Okay, so you know how Jess has been bugging Cindy FOREVER to host a summit? Well, she finally did it! In this fun behind-the-scenes chat, Cindy spills all the tea on her first-ever Fractional Shift Summit that absolutely crushed it with 1,400+ registrations and $24K in revenue (and yes, she's got the Airtable data to prove it — you should see how happy spreadsheet data makes her!).Cindy opens up about why she finally felt ready to "take up space" as THE fractional expert, how she convinced practically every sponsor she approached to say yes (only three said no!), and why she thinks the nonprofit world needs way more time to make decisions than those "launch in 3 days" gurus will tell you.If you've been on the fence about hosting your own signature event, this episode is your permission slip to either go all-in or wait until it feels right. As Cindy says, it's definitely a "high effort, high reward" project — but now that she's built it once, she can rinse and repeat next year with half the stress.Highlights:The moment Cindy knew she was ready to claim her spot as THE thought leader on fractional roles (and why she's glad she waited)How she crafted a "curated approach" to partnerships that made sponsors feel like they were getting the golden ticket (and they funded all her speaker fees!)Why she started promoting a full two months before launch (and why LinkedIn delivered even better than her email list)The hilarious reality of launching her Academy right when the nonprofit world was in crisis mode (and what she'll do differently next time)Her secret weapon named Christine who made the whole thing possible (because let's be real, no one does this alone!)Breaking News Alert! Jess and Cindy also drop the bomb that they're hosting in-person masterminds this year in Toronto (May 21), Boulder (August), and possibly Atlanta (October). Kevin was devastated about his diagnosis.  At the time, Kevin had gut health issues, poor energy, wasn't sleeping well, and had high stress.  So, Kevin knew he had to address everything to fix his health. Finally, Kevin got the right plan for his health and bones.  [06:10] The Answer To Your Health Problems Won't Come From The Pharmacy  Kevin always thought that the answer to his health problems would come from a pharmacy or a doctor.  Throughout his life, Kevin took sleeping pills, antidepressants, antibiotics, and countless other medications to help address the signs and symptoms of his condition.  However, he never really received a complete resolution of those issues because he was just covering up the cause. Kevin just wanted to divest himself from thinking that the solution to his health was in a pill.  [09:20] The Importance of Gut Health For Your Overall Health Your body and your bones are like plants. To grow, they need nutrients and the right conditions. Most people focus on nutrients like salads and smoothies. They're not considering the soil. Our gut is like the soil; it is where we absorb almost everything.  To absorb anything, you need roots in your soil.  Our roots are called villi. They're these tiny little hairlike projections that cover our small intestine. The villi will shuttle nutrients into your bloodstream so they can travel where they are needed in your body.  When you have poor digestion, you won't be able to break down food properly.  [13:45] Gut Health: Testing Your Stomach Acid and Other Options  First, figure out where your stomach acid is; there are a few different tests that you can do.  If you have low stomach acid, you can supplement with betaine HCl. You could also use some digestive enzymes to help break down your food.  You need a digestive stool test to understand what is going on inside your microbiome.  Then, you will work with a practitioner to build a protocol.  Check out Gut Zoomer: https://www.vibrant-wellness.com/tests/gut-zoomer/ [15:50] Do I Have To Stop Drinking Coffee If I Have Gut Issues? Do I have to stop drinking coffee? The answer is no. The big concern is caffeine when it comes to coffee. Caffeine is going to vary slightly to increase calcium excretion. Most people don't need to avoid coffee. Instead, drink less.  If you've got caffeine intakes greater than 300 milligrams a day, calcium excreted in the urine will increase.  [17:30] When Should I Get My First Bone Density Scan?  The earlier, the better when it comes to getting your first bone density scan.  Around 30 or 40 would be an excellent time to get your first scan. Get a scan now so you can understand where you are at. Maybe you will find out something that you can start addressing now. You can build bone strength at any age. It just gets more challenging as you get older.  [22:30] Finding A Functional Medicine Practitioner For Postmenopausal Women Primary osteoporosis is typically related to the decrease in estrogen in postmenopausal women. When estrogen levels decrease as they do during menopause, it's going to cause an increase in the activity level of cells that break down bone.  You need to have conversations with a functional medicine practitioner or a naturopathic physician to determine if hormones will be right for you.  Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy could be the right choice.  [28:00] Spinach and Kale Could Be Causing Digestive Problems  Oxalates are an antinutrient. Antinutrients can cause problems for people who have digestive issues. People eat a lot of spinach. If you can't break down the oxalates, you will have some issues.  Instead, you should eat arugula; it is super low in oxalates.  [30:10] Why Kevin Is A Massive Fan of Coconut Oil Coconut oil is good for energy, weight, brain function, heart health, memory, skin, hair, and teeth.  Coconut oil can be helpful in the protection against bone loss. Plus, it's great because it is full of MCT; they go straight to the liver. Lastly, coconut oil has antimicrobial effects.   [37:40] The Importance of Having A Strategy When It Comes To Bone Health If you rely on a single supplement, you may lose more bone because you didn't have a strategy. Kevin will develop a strategy that addresses root cause issues. You have to get to the underlying issue!  Learn about Bone Coach: https://bonecoach.com/ There's a free masterclass that you can check out from Bone Coach. Episode 8 of our podcast discusses our federal lawsuit against Michigan Secretary of State, Jocelyn Benson, for failing to remove deceased registrants from the voter rolls. Our analysis reveals that as of August 2021, there were over 25,975 deceased registrants on Michigan's voter rolls. Almost 4,000 of these registrants have been dead for over two decades. We won a similar case in Pennsylvania over the deceased registrants on their voter rolls. In a settlement agreement, the Pennsylvania Department of State agreed to remove over 20,000 deceased registrants from the voter roll.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Strengthens Protections for Captive Tigers under the Endangered Species Act   In an effort to strengthen protections for certain captive tigers under the Endangered Species Act (ESA), the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has finalized a rule declaring that captive “generic” tigers — tigers of unknown genetic background or crosses between two different subspecies of tigers — are no longer exempt from certain permitting requirements.   Anyone selling tigers across state lines must now first obtain an interstate commerce permit or register under the Captive-bred Wildlife Registration program regardless of whether it is a generic tiger or a pure subspecies.   “Removing the loophole that enabled some tigers to be sold for purposes that do not benefit tigers in the wild will strengthen protections for these magnificent creatures and help reduce the trade in tigers that is so detrimental to wild populations,” said Service Director Dan Ashe. “This will be a positive driver for tiger conservation.”   The wild tiger is under severe threat from habitat loss and the demand for tiger parts in traditional Asian medicine. Once abundant throughout Asia, today the species numbers only 3,000-5,000 animals in small fragmented groups. As a result, tigers are protected as endangered under the ESA and under Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) – the highest levels of international protection. Tigers readily breed in captivity, however, and the number of captive tigers in the United States alone likely exceeds the numbers found in the wild, although the exact number is currently unknown.   The Service has worked with international partners to implement measures that ensure wild tigers survive in their native habitats and that captive tigers do not contribute to the illegal trade in tiger parts.  While this new rule does not prevent individuals from owning generic tigers, extending the permitting or registration requirement to all tigers strengthens the Service's efforts in addressing the illegal wildlife trade, both domestically and internationally. This rule results in a uniform policy that applies to all tigers and will help Service law enforcement agents enforce the ESA.   The final rule will publish in the Federal Register on April 6, 2016, and will go into effect 30 days after publication on May 6, 2016.   For a copy of the final rule, please go to http://www.fws.gov/policy/frsystem/default.cfm and click on 2016 Final Rules for Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants.   Note: Big Cat Rescue has been pressuring the USFWS since at least 2007 to rescind this loophole and on 8/22/11 after a meeting with the USFWS the Generic Tiger issue was published to the Federal Register for public comment and got over 15,000 comments in support of our request to ban the breeding of non purebred tigers. Carole Baskin emailed those in charge, at least every six months, during this 9 year process, always asking when they would finally take action.  According to their Q&A it sounds like the USFWS may still rubber stamp activities that really don't help tiger conservation, but it's a step. Regulations can't work, because USDA and USFWS don't have the resources nor apparently the will to enforce the weak rules they have, so that is why we need an all out ban on the private possession of big cats.  