Even as a child, Heath Evans knew what his future was going to look like—he believed in his dreams of becoming an NFL player and eventually being on TV. Having fulfilled those dreams, Heath now uses the experiences from his decade-long career in the NFL, the lessons taught by his parents, and his faith in God to coach men on mastering their manhood from a Biblical perspective. As the son of a marine, Heath learned early on that believing in his dreams would only take him so far. To make them a reality, he had to work hard every day toward his goals. He learned to continually raise the bar on his own definition of excellence. When NFL coaching legend Bill Belichick told him with brutal honesty that he needed to create his own position with the New England Patriots or be dropped from the team, Heath accepted the challenge. Instead of dissolving into a victim mindset, he prioritized the needs of his team over his own. He worked hard to improve his skill set, thus earning his place alongside some of the greatest athletes in the game. Main Topics Heath's journey to his career in the NFL (03:06) Battling fear and self doubt (06:30) How Coach Bill Belichick helped shape Heath's success as a player (09:30) Advice for those who receive tough feedback (13:45) Facing honest reflection with courage (17:20) Enterprise leadership: putting the business first (20:07) Episode Links:https://www.builtready.comConnect with Heath:https://twitter.com/heathevans44https://www.facebook.com/HeathEvans44/https://www.instagram.com/heathevans44/?hl=enConnect with Adam:https://www.startwithawin.com/https://www.facebook.com/AdamContosCEOhttps://twitter.com/AdamContosCEOhttps://www.instagram.com/adamcontosceo/Listen, rate, and subscribe!Apple PodcastsSpotifyGoogle PodcastsToday's episode was brought to you by RE/MAX, nobody in the world sells more real estate than RE/MAX. Both Heath and Chris open up about how they have faced sin, and what sacrifice and humility have to do with real manhood.

You'll hear me mention this throughout the interview but the thing I appreciate the most about Heath is his willingness and ability to seek, hear, and speak the truth. It takes an incredible level of courage and humility to tell the truth's of his past and his vulnerabilities as a man of faith the way that he does, which is something I greatly respect. But above it all, Heath is an incredible man, husband, and father who is ferocious and passionate in his faith. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to chat with him. This episode was something that Frank and Jay NEEDED to hear. Heath did not hold back about his football career but even more important, his life experiences. Heath spoke volume about his struggles in life, his suffering, his successes and failures. Today Heath uses his life experience, skills, and knowledge to help men of all ages learn and grow together. In this episode a lot of suffering was spoken about but the thing about suffering is that it is needed in life to grow. Suffering is a PART of life. We are hoping this episode can aid some people in a dark time or prevent people from going into a dark time. This is a MUST listen episode. Thank you Heath!!! ========================================================================================================================================== "Heath Evans Is a former 10 year NFL Fullback and current TV Analyst for NFL NETWORK. Evans played college ball in the SEC at Auburn University and was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round of the 2001 NFL Draft. During his career, Evans played for the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, and New Orleans Saints, the last of which he won Super Bowl 44 with. Evans was the first fullback taken in the 2001 NFL draft when the Seattle Seahawks selected him in the third round (82nd overall). He spent four years with the Seahawks before a brief stent with the Miami Dolphins in 2005 . Soon after being released by the Dolphins, he was signed by the New England Patriots where he spent the following four years before joining the New Orleans Saints. It was with the Saints that he wrapped up the final two years of his long-lived NFL playing career. Throughout Evans' career he was a part of two different Super Bowl experiences. In 2007 at Super Bowl 42 he and his teammates tried to complete the perfect 19-0 season, but fell short to the New York Giants in a 17-14 loss. Two years later again, with the Saints he was part of bringing the city of New Orleans its first Lombardi trophy by beating the Indianapolis Colts 31-17 in the unforgettable Super Bowl 44. Evans is known for his passion. Whether talking about his family, relationship with his daughters, making his opinion known on NFL Network, or attacking his daily fitness regime. He's all in with a mindset and wants to dominate everything he sets his hands to do. He is goal oriented and set on using his athletic and television success to make a difference in people's lives. Heath believes humility is the greatest asset a leader can posses, and that great leaders are created, not born. Wherein lies his passion to teach, instruct, and coach the next generation of young athletes so they can achieve their goals and experience true success." ========================================================================================================================================== @reps_for_responders @heathevans44 @therealjumpmanjay @inside_the_lab_podcast https://repsforresponders.org Youtube: Reps For Responders --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/Inside-The-Laybrinth/support

