This episode was chosen very intentionally as an episode that I know everyone needs to hear right now whether for the first or second time, so tune in and enjoy! Successful high-ticket launches and booked-out services with waitlists are not luck or a fluke. A lot of things come into play when entrepreneurs see success in their business and sales. There are skills and strategies involved, and one of these highly effective strategies is psychology around sales and buyer types. Implementing marketing strategies that speak to all buyer types has been proven to benefit sales in your business. Today's guest Natasha Zoryk is a business mentor who has scaled her business to achieve massive growth, reaching $200k + launches (without even posting on her IG Grid). Natasha has mastered the tactics of sales psychology and buyer types. In this episode, Natasha breaks down the different buyer types and explains the psychology of selling to each type effectively. In this episode, we cover… • The four different buyer types • Where most people get stuck in the sales process • How to implement sales psychology • Creating content to target each buyer type • How to sell high-ticket without posting every day "A lot of people say, sell the way you would buy. I couldn't agree less with that. Because no, that's the issue, you sell the way you think people will buy, but you don't know them. The best thing about sales psych is its customization to the person. It's not about you; it's about them." "You have to be consistent in the beginning but test things out. Don't let anyone ever tell you, you have to do something and believe there is only one way. There are 1,000,001 ways to scale and be successful. I'm living proof, and you're living proof." This is a replay of a top downloaded and raved-about favorite episode from the past few years! This episode was chosen very intentionally as an episode that I know everyone needs to hear right now whether for the first or second time, so tune in and enjoy! There are many go-to people in every nook and cranny of a specific type of market; there is probably at least one 'go-to' person that comes to mind in the niche or industry that is relevant to you. Today we're going to be talking about a whole different way of standing out and how to position yourself and position your business as a high-level, high-ticket, go-to brand in your industry. In this episode, I will discuss a bunch of different strategies that, when combined, will impress people at every stage and build that unwavering 'go-to person' brand reputation. In this episode, we cover… • Highlighting your authority & positioning yourself • What a stand out factor is • What makes a person a go-to person • Character traits to embody • Personal brand & likeability • Building a high-quality reputation "There are many go-to people. Not everyone is a go-to person, right? There are many go-to people in every nook and cranny of a certain type of market that you have positioned yourself into and dominated. Still, I'm never going to compare a high-level luxury vibe designer to a designer that's known for like her playful template shop. And that's the corner of the market that she dominated. They can both be the go-to, but you have to decide intentionally how you're going to position yourself within the designer market, and then go and dominate that." "No one is the go-to person that sits on the sidelines, and that sits on the bench, and that doesn't play, and that doesn't show up, right? The go-to person is visible. Everyone knows who they are. They're known for both their skill set and their execution in just this unmatched way that makes them, even when the competition knows about them.” Thanks for listening, and if you like what you've heard, feel free to share this episode with your friends! This is a replay of a top downloaded and raved-about favorite episode from the past few years! This episode was chosen very intentionally as an episode that I know everyone needs to hear right now whether for the first or second time, so tune in and enjoy! Building a business is a lot of work, especially in the beginning 'solopreneur' stage. We often have a lot on our plate, and we tend to put consistent pressure on ourselves. Experiencing burnout, overwhelm, and chronic stress is all too familiar in the entrepreneurial space; however, understanding what you're experiencing, how it's affecting you, and your limits are crucial for preventing the physical and mental effects of long-term stress. In this episode, we are diving into all things around burnout and chronic stress as an entrepreneur with Dr. Amanda Chay. Dr. Amanda Chay is a Naturopathic Physician, store owner, and business consultant for wellness professionals. Running a busy clinic, online education platform, and brick & mortar store, she realized the most common cause of hormone imbalance and chronic disease was chronic stress. Her background as both a doctor and owner/founder of multiple corporations has made her an expert in optimizing wellness and peak performance in body, mind, and business. In this episode, we cover… Chronic stress: What it means and how to identify it Recognizing the signs of burnout The difference between chronic stress and burnout The connection