life force is best represented by the livid twitching of one tortured nerve, or even a full-scale anxiety attack. I do not subscribe to this point of view 100%, but I understand it, have lived it. Thus the shriek, the caterwaul, the chainsaw gnarlgnashing, the yowl and the whizz that decapitates may be reheard by the adventurous or emotionally damaged as mellifluous bursts of unarguable affirmation." - Lester Bangs Share this episode from our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ClinicalBOPulations) to help get the word out. IMPERFECTION From birth we are bombarded with images, Magazines with the perfect bodies on pages. Flickering screens with thespians so lovely, None wants to be identified as ugly. Society has it's accepted high bars, Slim and trim or sexy and curvy are stars. Too thin or too fat brings you whispers, Women so fast to forget the bond of sisters. Mean comments fly on social media, Soon as that picture goes up of Felicia. Never mind the person who is depicted, Or how this may get them heavily conflicted. So many derogatory comments fly free, So many perfect onlookers sipping tea. Somebody somewhere looks in a mirror, "That looks just like me..." is their thought in horror. How many must go through this ignominy? When do we learn to love others in true harmony? Pontiak
Marvelous Siren. Every inch of her being creates ripples, From her toes to her head indoctrinates. Her voluptuous lips are a temptation, Her eyes a true fascination. The breasts heaving with each breath so sublime, That waist I want to grab as I pull her close. The swerve of her hips and butt, As those marvelous legs stroll along. The arch of her calves call to me, As she steps past with her manicured toes. This vision of beauty that captured me, This Siren that has my heart racing. Pontiak
Those were the days, our friends knocking, 6 Am ... time to go jogging, on the beach training. Run out to the airport and back, All us kids who excelled at track. The smell of breakfast a sweet lure, Mom and Dad hustling out the door. Summer vacation in full delightful swing, Home alone to do our own thing. Chores done and time to play, Friends all gathered by middle of the day. Cricket and football in the street, Never mind the hot summer heat. A full day thoroughly enjoyed so much, Guys and girls all at play no bad touch. Such fun with boats run, the food a delight, We had great times, remember those days so right. Pontiak
A life lived for so many years, Loves enjoyed and lost in time, Dalliances with beauties so fine, Lessons about love and desire. It isn't about the size of the breasts, It's about that breast touching your chest. Nor is it about how round is the butt, It's about that butt coming to you for touches. Lips that are full and inviting is nice, Even nicer if touching yours exclusively. Eyes that are as bright as stars, Mean nothing if not looking only for you. A voice so velvety is so sweet to hear, Sweeter if she shares her ambitions with you. Arms and legs so delightfully sexy, Pray that they only wrap around you. Love is so wonderful when shared exclusively. Pontiak
As the sun rose in the east so surely, I rose from my deep slumber surly. Another day of labor does steadily await, Slowly moving aching body to shower straight. Feeling hot water run across muscles so tense, Shampoo my hair, no longer that dense. Somewhat refreshed and dried slipping into gear, Buzzing around the kitchen for food fare. Fed and energized I head out the door. Feet in motion smoothly gliding over the floor. The cool morning air caresses my face, The wintry touch hastening my pace. Now in the car, engine smoothly warming, Checking the equipment, Apps up and running. First job beeping demanding my attention, Pulling out to go provide transportation. On the road now with morning conversation, Getting good folks to their desired destination. Another day on the road meeting souls, We each out here playing our individual roles. Pontiak

Love True Love is never forced or demanded It is freely given and received. Love is to be revered and treasured Disdain not the one who loves true. Walk in love hand in hand, heart to heart, Rejoice in it's discovery and practice. Love each other strongly yet tenderly. Be faithful and confident in each other. Let none plant seeds of doubt in you. Trust in each other's feelings and words. Pontiak
Years of relationships experienced in life, Some produced joy while others brought strife. All served to teach patience and wisdom, For a few I was ready to abdicate my kingdom. The ups and downs of emotions took a toll, So many times I had to just go for a stroll. Patience tested with foibles that brought tears, Humour I learnt to use, to alleviate fears. A soft tone always advisable when heated, Keep that temper quiet and calmly seated. Our priorities too many times had differences, Arguments flared threatening love's defences. Allowing commitment to others to Trump ours, Busy away from each other too many hours. Forgotten special events that grew us close, Brain lapse on important dates, emotions froze. Happy moments were had on many occasions, If only there were far less emotional fluctuations. Lovers must remember we are here for each other, Not all the relatives and friends rather. I will give you my every attention guaranteed, Here to bring you smiles when in need. I am here for you, us and ours, full force, Not for others coming to the table for a four course. Rockefeller or Gates is not my name or fate, Accept my love, don't leave it at the gate. Pontiak.

