Monday, February 3, 2020: The Senate is hearing final arguments today, with a series of amendments likely to be debated. The final vote to acquit Trump is now expected for Wednesday. A brief filed by Attorney Sidney Powell and a declaration filed by General Flynn make a strong case Attorney General Barr should drop all criminal charges because of a serious conflict of interest by his first attorneys, Covington & Burling in DC, and because of proven Mueller prosecutorial misconduct in General Flynn's indictment. Tuesday, February 4, 2020: President Trump in his State of the Union Speech will proclaim "The Best Is Yet To Come" in his promise to "Keep America Great." Last night's Democratic Iowa Caucus was a debacle, suggesting socialist Tom Perez will destroy DEMS in 2020 as AOC recasts the party as Democrat Socialists. Meanwhile, the evidence is building that General Flynn's criminal indictment and his guilt plea were the result of the incompetence of the DC blue chip firm Covington & Burling that charged Flynn $3 million, while covering up the mistakes in FARA filings the lawyers made. Flynn's motion to withdraw his guilty plea is a test whether or not AG Barr and FBI Director Wray are or are not Deep State. Wednesday, February 5, 2020: Speaker Pelosi was a disgrace throughout the speech, with her mouth movements, mumbling to herself, and ripping up the speech (a government document and a federal offense). "The Best Is Yet To Come" is a great re-election campaign theme. The acknowledgments in the audience, including the award for Rush Limbaugh, were moving. Today at around 4pm ET, the Senate is expected to vote acquittal in the impeachment hoax, handing a strong rebuke to the House's ill-prepared, rushed, biased, and openly partisan impeachment process. The brief filed by Attorney Sidney Powell asking Federal District Judge Emmett Sullivan to allow General Flynn to withdraw his guilty plea is gaining momentum in light of new evidence demonstrating the malfeasance of his Washington, D.C.,, law firm. Covington & Burling billed Flynn nearly $5 million, while coverup the law firm's mistakes in filing General Flynn's FARA registration -- mistakes that got Flynn indicted. Thursday, February 6, 2020: President Trump Points Finger at "Resistance" Socialist Democrats and angry Speaker Nancy Pelosi at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, DC. The DNC in Iowa is struggling to emerge from the debacle of the Iowa Caucus as Biden struggles to save his political future. GOP in Congress turn to investigate the "whistleblower" and Hunter Biden. General Flynn continues his legal battle to expose Covington & Burling corruption and DOJ/FBI prosecutorial misconduct in his criminal indictment over a process crime. Friday, February 7, 2020: A leaked internal memorandum from Fox News reveals a management shift to the political left, with Sean Hannity, Rudy Giuliani, and John Solomon being labeled as "disinformation." Meanwhile, the Trump counterattack against the Deep State was officially launched yesterday with Trump's comments at the National Prayer Breakfast and later at his White House victory celebration. The first target appears to be Col. Vindman who is targeted to be removed from the NSA. Peter Strzok took the bait, responding to Trump's comment in a way that insures he will be under criminal investigation, if he is not already in the DOJ crosshairs. The Democratic Socialists in charge of the Democratic Party back Pelosi on her hateful ripping up Trump's SOTU speech, as disarray in Iowa Caucus spreads to next week's New Hampshire primary. The fight to exonerate General Flynn gains momentum.

In this month's episode of Documents in Detail, TAH faculty members discussed the meaning, context around, and importance of Franklin Roosevelt's 1933 State of the Union address, famous for its full-throated defense of FDR's vision for a reformed America, what he called a "second" Bill of Rights, and how he worked with his political allies and adversaries to frame, present, and even sometimes misrepresent, his foreign and domestic policies. An ever-complicated man, FDR's motives are often difficult to discern, although papers such as the 1944 SOTU offer a clear sense of his understanding of what America ought to be. President Trump pledged a ‘moonshot’ level effort to end HIV by 2030 during his State of the Union Speech. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is implementing the directive. They’ve since committed to an ambitious but slightly lower goal of a 90 percent reduction of new HIV transmissions in ten years. For Native Americans, infection rates increased from 2011 through 2015 according to HHS. We’ll talk with representatives from the Indian Health Service and HIV prevention advocates about the president’s laudable goal and how it fits in with their efforts. We’ll ask them how realistic it is to eliminate HIV in ten years.

