In this intense Bigfoot encounter episode, a veteran gold prospector shares chilling firsthand experiences from deep in the wilderness of Southern Oregon and Northern California. While prospecting for gold near Cave Junction, Oregon, Josephine Creek, and remote parts of Sierra County, Plumas County, and the American River, what began as a mining adventure quickly turned into a terrifying encounter with something powerful, intelligent, and unseen. The guest recounts being stalked, followed, screamed at, and physically shaken by heavy bipedal footsteps, describing classic Bigfoot behaviors including wood knocks, triangulation, warning vocalizations, and intimidation displays. From night encounters near campfires to daylight experiences in extremely remote terrain, this episode explores how Bigfoot activity often overlaps with isolated gold-rich areas rarely visited by humans. You'll hear detailed accounts involving Oregon Caves, Happy Camp, Feather River Canyon, and areas near Lake Tahoe, along with discussions on Bigfoot intelligence, territorial behavior, survival instincts, and why prospectors frequently report Sasquatch encounters. This episode also dives into the emotional and psychological impact of these experiences and why many witnesses stay silent for years. If you're interested in Bigfoot sightings, Sasquatch encounters, wilderness horror stories, cryptids of the Pacific Northwest, or survival experiences in remote forests, this episode delivers a raw, firsthand account that challenges skepticism and raises serious questions about what lives deep in North America's wildest places. Resources:Adventure Person Youtube Channel - https://www.youtube.com/@AdventurePerson007

The company currently has six projects partnered with majors, including two with Newmont, three with OceanaGold, and the recently announced deal with Centerra.Yesterday, President & CEO Caleb Stroup was interviewed by Mining Stock Daily. The conversation dove into the prospect-generator model, why “multiple shots on goal” matter in a rising gold market, and how Headwater minimizes dilution while keeping a large amount of drilling funded by partners. Stroup also discussed the following:What's driving majors back into early-stage explorationThe ongoing discovery potential in the Western U.S., including NevadaHow technology—from drones to hyperspectral tools to LLMs—is changing exploration workflowsShifts in U.S. permitting and why sentiment toward domestic mining is improvingGold's outperformance vs. Bitcoin in 2025, including the surprising entry of Tether into the gold sector

Clonal mast cell disease is often missed because symptoms vary from person to person, tryptase levels can be normal, and bone marrow biopsies are hard to get. For some people, unexplained or very severe anaphylaxis may be an early sign of a clonal mast cell disease. In this episode, we review “Prevalence of KIT D816V in anaphylaxis or systemic mast cell activation,” published in October 2025 in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. This paper, known as the PROSPECTOR trial, is looking at how often the KIT D816V mutation can be found using a blood test in adults who have had anaphylaxis or systemic mast cell activation symptoms. We break down why KIT D816V matters, how it connects to systemic mastocytosis, why HaT needs to be considered, and how newer blood tests may help doctors catch clonal mast cell disease earlier. What we cover in our episode about KIT D816V and anaphylaxis: Setting the stage: Understanding mast cell activation and anaphylaxis. Why KIT D816V matters: How this mutation fits into clonal mast cell disease, what blood testing can reveal, and when doctors still turn to a bone marrow biopsy. Making sense of tryptase and hereditary alpha-tryptasemia (HaT): Why baseline tryptase, the “20% + 2” rule, and HaT can make screening more complicated than it seems. What the PROSPECTOR trial uncovered: How often KIT D816V appeared in people with anaphylaxis, and other results on tryptase and HaT. How this helps patients: What these findings mean for anyone with unexplained or severe anaphylaxis, and how doctors combine KIT testing, tryptase, HaT, and symptoms to decide on next steps. Interview with Colin Smith, Director & CEO of TooGood GoldRecording date: 27th November 2025TooGood Gold Corporation is developing an early-stage, district-scale high-grade gold project in northern Newfoundland, positioning itself within one of Canada's most active exploration regions. The company acquired the property through a favorable earn-in agreement with Prospector Metals, which made the initial discovery before redirecting focus to its Yukon assets. Under CEO Colin Smith, a geologist with 20 years of experience including roles at SSR Mining and Discovery Group, TooGood has expanded the land package from 110 km² to over 164 km², systematically consolidating ground along regional structural trends. The flagship Quinlan discovery demonstrates exceptional potential, with Prospector's initial 2022 drilling intersecting visible gold in 15 of the first 19 holes. The standout intersection delivered 24 meters at approximately 4 g/t gold, with Smith characterizing these as "70 to 80 plus gram-meter holes in the first swing of the bat, which in my experience is pretty rare." The geological model features a felsic intrusive dyke within black shale that extends to surface, providing clear targeting parameters. Smith notes the system "lines up like poker straight like a book" in 3D modeling, though the team seeks structural complexities where the dyke might expand to "20, 30, 40 meters of thickness."TooGood completed a 33-hole, 2,000-meter drill program in summer 2025, with results pending for 19 holes. The company has also consolidated the Golden Nugget property, featuring an 8.5-kilometer coastal trend averaging over 1 g/t gold in rock samples that remains largely untested. With over $4 million in treasury and five additional drill-ready targets identified, TooGood maintains full funding for its 2026 exploration program. The project sits on the same structural corridor as Equinox Gold's producing Valentine Lake mine and near New Found Gold's Queensway deposit, providing validated geological analogues within a mining-friendly jurisdiction offering year-round access and established infrastructure.Sign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

