Albania's prime minister supports this development, which suggests perhaps he's got a stake in the game…VENUS IN LEO OPPOSITE PLUTO IN AQUARIUS: ARE THE RICH RAPING THE PEOPLE?All of the astrology of the past few months—in addition to the exposure of more & more corruption within the Trump Administration & his family's business dealings—bring us to question whether they are raping people not only of their tax dollars but of their legal rights. That's how we know that the Gemini New Moon monthly cycle is now asking us to change our perspectives about what it is we value most. In other words, do we value having rich business people run our government, or do we prefer those who have at heart the interests & well-being of those they serve.Greed & avarice go hand in hand with corruption & selling one's soul for money & material resources, making those who do so venal. And “venal” is defined by the Cambridge Dictionary as “A …person…willing to behave in a way that is not honest or moral in exchange for money.”Given this, the upcoming Venus/Pluto opposition on June 17—which highlights the power of money over relationships—has a mythical connotation of rape. That's because in Greek mythology Pluto/Hades, the god of the underworld, came above ground (which he only did twice in myth) & kidnapped & raped Persephone, the daughter of Demeter/Ceres, the goddess of the grain.In doing so, he changed the way the gods of Mount Olympus valued the humans they ruled over. How is that? Well, when Ceres—who held the secret of how the seed fertilizes the crops to grow--went into mourning over the disappearance of her daughter Persephone, humans began to starve.You see the connection between myth & reality? Only when mankind began to die out did the gods take notice. And the notice they took revolved around their own hubristic need to be revered by humans. You know, the ones who built temples & prayed to them, keeping them in positions of power.So a bargain was struck where Hades/Pluto—who did at least make Persephone not only his wife but the Queen of the Underworld—allowed her to come above ground for six months out of the year. This became the Greeks' way of explaining the seasons that occur in the western northern hemisphere: When Persephone come above ground to be with her mother it's spring & summer & crops are planted & grow. And when it's fall & winter, she goes back to her underworld throne & crops are reaped & stored for the winter, & the ground lie fallow.Remember that the Sagittarius Full Moon has the Gemini Moon in opposition to the Gemini Sun, Uranus, AND Ceres. The Full Moon occurs at 9.45 am BST/4.45 EDT on May 31 in the depths of Scorpio, in stark contrast to the Taurus New Moon in the middle of the month. Unlike the exalted Taurus New Moon, the Moon has fallen in Scorpio. What began with high expectations may now feel heavy when things do not unfold as imagined, or when something changes. Yet everything serves a purpose. This Full Moon illuminates the darker corners of the psyche, bringing awareness to what needs to be surrendered. Surrender is not a mental choice, but a process, and one that may feel especially intense leading up to this Full Moon in Scorpio. This is not just about surrender, it's about devotion: surrendering to how you think things should be, giving up your need to control outcomes. Anurādhā refers to Kṛṣṇa's devoted lover and the loyalty reflected in this lunar mansion. It is ruled by Mitra, the god of friendship, highlighting the potential for agreement, co-operation, and support from others, but only once you have committed yourself. Despite the Moon's weakness and strong feelings of vulnerability, Mars is powerful in Aries and casts an exact 8th house aspect onto the Moon, bringing the courage to confront and remove what this Full Moon reveals, and protect what needs protecting. Jupiter changes signs the following day, suggesting a shift in atmosphere and perspective. Once you surrender to life's changes, something lighter and more hopeful can emerge. The symbol of Anurādhā is the lotus flower, which rises from the mud. Without the mud, without your darker thoughts and feelings, you cannot blossom. These are the soil from which your true devotion arises.

This year’s Taurus New Moon is more intense and complex than usual. We prepare for change.

This episode is just me, Jeff Hinshaw, offering a reflection on the Taurus New Moon and the larger collective shifts we are moving through. I explore how this lunation marks the first Taurus New Moon without Uranus in Taurus since 2019, and what it means to begin integrating years of disruption and innovation around money, the body, stability, technology, and the Earth itself, while Uranus now in Gemini shifts the revolution into language, communication, and perception. I share observations from the collective field around simplification, mobility, and changing life structures, alongside increasing relational and mental intensity as different worldviews meet. From there, I move into Taurus embodiment practices, including a somatic grounding meditation through the body and third eye “bull's eye” center as a way of reconnecting intuition with physical presence and nature.