My Journey Through the years of turmoil on this earth, I have sought to find my place, my berth. Struggled to plant my seeds to gain growth, Through the hardships I have tenaciously fought. The best laid plans have often been to no avail, Fate often interferes to test my resolve on the trail. Hurdles I have had to leap over on my quest, Many a path taken in my drive to be the very best. Lessons learnt along the way and noted well, Experiences that taught me to navigate through hell. But despite the arduous times I still can beam a smile, At the humor that lies alongside the stress in each mile. No obstacle shall be allowed to steal my joy, Not even when someone treats my heart as a toy. Challenges, it is said, builds great character, What I do know is that I have a heavenly benefactor. No matter the road still to travel in this life, I am sure that I shall overcome all earthly strife. With faith and love as my trusty guide and tools, I am equipped to overcome all trials and fools. Lovers Remembering those days spent together, The times we had ingrained in memory forever. Dinners eaten while looking into each other's eyes, Out at the wharf oblivious to the buzzing flies. Wiping each other's lips with flimsy napkins, The way we called each other sweet Pumpkins. Those hot nights when we showered together, Scrubbing each other's backs so soft and tender. Water cascading over us as we felt passion, Making love in all forms and multiple fashion. Us and we were our vernacular so sweet, Our love was obvious to all whom we did meet. Just to lock eyes was a flame ignited to high heat, Long hours in bed caressing head to feet. No area was safe from spontaneous eruption, Love's volcanoes in our groins, primed for disruption. Ever ready was our bodies for our union, Melding together in passion was no confusion. When did that raw understanding dissolve, A question we both ask now, seeking solutions to solve. Maybe we are thinking too hard and cerebral, Just get back to raw emotions of rhythm and conjugal. Pontiak

Marvelous Siren. Every inch of her being creates ripples, From her toes to her head indoctrinates. Her voluptuous lips are a temptation, Her eyes a true fascination. Dream Love Dreams of us permeates my nights so thrilling, In them you are indeed, to me, loving so willing. The passion we share there is so intense, The love between us all wrongs do cleanse. The words you utter each night, promise fidelity, That flame in your eyes burn bright in sincerity. The moments we share, full of sweet delights, A world built just for us, two lovers in heat, The strength of our feelings keeps us upbeat. If in reality, this type of love we could obtain, Together we would ride a passionate love train. Would that what we have, could match the dreams, Our time together, would produce passion screams. To hold you close, as in my dreams and make love, To feel your softness in my arms, my tender dove. My love for you, transcends all planes of existence, Reality or dreamland, I love you with true persistence. Pontiak
Wind Rider May The storm is nothing but my playground, Riding the winds like a surfer in the tube, I am in control, I control my ultimate destiny, The lightning is my personal spotlight, The rainfall is my sweet scented shower, The thunder is merely my drumbeat to my song, I am in control, I am the conductor here, The symphony plays to my directions, I am the controller that smooths out the clouds, I say when the ride ends and the clouds dissipate, Know that all storms are mine to ride to sunlight. Clothing optional as you enter my abode, Sashaying across my threshold so sexily. Anticipation seen gleaming in your eyes, Nipples firm with excitement and glee. Have a seat on my settee, sip a glass of wine, Run your tongue seductively across glass's rim. Watch me as i prepare a repast for your dining, Observe me checking out your voluptuous curves, Delighting in your sensuous beauty so rabid. Yes come on by my dear and allow me to entertain, Let's entice each other in such daring temptations. Be bold and brave as you enter my den of inequity, No reservation needed, just come as is, with Love. Pontiak

Guardians Jamaica...Island in the sun... our home, So many areas of such beautiful warmth, Waterfalls and rivers that astound eyes, Beautiful scenes of majestic mountains and valleys. What is this dark cloud that hangs over our land? It is fed by palpable fear on every corner, Tears are now the Waterfalls of dire note, Mothers and fathers tense about our children safety. Predators roam our Shores like Tyrannosaurus Rexes. Preying on our citizens with ravenous blood lust, Gangs so violent, no life is sacred or honored, The 4 horsemen seem to be roaming our streets. Wherefore art tho protectors of the kingdom? Where are the guardians of our sacred peace? Where are our Knights to keep our children safe? Have we forsaken our hallowed communities? Rise up bold Knights and stand in unison, Protectors of the realm is our duty, our task, Honor and love for our women and children, Protect our Villages from dark forces so rampant. We control our destiny, not the spawns of hell, Gather ye Knights to guard our streets and homes, Earth Angels is your new designation today, Dutiful watchers, quick to action, peace you bring. Watch and protect our people for we are men, Shrink not in the face of danger for we are bold, Maintain the peace, be wise and diligent, We are the Guardians of our Communities. Pontiak