You can help get that done at http://BigCatAct.com   Questions and Answers   U.S. Captive-bred Inter-subspecific Crossed or Generic Tigers Final Rule   What action is the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service taking?   The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service has finalized a rule that strengthens protections for certain captive tigers under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The final rule declares that captive “generic tigers” (Panthera tigris) (i.e., specimens not identified or identifiable as members of Bengal, Sumatran, Siberian or Indochinese subspecies (P. t. tigris, P. t. sumatrae, P. t. altaica and P. t. corbetti, respectively)) are no longer exempt from certain permitting requirements.   Anyone selling tigers across state lines must now first obtain an interstate commerce permit or register under the Captive-bred Wildlife Registration (CBW) program, regardless of whether it is a generic tiger or a pure subspecies.   What is a generic tiger?   Inter-subspecific crossed or “generic” tigers are of unknown genetic origin and are typically not maintained in a manner to ensure that inbreeding or other inappropriate matings of animals do not occur.   What is the CBW program?   In 1979, the Service established Captive-bred Wildlife (CBW) regulations to reduce federal permitting requirements and facilitate the breeding of endangered and threatened species for conservation purposes. Under the CBW program, otherwise prohibited activities, such as interstate commerce, are authorized, but only when the activities can be shown to enhance the propagation or survival of the species. Registrants of the CBW program must provide a written annual report with information on activities including births, deaths and transfers of specimens.   Why were generic tigers exempted from the CBW?   In 1998, the Service amended the CBW regulations to delete the requirement to register under the program for holders of inter-subspecific crossed or generic tigers. This exemption was based on the alleged lack of conservation value of these specimens due to their mixed or unknown genetic composition, and the belief there was conservation value in exhibition designed to educate the public about the ecological role and conservation needs of the species. The intention behind the exemption was for the Service to focus its oversight on populations of “purebred” animals of the various tiger subspecies to further their conservation in the wild. Despite this exemption, inter-subspecific crossed or generic tigers are still protected under the ESA. Tigers have been listed under the ESA as endangered since 1970.   Why should generic tigers now be included under CBW registration?   By exempting holders of inter-subspecific crossed or generic tigers from the CBW registration process in 1998, the Service may have inadvertently suggested that the breeding of inter-subspecific crossed or generic tigers qualifies as conservation. By removing the CBW exemption, the Service can reinforce the value of conservation breeding of individual tiger subspecies and discourage the breeding of inter-subspecific crossed or generic tigers. The Service has finalized this change to the regulations to ensure the agency can maintain strict oversight of captive tigers in the United States.   Withdrawing the CBW exemption for generic tigers would also close a loophole in current federal and state regulations that could allow for the use of captive U.S. tigers in trade in a manner inconsistent with conservation of the species. It places the United States in a stronger position in international negotiations regarding commercial tiger breeding farms in Asia and trade in tiger parts.   How will removal of the generic tiger exemption from the CBW regulations impact current owners of generic tigers?   Removing the CBW exemption for generic tigers will not result in control of private ownership, and will not impact sale of generic tigers within their state of residence (intrastate commerce) or non-commercial movement across state lines. However, other activities, such as the sale of animals across state lines (interstate commerce), would require authorization from the Service before such actions could be taken.   While this new rule does not prevent individuals from owning generic tigers, the permitting or registration requirement for all tigers strengthens the Service's efforts in addressing the illegal wildlife trade, both domestically and internationally. Tigers are listed under Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), which includes species threatened with extinction. Trade in specimens of these species is permitted only in exceptional circumstances.   This final rule results in a uniform policy that applies to all tigers and will help Service law enforcement agents enforce the ESA.   Would all private owners have to apply for a permit before breeding their tigers?   Private owners would still be able to breed generic tigers without a permit for sale or commercial purposes within their state or for non-commercial movement across state lines, provided that you meet the criteria of the Captive Wildlife Safety Act.   