Well, since everyone's sharing their "first time we met" stories on social media, as it typically seems to be anniversary season, instead of getting annoyed, ... what the heck, I'll share mine too! What? Nat Kaos was actually in LOVE at one point? Believe it or not, it's true! It was the summer of 1992, when I visited Japan for the first time since childhood. It was there, when I met Izumi. When our eyes met, they instantly became glued, and next thing we know, we're chatting over a tea at a nearby cafe. Coming back to Canada was the last thing on my mind, as I REALLY wanted to spend more time with her, and possibly start our new chapter together. However, ultimately, we (reluctantly) agreed that, because our lives were different, in different places, we should go separate ways to take care of our own future plans first. However, we still dated each other for the rest of my summer in Japan, ... and on our last day together, at the Osaka airport, ... we held onto each other for what seemed like an hour. My shirt felt like wet towel from her tears, and pretty sure there was some "sense" of regret, that maybe, something COULD'VE worked, because I sure felt that way. However, disrupting her future plan was something I would not forgive myself for, so it was for the best. 34 years later, ... I'm pretty sure she followed up on her plan to become a nurse, and made a difference to thousands of lives, I know she made a difference in MY life. Even after just 3 months together, I'm a better person, because of her. I still think about her, she will always be my angel. Love you Izumi! As for this week's episode: yeah, little more heavier, ... and EVIL, than last week. It is the RAGE CAGE afterall. Summer of 1992: a year after my high school graduation, I visited Japan for the first time in 12 years. While there, I met this beautiful woman (my age) named Izumi, who I'm certain that she liked me! Hehehee! Anyways, one thing we talked about was our love of music, and I mentioned my favourite local volunteer-run radio station called CJSW. Izumi asked me if I ever thought of join them myself, and I replied: "Well, public speaking isn't really my thing", to which she replied: "Then why not use your theater background?", and that's when the bulb flashed in my head! After the tearful good-bye with everyone (especially Izumi! God, I wish she was mine!), it was back to Calgary, starting my University, and joining CJSW, which never would've happened if I hadn't met Izumi! Couple of new tunes already this year. 2026's sure looking good for Japanese metal, as LOVEBITES, ZILQY, and ASTERISM have shown! But, like I said earlier, still too early in the year, and some of us are still in the "reflective" mode, which I'm sure will change in about ... 11 month? Lol! Mix of Christmas metal, songs about winter, metal anthems, party tunes, on this last live broadcast of the Cage! I'll be disappearing for the next two weeks, but you'll still hear my voice (hopefully) while I'm away, as I have prepared for you some Holiday specials. December 26: Two hours of Transiberian Orchestra, followed by Motorhead's live (I'll keep you guessin' on that one) album. January 2 : Live albums from Crystal Viper, Saxon, and Yngwie Malmsteen. Well, thanks for another GREAT Rage Cage year, and I'll see you all in '26. Class is officially in session and Mista Malave is running the show tonight, with Big Money Eddie and Tommy James trying to figure out where in the world Sabrina Ace disappeared to — and trust us, it's a mystery worthy of its own horror flick. First up, we dive headfirst into the news of Netflix rebooting Cujo. Can lightning strike twice for the rabid St. Bernard? Or are we about to witness another doomed attempt to resurrect a classic? Then, things get dark — and we mean Longlegs dark. We break down the chilling new film starring Nicolas Cage and Maika Monroe, analyzing its haunting cinematography, unsettling performances, and yes — that Rage Cage moment that had us laughing. But the real question of the night: did that twist actually deliver? Of course, we couldn't leave you without our signature segments — Tommy James prescribes Longlegs some much-needed Therapy Session meds, Mista Malave digs into Glorious Gore, and Eddie drops some cryptic wisdom from the Cigarette Smoking Man himself. Who knows what horrors next week will bring — sharpen your pencils and take notes.
Christchurch is the latest city to get dedicated rage cage smash rooms, in an industrial area in Addington. For a fee you can wack the hell out of old appliances and smash up some glasses most of which are donated and once you have smashed them to bits, the staff step in and salvage the bits that can be recycled, Rage Cage co-owner Isaac Taylor spoke to Lisa Owen.
Will Paul bei Karos Geburtstag auflegen? Was ist denn passiert, liebe Karo? This week, Nathan and Clint stare into some glowy rocks for a single serving of Cage in Richard Stanley's Lovecraft adaptation Color Out of Space! Serving as a spiritual followup to Mandy (with its cosmic-horror stylings and full-on Rage Cage moments), Color Out of Space puts Cage in another tale of rural tranquility disrupted by neon-tinted ravings from the beyond. This time, he's the patriarch of a broken yet resilient family who retreats to the woods to repair long-festering emotional wounds, only to find themselves torn apart by a fuschia glow that emanates from a meteorite that lands in their backyard. Crops grow uncannily, people lose their minds, and alpacas take on new, horrific shapes -- all while Cage and co. flail against the unfathomable knowledge the "color" presents them. It's a lean, effective, genuinely haunting bit of cosmic horror, and the boys dig into why it gets under their skin so. Welcome to another Wednesday, Queerdos! We've got a heaping helping of hijinks and happenings for you this week. First, Kevin takes us on our inaugural voyage to CI's Rage Cage to infuriate us with the story of one of New York's “finest.” It turns out that there's a thin blue line between a business expense and wire fraud. Next, Edie beams us back up to the Fun Zone to talk about the Moon. What's inside that thing, huh? So keep your receipts, break free from the prison of the five-sense reality, and get ready for this week's show. Let's dive in! True Crime starts at 00:10:25 Spoopy Tale starts at 00:58:16 EDIE'S ‘BE MINE (OR ELSE)' SPOTIFY PLAYLIST:
Like all good episodes, this week's starts with an apology for last week's shambolic audio quality. The lads then go into detail on the troubleshooting efforts that took place to ensure clean audio for this week. Kushagra takes centre stage to use this platform to condemn the state of Adidas (or Abibas) shoes which caused him much pain and discomfort - could be user error, the jury is still out on this one. To round us out this week, Ro and Migs finally get their article and photos published in the AFR, Ro gets cucked by Hyperkarting and Miguel explains what the hell a Pinkydoll is.Our game this week is “Rage Cage,” however this version does not involve drinking or ping pong balls. Instead, the boys have a category and must name as many things within that category as fast as they can with no hesitation. The first person to falter with an answer loses the round and is mercilessly shot (with a nerf gun). In case being shot was not enough of an incentive, there is the small task of the forfeit come the end of the season. Points are at an all time premium with no one wanting to be the unlucky fella to do the Macca's Challenge. We have a new listener suggested segment this week with “Shiver Thoughts,” where we take a trip down memory lane to reveal embarrassing, cringe stories that make us shiver and shudder. Our first story is from the same listener who suggested the segment (duh) who tells us about a story from his childhood which involves a public bathroom and pooping, Kush then tells a story about fracturing his ankle while rizzing, Miguel tried to combine salt and pepper and Ro tells what will go down as an all time classic TCB story that needs to be heard to be believed. Also this week: Tech Support, Dictator Dan, Leaning Tower of Pizza and Unco Rizz.Segments this week:The Logue: Tired of reaching around each other (at least on the podcast), the boys have instead decided to reach around the week's news stories, events and viral trends.Rage Cage: A fast paced memory game where the first person to fail to name an item in the category gets shot.Shiver Thoughts: A segment where we reminisce about cringe memories that make us shiver in the shower.___________________________________________________________FULL PODCAST EPISODES
