Today, on Karl and Crew, we kicked off the week with a LIVE in-studio audience as we discussed the importance of sharing the Gospel in a sincere and simple way. The Gospel is to be accessible by all, therefore we need to be intentional about the way we share it with others. We should share it in a way that all can understand. We turned to 2 Corinthians 11:3 where Paul expresses concern about believers being misled by false teachers simply because they don’t understand the simple and truthful gospel. How can you share the gospel in a way where it makes sense to everyone? We also had Pastor Jon Kelly share his testimony of how Jesus met him in solitary confinement. Pastor Kelly is a husband, father and Lead Pastor of Chicago West Bible Church. He also is an alum of Moody Bible Institute. We also had Dr. Joseph Stowell join us. Dr. Stowell is an international conference speaker, author, and former president of Moody Bible Institute. He currently serves on the boards of CURE International, English Language Institute/China and International Aid. How do we live like Jesus in a non-Jesus world? Do Christians have a reputation for loving those with whom we disagree well? What are a few ways we can show love without alienating people who need to hear the gospel? Even as Jesus called us to let our light shine before men, we may tend to respond to the darkening of our world with hopelessness and despair instead of hope and joy. Dr. Joe Stowell calls us to embrace the kingdom of Christ and pivot from our fascination with the earthly kingdom. Don’t miss this day after Easter discussion on living the abundant new life in Christ and letting our light shine with past President of the Moody Bible Institute and Cornerstone University Dr. Joe Stowell on Mornings with Seth and Deb!Donate to Moody Radio: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/morningshow/wdlmSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Over the last 15 years, I've helped commercial corporations, startups, and non-profits grow, foster new relationships, and crush their overall sales goals. From bringing whiteboard ideas to life to building more than $100M of new business, I've taken a very structured business development approach to growth. I believe organizations can strive in times of chaos with structure. From my hands-on sales experience, working with both small and large companies, I learned a lot about what works and what doesn't. So in 2019, I started my own company, Cribworks.I believe building your business relies on a multitude of assets, both internally and externally focused. From your company differentiators to building account management plans, to strategic partnerships, to social selling, building you into a trusted advisor is where you should be.https://www.linkedin.com/in/whitney-stowell/https://www.cribworks.co/------------------------------------About Nathan StreetNathan Street is a lifelong entrepreneur and the founder of Novum Wealth, where he helps real estate investors secure 100% funding using hard money, private money, and creative finance strategies. His journey started at just 10 years old, selling candy out of his bedroom window. By 17, he launched his first LLC, and by 22, he was coaching real estate investors — eventually training over 3,500 clients across the U.S. and internationally.Nathan has flipped properties, worked in high-level finance with promissory notes and MTNs, built and sold a lead generation company, and ghostwritten for some of the biggest names in real estate education. He's spoken on stages from the U.S. to Hong Kong, authored two books on real estate funding, and even ran a five-star-rated restaurant — learning firsthand the highs and lows of entrepreneurship. But Nathan's story isn't just about business. After a divorce and raising four kids, he remarried three years ago and now helps raise a blended family of nine children with his wife. His life experience brings authenticity, humility, and a deep commitment to helping others not just build wealth — but build a life they're proud of.Whether he's teaching people how to creatively finance deals or sharing lessons from his own reinventions, Nathan brings real strategies, real results, and a whole lot of heart.https://www.linkedin.com/in/nathanstreet/https://www.novumwealth.com/
A casual conversation at the camp shower turned into a rant about everything that’s wrong with the world. In a belligerent mood and an angry tone this same person revealed that he was a Christ follower. Our calling as Christ followers is to be expressions of God’s love to a hostile world – not to be hostile people. How do we attract people to Jesus by the way we live today? Dr. Joe Stowell, former President of Moody Bible Institute and Cornerstone University reminds us of our high and holy calling to be like Jesus in his book This Light of Mine: Living Like Jesus in a Non-Jesus WorldDonate to Moody Radio: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/morningshow/wgnbSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

If I could summarize this conversation with one phrase, it would be something Shannon said: “When people meet each other they find out that the other is not so other.”Shannon Stowell is the CEO of the Adventure Travel Trade Association, an organization for travel industry partners that believes travel can be a powerful force for good in the world. Shannon has spent over 30 years working in adventure travel, e-commerce, outdoor retail, and environmental science. Shannon and I met in person on a trip to Jordan this February, and we immediately connected around our shared belief about what travel could be. In this conversation, Shannon takes us to Kurdistan, an autonomous region in Northern Iraq, where Shannon traveled with his son in 2017. You'll learn about the meaning of the Kurdish saying “The Kurds have no friends but the mountains,” and what it feels like to visit the Yazidi sacred village of Lalish. We also discuss Shannon's must-see places for people like me who have already traveled a lot, the tomorrow's air initiative led by ATTA, why Shannon believes travel is a privilege, not a right, and what is a soft ambassador. What you'll learn in this episode:How Shannon defines adventure travelShannon's trip to Kurdistan in 2017What living off the grid in nature is likeWhat Maslow's hierarchy of needs has to do with modern depressionMust-see places for people who've already traveled a lotThe impact of media on destinationsMeeting the current moment: travelers' role in times of strifeThe story of “To kill a white person”What gives Shannon hope right nowFeatured on the show:Learn more about the Adventure Travel Trade AssociationCheck out Explore Mesopotamia tours in Iraqi KurdistanRead The New York Times story about KurdistanCheck out Shannon's book, Riding The Hula Hula to the Arctic OceanLearn more about the Tomorrow's Air initiativeFollow ATTA on InstagramGet more information at: Going Places website Join our Going Places newsletter to get updates on new episodes and Yulia's travel storytelling work. Otherwise, you could be dealing with floods, evictions, project delays, and other issues. Fortunately, today's guest has already dealt with these headaches so that YOU don't have to! Welcome back to the Real Estate Rookie podcast! Investor Dan Stowell has endured not one but TWO horror stories during his real estate journey. As you're going to learn today, the consequences of placing a bad tenant or hiring the wrong contractor can be severe. Instead, he tackled each challenge and used these expensive lessons to make him an even better investor! In this episode, Dan offers several tips that will prepare you for anything that could be thrown your way. You'll learn how to screen a tenant, how to avoid bad contractors, and, most importantly, how to react when things go south. Stay tuned until the very end to find out what became of Dan's problematic properties! In This Episode We Cover: How Dan survived $47K in water damage and a 1,000-day rehab (on two different projects!)