Heath Evans played fullback in the NFL for 10 seasons and has a Superbowl Ring to show for it, from his time with the New Orleans Saints. Four of those seasons were with the New England Patriots and football royalty Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, for whom he has tremendous amounts of respect and many lessons on leadership. So it's no wonder that he can talk about grit. But what may not be expected is that this tough guy would be so vulnerable, honest and forthright about his personal flaws or that facing down his own demons and surrendering to God would be more difficult than facing bone-crushing linebackers week after week for a decade. We riff on leadership, proving naysayers wrong, following a dream even when every external force seems to be trying to thwart it, owning up to mistakes and getting back on the trail to recovery and much, much more. It is not the critic who counts. If you’ve been knocked down... get up, dust yourself off, and get back in the arena. HELLO, MOMMIES! We're still reeling from all of the Robert Paul Champagne memes and content you've made for us. It's been overwhelming in all the best ways. Tom and Christina review some of the reaction to RPC coming on the show the last two weeks. Have you ever had a fart bully in your life? Is Emma Stone hot enough to be cast as Ryan Gosling's love interest? The Mommies debate. Next, Josh Potter is on the couch to wet our whistle for our first guest, Sera Gamble. Josh tells some wild stories of cyber stalking and is presented with a proposition by the Main Mommies. After hearing about some cyber stalking tales, Sera Gamble (writer and creator of "YOU") is in studio to give her insight into cyber stalking and how "Joe" in YOU has implemented social media to become a stalker. Sera also gives us some teases about the upcoming season of YOU and the story of getting the show out to the masses. Next, he played for the Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, Miami Dolphins and The New England Patriots, but more importantly, he played against Tom in High School. It's fullback and broadcaster Heath Evans! Heath and Tom reminisce about their time in high school and the small differences in their athletic career, plus Heath has some great stories from his NFL days about Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and Randy Moss.
Tony Blauer's image has been gracing the covers of Martial Arts and Self-Defense magazines for decades, he teaches tier-one operators, and he is a big deal in that world, but the reason I wanted to sit down with him for 10,000 "No"s is that his system, and the way he articulates it, is so personal, practical and applicable to each and every one of us. Contrary to the stereotype that a tough guy would go around bullying people, Tony believes that violence, and his own application of violence, should be avoided at all costs. When you hear this conversation it will not only make you more aware of your surroundings, but also more aware of your relationship to fear in all areas of your life. His rise to the top of his field was not without tremendous resilience to overcome the naysayers who mocked his new approach to self-defense. I encourage you all to not only listen, but following the episode, to check out the links in the show notes to get to know Tony's work in more detail and possibly even arrange to have him come to your community at some point. It could be the difference between life and death. SHOW NOTES: Self-defense is a way of life, (2:52 ). Why people need to think about self-defense more carefully, (6:38). "I’m a life extension insurance salesman”, (8:38). “You want to never be near a situation where you might have to defend yourself,” (9:18). When you start implementing introspective changes your mindset is shifts, (13:13). Understanding the timeline of violence, (18:05). Startle Flinch is our fastest human reaction, (25:45). "Fear will creep its way into all of our lives, however the ability to protect ourselves and our loved ones is arguably the single most important skill one can possess", (27:17). If there were sudden violence happening around you, you don’t have the time to dial 911, you have to be aware before the conflict, (30:03). You have to be the first responder of your confrontation, (30:23). “Our (self-defense) system is entirely scientific, it’s a blend of physics, physiology, and psychology”, (35:11). “I can take any person, world class or beginner, and make them stronger in minutes by helping them understand (the system)”, (35:22). As soon as you break contact, you