I own a male and female tiger and would like to breed them so that I can give a cub to my daughter. Would I need to apply for a permit under this new regulation?   If you plan to give the cub away as opposed to selling it, you would not need to apply for a permit, regardless of the recipient's state, provided that you meet the criteria of the Captive Wildlife Safety Act if the cub is going across state lines. If you have additional cubs in the litter, you could sell them within your state to someone else who resides in the same state or donate them to sanctuaries or others, either inside or outside of your state. Again, you would need to meet the criteria of the Captive Wildlife Safety Act if moving tigers across state lines.   I'm a private owner of tigers and I often display them at fairs and festivals in other states. Would the new regulation prohibit me from doing this?   The new regulation would still allow generic tigers to cross state lines for exhibition purposes, as long as the tigers are not to be sold or offered for sale.   How can I meet the standard to get a permit or register under the CBW regulations to sell a generic tiger across state lines if the Service is saying that generic tigers have no any conservation value?   The CBW registration was set up to allow institutions that were breeding listed species for conservation purposes to sell animals across state lines to other registered facilities. While it is true that breeding these animals would not provide a direct conservation benefit to the species in the wild and therefore the Service probably would not register a facility with generic tigers, it is still possible to obtain an individual permit authorizing interstate commerce with a generic tiger if the applicant meets the issuance criteria established in our regulations, i.e., if the parties involved in the sale are carrying out activities that enhance the propagation or survival of the species. While it is unlikely that such a commercial transaction would provide a direct benefit to the species, such as reintroduction, there may be indirect benefits that could be obtained from the transaction. It should also be noted that the requirement to show this benefit could be met through an individual or institution, or a group of individuals or institutions together, working to provide a benefit to the species in the wild.   For example, if one or more zoological institutions were purchasing inter-subspecific crossed or generic tigers for educational and display purposes, they could provide support (e.g., via the solicitation of donations from visitors) to carry out on-the-ground conservation efforts in the tiger's native range. The Service prefers a clear on-going commitment of several years on the part of the applicant for such conservation or research support. This on-going commitment could be fulfilled by a group of institutions working together to maximize their resources for the benefit of tigers in the wild.   What will the economic impact be on the public and small businesses?   The Service does not have data on how many businesses are involved in the interstate commerce of generic tigers, the number of businesses for which an interstate commerce permit or registration in the CBW program will be a viable option, and the economic impacts if prospective applicants are unable to either secure an interstate commerce permit or registration in the CBW program. Nonetheless, the Service believes that the regulatory change is not major in scope and would create only a modest financial or paperwork burden on the affected members of the general public.   This rule would not have a significant economic effect. If individuals or breeding operations wish to carry out an otherwise prohibited activity, such as interstate commerce, it would require that a permit application be submitted to the Service at a cost of $100-$200 per application. Submission of an application, however, would not be a guarantee that authorization will be granted.   Hi, I'm Carole Baskin and I've been writing my story since I was able to write, but when the media goes to share it, they only choose the parts that fit their idea of what will generate views.  If I'm going to share my story, it should be the whole story.  The titles are the dates things happened. While the goal continues to be to bring the community together annually for an in-person conference, USA Triathlon received overwhelming feedback in a survey it sent a few months ago that many were still recovering and the cost of travel and lodging, as well as job professional and personal obligations, made a virtual conference the best option in 2022. The conference will also record all live sessions and provide attendees the option to view sessions on-demand on their own schedule for three months after the event.   