George….KOM NU MED DEN ALL THINGS MUST PASS BOX!!! For The Beatles junglen har mange vilde, snoede omveje. Mest af alt kan du lade dig underholde – for det er derfor ”Elsker The Beatles” findes. Enjoy!
We all want our kids to grow up to be godly and full of character... but how do we do that?? Everything has a price... What price are you willing to pay (comfort, convenience, time, etc) to get the word of God in your kid's hearts? 2. What Goes in will come out. You will reap what you sow. PUT IN the Word of God if you want to reap godly character in your children. 3. As parents, we must model a lifestyle built on the word of God. -Example of my mom who was transformed by the word of God; Dad who had morning quiet times in the word; Your kids need to see your process of being changed by the word of God. Practical ways to get the word into them: 1. Memorize scripture through phrase-upon-phrase repetition during built in times like meal times, nap time, bedtime. 2. Rules and boundaries at home need to be built around the word of God, and the kids need to know this. 3. Word of God is useful for correcting, rebuking, edifying, etc. Use the word of God as kind guidance in the discipline moments with your children. They need to see your reasoning comes from the word. 4. Write it on surfaces around the house. Mirrors, wall hangings, hung on fridge, etc. 5. Family Time where you read the word of God; ask what it means to them, have them imagine it. What does this tell us about God. What does it tell you about yourself? How can this change your life? 6. Listen to the word of God in your car! If you're listening, pull them in on it. 7. Talk about life situations. Ask thought provoking questions. Ask if a scripture might apply. 8. Share what you're learning from the Word. 9. Discuss what you saw in a movie, the messaging, and how it compares to the Word of God. 10. Regulate other voices going in through entertainment, peers, social media, music, etc. What goes in, comes out. 11. When there's behavioral issues, it's a thinking problem. There are lies present in their thinking somewhere. So bring correction by having them look up scriptures that are relevant to this area of struggle. The fifth episode of What Goes on is here (and also there. Kind of everywhere really. The internet's strange like that)! For this positively penta-temporal episode, we are joined by the one and only Earl of Daneland, Mr Peter Honoré himself. Known by his legions of adoring internet followers as Danish Pete, he is a presenter on (and the brains behind) the fantastically successful Andertons TV. He has also had an illustrious career as a session guitarist, playing stadium tours with some of the biggest artists in the music industry, and he now enjoys a substantial social media following in his own right. Check out Pete's Youtube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/peterhonore and his Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/mrpeterhono... What goes on is a podcast/video series about life in the music industry. Through a series of interviews with some rather spectacular human beings, we want to provide you with an insight into what it means to live and work in the music industry. Each of our guests have contributed their immense talents to this industry, and we are delighted to help share their stories, insights and words of wisdom. For those of you looking for a few places to dip in and out, we've compiled this handy little list: An unusual welcome 0:00 Where are you from Danish Pete? 0:52 How did you come to be called Danish Pete? 1:25 Wait, you had a Tom Jones gig!? 3:17 A further exposition of Pete's highly impressive CV. 7:04 Did you ever have to audition for any of these gigs? 8:50 Pete talks about why he stopped touring. 12:23 The challenges of life as a session musician. 13:24 How did you first get into playing the guitar? 15:05 The rise of the Insta guitarist. 18:59 'The best thing you can do is f*ck up in front of loads of people'. 27:41 Some reflections on the wider impact of social media. 32:37 Steve gets slightly obsessive about sleep. 37:35 'I just like to get stuff done'. 41:32 How Pete transformed Andertons. 48:38 Are you ever surprised at the reaction to Andertons videos? 55:20 The internet is both a strange and a great place. 59:28 A chat about the recent proliferation of guitar effects pedals. 1:04:53 Some thoughts on Pete's signature Thorpyfx 'The Dane' pedal. 1:08:52 Thanks and goodbye. 1:18:20 We hope you enjoy/enjoyed the video. Hope you had a great Olympic Day! Alison did some sport climbing; Jill did elements of a triathlon, and we both participated on Team Olympic Fever for Team USA's Virtual Race (we're currently sitting in 3rd place--wooo!). We loved seeing everyone's celebrations -- if you haven't gotten your participation certificate, send us your proof of participation. We'll get a certificate to you! It's that time of year when the International Olympic Committee members get together for their semiannual IOC Session, and this one was a big one! First up, the big decision: Who will host the 2026 Winter Olympics? Spoiler alert (in case you haven't heard the celebrations all the way where you are): It's Milan-Cortina. Jill watched the bid presentations, and boy, did Stockholm-Åre have a sound plan guided by the IOC's New Norm/Sustainability push. However, as Alison pointed out, Milan-Cortina had more support the whole way through, and they had the government guarantees. What do you think matters more to the voting members? Also at the session, The IOC celebrated its 125th anniversary by inaugurating its brand new headquarters, the Olympic House. Speaking of sustainability, the IOC could not stop talking about how sustainable the building is--and we have to say, it is pretty cool. Check it out here. And check out the fancy guards here. The additional sports for Paris 2024 are one step closer to being added to the program. Well, that was awkward... How often does an interaction with someone trigger that response? In this episode, Sam and I explore the concept of personal boundaries, with Joe Biden as a convenient jumping off point. We come at it from different perspectives and end up with different approaches, which shows just how unique and individual this question is for everyone. How do you approach the personal boundaries of those around you? Our guest co-host Ted Carr is back with us for this episode number 2 of our 4 part series. On our previous episode, we discussed why elderly parents fall for scams. This time, we will talk about the common myths of estate planning. Estate planning is one of the pillars of the strategic retirement planning concept. While it may be a task that gets misunderstood or procrastinated over, estate planning can provide a good direction for your loved ones in the future. Furthermore, it gives you a sense of relief as you think about where your household and assets go. Now just a disclaimer here- neither Ted nor myself are experts in the field of Estate Planning. We are just here to talk about our personal experiences. You would definitely want to discuss your own situation with an attorney. What Goes into an Estate Plan? When Les and I met our estate attorney, she