Something is happening right now in our world. You can feel it in medicine. You can feel it in faith. You can feel it in mental health, relationships, motherhood, leadership, and honestly… in the hearts of women everywhere. It's the desire for change, for transprency, for better.  In this episode, Dr. Emily speaks directly to the women who feel that stirring deep inside of them — the women who know they were made for more than just surviving life on autopilot. This conversation is raw, personal, and deeply reflective. Dr. Emily shares stories from her own journey through medicine, faith, motherhood, and working in prison healthcare, while opening up about the tension so many of us feel trying to navigate a rapidly changing world. She talks about the disconnect between medicine and spirituality after COVID, the importance of asking difficult questions, and why women need to stop shrinking back from the spaces they were called to impact. This episode is not about having all the answers. It's about becoming grounded enough spiritually, emotionally, and mentally to stand firm in who you are. Dr. Emily also shares the heart behind her upcoming book, the lessons she's learning about purpose and obedience, and why she believes warrior women are needed now more than ever. If you've been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, spiritually restless, or like there has to be more for your life… this episode is for you. Because maybe being a warrior woman doesn't mean being loud. Maybe it means choosing courage, truth, compassion, wisdom, and love in a world that desperately needs it. Who was the mysterious Queen of the Lakes said to rule the waters of north Wales? How did one Pembrokeshire woman armed with only a pitchfork help defeat French invaders? And did Welsh folklore really tell of women strong enough to wrestle grown men, fight invading armies, and become giants? In this episode of the Ghosts and Folklore of Wales podcast, we explore a trio of larger-than-life Welsh women whose stories tow a fine line between fact and fiction, history and folklore. There's Jemima Fawr, the legendary heroine of Fishguard, who reportedly captured French soldiers during the last invasion of mainland Britain. There's Megan Ferch Evan - hunter, fisherwoman, musician, boat builder, blacksmith, wrestler, and all-round local legend - whose reputation became so extraordinary she was remembered as the Queen of the Lakes. And then things become stranger still… Victorian writers also tell of a travelling Welsh giantess who vanished to Texas with her much smaller husband. Press play for the full story! Expect Welsh folklore, giants, warrior women, myths, invasions, and some truly *ahem* giant characters. Tune in now… if you dare!

But for years, many historians dismissed these accounts as folklore… until archaeology proved otherwise. In this episode, we uncover the truth behind the Polianitsy, explore the long-standing debate around female warriors in history, and reveal how archaeologists mistakenly identified women's graves as male, hiding evidence of women fighters in plain sight. The Vinland sagas were right about Norse voyages to North America. The Amazon legends were confirmed by graves full of warrior women in the Russian steppes. Once again, the old stories proved more accurate than scholars assumed. But these same traditions preserve another pattern we have yet to take seriously. Our ancestors walked this earth for a very long time before history began. They were not idle. They were learning. And some of what they learned, they managed to pass down, encoded in legends we are only now beginning to take seriously.Follow Viking Superpowers here! --- https://www.youtube.com/@vikingsuperpowers and get the book here https://www.amazon.com/Viking-Superpowers-Suppressed-Technology-Spacefaring/dp/1764091817/ref=sr_1_1Follow Salsido Paranormal here! -- www.salsidoparanormal.com and get the book here https://www.amazon.com/Salsido-Paranormal-Experiences-James/dp/B0DD3SFF61/ref=sr_1_1If you are having a mental health crisis and need immediate help, please go to https://troubledminds.org/help/ and call somebody right now. In this episode we sit down with Walter Penrose, PhD, associate professor of history at San Diego State University. Dr. Penrose specializes in the History of Gender and Sexuality in Ancient Greek, Hellenistic, and South Asian contexts. We talk with him about the historical views of the Amazons, particularly in the non-Western world. Female bodyguards were employed by the Ancient Indians and Persians and many of these women came from the Black Sea region-- the same region where the Greeks identified the presence of Amazons.  We discuss the Indian concept of "Stri Rajya" or "The Kingdom of Women"  which the Ancient Indians located to the west of them, towards the Eurasian Steppe and Caspian Sea-- in the same neighborhood as the Black Sea.  Lastly, we also explore the stories of Hellenistic warrior queens and their connection to the warlike tribes from the same region as the female bodyguards and The Kingdom of Women: the Thracians, Scythians and Sauromatians. Sean Marlon Newcombe and Dawn "Sam" Alden co-host.

