A police officer witnessed the pair tagging and taking a selfie. Both face charges including criminal damage and interference with government property. They were released on April 10 on $10,000 bonds. STORY 2: Root House Plant Sale and Antique Market Returns April 26 The annual Root House Plant Sale & Antique Market will take place on April 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the William Root House in Marietta. The event features antique and vintage items, heirloom and native Georgia plants, and fresh bouquets from Emma's Flower Truck. STORY 3: Cobb Sheriff's Employee Charged with Child Molestation, Fired Ivan Munoz, 44, a longtime Cobb County Sheriff’s Office employee, was fired after being arrested on two felony counts of aggravated child molestation. Munoz is accused of assaulting an 8-year-old girl twice in one day and is being held without bond. Sheriff Craig Owens terminated Munoz immediately upon learning of the charges, condemning the behavior as egregious and contrary to law enforcement values. Part of a larger PATH Foundation project, the Silver Comet Trail will eventually connect Atlanta to Alabama by 2026. Cobb’s $8 million contribution includes trail construction, bridge repairs, and road upgrades. Once finished, the trail will accommodate walkers, runners, and bikers, offering a seamless connection to the Atlanta Beltline. We hear from Geoff Gouveia, whose mural for LAFC was defaced by Galaxy fans in 2017, and Ms. Yellow, a muralist who's worked with the Galaxy. But no story about El Tráfico would be complete without an account of that blockbuster first meeting, featuring superstars Carlos Vela and Zlatan Ibrahimović. Because on March 31, 2018, all that buildup between the fans paid off. Squatter, Spray Paint, and Severed Water Lines, Oh My!   We have Joe Cohen on the show today sharing one of his past projects. This one is loaded with many lessons learned along the way. From dealing with an angry squatter to unbudgeted hot dogs, Joe never gave up and got this project to the finish line!   Joseph Cohen has extensive knowledge and background in the real estate and mortgage industry. With a focus and passion in Real Estate, he received his license in 2002 and became a top performing agent and loan specialist for IndyMac Bank and Countrywide. He then managed his own successful mortgage brokerage firm from 2006 through 2008. He is also licensed in Property & Casualty, Life & Health Insurance and has directed his own insurance agency before joining a large insurance company for eight years as the business development and sales manager. While there, he built valuable relationships, and through strategic planning and leadership was able to grow the agency. Joe was then recruited as a marketing field representative for the second largest earthquake insurance provider in California. A California native, he is an entrepreneur with a passion for inspiring others to perform at their highest level. He has been married to his wife Stacey for 16 years after meeting on a dating website and then realizing they attended the same high school and grew up in the same neighborhood. Together they enjoy renovating their home and spending time on the beach as well as traveling with their labradoodle, Molly. Joe is an avid waterman who enjoys surfing, fishing, and diving. A gentle method of causing an asteroid to miss planet Earth.Will spray paint save the world?Recently, NASA scientists using the giant RADAR telescope in Puerto Rico measured changes in the orbit of the asteroid Bennu. They found that a tiny sunlight pressure of 1/2 oz on this 68 million ton object has changed it's orbit about a hundred miles over a 12 year period of time. These NASA astronomers thus measured the Yarkovsky force which was first suggested by a Russian engineer more than a hundred years ago. This Yarkovsky force, named for its proposer, occurs because sunlight absorbed by an object in space is reradiated in a directional way and thus acts like a tiny rocket motor. It is likely that, over the eons, this tiny effect has changed the course of families of asteroids between Mars and Jupiter causing some of them to be sent in our direction.

Lia also known as "Doña Junta" is a former graffiti artist turned street archivist. Doña Junta runs the social media page swapmeet_chronicles which started off as an idea to highlight every day cultural happenings growing up in a Mexican household. The concept developed into a blog in 2007 in which Doña Junta documented the streets of Los Angeles from graffiti, personal stories, events, abandoned places AND MORE. Today, swapmeet_chronicles (with nearly 4,000 followers) evolved into research on the history of our streets, architecture of buildings, and social issues such as mass incarceration and prison advocacy through photos and research driven feature stories. In 2020, Doña Junta with co-host Sabrina Calderon created a podcast called Beyond the Façade to further discuss these places in detail and interview people who also create content in similar realms. Doña Junta has combined her interest in architecture with some of her podcast episodes where she and her co-host discuss the historical issues surrounding these buildings. And this includes state carceral institutions - juvenile and adult - and the issues that have taken place there.Her interest in these institutional buildings was also represented at the Slanguage exhibition: Ghosts of Our Youth: Abandoned Institutions and the Impact on Los Angeles Youth at Angels Gate Cultural Center in 2022. It included images of Juvenile Hall, alongside the video of her podcast discussion on how these institutions affected the youth that were there through the decades but particularly in the 80s and 90s.