talked to us not only about our assets but also about what happens if we get incapacitated. Even our very very naughty pet bird Mr. Grant was part of our estate plan. Nevertheless, you can revise your estate plan numerous times. Here's a list of items every estate plan should include: * Will/trust * A durable power of attorney * Beneficiary designations * Letter of intent * Healthcare power of attorney * Guardianship designations Also, you may add POLST (Provider Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment) on your estate plan, it's an approach to improving end-of-life care in the United States, encouraging providers to speak with patients and create specific medical orders honored by health care workers during a medical crisis. If I Have An Estate Plan, I Can Avoid Estate Taxes The federal estate tax exemption has increased to $11.2 million per person (or $22.4 million per married couple), so it's unlikely you'll have pay to pay for an estate tax at all. It Is Important to Include Guardianship Designations to Your Estate Plan While many wills or trusts incorporate this clause, some don't. If you have minor children or are considering having kids, picking a guardian is incredibly important and sometimes overlooked. Make sure the individual or couple you choose shares your views, are responsible, financially sound and genuinely willing to raise children. It will give you peace of mind. Probate is an Estate Planning Nightmare Probate is expensive and time-consuming (will take about 2 years) and everything will be open to the public. Property is disposed of according to the laws of the state in which the deceased resided. If they find some personal information from your public records your estate could be vulnerable. The funny thing is that even though you spend all your time to have a private and personal life when you die everything is open to everybody. I Don't Need to Check My Beneficiaries It's one of the common mistake people do. While setting up a plan is a solid first step, keep in mind your salary and family situation can fluctuate over time. Make sure your beneficiaries are current, there are so many 401k plans that haven't had any beneficiaries. If you don't update your estate plan your beneficiary information could go out the window. A Will Can Overview the Distribution of My Assets 60% of people have no wills. A will is also a great first step. It allows you to lay out how your belongings should be distributed. However, it has no controlling power over joint accounts or beneficiaries. The only thing that the will has any control over our assets that are in the person's name alone. You can also start with a holistic will where you write a will on a piece of paper, sign it with the date included,

I get asked pretty often about how exactly to go about effectively launching something the right way. In case you haven't noticed, launching (like sales funnels) is kind of a big deal these days. If you have an online business and create something that you want to sell successfully online, having an effective launching strategy and plan is a must. But where should you begin? In this episode NJ and I are diving in to discuss what launching means, what purpose it serves and some best practices for ensuring you set yourself up for success during your next launch. Listen + subscribe on iTunes // Stitcher Someone asked me recently to talk about how to execute a soft launch, and the way they described it was "the kind of launch nobody knows about." I'll be honest, this confused me. When we're talking about launching, it's important to understand that you want people to know about your launch - it's kind of the whole point! Now, this person could have been talking about a beta launch or a pre-launch that was geared toward only a small segment of people, which is a different scenario than a full, big launch. But the bottom line is this - you NEED people to know about your launch in order for it to be successful, otherwise you're wasting your time and leaving money on the table. Oftentimes I think we lie to ourselves when it comes to launching. The idea of doing a big launch is scary! It takes guts, a ton of work and probably some monetary investment (after all, usually it takes money to make money.) When we let fear drive our business decisions, we'll tell ourselves lies about doing a "soft launch" instead of a big one to test things out and make sure they work. But the truth is, if you want to make money in your business, you have to push past that fear, do the work, and make a launch happen. It WILL be a lot of work. But if done correctly (or even just mostly correctly) you'll hands down make more money than keeping your launch a secret. If you are going to do a "soft launch" (to a beta group or small segment of people without much buzz) it has to be part of a strategy to build up to a big launch. The #1 Key to a Successful Launch We are going to let you in on a big secret (that you probably already know!) If you want to launch something you have to plan for it! An effective launch will have a lot of moving parts that need to be executed in a particular order. The creation part of whatever your offering is....that's the easy part. Figuring out how to effectively market and sell your offering to the right people in the right way.....that's the challenge, and it's a challenge you want to prepare for well! Pro Tip: When you have a good understanding of what you're good at, what you're not, what you enjoy and what you don't, you can make better decisions about hiring or bartering for help so you're not left spinning your wheels, wasting time and money to execute your launch. You Need a Funnel to Launch Ok, I will forewarn you....at this point in the episode things start to get a little crazy as we try to describe just why we love a good funnel so much (so you'll most definitely want to listen and not just read these notes!) But here's our central point in summary: the point of a launch is to bring awareness to what you're doing while infusing some excitement, scarcity and intrigue, and a funnel is how you do just that. You can have a funnel without a launch, but you can't have a solid launch without a good funnel in place. Pro Tip: Don't ever throw money at Facebook ads if you don't have your funnel set up! What Goes into a Launch There are lots of moving pieces and projects that go into a launch, but here are the few keys that you want to make sure to cover. Know who you're launching to: you want to make sure you know exactly who your ideal client is so you can be engaging with them and understand how to speak their language Plan and create a killer sales funnel: to do this you need to work backwards from your offering to create a journey that you'll lead your ideal client down so their nurtured and primed to convert into a paying customer Map out your timeline: to make sure you have enough time to carry out your launch well, we recommend allowing a minimum of 3-4 month to plan and execute Referenced in the Show: Be Still Clothing Company Episode 161: All Things Sales Funnels with Dana and Expert Dawn Marrs Episode 193: How are you Flaunting Your Funnel with Dana & Dawn Marrs Click Funnels (14-day free trial!)