In the spring of 1972, a man chasing gold and glory ventured deep into the Yukon wilderness, dreaming of striking it rich. But what began as a hopeful mining expedition soon unraveled into a two-month nightmare that would haunt him for the rest of his life. Fresh from Vietnam and toughened by work on the Alaska Pipeline, he believed no wilderness could break him. When he purchased the mineral rights to an abandoned 1950s claim—once owned by a prospector named Dutch Hanson who mysteriously vanished after a promising start—he ignored every red flag. Gold fever clouded his judgment, and soon he would realize the true cost of his ambition. After flying into a remote valley with a bush pilot, he built a cabin and began working his sluice box along a promising creek bend. The gold was there—steady and consistent, just as Hanson's notes promised. But something was wrong. The forest was unnaturally quiet. No birds. No bears. No life at all. Then came the night screams. Unnatural wails echoed through the valley, rising and falling with a haunting, almost human cadence. The sounds were answered from multiple directions, as though the darkness itself were alive. He tried to rationalize it—wolves, perhaps—but deep down he knew better. Soon, massive spruce trees began snapping eight feet above the ground, sheared off with tremendous force. Then came the knocks—sharp, rhythmic wood-on-wood impacts echoing through the valley, back and forth, as if some unknown intelligence were communicating. One afternoon, while working the creek, he heard a rapid series of popping sounds surrounding him—mouth clicks, moving in a circle, coordinated and deliberate. Something was out there. Watching. Stalking. Thinking. The proof came in the form of tracks—eighteen inches long, five toes, a five-foot stride. Too human to be a bear, too large to belong to any known species. And then, the unthinkable: he turned at the water's edge to find an eight-foot creature watching him from the treeline. Covered in dark, shaggy hair with a conical head and intelligent eyes, it showed no fear—only dominance. When it struck a nearby tree with a thunderous slap, others answered from the forest. He was surrounded. That night, the creatures attacked. Rocks rained down on his cabin for hours, splintering wood and shaking the structure. Multiple voices filled the night—the deep, resonant roar of the alpha male, the shrill screams of the female, and the higher-pitched cries of a juvenile. They circled his camp, making it clear he was not welcome. By dawn, his camp was destroyed. Tools twisted, the sluice box shattered, and every ounce of gold gone. The message was unmistakable: leave. He fled the valley, trailed by the creatures' heavy knocks and distant cries. At the final creek crossing, the massive male appeared once more—silent, watchful, ensuring he never returned. He never did.Because some places aren't meant for humans, some fortunes aren't worth the price, and some legends should remain undisturbed in the wild. This is the story of one man's hunt for Yukon gold… and the terrifying encounter that made him believe in something that shouldn't exist.

