POPULARITY
Welcome to Generation! ⛪︎Our world is obsessed with greatness...who's the best, the most admired, the ultimate GOAT (Greatest of All Time). But in Mark 9, Jesus flips the script. As His disciples argue about status, Jesus redefines greatness not as climbing higher, but as stepping lower: becoming the servant of all, welcoming the overlooked, and embracing inconvenience as a pathway to love.In this powerful and timely message, we're invited to detox from our culture's obsession with status and rediscover a greatness rooted in humility, service, and the freedom that comes from knowing who we are in Christ. If you're tired of the pressure to prove yourself, this sermon offers a freeing alternative: let Jesus be your greatness, so you can be free to love.
Two Quants and a Financial Planner | Bridging the Worlds of Investing and Financial Planning
In this episode of "Two Quants and a Financial Planner," we break down some of Warren Buffett's most important investing lessons and life wisdom through a series of interview clips and annual meeting footage. We start by discussing whether Buffett truly deserves the "GOAT" (Greatest of All Time) title in investing, drawing some interesting parallels to NFL running backs like Barry Sanders and comparing different investing legends' careers. We analyze Buffett's key principles including: His famous "circle of competence" concept and how it both helped and potentially limited him The evolution of his investing strategy from "cigar butt" value investing to quality businesses His views on margin of safety and how it varies based on business quality Why he believes his biggest mistakes were errors of omission rather than commission His advice about investing in yourself as your greatest asset The importance of having the right heroes while recognizing their imperfections What he would do if starting with $1 million today Why he advocates index investing for most people Throughout the discussion, we weave in our own perspectives and experiences, some NFL analogies (including some self-deprecating Jets fan moments), and even manage to work in references to Charles Bukowski poetry and Star Wars. We aim to make these timeless investing lessons both educational and entertaining. You have to sacrifice and work hard for it. 梅西的綽號就山羊(GOAT)其實是來自Greatest of All Time。 Messi's nickname "GOAT" actually comes from the acronym for "Greatest of All Time". At the age of 11, Messi was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency, which required him to receive daily growth hormone injections for three years. The treatment was very expensive, but his family persevered. Eventually, Messi joined FC Barcelona, where the club helped pay for his medical expenses. Later on, Messi led his team to victory in the FIFA World Youth Championship. 2.Derek Jeter (1974.6.26) Quote: Surround yourself with good people. The origin of the nickname "Mr. November": The MLB World Series has a history of over 100 years, but there have only been three instances where the series extended into November, including 2015. The first time was on November 1, 2001, during Game 4 of the World Series. Although the game started on the last day of October, the Yankees and Diamondbacks battled into extra innings, crossing over into November 1st. In the early hours of that day, Yankees captain Derek Jeter hit a walk-off home run, earning him the nickname "Mr. November". 3.大威廉斯(Venus Williams) 1980.6.17 Quote: I don't focus on what I'm up against. Hebrews 3:1-6 The Jews recognized Moses as one of their great ancestors, so the author of Hebrews makes it clear that Jesus is even greater than Moses. Moses was a faithful servant, caring for God's people, but Jesus is faithful as a son, overseeing his Father's house, so we should fix our thoughts on Jesus. Athletes as role models, heroes, teachers The athletes that I admire the most are the ones who posses HUMILITY. Simone Biles, a designated GOAT ( Greatest of All Time) should not need an introduction. Perhaps some of you don't know that she was raised by exceptional foster parents. She is a victorious survivor of abuse by her former OLYMPIC coach. Here is her COME BACK routine where she absolutely stuns us all. https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxffYmmuRVLOLsuDA59QQFxvh3C3rsguJ2 Another humble athlete who exhibits humility is https://youtube.com/shorts/KVxbDazibEA?feature=share hits the ball out of the stadium 450 feet I love that he hits a foul out of the stadium at 114 mph and doesn't even show emotion. There you have it. Humility wins with heroes/heroines and role models. Kundalini yoga - this quote is from tut.com: "Relax. Breathe in deep. Hold it. Let it out. Loosen your shoulders. Smile. Trevor's Relentless attention to detail coupled with the team rope design team at Cactus resulted in not only the creation the best selling Relentless line of team ropes and calf ropes, but a positive effect on the quality of all Cactus products, from ropes and sports boots to horse blankets.Today many of the original cast of the Cactus start-up are still pushing the yellow and green every day in the rope shop in Pleasanton, TX. Mike Piland is the head of public relations, Barry is the general manager, and Rob is making sure every team rope is perfectly coiled. The Cactus Crew has stuck together for knocking on thirty years now with no signs of slowing down in the future.

김영철의 파워FM - 진짜 영국식 영어 66회 - 역대급이야! = Legendary GOAT (Greatest Of All Time)
Who is the GOAT (Greatest of All Time)? That's the question we are going to consider in this sermon from Mark 9:30-37. We like to think of ourselves as better than others, but Jesus shows us a better way. He truly is the greatest and He calls us to be servants that put others first. How do I think of myself as being better than other people? How should I think about others instead?

Not just for the barnyard anymore. A real discussion on what make a man the GOAT (Greatest of all Time) in his craft!!!
How to be the GOAT (Greatest of All Time)? Matthew 18:1-9 || 2/19/23 Have you heard the saying, “He is the GOAT” “Greatest Of All Time.”Disciples ask a version of the question, "Who is the greatest?"Here in Matthew 18, we find the fourth of 5 great discourses in Matthew. The Lead In: Matthew 16 - Jesus asked the disciples, “Who do the people say that the Son of Man is?” Followed by “Who do you say that I am?” and Peter's confession in Matthew 16:16. Matthew 17 we read the account of the transfiguration on the mountain with Jesus, Moses, and Elijah. Peter, James, and John witnessed. · Moses – burning bush, parting of the Red Sea, 10 Commandments,…· Elijah – powerful OT prophet, facing off against prophets of Baal. The disciples knew He was the messiah who the O.T. spoke of. Jesus also told them He would suffer and die, but they seem to have missed the point. Notice these first four verses of Matt. 18 set the stage for the rest of the chapter and how to relate to other Christians. God will deal with those who lead His children into sin. Jesus illustrates that sin is deadly and His followers should be deal quickly with it.

On this episode of the podcast we discussed the past fight night card which included the main event between Derek Brunson vs Kevin Holland, which we believe exposed some holes in Kevin Hollands game. We also reviewed the other fights on the main card including Tai Tuivasas knockout and Max Griffins TKO. In other news, we discussed Khabib now officially retiring and brought up the discussion whether or not he is the GOAT (Greatest of All Time). We also talked about the recently scheduled bout between Charles Oliveria vs Michael Chandler which is for vacant lightweight title. Also, considering that the title is now vacated we argued whether or not Chandler having a title shot was fair since he's only fought once in the UFC.
