Acknowledgement of Country//Headlines//We replay a conversation between from Danielle & Shev about late diagnosis, privilege, getting services from an inadequate system, stigma and disability inclusion in activist spaces, originally broadcast for as part of 3CR's Disability Day special broadcast on the 3rd of December, 2025. This year's theme, "Right Relations & Innovations" was about disabled people's visions of a safe future for everyone, and the relationships and innovations that can get us there.//The end of year holiday period can be hard for queer people for so many different reasons. Whether or not you celebrate Christmas, it's a time that can be really isolating due to friends and community going away on holiday, with less access to healthcare over public holidays. There are increased financial pressures and constant reminders of idealised family relationships. To learn more about supporting yourself and others during this time, today we are joined by Bec Smith from QLife - a peer support service run by community for community. Bec has spent the better part of the past decade working and volunteering in the digital mental health sector, and currently serves at LGBTIQ+ Health Australia as the Associate Director for QLife, which runs in partnership with Twenty10 (NSW), Switchboard (Vic), Living Proud (WA), and Diverse Voices (Qld). BAN, a group of professionals from the built environment industry, argue that in addition to a lack of appropriate consideration of the plans' impact on residents, the government is still failing to provide a reasonable justification for wholesale demolition and redevelopment of the towers despite the significant social, environmental and economic costs. You can read and sign BAN's open letter here.//Ilo Diaz from the Centre Against Racial Profiling joins us to unpack the function, declaration and impact of ‘designated areas' in Victoria. Ilo has been tracking the announcement of designated areas around Victoria over the past few years, looking at the frequency and duration of these zones where police are additionally empowered to do things like search people without a warrant, move them along, and remove face coverings. Last week, Human Rights Law Centre filed a challenge in federal court against the Victorian Assistant Police Commissioner's recent declaration of the entire Melbourne CBD and surrounds as a designated area for 6 months, starting from 30 November 2025. Head to the Federation of Community Legal Centre's website to find your local community legal centre for support if you have had contact with the police.//Lana Laham, disability support worker & community organiser, joins us to discuss Fun Run 4 Mutual Aid, a community-powered event bringing people together to move, connect, and raise funds for life saving mutual aid to Gazan, Sudanese & First Nations people. The main Fun Run event will take place on Sunday, February 1st 2026, 9 AM, at Footscray Park along the fully paved Maribyrnong River Trail. But you can run or walk, on the day or at a time that suits you! There are so many ways to get involved. Sign up and pledge to raise $1000 for these important initiatives by asking your friends and family to sponsor you. Walk with your pram, dog, mobility scooter, or sprint away, this is your chance to make every step count. Riverview Running Idiots 5 K Fun Run (Part of our Travelling Podcaster Series) In this episode of Motivate to Move, we hit the road once again for another stop in our Travelling Podcaster Series — this time with the Riverview Running Idiots! On November 27 at 6 PM, this fun-loving group gathered for their Idiots 5 K Fun Run, bringing together about 40 runners of all levels. Some were just wrapping up their Couch to 5 K journey, while others were seasoned runners — but everyone crossed the line with a smile. There were snacks, prizes, and plenty of laughter, plus a few great door prizes too. A special shout-out goes to Sam, who handcrafted all the medals in her spare time — they were absolutely amazing! We also want to recognize our event sponsor, Bumper to Bumper, who went above and beyond to make the night a success. What a fantastic job they did — along with all the volunteers who made it possible. Without Kendra, Julie, and Sam, events like this simply wouldn't happen. After the run, we chatted with several participants to capture the energy, stories, and community spirit that make small local events so special. Sometimes the best races aren't the biggest — they're the ones that bring people together.

Andy and Brendan! are joined by "The Boys" for this Wednesday episode in honor of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Andy is especially jazzed after a big Packers loss on national TV moving the Bears into a tie for first place in the NFC North. He attempts to once again besmirch Aaron Rodgers but quickly is moved to golf talk with a loaded schedule of events to discuss. Brendan attempts to deem the Butterfield as the "Event of the Week" but is shamed into giving it to the Schwab Cup Finals by Andy as a nod to PJ's continued Champions Tour coverage. Andy, Brendan, and Joseph LaMagna run through the field in Bermuda and Brendan shares his investigation into how some amateurs found their way into the event. The DP World Tour finals are next up on the "Schedule of the Week," with Rory McIlroy poised to secure yet another Race to Dubai win. The DPWT announced the new "Rory McIlroy Award" on Tuesday, now given to the European with the best performance across a year's four majors. To Brendan and PJ's surprise, Joseph reveals that Rory is ineligible for this award, leading to questions about why this even exists. The ANNIKA Driven by Gainbridge at the Pelican has made plenty of headlines due to a Kai Trump sponsor exemption and Caitlin Clark's Pro-Am round having extended coverage on Golf Channel. Finally, PJ previews the Charles Schwab Cup Championship as the 2025 Champions Tour season comes to a close. Andy makes plans for next year's swan song at Phoenix Country Club that involves PJ running a 5K race to raise money for colon cancer research. There's a brief discussion of some news surrounding the now-announced teams for the "Golf Channel Games," but Joseph isn't sure what to make of this made-for-TV spectacle. "The Boys" are then put on the hot seat by Andy and Brendan as they're quizzed about the future of "Lunch with The Boys," the Indianapolis Colts, and more.

This week we finish breaking down Fun Run. We start off with Jenna giving us the inside scoop on why we got so many big one hour episodes to start off Season 4, we get a Jenna and Angela BFF story for the books, and an amazing Fun Run wardrobe breakdown from wardrobe designer Carey Bennet. Then, we chat rabies quilts, answer everything you wanted to know about nipple chafing, and we get a 'fan soapbox' with an interesting take on who's responsible for the death of Sprinkles. Finally, Angela does a deep dive into how to properly carbo-load before a race and no, it's not downing fettuccine Alfredo seconds before a race. On your marks, get set, go! Or hop into a cab. Send us a text#353 - Every runner at some moment gets bored with our training. Maybe we're running the same routes, maybe we feel like nothing is ever changing, maybe we just feel "blah" when we head out for a run. I did an earlier episode how to make running more exciting if we get the Blahs, but this week, I'm focusing on one small part of that previous episode by giving you suggestions how to turn your training runs into "fun runs". It's not hard and may bring a new spark to your training! The medal in the picture is from a virtual race I did in 2020! I also have a website and app I want to suggest to help you plot out your running routes. I have no association with either of them, I just like them better than the others I've tried. When there is work to do, ground to cover, progress to make, we tend to want to get moving as quickly and efficiently and significantly as possible. We are bound and determined to make it happen, whatever “it” might be. And while we might begin with good intentions, it usually doesn't take long before we run ourselves ragged. We quickly grow exhausted, and end up leading with bitterness, cynicism, anxiety, and fear. It's so easy to get ahead of ourselves. To get ahead of our souls. Could there be a more sustainable way? There is work to do. And as followers of Jesus, I'm learning the way we approach it matters. What might this look like? Listen in.