Recording date: 2nd October 2025Welcome back to Compass, Olive Resource Capital's weekly markets and portfolio insights show, hosted by Derek MacPherson (Executive Chairman) and Sam Pelaez (President, CEO & CIO). Each week, we cut through the noise in mining and metals, highlighting the most important macro developments and drilling down into the companies shaping our portfolio. In this episode, we unpack a week of pivotal news for both major gold producers and junior explorers. At the very top of the market, Newmont and Barrick—two of the world's largest gold companies—announced leadership changes on the same day. Newmont's move was a planned succession from COO to CEO, signaling stability and continuity as the company enters a new phase of growth. Barrick, however, surprised the market with an interim appointment following the sudden departure of Mark Bristow. This contrast highlights the broader cycle shift from defensive, balance-sheet-focused leadership to growth-oriented CEOs ready to capitalise on a bull gold market. The coincidence of both announcements has reignited speculation about deeper industrial alignment. With Nevada Gold Mines and Pueblo Viejo already jointly operated, strategic synergies are clear. A combined or further integrated entity could also benefit from passive investment flows, with Newmont's S&P 500 inclusion forcing index-tracking funds to increase their exposure. While no deal has been announced, the industrial and financial rationale for closer alignment between Newmont and Barrick is stronger than ever.Beyond the majors, the week delivered extraordinary news from Olive's portfolio companies. Sterling Metals announced a discovery hole at its Soo Copper project in Ontario - 262 metres at 1% copper equivalent—re-rating the stock by more than 200% in a single day. Years of geological groundwork positioned the company for this success, underscoring the importance of disciplined preparation.Prospector Metals delivered another standout intercept: 44 metres at 13 g/t gold with 1.8% copper at its Mike Lake project. Shares surged nearly 280% and have held those gains. As part of the Discovery Group, Prospector demonstrated how systematic geological work and strong stewardship can unlock transformative discoveries.By contrast, Midnight Sun Mining illustrates the risk of overextended valuations. The company reported nearly 40 metres at .5% copper from its Dumbwa target in Zambia, yet shares fell around 20% as the market had already priced in perfection. The case highlights why entry point and expectations matter as much as geological success. The financing environment also shows renewed strength, with over C$100 million raised across juniors in the past week. With seasonal drill programs now underway, investors should expect a steady cadence of results through year-end. Majors may also lean further into M&A, project acceleration, and capital returns as gold prices remain near record highs.

Board Fundraising That Actually Works: 4 Roles, Zero Panic!

Julia C. Patrick and Tony Beall turn board jitters into momentum with a simple, generous framework: four board roles that make fundraising feel natural, human, and actually fun. Julia sets the tone with a zinger that boards will remember: “This is not a no situation. This is a KNOW situation.” From there, Tony maps the path: “Prospector, cultivator, solicitor, and steward—four very simple roles that are really impactful.”Prospectors spark the pipeline by looking at real relationships—LinkedIn, circles of influence, workplace connections—to spot people who might love your mission. Julia notes this is the one job every board member can do without sweaty palms. Cultivators then step in as brand ambassadors, sharing stories, hosting small gatherings, and learning what lights a supporter up—without making the ask. Think hype team with heart!Next up: solicitors. Some board members truly enjoy asking (yes, unicorns exist). Tony clarifies that “strength in numbers” doesn't mean bringing a stranger to the ask; the right voice in the room is the one with an authentic relationship. Finally, stewards keep the glow going—handwritten notes, quick calls, social shout-outs, tours—feeding the feedback loop so staff and board hear what donors feel and see. Introverts rejoice: stewardship offers tons of low-pressure ways to shine.Julia and Tony keep it real about energy, fit, and growth. Not everyone will love every role, but everyone can contribute somewhere—and many will stretch into new skills with a little structure and encouragement. The pair celebrate their new book, The Architecture of Fundraising (artwork by Tony, applause from Julia), and salute Executive Producer Kevin Pace for nudging the dream into reality.Bottom line: pick your lane, keep the lanes moving, and talk about them at every board meeting with intention. When board members match their temperament to the right role, confidence rises, the process hums, and your mission gets the fuel it deserves.Find us Live daily on YouTube!Find us Live daily on LinkedIn!Find us Live daily on X: @Nonprofit_ShowOur national co-hosts and amazing guests discuss management, money and missions of nonprofits! 12:30pm ET 11:30am CT 10:30am MT 9:30am PTSend us your ideas for Show Guests or Topics: HelpDesk@AmericanNonprofitAcademy.comVisit us on the web:The Nonprofit Show
