In this KE Report Company Update, I chat with Rob Carpenter, President & CEO of Prospector Metals (TSX.V:PPP - OTCQB:PMCOF - FSE:1ET), following the company's discovery hole announced October 1st at the ML Project in the Yukon. Hole 31 intersected 13.9 g/t gold and 1.9% copper over 44 meters, including a higher-grade core of 21.8 g/t gold over 24 meters. This hole confirmed a brand-new discovery, dubbed the TESS Zone, located beside the North Vein Zone. Both zones were intersected by the same hole - just one of two holes drilled in this area during a 39-hole, 6,648-meter program. Key Discussion Points: Discovery details: How Hole 31 revealed multiple stacked mineralized zones and parallel structures. Targeting strategy: Use of LiDAR and WorldView satellite data to pinpoint blind mineralization near surface. Follow-up results: Hole 32 assays pending, with more from the Bueno, Scarn Ridge, and other zones coming soon. Next steps: Plans to triple next year's drill program with three rigs testing expansion, parallel zones, and new targets. At the very top of the market, Newmont and Barrick—two of the world's largest gold companies—announced leadership changes on the same day. Newmont's move was a planned succession from COO to CEO, signaling stability and continuity as the company enters a new phase of growth. Barrick, however, surprised the market with an interim appointment following the sudden departure of Mark Bristow. This contrast highlights the broader cycle shift from defensive, balance-sheet-focused leadership to growth-oriented CEOs ready to capitalise on a bull gold market.The coincidence of both announcements has reignited speculation about deeper industrial alignment. With Nevada Gold Mines and Pueblo Viejo already jointly operated, strategic synergies are clear. A combined or further integrated entity could also benefit from passive investment flows, with Newmont's S&P 500 inclusion forcing index-tracking funds to increase their exposure. While no deal has been announced, the industrial and financial rationale for closer alignment between Newmont and Barrick is stronger than ever.Beyond the majors, the week delivered extraordinary news from Olive's portfolio companies. Sterling Metals announced a discovery hole at its Soo Copper project in Ontario - 262 metres at 1% copper equivalent—re-rating the stock by more than 200% in a single day. Years of geological groundwork positioned the company for this success, underscoring the importance of disciplined preparation.Prospector Metals delivered another standout intercept: 44 metres at 13 g/t gold with 1.8% copper at its Mike Lake project. Shares surged nearly 280% and have held those gains. As part of the Discovery Group, Prospector demonstrated how systematic geological work and strong stewardship can unlock transformative discoveries.By contrast, Midnight Sun Mining illustrates the risk of overextended valuations. The company reported nearly 40 metres at .5% copper from its Dumbwa target in Zambia, yet shares fell around 20% as the market had already priced in perfection. The case highlights why entry point and expectations matter as much as geological success.The financing environment also shows renewed strength, with over C$100 million raised across juniors in the past week. With seasonal drill programs now underway, investors should expect a steady cadence of results through year-end. Majors may also lean further into M&A, project acceleration, and capital returns as gold prices remain near record highs.

On the day the Lakon Type-11 Prospector becomes available in early access for anyone with at least 16,500 ARX to spare, Lakon launches a trial to demonstrate just how good their new ship is. Squadron Carriers unexpectedly aquire a Commodities Market. System Architects get to demolish some of what they built. Archon Delaine has four systems confiscated, to make more room for new Commanders. And there's a planetary collision coming up in the Reienadi system.

Lakon Spaceways has made some dramatic improvements to the Type-11 Prospector mining rig ahead of its release next week, making it far and away the best mining ship in the Galaxy.

There are rumours that Lakon Spaceways is planning a 2-week trial of its soon-to-be-released Type-11 Prospector. Some eager would-be participants are already in position. The initiative is expected to start on the day the Type-11 Prospector is released for early access, likely some time next week.

The release of the Lakon Type-11 Prospector has been delayed by a week, to allow improvements to its performance. And Zachary Rackham's initiative to search the Galaxy for clues to the Terri Tora mystery has concluded, but with little indication that any progress has been made.

Julia C. Patrick and Tony Beall turn board jitters into momentum with a simple, generous framework: four board roles that make fundraising feel natural, human, and actually fun. Not everyone will love every role, but everyone can contribute somewhere—and many will stretch into new skills with a little structure and encouragement. Colt and David sit down with actor, singer and songwriter Rob Mayes.  Mayes is best known for his role in the ABC hit-series “Mistresses”, "The Neon Highway" with Beau Bridges and Lee Brice, and the Sundance cult-classic “John Dies at the End.”  Mayes has released several singles over the course of 2019 and early 2020 including “Road With No Lines”, a bluesy track “My Heart is Bleeding” along with his debut single, “Closer.”  Other recently released tracks include “Kiss The Night” which premiered on Billboard, “We'll See” which premiered on The Boot and “Prospector” which premiered on Sounds Like Nashville.  Mayes has been featured on the Spotify editorial playlists, "Breakout Country," "Fresh Finds: Country," & “New Music Nashville.”  “Closer” has received airplay from Country radio stations across the US and the music video was included as part of CMT's “Next Up Now” series. Hey Reservos! This week we are discussing the 1942 version of the Charlie Chaplin classic, The Gold Rush. Listen as we breakdown this incredibly crafted romantic comedy full of wit, charm, and heart. 