between cortisol and inflammation Actionable steps for recovery from burnout Setting and defining boundaries for preventing overwhelm and stress "When you're in that chronic fight or flight mode, like you have so much on your plate, you were late for the bus, or you got in a fight with your spouse, whatever it is, all these little things, our bodies start increasing cortisol. So you're always in this kind of high cortisol state. And that's when people tend to feel more anxious and overwhelmed, tired, but wired." "burnout is so hard to define because it's not actually like a medical condition. I think of it as typically, like low crash cortisol." "I think as entrepreneurs, we're always in the thinking, growing, expanding kind of phase in our mind. It's like, oh, what's next? What other cool things could I do? It's hard, I think, for entrepreneurs to be in the moment of being like, look at what I have and what's here. I think we're always kind of chasing the next thing. And that makes it hard just to calm down and be in the moment." This is a replay of a top downloaded and raved-about favorite episode from the past few years! This episode was chosen very intentionally as an episode that I know everyone needs to hear right now whether for the first or second time, so tune in and enjoy! Welcome to the first little reveal of my new brand. If you're listening to this episode in real-time - over the next few weeks, you'll be seeing my current company grow and expand. The motto of my new brand is 'made for more,' and my word of the year for 2022 is 'bigger.' I'm paralleling together this idea of deep knowing and craving more. I know every one of you has had a tipping point where you realized that you were 'made for more, and that is probably what led you to begin this entrepreneurial journey. In this episode, I break down my ideas and theory behind the three puzzle pieces to achieve your 'made for more' life. I dive into my journey a little bit and share how I used these concepts to achieve the life I live today. In this episode, we cover… • Made it VS Made for more • Limits - Is it possible? • Going against the societal norms • Your desires are your truths • Chasing after your calling "I know that if I were to do a raise of hands, every single one of you would be like, how the hell did I even get sucked into this weird entrepreneur, space, and world? Like, how did I get here, there was a moment in time where you realized you were made for more, and it started at all, for every single one of us" "I knew I was made for more, and I refuse to believe that what I had was it. I knew I had to jump in to see what was possible, to see what I was made of. I wanted to push the boundaries, push these edges to see what was more." “I want you to ask yourself, Where have I set limits for what's possible in my life? What do I believe? As of right now, in this moment, don't correct yourself but ask yourself, what do I believe as of right now is not possible for me?” Thanks for listening, and if you like what you've heard, feel free to share this episode with your friends! This episode was chosen very intentionally as an episode that I know everyone needs to hear right now whether for the first or second time, so tune in and enjoy! I am the first one to admit I overcomplicate almost everything in my life down to small details surrounding my day to day. So why do we overcomplicate things and why do we try to justify those complications instead of working on our thought patterns and well-being? Well, in this episode we jump into fine print questions, solutions, and everything in between! We can give ourselves a million excuses of why we do and think the way we do, but the simplest answer is we have to STOP making excuses and start actually doing the hard tasks of working on simplifying the simple details in our life. In this episode, we cover… A few ways we overthink small things Why we believe complicated is better than simple How chaos in our childhood may impact how we overcomplicate things Why getting your thoughts down on paper can help Questions to ask yourself to make sure you aren't overcomplicating your decisions “Society has trained us to overcomplicate things by essentially working longer hours or always doing the most.” “If there is a simple solution, it may not turn out or have all the factors the exact way that we want it.” “If you grew up in a chaotic environment for many many years, there's a chance that your nervous system may feel more comfortable in that chaotic environment.” Thanks for listening, and if you like what you've heard, feel free to share this episode with your friends! This episode was chosen very intentionally as an episode that I know everyone needs to hear right now whether for the first or second time, so tune in and enjoy! Do you have what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur? The short answer is YES. The long answer is that you need to understand the habits and traits of success and make them part of who you are and how you operate to achieve your version of success. In this episode, I am giving you the top 11 habits and traits that every successful entrepreneur has, what makes them necessary for success, and why you are 1,000% capable of making these a part