Endurance Exchange is a joint effort to grow, inspire and support the multisport community by bringing industry stakeholders together to learn, share best practices, network and collaborate. The virtual format in 2022 will once again be hosted on Cvent and encourage participation from an even wider range of multisport constituents. The event is open not only to those involved in the business of triathlon, but also to multisport enthusiasts of all types — from beginners to competitive age-group athletes to Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls — as specific athlete-focused sessions will cater to all skill and experience levels. USA Triathlon is continuing to explore options for in-person educational, resource sharing and networking opportunities later in 2022 and will provide additional information as details are finalized.   New in 2022, this year's event will feature a content track specifically for multisport club leaders and administrators, and two options for the Athlete Insider track for novices or advanced athletes. Attendees can also expect additional engaging and interactive features, including live polling, in-session chats, in-session surveys, and prizes for the most engaged conference attendees.   Registration for the 2022 event is now open at enduranceexchange.com at early-bird pricing of $150 for the All-Access track and $45 for the Athlete Insider track. All registrants will also have the opportunity to purchase or extend their USA Triathlon annual memberships for 12 months at a discounted rate of $35. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn up to 10 coaching and/or race director CEUs.   Nearly 1,100 members of the multisport community attended virtually in 2021 to engage with more than 60 hours content across nearly 80 sessions and more than 130 speakers. Registrants should expect a similar volume of content in 2022's edition.   The conference sessions will run from approximately 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m. EST on Thursday, March 3 and Friday, March 4, and from approximately 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. EST on Saturday, March 5.   For the third year, USA Triathlon is offering a limited number of Together We Thrive Endurance Exchange scholarships to foster diversity and bring varied perspectives to the event. Interested candidates may apply here. Priority will be given to people of racial and ethnic minorities, women, and those who may not otherwise be able to attend due to financial constraints.   More information about session topics and speakers will be available at enduranceexchange.com as details are finalized. In this episode we discuss childhood gender play, complicating trans coming out narratives, the significance of sobriety and secure relational attachment in Colin’s creative life, her relationship to punk, dissociation and transformative justice and the clarity that comes when you get on the right psych meds. I really love Colin. I hope you enjoy this listen. Colin Hagendorf is writer, podcaster, trans Jewess, and New Yorker in diaspora. She is the author of the 2015 recovery memoir, Slice Harvester: A Memoir in Pizza, and an as-yet-untitled novel in progress about lesbians in Queens that Brontez Purnell described in a text message as “East Coast Love & Rockets.” She writes the monthly print fanzine Life Harvester with her partner, Rebecca Giordano, and hosts, engineers, and edits the podcast Life Harvester Radio, a series of monthly conversations with writers, artists, activists, tattooers, musicians, and other counter culture types about their cultural production under capitalism, aka “why should we make stuff when society sucks?” LITQB Podcast: This is a podcast about the barriers to embodiment and how our collective body stories can bring us back to ourselves. This is a podcast for people who identify as queer or for people who might think of their relationship between their body and confining social narratives as queer. This can feel like an isolating experience. Our wounded bodies need spaces to talk about struggles with nourishment/disordered eating, body image issues, dysphoria, racism, heterosexism, transphobia, xenophobia, substance use/abuse, chronic pain/disability, body changes in parenthood, intergenerational trauma, the medical/wellness/therapy industrial complex and its lack of inclusion of queer bodies and much more. At a time when America is ripping apart at the seams, The Reunited States is a powerful and urgent documentary that follows the unsung heroes on the difficult journey of bridging our political and racial divides. Susan Bro, who lost her daughter when a car drove through a group of counter-protestors in Charlottesville, and David and Erin Leaverton, a Republican couple who travel to all fifty states in an RV to find out what divides us, are just a few of the characters profiled in the film. Each of these bridge-builders have realized that while our divides run deeper than they ever could have imagined, so does the love and hope to bring our country back together. Based on the book of the same name (which features The Village Square) the film urges us to consider that everyone has a role to play in reuniting the country. We’ll be joined by the author of the book, the filmmaker, Heather Heyer’s mother, and former Senior Field Director for Republican Senator Bob Corker for an important conversation about what citizens can do to heal the gaping divisions damaging America. Registrants will receive a link to watch the film anytime ahead of the screening. Watch the film here.