But with the help of our special guest, comedienne/playwright Glace Chase, we managed to shut down the substance, structure and guests of the State of the Union speech; a wild ATM incident in China; a man in the Netherlands embroiled in a legal battle to officially change his age; and, of course, the scandal in the Virginia legislature that combines three elements we thought we’d never see together: blackface, #metoo and the Moonwalk. Before I provide you with some tips for how to highlight all the wonderful things your organization is doing, allow me to introduce myself!   Hi! I'm Lisa Clark and I help nonprofits and fundraisers like YOU raise money through events so you can meet your annual revenue goals! I'm also the host of a free Facebook Group, Raising with Lisa Clark, a free group for fundraisers, NPOs, development team members, volunteers, and supporters. I included a link below so you can request to join right away!   Link to Join Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/112148672944584/   Hosting an annual fundraising event at the same “Bat time” at the same “Bat place” can definitely cause donor and board fatigue.  Right! You might be on year five of the event and perhaps attendance is going down? Or, you just don’t see the spark in your guests when you ask them “Hey, are you coming again this year?”  They reply, “Maybe???” Your staff might be a little bored, too.   Before I get into how to make your programs and services a integral part of your event, I want to make sure you’ve picked up my FREE mini checklist on how to create a pipeline of new donors for your next big fundraiser.  If you haven’t already grabbed it, the link will be provided below. My FREE checklist will definitely help to create a pipeline of new funding so check it out. Speaking of which, your annual fundraiser likely provides some decent funding to your annual campaign.  But, year after year, staff and donors and even the board can grow a little tired of the same thing. Does this mean you should change the venue and change the theme.  Not necessarily. I’m going to give you a few reasons that warrant you changing the venue and the theme AND give you a few reasons you need to stay put! But first, I want to share a story with you about how an annual golf tournament hosted at the same time and same place worked for over 20 years and is still going strong to this day.   While working at Stanford University, Athletic Development, I helped to organize an annual golf tournament called, The Shultz Cup.”   The tournament was aimed at raising money for the Men and Women’s Golf program. A Golf Tournament is a perfect example of a theme you really can’t change.  This was the daily agenda for the golf tournament:   1). Checkin 2). Meet and mingle with guests 3). Lunch 4). Pledge of Allegiance 5). Tee Off 6). Cocktail Reception 7). Welcome and State of the Union by George Schultz 8).  Dinner and dessert 9).  End   Approximately 100 golfers every year.  Same men and women. Actually, over the years, more and more women participated.   That was nice to see.  This event wasn’t broken.  No need to change it at all.  It worked. No one complained.  Everyone looked forward to attending.  The ONLY thing that changed each year was the giveaway and the State of the Union Speech by former Secretary of State, George Shultz.  That’s it. Oh, and we switched back and forth from chicken to beef year after year! LOL! Now, here is an example of an event we decided to change up.  We hosted an event at a venue that had a capacity of 225 headcount.  We hosted a VIP cocktail reception followed by a cooking class with a celebrity chef followed by standing dinner and live auction. It was a huge success.  So much so that we sold out every year and basically, outgrew the venue. Good problem to have but we had to make a decision to find a new venue. We did this because we believed we were leaving money on the table.   It was also a challenge to find a celebrity chef year after year. We ended up moving forward with a different space. We were super nervous but it ended up being the right move. When we made the move, we elected to introduce a new them as well.     Reasons to Change it Up:   Capacity issue - you outgrow the venue. You see a drastic drop in attendance two years in a row. You see a drastic drop in funds being raised two years in a row. You break even year after year. You do an evaluation of expenses and realize it’s cheaper to go with a different venue and this change allows you the opportunity to possibly change up the theme, too.  This also allows you to announce to your supporters that a change in venue and theme will be more dollars raised for the organization!     Ok. Hey Everyone! I'm back from a brief hiatus due to my mom's personal illness and other family matters, but I'm officially back. The podcast is back, and it is up and running. More ideas are on the way. So much has happened within the last couple of weeks, including Trump's State of the Union speech, and so on. Anyway, here are the topics. 