MOONLIGHT SO BRIGHT You appeared at a time of turmoil, A bright beacon among our toil. We looked up at your glow in awe, In your light a new hope we saw. Great was our distress at events, In your glow stewed contentment. Now with your arrival came insight, As we sought to address our blight. The Beacon you are for our sight, That shows the path is in The Light. The travails on this earthly plain, May seem to become a runaway train. But in the grand scope of the universe, Only a tiny footnote, a very tiny verse. This too shall pass into man's history, Another bump in the road of destiny. So much more to be accomplished, Foolhardy us are to be admonished. All that happens brings a new moon, Opens eyes and make many swoon. On this tiny speck in billions of specks, The human experience is circumspect. So much to be learnt, still not gleaned, From the stars, answers are beamed. Pontiak
The Bride I brought her up to be wise and strong, Now he's come along to take her away. She is my breath, my life, my daughter, Know treasure you now have obtained. This is my lifeblood you are wedding, Guard her as well as I have to this moment, Treat her well or feel the brunt of my wrath. Be good to her and love her true and strong. My baby is now a woman and soon a mom, To you I bequeath this total gift of a wife, Be man enough and husband enough to her. I will cry now to see her transition today, But tomorrow smile to have gained a son. Pontiak

Love....Four letters that cause great joy..and much pain depending on whether it is Returned in like or is unrequited. It gives great drive to many to do their best in hopes of impressing and winning over the one they love. One big misconception is that we are ruled by our hearts in this regard... Totally wrong. Our hearts are nothing but an organ that pumps our blood and keeps us alive. Love is fed by our minds and our emotions and our needs and wants. We do indeed choose who we attach our emotions to...rightfully so or tragically so. We ... our conscious mind makes that choice much as we wish to blame our heart as we have been programmed to believe in all the romanticism fed to us. Love... who we love..when we love...and how we love is up to us and our choices. We are wholly responsible for all we do in that regard. We make a conscious decision to allow our emotions to attach to a person in our romanticized thought processing. When all seems to be going haywire in the relationship and our rational mind says bail out now...we tend to lean on the romantic notion that we can fix it all to work. Logic takes a backseat...our decision..not the heart's which is probably cussing out the brain and emotions for endangering it's welfare by putting the body through so much stress and tension. Love is to be enjoyed and shared with respect, tenderness kind words and actions. Failing to acquire these tenets from a prospective partner .. have the good sense to bail before you get so involved it becomes a pariah on your existence to continue being around someone you have come to detest who denigrates you. Choices...it is what separates us from the other creatures..the ability to reason and become proactive towards our own welfare. Choose wisely...Love Wisely. Pontiak
Nightlife There was a time when the nights were adventurous, Never alone for long as finding a lover was never ardous. The choices were varied and always eager, That there would be one ready and able was a safe wager. Then life changes brought that welcome fidelity, Marriage and kids brought a much needed stability. Years later having lived that life to its terminal end, Separate roads taken as emotions failed to blend. Now older and wiser, temptation on every corner, As you check all aspects of a union slow to show ardor. Not about wanton passion and fleshy joys anymore, Maturity has taught patience and as you seek to be sure. Nights seem so lonely as you refrain from delight, Searching for that special one in your scrutinising sight. Making her your partner in all that you do is right, Blending with her in all areas will bring glorious nights. Pontiak

Forbidden Love He snuck by the overseers stealthily, Well aware of the eminent danger. But he just had to see and hold her, Love and passion his driving force. He would have gone through hell for her. She was waiting, in eager anticipation, She needed to feel his strong arms. His presence gave her reassurance, That the days could be bearable. Their passion enabled them to survive, Indignities and cruel whips failed to cool passion. Each rendezvous brought untold joy, Their love blossomed for an year. Till he was sold to another plantation, And all that remained, the child in her.

Join the love Doctor Carl Pointiak for some great love song sunday .Songs have been written about every topic imaginable, but the best ones -- from swooning '50s ballads to contemporary club bangers -- have been penned about the ups and downs of being in love. In celebration of Valentine's Day, we are counting down the top 50 Hot 100 hits with a form of the word "love" in the title. The romantic tunes cover all seven decades of the Hot 100's history, ranging from 1958's "To Know Him Is to Love Him" by the Teddy Bears to 2011's "We Found Love" by Rihanna. It's sonic proof that while musical fads and fashions will change with every generation, love -- and the songs inspired by it -- will never go out of style.