EPISODE SUMMARY: Warrior Woman—get ready, because today we're talking about the supplement I believe every woman should know about. We're diving deep into creatine—but not the way the fitness bros do it. This is for us. For the women who lift, sprint, grow humans, lead businesses, and want to build strong bodies (and brains) for life. We've got our first-ever female-focused research review on creatine—and I'm breaking it down for you. I'll walk you through how creatine impacts strength, sprinting, mood, cognition, pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause. We'll bust the myths (no, it won't make you bulky) and I'll show you exactly how to use it to train harder, recover faster, and feel more powerful—in your body and your life. This episode will give you the science and strategy to decide if creatine belongs in your training toolkit. (Spoiler: it probably does.) Let's get it, girl. KEY TAKEAWAYS: Women have 70-80% lower creatine stores than men—meaning we can benefit even more from supplementation. Creatine improves strength, power, and recovery without causing weight gain or bloating (thanks, estrogen!). For postmenopausal women, creatine helps maintain muscle mass, bone density, and supports metabolic health. Creatine supports mood, cognition, and brain health—especially under stress, sleep deprivation, and hormonal changes. It may protect fetal brain development during pregnancy and support postpartum recovery. Sprinters and strength athletes? Creatine enhances performance, improves speed endurance, and reduces fatigue between sets. HOW TO SUPPLEMENT: Loading phase (optional): 5g, 4x/day for 5-7 days. Maintenance: 3-5g daily (even on rest days). Take anytime, with or without food (carbs may enhance absorption). POWERFUL QUOTES: "We hold 70-80% less creatine than men. So, of course, we need more." "Creatine isn't just for the bros in the gym—it's for every woman who wants to build power, strength, and resilience." "A hydrated muscle is a happy muscle. Creatine pulls water into your muscle cells—not under your skin." "When you have more muscle, you hold less abdominal fat and your metabolic health thrives." "Creatine doesn't make you bulky—it makes you better." Love this episode? Share it with a friend who trains. Tag me on Instagram @amykatebowe with your biggest takeaway. And don't forget to subscribe, rate, and review the podcast—it helps more Warrior Women find this work. Need help creating your strategy? Join Warrior School: https://warriorschool.co/

EPISODE SUMMARY: Warrior Woman, welcome back. You've probably heard the term “deload” thrown around… maybe by your physio, maybe by Dr. Stacy, maybe in some performance podcast. And you might be wondering — should you be doing deload weeks? Here's the truth bomb: Most women don't need to plan them. In this episode, I unpack why your life — yes, your big, bold, busy life — is probably already handing you natural deloads. I share what a deload actually is, who needs them, and why most women are better off building consistent, intelligent training rather than obsessing over structured rest weeks. I also dish out a spicy little update on my world — from sprinting PBs and Achilles drama, to the new Warrior School Graduation Program, and my plans to bring you in-the-room, real-life live events this year. Let's go. SHOW NOTES: Are Deload Weeks Necessary for Women? | Warrior School Podcast with Amy Bowe In this episode of The Warrior School Podcast, Amy Bowe answers a big question: Should you be doing deload weeks in your training? With so much confusion around rest, recovery, and performance, Amy breaks down what a deload is, who it's actually for, and why most women don't need to schedule one — because life is already doing it for you. You'll also hear an update on Amy's sprint training (including a new personal best and a cranky Achilles), the launch of her Warrior School Graduation Program, and her upcoming live training events in Canada and Australia. Whether you're new to training or a seasoned lifter, this episode will help you rethink recovery, manage your training load, and build a body that performs — not just looks good.
