Chaz got a clean bill of health from our regular vet yesterday! She stated the meds that the ER Vet started him on are working GREAT on his breathing issue. Working SO GOOD, she sent in a one-year script. His breed suffers from prolapsed heart valves leading to enlarged hearts and narrow esophagi (?)…esophagus's(?). The new meds open up his ability to breathe and lessen his coughing. Thanksgiving will have an even MORE SPECIAL meaning for me this year! My PSA blood work prostate cancer results are in and my levels dropped yet again to 0.3. Three and a half years with no growth of the demon inside that tried to kill me! If you are researching as to what to do for your cancer, I would recommend you research PROTON BEAM THERAPY. My urologist did not bring it up to me. As I was being my own advocate I was looking into other options when a radiation oncologist I went to asked me if I had considered it. She was the first one to ever talk to me about it. I contacted both the Santa Monica center and the center in Jacksonville. Both overnighted me the materials. I was chosen for a study group to do twice the time on the table under the proton beam for half the stay time. IT WORKED FOR ME. I also know it works for many other cancers. DO NOT WAIT FOR YOUR DOCTOR TO TELL YOU OR ASK YOU ABOUT IT! If you have a cancer you are worried about, contact the centers I mentioned above and ask questions! YOU gotta take care of YOU! “Things Will Be Different” The Little Murders formed out of the ashes of the punk outfit The Fiction. The Melbourne band first fired things up in 1979 and they've been crushing it ever since. Led by the British born Rob Griffiths, The Little Murders are one of those rare bands where every song is a winner. Seriously. Every single one. Their songs are hook-filled blasts of melodic pop that rips the cover off the ball every single time. Griffiths is a commanding frontman who just radiates charisma. Over the course of their brilliant career, the Murders have put out classic albums like First Light, We Should Be Home By Now, Dromona Rama and Dig For Plenty and to say they're still going strong would be an absurd understatement. They've never been better. They have a new EP out called Wait 'Til The Summer Comes, a new album on the way and a tribute album just landed called Things Will Be Different: A Tribute To The little Murders. www.littlemurders.bandcamp.com www.bombshellradio.com Stereo Embers: Twitter: @emberseditor IG: @emberspodcast Email: editor@stereoembersmagazine.com www.stereoembersmagazine.com www.alexgreenonline.com

Hello everyone! We usually post a new episode every other week but this week I thought I'd share a holiday story that I wrote that was shared on the Story Time podcast. It's about a boy named Henry who is having a tough time in a new neighbourhood…but things start to change once he starts making the biggest snowball of his life! It's read by my friend Rob Griffiths. If you like this or want to hear more bedtime stories, go over to bedtime.fm or find Story Time on Apple Podcasts. They have a lot of great stories that I think you'll really love! And you might hear me reading a couple of them! But for now, I hope you enjoy my little story called The Snowball. Happy holidays! Peace out and peace within, Chanel
Classics teachers say they are bitterly disappointed but not surprised by an announcement to drop Classics from NCEA level 1, and cut Latin from NCEA entirely. The Education Minister Chris Hipkins announced a series of changes to NCEA Level 1 yesterday to address what he described as an increase in "specialisation", which was causing students to narrow their options too soon. Alongside the changes to classics, chemistry and biology are being combined into one subject, and physics combined with earth and space science. Rob Griffiths is the president of the association of classical teachers.
Rob Griffiths is a coaches coach. He is one of the course tutors on the BTF Level 3 course, head coach of various Tri Camps, coach of athletes from beginners to Olympians with over 40 years in the game. And that's not even his day job!! By day Rob is a coach in the business world. He's just one of those people who fascinates and inspires and adds value with every piece of advice. We hope you find this podcast as exciting as we did!
Rob Griffiths worked for Apple (1990-95), founded macosxhints.com in 2000, went on to write for Macworld Magazine, has done some podcasting, and is currently a partner at Many Tricks Software, makers of great Mac utilities such as Moom, Witch and Name Mangler. Rob recalled his early years with the T.I. Silent 700, Commodore PET, and Apple II. At Colorado State University, Rob realized programming was not for him and followed a business track. Later, after graduate school, he landed a job with Apple. We chatted about his career, moving on to great years at Macworld Magazine, and then his current partnership at Many Tricks Software. We then delved into WWDC 2020, challenges as an Apple developer, the transition of Macs to Apple Silicon, and the evolution of macOS as a partial touch-screen OS. Good stuff here!

With the impending restrictions on our movements, racing, and maybe even training due to pool and facility closures, it’s occurred to me more than once that there will be people out there who will find this very difficult to deal with. In fact, I’m sure we all will in some ways because it’s totally new to just about all of us. It was mentioned to me that mental health could become a much bigger problem as we progress toward the summer, and I’m already seeing posts from athletes who are feeling anxious as they contemplate not being able to train, or from those whose races have either been cancelled or are pending cancellation. I reached out to a friend of mine, Rob Griffiths, who is a fellow triathlete but also a psychologist. In this podcast today we chat about: How to control the controllables Strategies for dealing with boredom Lateral thinking and how to apply this to your self-isolation or curfew Creating a community spirit to support others If anyone needs to reach out to either myself or Rob to discuss anything we’ve mentioned in this podcast, please use the links below. He's happiest when he's making everyone else miserable. His parents aren't bothered about Christmas either, so on Christmas Eve there's no decorations in the house, no tree downstairs, no stocking hung up. But, whether Brad believes it or not, soon he'll have to decide whether to stay being Bad Brad, or whether he'll get on his bike and save Christmas. Is it worth the effort for one person? For sure! And is it better to fix badness with kindness? For sure! This story is suitable for children aged between 4 - 10.

In 1607, a 15-year-old girl fled her convent in the Basque country, dressed herself as a man, and set out on a series of unlikely adventures across Europe. In time she would distinguish herself fighting as a soldier in Spain's wars of conquest in the New World. In this week's episode of the Futility Closet podcast we'll tell the story of Catalina de Erauso, the lieutenant nun of Renaissance Spain. We'll also hunt for some wallabies and puzzle over a quiet cat. Intro: In 1856 the Saturday Review asked: Why do ghosts wear clothes? Because of the peculiarities of bee reproduction, the population of each generation is a Fibonacci number.