They found the grizzled prospector's body slumped over a sample of ore on the floor of the rude log cabin he'd been staying in, deep in the wilderness of southern Oregon, late in the spring of 1897. He'd apparently dropped dead one evening while assaying out the samples he'd gathered that day – probably poisoned by some of the chemicals he was using. But this wasn't just any random gold prospector. This badly decomposed body was all that was mortal of the most famous prospector of the American West ‑ and certainly one of the richest and most successful: Ed Schieffelin, the man who discovered and named the Tombstone mine in Arizona. And by the time Ed's body was securely buried under a tall miner's cairn near Tombstone, the hills near that cabin were already alive with eager prospectors following up on the “lost gold mine” legends that sprang up following his death. At least one of those legends is still bringing hopeful prospectors out into the hills of Southern Oregon today.... He saw 40 $150,000+ yearling sales, with a top price of $700,000.An $800,000 Keeneland September yearling, Liam's Map is out of the stakes-winning Trippi mare Miss Macy Sue, and is a half-brother to graded winner Not This Time and black-type winner Taylor S. Liam's Map's pedigree carries only one cross of Northern Dancer in the sixth generation, so his pedigree will be an ideal outcross for mares inbred to Northern Dancer. Since Liam's Map's pedigree largely consists of horses bred by or based on pedigrees of horses bred by John Nerud, it should also be beneficial to emphasize female families associated with Nerud other than Aspidistra.(UPDATED FEB 1, 2025)

His 2023 winners include multiple G2 winner Hoist the Gold and G2 winner and G1 Pegasus placed Senor Buscador.Mineshaft has seen lifetime two-year-old sales of up to $1,750,000 and boasts three seven-digit yearlings. Mineshaft is a leading son of the legendary A.P. Indy out of the multiple Grade 1-winning mare Prospectors Delite. He is a full sibling to G1 winner Tomisue's Delight and hails from an exceptionally deep female family which includes G1 winners Mr. Sidney, Flagbird, Little Belle, and Runup The Colors.Mineshaft is out of a mare by Mr. Prospector, but has sired 11 stakes winners out of Mr. Prospector line mares and multiple stakes winners from the Damascus line. Twirling Candy is following in his father's legendary footsteps at Lane's End Farm. A son of Candy Ride (Arg), Twirling Candy has sired 21 graded stakes winners, seven millionaires, and nine Grade 1 winners. In 2024, he added new G1 winner Iscreamuscream, winner of the Del Mar Oaks (G1) and the San Clemente H. (G2). Other 2024 GSWs include Ag Bullet (G2, G1 placed), Walkathon (G3), Two Sharp (G3), and Where's My Ring (G3).His 2023 GSWs include: G1 winner Exaulted, millionaire Gear Jockey, Evvie Jets and Dream Shake. 2023 also proved to be a great year for his two-year-olds, with 26 winners, including black type winners Where's Chris and Move to Gold. This success on the track was reflected in the sales ring. His yearling average increased to $160,064 and had seven-figure yearling and two-year-old sales.Twirling Candy is out of the Chester House mare House of Danzig, making him a half-sibling to G2 winner Ethnic Dance. Multiple Champion Affirmed can be found farther down his page. Candy Ride has already shown a remarkable affinity for the Storm Cat branch of the Northern Dancer line. Other branches of the Northern Dancer line to provide the dams of Candy Ride stakes winners are Sadler's Wells (sire of El Prado; grandsire of Medaglia d'Oro and Kitten's Joy), Nureyev (from a mare by Theatrical), Danzig and Dixieland Band. Candy Ride has found success with a wide variety of mares by stallions that descend from the Nasrullah line, with three stakes winners from mares by In Excess, as well as stakes winners out of mares by In Excess's son, Indian Charlie, and Cozzene. The Factor a top 10 General Sire by Winners in 2023, as well as being the #3 sire of two-year-olds by black type winners. His 2023 stakes winners include two-year-olds Appeal Factor, Grated Coconut and Tipsy Tales. Additional 2023 stakes winners include Aloha Breeze and Factor It in as well as graded stakes placed Piper's Factors.He's the sire of G1 winners Noted and Quoted and Cistron, as well as graded winners Charmaine's Mia (G2), Bound for Nowhere (G2), Factor This (G2), and Multiplier (G3). The Factor has proven to be successful at auction, with over 70 six-digit yearling sales up to $750,000.The Factor is a son of top sire War Front out of the Miswaki mare Greyciousness. War Front has enjoyed considerable success when bred over mares from the Mr. Prospector line, and has group winners from mares by Fappiano grandson Unbridled's Song. War Front has Grade 1 winners out of a Forty Nine mare and a daughter of Smart Strike, as well as stakes winners by daughters of Kingmambo and Pulling Punches.