1. The Official Nunes Memos Is Out. A classified memo authored by Congressman Devin Nunes, a Republican, was authorizedd for release and the rest is history. It alleges that the Department of Justice and the FBI engaged in abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act by acting on questionable actions against Trump adviser Carter Page during the early phases of the government's investigation into claims that Trump was elected to the White House by Vladmir Putin and his Russian stooges. Did they do this? Are they responsible for this? It's hard to tell, but it's very possible. However, the release of the memo has been opposed by the leftist media and the Democrats, which are actions that are not all that surprising. Should we be shocked? No, no, no!!! 2. Family Sues Starbucks. A family is suing Starbucks for spiking a beverage that the parents' two-year daughter drank because it purportedly contains a barista's blood. Really? Seriously? Are these people fucking retarded? Do we really need a frivolous suit on our hands? Why would Starbucks enable a barista to put blood in a kids' coffee drink? Grow the fuck up, people! I mean really! 3. Trump's State of the Union Speech. Trump gives his first official State of the Union speech after a year of launching his presidency. He talks about everything from immigration to his claim that wages are rising thanks to his "great" tax cuts to the repeal of ObamaCare. While his speech does contain some good things, it's mostly a bag of statist goodies that he wants to hand over to the American citizens. Yawn! And yet he doesn't talk about freedom! And he doesn't even talk about eliminating our foreign policy of interventionism. *Snore* 4. Actor Scott Baio Accused of Molesting Charles in Charge Co-star Nicole Eggert. Actor Scott Baio, known for his roles as Chachi in Happy Days and Joanie Loves Chachi and Charles in Charles in Charge, is accused to have molested Nicole Eggert when she was an underage minor....like 17 years old. Baio addresses the accusation, claiming that she's lying her ass off because, according to him, she was pushing 19 in 1990 when the show ended. Now another co-star is making a similar accusation. Jesus Fucking Christ! And Eggert is taking her claims to the police! Does she know that the statutes of limitations have expired? *Sighs* and 5. The Libertarian Party rejects Ron Paul and Judge Napolitano. The Libertarian Party thumbs its nose at Ron Paul and Judge Andrew Napolitano despite its own Mises Caucus is trying to bring them to this year's Libertarian National Convention. Jesus. Christ. Man. That's all, my friends I will comment on the podcast. Enjoy the show! I know you will!

In his State of the Union Speech, President Obama said, “Today, after four years of economic growth, corporate profits and stock prices have rarely been higher, and those at the top have never done better. But average wages have barely budged. Inequality has deepened. Upward mobility has stalled. The cold, hard fact is that even in the midst of recovery, too many Americans are working more than ever just to get by; let alone to get ahead. And too many still aren’t working at all.” Obama was forced to mention wealth inequality because the real disparity that has caused rising poverty and hunger, but his overall message was still one of “if you work hard enough, you can get ahead,” rather than an honest focus on the structural causes of the wealth divide and how to reduce it. To have this conversation, we’ve invited Glen Ford of Black Agenda Report and labor economist Jack Rasmus. We look at the state of the wealth divide, its causes and its remedies. Dana Walsh is an independent businesswoman who wants to serve her country. The entrenched political elite in Washington, seeking their own power, have grossly mismanaged the nation’s affairs, and will continue to do so without action by responsible citizens. Dana Walsh is standing up to take action at this critical turning point in our nation’s political and economic history. Dana is a citizen willing to retake the reigns from those who misuse power. Dana understands the significant issues of the day. The excessive tax burden, complicated government bureaucracy, and intrusive government regulation must be stopped. Why don’t most people see that we are heading toward socialism?” Dana believes that today’s state of political and constitutional affairs is not what the founding fathers had in mind. Members of Congress were supposed to serve their country as a “Citizen Statesmen,” and return shortly to private life. They were supposed to serve the interests of the citizens, not the interests of the government. Unlike many great leaders before them, most of today’s Congress (especially Nancy Pelosi) put their own careers and interests, and the growth of government, ahead of the country’s best interests. This must stop! Dana launched her campaign to help right the country’s policy culture away from its present collectivist course and back toward our Founder’s constitutional vision of truly limited government. Like the Founders intended, Dana has no interest in staying in Congress forever or making a career out of it. Dana considers the most important objective to be: stop Nancy and her liberal / socialist comrades from destroying the country’s prosperity. During the second hour will be An Analysis of the State of the Union Speech with expert James Lansberry - Conservative Commentary