of your own journey toward success. I'm also deep-diving into how we can start looking at success as a state of being, the importance of pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone, and which habits of success make some people rise quickly and others get stuck. In this episode, we cover… • Why success is not the end goal • Finding the patterns of success versus failure in entrepreneurs • Being willing to do the things that others are not • Why the path to success is not a sexy one • What discipline, endurance, confidence, and failure have in common “What makes people successful is, in essence, pushing the boundaries of what you're capable of, what you believe, and what you're comfortable with. Embracing failure again and again and again with excitement. To just be better ... and shifting the perspective of looking at success as a milestone and instead, looking at it as a trait, a state of being that you want to embody and become.” - Amanda Kolbye Thanks for listening, and if you like what you've heard, feel free to share this episode with your friends! Because it's not just about doing what actions are needed, we have to consider what we are currently doing in order to create a plan that will actually work. To do so, I suggest doing a "Get Your Sh*t Together" audit, which I explain in this mini moment! Our Favorite Quotes "We assume that we can simply do or add on whatever actions are needed in order to get to the goal, whatever that is. But what we don't actually consider is that you are currently in a cycle. You are currently in motion. You're not just sitting still at a blank slate starting new... "Without organization, without knowledge of how it's done, people can just write themselves into a hole and they'll have a thousand pages that don't make sense or they'll have gone off in this direction or that direction. Often times, we conflate knowledge with action, which leads to us ignoring what we already know and continuously searching for "the answer," even thought what we really need is to take action. In this mini moment I'll help you see how you might be holding yourself back by seeking knowledge instead of taking action, and how it all comes down to your decisions. Our Favorite Quotes "Too often we end up rolling our eyes at certian things simply because we know them or have heard them before, and thus we almost discredit them and keep searching for the answer elsewhere. We talk a lot about scaling your business, and today you're getting a behind-the-scenes look at how The Gameplan alum Anita Dykstra has scaled her business as a lifestyle-focused lead gen expert. While some business owners may see successful scaling as leading a huge team with a bunch of offers, Anita's scaling journey show us that in many cases, simplicity is actually better. Anita is leading a team of two, has streamlined her offer suite, and was able to take a whole month off earlier this year while her business kept running without her! Anita is a world-renowned travel blogger who has written and been featured in publications such as Lonely Planet, The Huffington Post, Skyscanner and more! She's used her blog content to work with some of the biggest brands and tourism boards around the world. Now she's using those same evergreen content strategies to bring automated traffic, leads and sales into her own coaching business. Since 2019 Anita's been helping coaches, course creators and service providers skyrocket their reach and visibility, drive thousands of new eyeballs to their websites, automate lead generation and bring passive sales by creating optimized evergreen content. In this episode, we cover… Why Anita decided to create a course-based business to support her lifestyle How she tests different strategies and offers The difference that tracking and analyzing data has made in Anita's business How The Gameplan helped Anita overcome a plateau Hiring a team ideal for your specific business goals Why Anita lives by the motto "Done over perfect," and how this mindset has contributed to her success Quotes "So the project management system was huge. I built out our entire workflows, how everything, goes together - a really good plan around that... that really allowed me to reach that next level, and have everything organized in one way and helped me actually know, all right, what are the actual things that I need to do in order to accomplish this or to hit this goal." "Done over perfect - that's my motto. That is something that I feel like I have really leaned into when it comes to my business, not just like, you know, creating an Instagram caption done over perfect, but actually like my entire business, like when I'm starting things, when I'm creating things, just getting done, not overthinking things like, 'Oh, is this, is this right? Is this going to work?' ...I just get it done, get it out there. Didn't work? Cool. Let's try the next thing." In this mini moment, learn how to diagnose what you need for your specific business to scale. I'm sharing the questions to ask yourself to determine whether you have a strategy or structure problem, and how internal issues tend to point to structural problems while external issues expose a problem with your strategy. In this mini moment, leadership