Get those pens and paper out because today I have a 10 Year Retired NFL Veteran, 7 Year Retired NFL Analyst Heath Evans! At the end 8th grade he was told he was too slow to play running back on JV for his 9th-grade year. Fast forward 5 months, he was the starting running back for the VARSITY team as a FRESHMAN Sophomore year at Auburn once again he was told he wasn't good enough to play running back at THAT level and was moved to the Defensive line. Fast forward 15 months, he was the FIRST fullback drafted in the 2001 NFL Draft. His 5th year in the NFL he was cut from the Dolphins and was told he didn't have what it takes to play fullback in the NFL. The Patriots signed him a week later, fresh off their 3rd Super Bowl in 4 yrs, which launched the best 6 years of his NFL career. During his 7th year at NFL Network, he was falsely accused of sexual harassment by a former FEMALE employee and suspended. On the other hand, unconditional confidence is rooted in our inherent worth and value as individuals, regardless of external circumstances.