What we loved about this question is that they included the word organic. Organic growth is still possible and can work wonders!Should my Instagram posts be the same as my stories? Or should I be posting in stories more? We refer back to a previous episode (episode 33) on our podcast where we explain that Instagram Stories is like your reality show. To answer this question, we provide some great tips and techniques to maximize your Instagram Story strategy. What are your thoughts on the follow / unfollow method? Boy do we have strong feelings on this method. To sum up, neither of us our fans of this “method” and you’ll hear why at the 35:00 minute mark. What advice would you give someone who is just starting out? This is a great question and we loved sharing some techniques around goal setting, Instagram strategy, theme development and relationship building. How do you create Reels? Reels can be 15 or 30 seconds and are a great way to connect with your audience. We share some suggestions on how to get started with your first Reels. Physiotherapy Alberta has always fielded questions regarding Physiotherapist Interns and the Provisional Register, with questions relating to everything from the requirements for becoming a Physiotherapist Intern to the ins and outs of supervision and the performance of restricted activities. In the latter half of 2020 the number of questions received increased, presumably due to the delays to the completion of the clinical component of the Physiotherapy Competency Examination due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19.    This episode provides answers to the most common questions Physiotherapy Alberta receives about this group of Registrants. We discuss the Swiss Cheese Model of safety, and Physiotherapy Alberta’s perspective that the Physiotherapy Competency Examination is one layer within a system designed to make sure that only competent and qualified physiotherapists are providing physiotherapy services.    As time spent in supervised practice passes, most Physiotherapist Interns will progress in terms of the nature and intensity of supervision that they require to practice safely, but what exactly does that mean? We discuss the differences between direct and indirect supervision and the instances where direct supervision is mandatory at the 6-minute mark of the episode.    We close with a discussion of restricted activities and the rules related to their practice by Physiotherapist Interns.    Resources: https://www.physiotherapyalberta.ca/physiotherapists/what_you_need_to_know_to_practice_in_alberta/standards_of_practice/supervision https://www.physiotherapyalberta.ca/physiotherapists/resources_to_help_you_meet_practice_standards/supervision_guide https://www.physiotherapyalberta.ca/files/supervision_agreement.pdf Links: Subscribe on Apple Podcasts Subscribe on Google Play Subscribe on Spotify

Why CMI is Breaking the Content Marketing Rules in 2020

Subscribe to Modern Marketing Engine on your app of choice. The year 2020 has seen many marketing events cancelled, postponed or gone virtual due to COVID-19. And Content Marketing World, the largest event for content marketers held in person each fall is going 100% virtual as well.  My guest on this episode of the Modern Marketing Engine is Cathy McPhillips, VP of Marketing at the Content Marketing Institute (CMI), the organizer of Content Marketing World, which is one of my favorite marketing events (I have never missed one since its inception), by the way.  Cathy oversees all marketing efforts for CMI, their events, their Chief Content Officer magazine (now digital only), their research, CMI University and all other CMI properties and happenings. Her goal is to grow the CMI community and audience online and offline. Pre-CMI, Cathy has 20+ years experience in marketing, including agency life, B2C, national restaurant and nonprofit marketing, and her own marketing consulting business. She’s currently also a board member for The Orange Effect Foundation. Listen to my conversation with Cathy to learn about the exciting plans for this year’s Content Marketing World virtual event. Content Marketing World’s 10th Anniversary Content Marketing World is CMI’s flagship event and although many marketers like me were looking forward to attending the 10th anniversary event live and in person, we all understand the need for this year’s event to go virtual. However, this won’t be your typical online event. Cathy explains how the CMI team didn’t design a virtual version of the annual in-person Content Marketing World, because mimicking the live event is not feasible. Instead they are focusing on the tracks that make sense for virtual delivery and the speakers who embrace virtual speaking. This year’s theme is “Break the Rules.” As marketers we all have documented content strategies, such as frameworks, templates and calendars that we are following -- which are great of course. But, the CMI team asks, what if we step out of the comfort zone, be creative and break the rules to do something new? If we want to differentiate ourselves and our organizations, we must break the rules. That’s what the speakers at Content Marketing World will be talking about, bringing some great case studies. In fact, I have the privilege of delivering a session on Account Based Podcasting (ABP), a term I use for using podcast content for lead generation at target accounts. So, what’s different about this year’s event? Cathy says the CMI team wanted to create an epic experience for attendees but also avoid Zoom fatigue and the heavy load that comes from working from home and juggling a million things. So they reached out to their loyal community and asked them what they wanted for this virtual edition of Content Marketing World. Additionally, the CMI team studied hundreds of virtual events to see what they liked and disliked, not only in marketing but also in other industries to avoid limiting their creative thinking. Here’s a quick overview of what they came up with and what you can expect from the 10th Content Marketing World. Community activities before the event and sneak peeks of some talks to warm up the attendees.  