Claire Pelletreau was just starting to grow her side business as a Facebook ad and marketing consultant when her full-time job disappeared. Desperate to land enough clients just to pay the bills, she was disappointed at how difficult it was to find real tactical advice that would help actually her get paid month to month. The Get Paid Podcast is Claire’s attempt to pull back the curtain on the reality of running an online business. All these people pulling in “six figures†- how are they ACTUALLY doing it? What kind of money do they take home after expenses? What are those expenses, anyway? Are they truly “solopreneurs†or are they supported by a team? What does that team do for them? How are they marketing their offerings and growing their lists? How long did it take to get to where they are? You’ll discover how different entrepreneurs get paid and what it costs them to bring in that money.
The Get Paid Podcast: The Stark Reality of Entrepreneurship and Being Your Own Boss is an incredible podcast that delves into the world of entrepreneurship in a refreshingly honest and relatable way. Hosted by Claire, this podcast stands out among a sea of entrepreneurship podcasts because it tackles the nitty-gritty details of running a business while also maintaining a human touch.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is Claire's ability to ask tough questions to her guests. She is not afraid to dig deep and explore both the successes and struggles that entrepreneurs face. Her solo episodes are particularly enlightening as she shares her own insights and experiences, providing valuable lessons for listeners. The selection of guests on this podcast is also diverse, offering a range of perspectives from different industries.
Another great aspect of this podcast is the emphasis on data and numbers. Claire asks the questions that many other podcasts fail to address, giving listeners valuable insights into pricing services, scaling businesses, and other important aspects of entrepreneurship. This focus on practical information makes this podcast an essential resource for anyone building or growing their business.
As for the worst aspects, some listeners may find Claire's social awkwardness during interviews a bit disruptive to the flow. Her transitions between questions can be a little abrupt, which can sometimes make the interview feel disjointed. However, this minor issue does not detract from the overall quality and value of the content.
In conclusion, The Get Paid Podcast: The Stark Reality of Entrepreneurship and Being Your Own Boss is a must-listen for anyone interested in entrepreneurship or growing their own business. With its honest discussions, practical advice, and diverse lineup of guests, this podcast offers valuable insights that will inspire and educate entrepreneurs at any stage of their journey.

I've made a lot of decisions in my business that, upon reflection, I'm not always sure I'd do again. But, this particular choice really has me thinking. It might be one of my biggest regrets. That is…raising my prices too soon. It's not necessarily the choice, but the hastiness and motivation behind price changes. The lesson here is to discern whether you're actually initiating a new strategy or reacting to your unresolved money and selling fears. It was a combination for me. So, I'm laying it all out there today to tell you my exact thoughts, as of today, and what I plan on doing going forward. This Week on the Get Paid Podcast: The original pricing of Absolute FB Ads and why it was so low Why I went through so many price points and what I think about it now When pricing is and is not a strategy - and often there's more to look at before you make big changes Learning to take the entire context of your launch and audience building into account before making big decisions Why we should be collecting case studies like yesterday Why I'm still happy with my current prices and what it took to get there Mentioned in this podcast: https://clairepells.com/getpaid https://clairepells.com/afa-waitlist Now it's time to GET PAID Thanks for tuning into the Get Paid Podcast! This is my open letter to business coaches. There's some (perhaps well-meaning) advice too many coaches give to their clients. I know the intention is to reduce risk for your clients. But, most of the time, you're setting them up for slower, more painful business growth. Today, I want to tell you exactly why you need to stop telling clients to wait until their business is bigger before they run ads. This Week on the Get Paid Podcast: Why I'm mad at business coaches (and, yes, I still I love you) You can't learn what works without this one crucial ingredient Some of you are accidentally setting your clients up for failure Why ads are often less risky than relying on an organic model for growth Organic social media marketing isn't enough (or even that effective anymore) to help us learn about and improve our messaging What really goes into ads for businesses at an earlier stage (and with a smaller budget) Mentioned in this podcast: https://clairepells.com/class Now it's time to GET PAID Thanks for tuning into the Get Paid Podcast! Today I answered the age-old question: “How much should I spend on ads?” Sure, cost per lead is important. But, it's not always the most important metric to focus on when you're already making sales.
