It's one of the most-asked questions we get every year: Why don't Ohio State's cornerbacks look back for the football more on downfield passes? Today is your lucky day because you're about to get the answer to that question and many more, directly from Ohio State cornerbacks coach Tim Walton. He'll discuss that, plus true freshmen Jermaine Matthews and Calvin Simpson-Hunt, returning players like Denzel Burke, Jordan Hancock, Jyaire Brown, and Ryan Turner. Plus, what does an SEC transfer like Davison Igbinosun bring to the cornerback room this year?
In today's episode we journeyed to Ft. Mifflin in PA. We go over our experiences, feelings and ghost stories. It was a quiet first year for Ohio State's freshman class of 2022, but many of those Buckeyes are candidates for breakout seasons in 2023.That's what we spend most of our time discussing on this week's episode of Real Pod Wednesdays.First, we talk about the impact of a couple of Ohio State football news items that dropped over the past week: The addition of transfer offensive lineman Victor Cutler and the return of sixth-year safety Josh Proctor. Then, we talk about all 21 members of Ohio State's 2022 class and discuss their outlooks going into their second year as Buckeyes. The full rundown of this week's show: 1:13: Victor Cutler isn't the transfer addition we expected, but it's an addition that makes sense once you dig into it 6:41: Cutler's addition could keep Matt Jones at guard, but expect Ohio State to experiment with different combinations during the spring 9:37: Ohio State has already added more transfers than ever before, and that total could increase in May 13:07: With Josh Proctor returning, Ohio State has a lot of options to fill its starting safety spots this year 17:24: Proctor wouldn't return if he didn't think he'd be a starter, but he's going to have to earn that job 20:51: All three returning sixth-year seniors could provide significant value for the 2023 Buckeyes 22:32: C.J. Hicks and Sonny Styles have the skill sets to bolster the defense as linebacker/safety hybrids 28:31: Devin Brown has a chance to be Ohio State's most important second-year Buckeye in 2023 30:14: Caden Curry looks poised to be the No. 3 defensive end; Kenyatta Jackson and Omari Abor should have opportunities, too 32:05: Second-year wide receivers will need big springs to earn playing time on loaded depth chart 35:33: Dallan Hayden played the biggest role of any freshman in 2022, yet his role could decrease in 2023 38:26: Buckeyes need Tegra Tshabola, George Fitzpatrick, Carson Hinzman to provide offensive line depth 41:11: Bennett Christian has a lot of competition at tight end, but his blocking ability gives him a chance to climb depth chart 44:37: Gabe Powers, Ryan Turner among freshmen who will have to battle to climb depth chart on defense 47:04: Jyaire Brown may be the frontrunner to start opposite Denzel Burke at cornerback 49:23: Hero Kanu well-positioned to earn spot on defensive tackle two-deep 51:47: Lack of playing time for freshmen in 2022 could hurt the Buckeyes in 2023

What do you do when a vacant space in the same strip mall near your restaurant becomes available, and there's a pizza oven already there? If you're the team behind Muss & Turner's, you turn it into a pizzeria, naturally. In 2005, Muss & Turner's took on the sandwich, trying to expand and improve upon a well known menu item. Smyrna, Georgia was a pretty sleepy suburb of Atlanta back then. Fast forward a dozen plus years, and now the Atlanta Braves' stadium is nearby, with a number of new restaurants in the area. The pizza coming MTH in a suburban mall is way better than it probably needs to be. The three guys behind the company - Todd Mussman, Ryan Turner, Chris Hall – have become known for creating the Giving Kitchen, an organization that provides emergency assistance to restaurant workers through financial assistance and community resources.

The biggest news in Ohio State football over the past week wasn't good news for the Buckeyes. That news came on Saturday, when Tennessee linebacker Henry To'o To'o – Ohio State's top target in the transfer portal this year – announced he was transferring to Alabama, thwarting the Buckeyes' plans to add him to the middle of their defense. We start this week's episode by discussing the impact of To'o To'o's decision on the Buckeyes' 2021 linebacker corps and who we expect to start at linebacker now.We also took this week as an opportunity to discuss Ohio State's efforts to compete with Alabama both on the field and on the recruiting trail (starting at 19:13). After Alabama landed transfers from To'o To'o and former Ohio State wide receiver Jameson Williams in the same week, while continuing to battle the Buckeyes for five-star defensive end recruit J.T. Tuimoloau, the Crimson Tide's standing as the team Ohio State is chasing has only increased.Later in the show (33:54), we talk about two players Ohio State did land commitments from last week – three-star defensive backs Kye Stokes and Ryan Turner – and evaluate what the Buckeyes' priorities should be now as they look to continue filling out their recruiting class of 2022.Finally (42:30), we take your questions about what Tuimoloau's role could be if he chooses the Buckeyes, why we believe the stands will be full at Ohio Stadium this fall and which opponent – if any – could be the sleeper opponent on the Buckeyes' regular season schedule.
Hey guys Ron Leon Here! Meet Joe Rodonis & Andrew Mariani IN JOE RODONIS OWN WORDS" t's great meeting you and I'm excited to share my story. I'm proud to say I'm living out and pursuing my dream, but it wasn't always that way. I grew up in Chicago with a great family and was very active in team sports growing up. I'm incredibly close with my brother and grew up with amazing parents. I left Chicago to study Finance at Indiana University - Bloomington. I began my professional career as a financial analyst at a Fortune 20 HealthCare company. I had a 10 year career there, and gradually moved into Sales Management, selling Nuclear Medicine in the Carolinas. While I had a great career, I began to realize this wasn't going to be the right fit for me in the long run. In 2017, my Father and my Grandfather both passed away suddenly…which changed my life. A year later, I made the decision to leave my corporate job and “pursue my dreams”. This lead me to Cape Town, South Africa in 2017-2018 where I lived for 6 months as a model. An incredible experience where I spent time exploring the country, hiking, meditating, and diving into the fitness scene. In 2018, I decided to move to New York which lead me to find Tone House. I fell in love with the vision and community here. I am a Head Coach and Lead Instructor on Tone House TV (OnDemand). I also co-host a podcast with our Dietitian, Ryan Turner called The Breakdown. Represented by IMG Model Management, I have worked with brands such as; UnderArmour, GIII, Michael Strahan, Starter, Ten Thousand, Dirt Devil, Hanes, Men's Fitness. As a Coach, my mission is to help others realize and unlock their potential and using training as a method to do so. I believe we are all capable of more than we may believe; and training allowed me a way to prove that to myself. I want to share that gift with everyone I work with as they pursue their own dreams. The buzz! “As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, restaurants are still doing what they always do: taking care of their communities.…free food to medical workers on the frontlines, laid-off restaurant staff and their families, and basically anyone else in need.” (blog.opentable.com) “Giving back to others has had another much-needed consequence: It's helping keep those restaurants in business and their staff working.” (cnbc.com) “Through the generosity of patrons, the fundraised meals are provided by area restaurants…many businesses [are] pivoting to stay afloat during the pandemic crisis.” (abc7ny.com) What's on the menu to help restaurants owners and workers survive the pandemic? Virtual tastings, more carryout options, enhanced guest-centricity, new food sources, site purchase vs. lease, and more. We'll ask restaurateurs Ryan Turner, Ryan Pernice, Bryan Schroeder and Mike Patrick for their take on The Care & Feeding of Restaurants Post-Pandemic: Technology on the Menu.