Extra sessions in November and December to follow up on what will be taught during the event in October. Access to speakers to ask questions. Online discussions within small groups before and after sessions. Events spread across several days. Workshops and forums available as video on demand. Main conference over four days - October 13 to 16, 2020 Live keynotes. Virtual happy hours and entertainment. Cathy says they have also created a strategy for attendees and sponsors to connect virtually. Registrants will answer a few questions about their company and their needs, and then will be matched with exhibitors who match their interests in the “Solutions Hub.”  “I want attendees to know which sessions to attend and which sponsors to visit, craving time with sponsors,” Cathy says. The goal of the Content Marketing World team is that attendees leave with the ability to create epic content experiences for their customers and stakeholders. Speaking from personal experience, CMW has achieved this goal for nine consecutive years. I’m confident they’ll do it again in 2020.  Don’t miss this episode to learn more about the most epic event for content marketers and why you must attend. Hope to see you there! These are fantastic questions because it shows that you're getting ready to really think through how to make the most of your online course launch. However, one key ingredient is missing here: you've not only got to consider how many people sign up but also how many of those people actually show up. People who show up are far more likely to convert to purchasers.  In today's episode I'm sharing everything you need to know about webinar registration strategy. You'll learn how to get sign ups, increase your attendees, and the basic equations you need to figure out how much profit you'll make based on potential scenarios. Implementing tips and strategies learned from this here podcast.   In this episode, Mike and AJ reveal the key takeaways from past Sold With Webinar episodes that helped put their course, ReviewPro Launchpad, on track to doing $1MM a year.   (Find links to all mentioned episodes at the end of the show notes)   Episode Discussions: The ad that dropped Mike and AJ’s cost per lead from $21 to $6 Strategies to boost live webinar attendance rates AJ and Mike’s high-converting webinar sales funnel How to use Facebook during your webinar to increase conversions Re-inviting an existing list to the same live weekly webinar When to go (and not go) evergreen Why you should consider offering 5-star reviews as a service Testing curiosity-based ads and pain-based vs desire-based ads Packaging an offer as a business growth strategy and business opportunity Automating with messenger bots A ringless voice messaging tool to send webinar reminders   [3:06] Mike Schmidt and Anthony Rivera Own AnchorWave - Website design, digital marketing agency based in Tuscon, AZ 15 years in business [6:11] Product: ReviewPro Launchpad is an online course that helps businesses get 5-star reviews. [8:58] Clients typically see results within 24 hours to 1 month from campaign launch. [9:14] The webinar is also packaged for freelancers and other agencies to include 5-star reviews as a service. [11:22] “You may be really close to something and just need to change the positioning of who you're selling it to...you might be just one reframe away." [12:30] What made the webinar successful? Transparency - about what was being taught on the webinar Curiosity based ads - helped with show up rate and dropped cost per lead from $21 to $6. Product isn't revealed until 20 minutes into the webinar. [19:26] Offer is $1K and the webinar converts 3-5% of cold traffic registrants. [20:26] Inspired by SWW guest Dan Henry: The audience is asked to write a Facebook post to gage interest in the service. Audience response proves opportunities and generates leads. [24:44] What boosted your show up rate?  Live webinar attendance rate: 30%-35% Emails: New registrants trigger a 3-part email sequence Messenger bot automation: Thank you page features a ManyChat button that invites registrants to join the Facebook group with a 3 min countdown timer - (inspired by SWW Guest Molly Keyser) Financial barrier: Registrants are offered a chance to watch a replay of the webinar for $3 instead of waiting for the live webinar (Wednesday 9 am PST) Reminders: Text message and voicemail drop via Sly Broadcast [30:39] When to go evergreen with your webinar. [33:15] Impactful content changes: copied successful webinars, implemented own successful strategies, added more value. [35:31] Joel's success with re-inviting an existing list to the same live weekly webinar. [37:25] What's next for AJ and Mike: Going evergreen and JV’s  [38:16] "It's a no-brainer for anybody who has a course teaching agencies or creatives copywriting or email marketing.” [39:35] Testing Ads and Conversion Optimization Testing new ads: Pain based ads are performing better. Longer video format ad had higher cost per registrant but had the best cost per sale. Social proof: Screenshots from Facebook group, emails, collecting testimonials via automation. [41:47] Pain-based ads vs desire-based ads (inspired by SWW Guest Jon Tarr) Desire-based ads attract wishful thinkers (no commitment) Connect with them on a current pain (committed to solving their problem)  [42:54] "We're super grateful for you and this podcast has been an amazing resource for us as we become more and more of webinar junkies ourselves.”   