must run to safety, (42:23). “Don’t let ego and pride dictate your next strategy”, (43:00). Muscle memory isn’t a thing, it’s all neuro programming, (46:00). “My big quest is to get the world to understand that practicing for self-defense to deal with a violent encounter is emotionally and psychologically very different than practicing a martial art of a combat sport”, (46:37). SHOWNOTES: Starting to be aware of his own body at age 4, (4:20). “The leaders are the ones that need to lead by serving others.”, (4:52). Growing up in a non-labeled religious home, (8:57). Living a life all for ourselves, (13:11). “When you live for self-satisfaction, no amount of money makes you put your head in a pillow at night.”, (14:47). Tom Brady’s character, (18:38). The lack of character with the NFL on Deflate Gate, (20:23). “Loving, accepting and forgiving.”, (26:44). Starting to see many communities drop the victim mentality, (29:02). “The biggest lie of anything is to divide and conquer.”, (32:38). Wanting to always protect and honor his ex-wife and her experience with sexual assault, (34:05). Starting their non-profit together for children who have been sexually assaulted, (34:44). “The hardest thing about sexual abuse is that it wounds the soul.”, (35:23). Blowing his knee out from balancing his home lifestyle and football career, (36:09). 5-month spiral of self-pity and bitterness, (37:34). “Anger and forgiveness leads to bitterness and it doesn’t just corrupt us, but it corrupts everyone we love.”, (39:45). Discussing his journey to Auburn University football, (44:36). Experiencing constant rejection, (48:08). The challenges with being a leader, (50:09). “I believe we suffer these things, so we can comfort others.”, (53:46). Encouraging others with his new life motivation, (58:24). “It’s the failures that make the successes so sweet.”, (1:04:06). “It all starts with humility. Everything I learned about leadership whether if it is fatherhood, being a husband, being a fullback.”, (1:10:36). Hardwick & Richards: NFL Network's Heath Evans
NFL Network analyst Heath Evans is an opinionated guy and not afraid to say what's on his mind! He's also a former Auburn Tiger, and played pro ball with Seattle, the Patriots, and the New Orleans Saints. He'll tell you why Tom Brady's the best quarterback in the game, what was different about a Drew Brees huddle and offense, how Bill Belichick manages to keep on winning, and what might have been for Peyton Manning had he not suffered that critical neck injury. He's breaking down the draft, Christian McCaffrey's NFL future, and Adrian Peterson's potential comeback with the Saints. He's also talking Nick Saban, CTE and football, his own combine and draft day, NFL owners and ownership, and staying healthy on and off the field.
Exactly a year later to the date, CJ and Edgar were able to join me for the same kind of Draft Recap we did in 2016. In hindsight, it's crazy how much more optimism we have this time around too. We talked draft values, the current Tight End situation, Kelvin Benjamin and take a trip to Hot Take City courtesy of Heath Evans. Oh, and definitely some Anquan Boldin in there too. #Panthers #NFLDraft

First I want to give a shout to Heath Evans! MAY YOUR CHILDREN MARRY 49ER FANS! #49erfam as you are fully aware the nonstop onslaught of insults started over a year ago. Remember every game last season when right around the time during a given contest it appeared the 49ers had succumb to the opponent, how they would flash that damned list of 49ers that either retired or left the organization? Why they insisted on continuing that trend till game 15 is mind boggling! Don’t you believe for a second they don’t still have that file, and can’t wait to flash it upon the screen for every game that it appears will be #49ers lost! Meanwhile, the disrespect has followed us right into the 2016 season. Every 49ers prognostication has us winning 2 & 3 games with the more generous predictions giving us up to 4 games! Listen #fam, the sons a bitches aren’t using any science to come up with these predictions. Did you see the NFL network #49ers predictions of the 2016 schedule with Heath Edwards standing next to that display board all stuffed into that suit looking like a talking sausage with arms using the term “my gut tells me that the 49ers will win game 1 against the Rams,” but if it was left up to him that would be the only win for the rest of the season? See, that’s hatred, and intelligence had nothing to do with that prediction. That Evans gets paid for that bit of information is outrageous! Here on Ronbo Sports we’ve enlisted the brilliance of everybody’s favorite “TTC lord FortynineSense” to shed some brilliance as to why the #49ers will be upsetting the NFL community network TV, and spotlighting Vegas for perpetuating the foolishness being puked up by the NFL machine. The #49ers schedule is not going to end in the results that the ass clowns have put out there just to embarrass us. #Fam you need this podcast trust me, for the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the “RED & GOLD TRUTH"!