expert Tomasha Suber shares her take on her definition of being a leader. Leadership isn't all about execution - in fact Tomasha sees a leader more as someone who is able to make effective decisions. This typically occurs because they want complete clarity and certainty before making a decision - but the problem is that clarity can only come from taking action. While yes, researching, consulting, and thinking can provide guidance to an extent, often when we seek out more information it is for validation & confidence, not actual clarity. In this mini moment, I'm explaining the threshold of when thinking is helpful, and more often, when it holds you back from your dreams. Our Favorite Quotes "When we don't take action, we cannot change our reality. We cannot build our business. We cannot buy the dreamhouse. We cannot quit the 9-5. We cannot scale to 7 figures. You cannot achieve your dreams if you do not take action. And overthinking is the opposite of action." There are 3 distinct types of businesses - passion businesses, lifestyle businesses, and achievement businesses - each with a unique internal driving motivator behind the priorities and decisions. And after working with hundreds of entrepreneurs and seeing the way a lack of clarity in what type of business I myself had created impacted my own level of satisfaction, I've recently come to the realization that understanding your business type is crucial to you being content with your business goals and lifestyle. So in this episode, I'm uncovering the 3 business types for you and explaining the goals and conflicts surrounding each type so that you too can clarity in what kind of business you actually want to be running right now. In this episode, we cover… The 3 different types of businesses: passion, lifestyle, and achievement The underlying goal and driving force of each business type The conflicts and frictions that often occur for each Why it's important to get clear on what you actually want right now How not realizing what kind of business I created and wanted impacted my own level of satisfaction Quotes "You cannot have it all at once. I've never seen anyone be able to have it all at once because the goals and the ways of operating these businesses, like the driving forces, they are literally in direct conflict with each other." "You're unhappy because you have conflicting desires, not because you're doing something wrong or because you haven't made X amount of money. You're not happy because you might be trying to build an empire and yet you don't actually want all the BS that comes with running a seven figure empire, right? You're not happy because you wanted a lifestyle and you got caught up in the achievement. You're not happy because you let others tell you life was about making money and that just because you can, you should, and that you feeling fulfilled doing your passion every day isn't enough, right?" This week I am sharing with you a real life training I did for the ladies of Laptop Lifestyle Bootcamp. To give some context, I had been asked multiple times how I get sh*t done - even when it's hard or I don't want to. In order to give this question the full answer it deserves, I recorded this video training to share some of my tips and suggestions for taking action and just doing it, even when you don't exactly feel like it. There is so much actionable information in this training that I had to share it with you all here on the Made For More Podcast! In this episode, we cover… How our nervous system impacts our ability to take action Why we often have to eliminate choices and opinions to be productive How expectations impact our emotional responses The importance of priorities in business & life The impact our environment has on our productivity & habits Mindset shifts to help you stay consistent and getting shit done Quotes "I'm a firm believer that you truly can have and do anything, but you cannot have everything at once." "You have certain habits and defaults that your body just has trained and gotten used in your current environment now. It's very very difficult to change your habits and way of thinking in the same environment in which you were used to other habits and ways of thinking." In these "Mini Moments" we pull some of my favorite and most impactful mini lessons from past episodes of the Made for More Podcast to give you a quick digestible lesson in under 10 minutes. When we feel lack, we can end up sabotaging our success. Instead, we have to state it how we want it to be able to manifest the abundance that we want. Along the way, we can address the money stories that we have developed through our lives to act without resistance. Our Favorite Quotes "State it how you want it. Because when you state it how you want it, it's creating a positive and real representation of what you want to be creating instead of what you don't have yet." And actually that stops us from seeing that there are other dynamics and other paradigms we can be in." "If you already knew you were worthy, then how capable would you be to step into everything that you wanted?" "Your worth is inherent. Like no lion wakes up in the morning and goes, no, I'm not worthy. I'm not gonna eat today. Like it's just a completely made up construct."