Connect with Mike and AJ Agencymastermind.com/learn Agency Mastermind group on Facebook Anchorwave.com   Mentioned in this episode: Interview with Dan Henry – Episode 19 Interview with Molly Keyser - Episode 21 Interview with Jon Tarr  - Episode 32     Follow and watch a behind-the-scenes look at how I’m personally launching a brand new 6 & 7 figure product from scratch at SoldWithWebinars.com/TV Join our Facebook group at SoldWithWebinars.com/Experts

How to Get 2,525 Webinar Registrants For Under 1K w/ Josue Pena | #030   If you've never thought about using Instagram as a source of traffic for your webinars, this episode might get you to reconsider. Josue Pena used a unique strategy to get over 2,500 webinar registrants from Instagram and did it for under a grand. Now he helps other entrepreneurs leverage the power of Instagram to grow their audience and effectively promote themselves for maximum exposure.   In this episode, Josue shares the simple strategies and tactics you can use in your industry to get massive amounts of traffic and webinar registrations with Instagram.   Episode Discussions: How influencer marketing works on Instagram The secret world of Instagram The 4 posts you need for an Instagram Story promotion What to look for in an Instagram influencer and how to reach out How to optimize text in Instagram posts for max engagement Which posts are more likely to get engagement The cost of hiring an Instagram influencer to promote you Instagram algorithm hack to 3x your post’s exposure How to negotiate with and persuade reluctant influencers Targeting highly qualified traffic on Instagram Instagram analytics and leveraging the algorithm How to monetize your brand as an Instagram influencer How to grow a brand-new Instagram account quickly Using Powerlikes, and high-authority accounts to promote your webinar   [3:18] Josue's story: From the Dominican Republic Initially started with social media to become a pro soccer player Refused an offer in favor of entrepreneurship Applied traditional business knowledge to Instagram strategy Grew account to over 4.5 million followers   [7:50] Maxed out 1000 attendee cap during 1st webinar. Pitched to over 800 people and generated 5 figures   [8:47] How influencer marketing works on Instagram: Find Instagram accounts targeting your audience and pay them to promote you. Either with an Instagram Story with swipe up or normal post pushes traffic to a link in the influencer’s bio or link to your account bio.   [10:45] How to reach out to Instagram influencers: Contact via email, KIK or Telegram messenger link in their bio Approach them as your brand or business to convey credibility and let them know what you're selling Ask what they charge for a promo Establishing a relationship with the influencer will go a long way   [14:08] How payment works and why you should only send payment directly to the influencer.   [14:54] A typical Instagram Stories promo: 4 separate posts over a 24-hour period Influencers address audience to drive awareness, sell your registration with a CTA to swipe up.   [17:09] Between 5-10% of the total follower amount will see the Stories. The same percentage of that audience will swipe up.   [17:40] Instagram influencers with personal brands are more powerful than those without.   [18:05] A typical Instagram post promo: Create a picture or engaging video and put text within the picture Pay influencer for 1 post with link in bio Make arrangements with the influencer to repost every 4 hours 90% percent of engagement is within the first few hours of posting   [21:20] An example of how typical influencers charge and how to 3x your exposure and traffic.   [23:44] How to grow a brand-new Instagram account Pay for Powerlikes and comments (not shout out’s) "If you have great content and know what works for your market space and industry, that's like the gasoline on the fire. You'll grow extremely quickly." Powerlikes: Audience sees which posts are liked and commented on by high authority accounts. Instagram surges relevant content from high authority accounts (100k+ followers)   [26:37] Negotiating price for likes and comments with influencers: Start the conversation with promotion price to gauge awareness of value and use as leverage when negotiating. Ask Stories and Likes & Comments price If they're reluctant, frame offer benefits in simple terms and concepts   [29:19] How to get quality traffic from Instagram: Don't push directly to the webinar Use a lead magnet to warm up audience (with optional Tripwire offer to help cover Adspend) and learn more about buyers Ask influencers for their analytics to assess quality of traffic   Connect with Josue Facebook Collective Entrepreneurs Online IGBoss.com for Josue’s webinar     Follow and watch a behind-the-scenes look at how I’m personally launching a brand new 6 & 7 figure product from scratch at SoldWithWebinars.com/TV Join our Facebook group at SoldWithWebinars.com/Experts
